Burg Döner in Hamburg

You go there for years, tip, and today a strange new guy yells at me that lunch only comes in cans! I ordered a Coke bottle, and both are the same milliliter. I'm never going there again.

I have to say, overall, the doner is good. What bothers me is that the salad and meat aren't distributed very well on the doner. You often end up with bites that only have salad or meat on them. For example, you could briefly stir the meat and salad in a bowl and then place them on the doner. Then it would be 5 stars. The staff were nice, too, but so far, I've only been there during empty times.

I've been there several times, and I always give them a chance, but somehow they keep doing it. Every time I order, I hear them insulting me. Of course, they don't dare say it to my face, but I think they're just so stressed out that it's normal for them and they don't even notice! Well, the food is okay, but the hygiene is generally poor, and as mentioned, the service is terrible! If you have a thick skin and want to take away free insults, you're in good hands here!

I've shopped there about ten times in the last few months – sometimes a doner kebab, sometimes a so-called "hot dog" (a sausage in a bun, not the classic hot dog as you know it). My experiences were mixed. Three visits were okay, but the last three were unfortunately disappointing. My last visit was particularly negative: I bought five hot dogs, each for two euros, including one for my wife, so she'd have something to take to work. Immediately after buying them, I ate one during my break from driving the bus – and I have to be honest: The bun was rock hard. It was obviously not fresh, not even from the day before, but more like the day before the day before. You can tell the product was no longer edible. I was offered several times during the purchase to warm up the hot dogs – presumably to make the stale bread seem softer. But even warming them wouldn't have helped. I threw two of them away immediately because they were simply inedible. My wife took the rest, not wanting to waste them, but I personally will definitely not be shopping there again. One or two slip-ups can perhaps be forgiven, but if things go this badly for the third time in a row, I'm simply done.

Today I wanted to give another chance to burg döner because last time food was absolutely disaster. In the end, today I came to burg Döner, made an order, heard that they are not ready to serve me food. In this case would make much sense not to write on google that you’re working 24/7 if you are not ready to serve food after midnight. Disinformation 100%, service quality 0%.

An absolute disaster. The meat was dry, the bread soft and sticky, and the sauce was barely worth mentioning. The "fresh" salad was obviously from yesterday—wilted, tasteless, and piled on in far too large quantities, probably just to get rid of it. Overall, everything seemed carelessly cobbled together. The store itself was dingy, and the employee seemed to have neither the desire nor the interest in selling anything. I've rarely gotten something so bad for the money. Never again.

It is one of the best Döner places in Hamburg and one that I had ever. The Mittagstisch is also amazing for its price.

New specialty: "Düner" As a regular customer, I have to say... Dürum Döner is getting thinner and thinner. (Half the meat) It would be a new product.

The employees were very unfriendly. One of them was in a bad mood and had his mind on somewhere else, so he made the wrong kebab. And then he complained about me being on my mind... the other, who wanted to give me change, asked me for a €5 tip?! On top of that, the kebab wasn't mixed well and the meat wasn't tasty. I would strongly recommend only eating there in an emergency.

A really good experience every time! I live nearby and go there quite often for the kebab by the subway station. It's really great! Everyone is really nice, every time, and they have good jokes! The atmosphere isn't the best, but it's pretty solid for a kebab shop. The food tastes excellent! I've never had any complaints; sometimes they even give me more of everything (out of politeness). Really great! Nothing negative☺️ Greetings to them! By the way, everything is very cheap, so this is at least one of the top 3 cheapest and best kebab shops in Hamburg.

Dear operator, I regularly observe that you take in money without posting it in your cash register. They don't even bother to hide it. The suspicion of tax evasion on a large scale arises. I ordered a pomm döner to take away. Before that, someone had also ordered one but somehow apparently not either. Then I got the cold fries and the half-finished pomm döner from the bowl only had 3-4 fries. Too much sauce otherwise the store was better, unfortunately I'm disappointed. Very good, but I just used chicken instead of veal and the fries dominated the plate! Meat on top just for decoration... Went back after a long time and got a kebab in bread. Meat, salad and sauce slapped on top at the end! The sauce overflows from the top and the meat is logically not there :( It used to be better, now it's just mass processing...

