Kull Bar Buffet is a place that stands out for its professionalism, attention to detail and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The staff is exceptionally kind and attentive, and the food is excellent — fresh, tasty and served impeccably. A place where you feel respected and welcome. I highly recommend it.

#nobuffet this is NOT an all you can eat restaurant. Portions are not big. It is in old town and has a patio. However if you want a full buffet, this is not it.

I walk whenever I travel to understand the city and get a feel for the right neighborhoods and entertaining spots. Kull bar stood out immediately. It has the combination of a beautiful and friendly crowd, welcoming staff and high quality food… not stuffy, fun and very inviting. Munich is a beautiful city with beautiful and warm people.. that all combines here! Unforgettable! A must while in Munich!

The food was truly delicious. I especially loved the ceviche--non-traditional, yes, but full of character. The radish added a fresh crunch and beautifully amplified the citrusy tang of the lemon. I I'll definitely be coming back for more.

This was my favorite restaurant—until my last visit, when we were served by an extremely rude waiter. He openly expressed his frustration and dissatisfaction, making us feel unwelcome as guests. Such behavior unfortunately undermines the entire concept and the valuable work of the kitchen.

4 Wochen vorher waren wir Vorort, um einen bestimmten Tisch für 6 Personen zu reservieren. Der wurde uns auch gleich fest zugesagt. Eine Woche vorher haben wir uns nochmal telefonisch vergewissert, ob das auch klappt. Wieder wurde der Tisch bestätigt. Als wir ca. 30 Minuten vor unserer Reservierung erschienen, sahen wir das unser Tisch geteilt wurde und wir bekamen ohne Entschuldigung einen sehr ungemütlichn Tisch mitten im Raum offeriert. Es blieb uns nichts anderes übrig!! Obwohl das Lokal übersichtlich belegt war, ließ der Serviceauf sich warten. Dazu kam, dass die Speisen den Preis nicht gerecht wurden. So bekamen wir z.B. 3 Stk. Spargel und 1/3 Forellenfilet für knapp €40. Die Weine waren gut, aber extrem teuer. Als wir den Kellner darauf ansprachen, dass unser reservierter Tisch den Abend nur von 2 Personen besetzt war, meinte er nur, dass er nichts machen kann. Unsere Enttäuschung war groß!

One of my favorite restaurants in Munich! 🔥 The food is consistently excellent, the wine selection is fantastic, and the super friendly and competent service provides perfect advice. Tip: If there aren't too many of you and you've already booked at Kull, head right next door to the legendary Massimo at Petit Café. There, you'll find equally excellent wines and Spritz, and you can simply enjoy the food from Kull served by him ☺️👌🏼 What a treat on Marienstraße! 🥳

Were here for dinner with 8 people. The service is very good and friendly, and one or two changes in the meal planning were implemented immediately - great. The miente is very relaxed and beautiful! The quality of the food is great and it tastes excellent. The prices in Munich are generally not low - but the Kull bar is more in the middle to upper range. I'd love to come back

A bit dated, but the food is nice

Food was very good but not exceptional. Excellent and very friendly service. A bit on the "to see and be seen" side, which is not my favourite type of place but the cozy atmosphere compensates for that.

We visited the Kull buffet again last night. We had a fantastic evening. We had guests from Switzerland, and they were amazingly satisfied. Excellent food, top service, and a fantastic atmosphere. A superb gourmet evening. A journey between Paris and New York. Thanks to the friendly team.

The one missing star is mainly due to the rather loud atmosphere, with not even all of the tables being occupied. The open wines were also at very different temperatures, from almost too warm to quite cold, which was probably due to an almost empty and then new bottle. However, the diverse selection of dishes, as well as their consistently high quality and enjoyment were a joy! The service was always very attentive and helpful.

Because of the positive mention at Michelin, we visited the Buffet Kull. We weren't disappointed. Quietly located in a side street, it can be easily reached from the Isartor. Even though the tables are very close together, we liked it inside. The background noise is not without its effects, but not disturbing either. The food is beyond reproach and was on point. The salmon trout tartare and the lamb are particularly noteworthy. Only 0.25 light is annoying ;-) The staff is friendly and always present. Pleasant background music. We'll definitely be back.

Great location in Munich! The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was nice too. It's a small restaurant where you sit rather close together, hence 4/5 stars, but otherwise everything was fine.

There are only fewer restaurants in a city that can maintain their quality for so long! Quality on the plates. The products are top. Taste like what they're supposed to taste like, the combinations are classic, more brasserie-style and therefore very reliable. The service was also great. "Our waitresses really made the evening a pleasure for us, including subjective recommendations, especially when it came to the wines. My companion's lactose intolerance was also addressed in an exemplary manner. Ambience, also typical brasserie... Calm and stylish. Audience refreshingly diverse and international. We'll be back!

Fantastic modern French food and attentive service, but over-packed and noisy dining room. I must say every dish we had from tartar to deer, fish to Hokkaido pumpkin was amazing. The recommended wine was also enjoyable and paired well with the courses, although the waiter definitely tried to upsell the more expensive wines. What we did not quite enjoy was the over packed dining room with minimal distance between the tables. In addition, the music plus the noise from the packed dining room's crowd makes it hard to chat amongst ourselves. At such a price point, I expected a more elevated ambience.

Very happening place in the city centre. Great lobster bisque and solid wine selection. Service ok but a bit slow and not up to top US restaurant standards.

Surprisingly well attended on Monday evening too! The restaurant was recommended to me and we used it for a small company event. To be honest, I wasn't impressed by the food, but it's definitely a matter of taste! Overall, still a positive evening.

⭐ "The Great Kull-er Theater: Where Service Became a Foreign Word" [UPDATED] Ah, the Kull Buffet - once our Munich insider tip, today an impressive example of how to sacrifice years of hospitality for an efficient water heater. The kitchen continues to conjure up excellent dishes, while the service staff has perfected the fine art of strategic oversight. The absolute highlight of the theater? Six adults are crammed into a table of four, garnished with half a side table - a seating arrangement where you get to know your neighbor's elbows better than your own food. When we asked the boss about it, we got his Oscar-worthy one-liner: “Everything is small here.” Brilliant! An answer as versatile as it is ingenious - it fits the space available, the quality of service and probably also the level of customer understanding. The rest of the evening turned out to be a symposium of cultivated neglect. Empty glasses become silent witnesses to the service optimization, the red wine comes at a temperature that is more reminiscent of a sparkling white wine, and after the starter we celebrate 20 minutes of contemplative plate meditation - probably the in-house version of mindfulness. Conclusion: The kitchen is fighting a heroic battle against the system of maximum utilization. By dessert we were out - there are limits to how long you want to feel like a pass-through in an upscale restaurant. Unfortunately, you're fighting on the wrong show. ---- UPDATE after the restaurant response: The restaurant's response is such an impressive example of creative interpretation of reality that it deserves an update - with some illuminating details. A special treat in advance: our reservation, which we made weeks in advance, was followed up meticulously - first by email to confirm, then again by phone on the day itself. This almost military precision in scheduling makes it all the more astonishing that we were so surprised by six registered guests. Apparently, with all the communication, people forgot to include the crucial information - namely the number of people - in the table planning. Restaurant response highlights: - “Urban flair” and “communicative atmosphere” as a creative description for “the main thing is that more guests can fit in”. - The red wine temperature is maintained with the precision of a Swiss watch - it's a shame that this precision didn't rub off on the rest of the service. - The "extra table" is sold as an act of generosity - served after the main course with the caring comment "Now you can spread out". So much for the much-vaunted hospitality at the highest level. The icing on the cake is the appeal to the "New York style" - as if one had gained one's knowledge of New York exclusively from overbooked subway cars. 28 years of experience in the catering industry, and the most important lesson was apparently: the main thing is that someone else fits in. P.S.: To the kitchen - you are still the real heroes. It's a shame that your art is being used as an alibi for systematic refusal of service.

Das Essen ist fantastisch. Die Speisekarte ist kreativ und abwechslungsreich. Hier wird auf hohem Niveau gekocht, aber ohne chichi und bling bling. Die Weinkarte ist beeindruckend. Service 1 von 3 Service Kräften arrogant und ziemlich unkompetent. Keine ordentliche Weinberatung einfach mal zwei Gläser Wein zum probieren auf dem Tisch gestellt, ohne was dazu zu sagen. Garstufe beim Steak nicht eingehalten davon hatten wir zwei. Was die Preisleistung angeht, für den Preis hätte ich mir etwas größere Portion gewünscht.