If you think being stingy is a good thing and don't value hospitality, then you've come to the right place. Hello, I bought a kebab there today on April 4th, 2025 and I have to say it wasn't tasty at all, unfortunately. A bit of meat at the bottom and then what felt like 1 kg of salad on top. I will never buy it there again. Very bad kebab shop Sorry. Better go eat somewhere else. Lg

Absolutely no recommendation. There was a rolled up paper towel in my food. Apparently a cloth fell in while rolling the Dürüm and was ignored??? Or it was already in the ingredients. An employee climbs onto the cutting board on the work surface to get something from the higher shelf. The employees work like they are on an assembly line and treat you like that. There's not even time for a hello, thank you or please. The ambience is as expected at a Ubahn store.

I think one star is still too many. The service there is really underground. I ordered something and wanted to eat there. The gentleman behind the counter rolled his eyes and slammed my plate in such an unfriendly manner. IMPOSSIBLE!! The food isn't that special either. There are definitely better kebab shops. Won't go there again!!

It wasn't even possible to get the kebab sauce on a plate or somehow separately for free, even though I ate there. A 1 euro extra!!! , even though it actually comes with sauce and it wasn't even clear to the seller that I was going to eat it. Because he only asked me afterwards if I wanted it to take away. Then pretty dismissive behavior on top of that. You simply don't get anything more for your money at Burgdöner Burgstrasse, because my kebab had hardly any meat and only a little salad... Customers are loudly attacked and there is no willingness to have a constructive conversation - even if there are misunderstandings. The food left me with a significant stomach ache, and the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. The Lahmacun for €6 was really very tasty. Everything was super fresh and the chicken was very juicy. Even after almost 15 minutes of transport, it was still super warm. The service was also super friendly and couldn't be beat. I don't understand the many negative reviews.

BURG DÖNER at the Burgstraße subway station is totally okay. I took a mini Börek and a coffee, all together it cost less than 4 euros and I thought that was great. The people who work here are very nice and friendly, the food is delicious and tastes like kebab should taste.

Hello During my visit to Hamburg, I ate there on blue haze. There was kebab and falafeldürüm. Both were very fresh and delicious. The chicken in particular had the right amount of seasoning and was very tender. There were 4 different sauces that rounded off the taste. thank you for the good food

Falafel doner ice cold and since only a dollop of sauce is drizzled on top, it's also dry as cat fur. Important for vegetarians: Falafel is prepared in the same bowl as the meat! Then 6 employees squeeze behind the counter and talk loudly among themselves, so that you have to say your order three times before it is understood. Apparently only designed for walk-in customers. Absolut respekloser Verkäufer. Der Service ist unterste Schublade. Das zeigt echt schon, welches Bildungsniveau er hat. Total von oben herab gegenüber Kundin wie mich. So gibt man nicht gerne Trinkgeld und verliert ihr eine Kundin. NIE WIEDER kaufe ich bei euch! @Verkäufer, der mich bedient hat: Junge, geh zur Schule und lern wie man mit Kunden umgeht!

Normaler Durchschnitt, 5 Euro weil man es zu Hause backen möchte und daher Salat und Soße extra mitnimmt ist schon heftig. 50 ml Soße reichen außerdem nicht wie ich feststellen musste. Warum es da immer so voll ist kann ich allerdings nicht nachvollziehen, macht wohl die Lage. Bedienung ist mit 3 Leuten ganz klar unterbesetzt.

Ein Menü (Döner, Pommes und Getränk) gibt es hier für 7,50€!!! Und es schmeckt alles auch sehr gut. Ebenfalls zu empfehlen ist die Linsensuppe. Man kann auch sehr gut vor Ort essen. Vor allem aber überzeugt uns jedes Mal das nschlagbare Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Deshalb kommen wir sehr oft dort hin zum Essen. Weiter so!