Brasserie im New York Stil. Exzellente Cocktails, geniale Weinkarte mit offenen Weinen. Essen insgesamt handwerklich exzellent, sehr guter Service. Manche Spielereien wie Crêpes suzette am Tisch flambiert, lieber richtig hinten in der Küche machen als für den billigen Showeffekt aber schlecht am Tisch. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

We went to Buffet Kull Bar for a late dinner on a Friday evening, and as expected, the place was packed. We had a reservation for 21:15 and arrived on time, but unfortunately, we weren’t seated until 21:45. While that might frustrate some, it wasn’t an issue for us as we bridged the time with drinks at the bar and enjoyed catching up. The staff was very apologetic throughout, which was appreciated. However, I could see how others with tighter schedules might find this delay frustrating if they have a specific reservation time. Once seated, the experience took a great turn. We ordered quickly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive wine menu for such a small place—definitely a major plus. We both went for the steak, which was cooked to absolute perfection, and the sides were equally delicious. We finished the meal with desserts that were equally tasty. Now, here’s where Buffet Kull Bar really shone and earned its five stars: despite the wait at the beginning, our waiter graciously waived the desserts as an apology for the delay. This thoughtful gesture demonstrated excellent customer service and truly made up for the initial wait. Overall, it was a great dining experience with fantastic food, attentive service, and solid value for money. Highly professional and recommended for a cozy, enjoyable evening out.

We reserved a table in a professional setting. The service is friendly and efficient. The kitchen is ok. We were a little crowded at the table when someone was added at the end of the table.

Super experience immer wieder. Aber jetzt mit meinem Sohn und es hat ihm auch sehr sehr gefallen. Chateau Neuf du Pape war sehr besonders lecker. Der Service hat in den letzten Jahren stark abfenommen. Man wird mit den Worten … „ der Tisch ist nur für 2 Stunden Ihrer“ begrüßt. So was gehört sich nicht. Ich bin hier seit vielen Jahren regelmäßig… wenn das Essen weiterhin schlechter wird, was deutlich zu merken ist. Dann ist das Essen zu teuer für diese Lage. Schade um diesen ehemals tollen Laden. Aber mei … so ist das wohl. Schnelles Geld gerne … schnell Essen und dann weiter bitte.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Munich. I go out and eat a lot, but buffet Kull never disappoints. Never! Food quality is amazing but the mixture of interior, music and human vibe is one of a kind. They are the sweetest employes, yet with lots of knowledge. Wines for a reasonable price - and i adore the whole team. Would give 6/5 at least 💗💗💗💗

Una bellissima esperienza culinaria parigina a Monaco. Abbiamo ordinato lo steak NY style, il pollo farcito, patatine fritte. Due Passion fruit Martini eccezionali! Dessert da urlo: creme brûlé e tarte tatin! Acqua: €8,90 mi sembra un po’ eccessivo!!! Per il resto una esperienza veramente unica!

Kellner waren super, toller Service, zu Begrüßung wurde uns aber sofort gesagt, dass wir nicht länger als 2h bleiben könnten! Das Essen war fein, etwas kleine Portionen für den Preis aber das ist ok für uns! Der zweitgünstigste Wein lag bei 50 Euro die Flasche! Irre! Die Tische standen so eng, dass wir ständig mit dem Nachbartisch kommunizieren mussten! Man kam fast nirgends durch, das ist unangenehm! Wir würden nicht wiederkommen! Aber es muss sich ja nichts ändern, der Laden war recht voll mit einem typischen Münchner schicken Publikum!

I have been a guest at the buffet Kull bar for years. A wonderful place to meet with friends or discuss professional topics. The team serves excellent food in a quiet location. The map is well sorted and not too big. There are also changing daily specials. Everything is always fresh, on point and of consistently high quality. I am particularly pleased by the very good, friendly interaction with the staff. You enjoy going there and feel like you're not just a "guest" but a welcome visitor. I can only recommend the restaurant without reservation and advise everyone to visit it. Reservations in advance are important as the restaurant is very busy and has many loyal regulars.

We had the special. We got schnitzel and the steak. They were okay. The oysters were not shucked well. Calamari was good. Good selection of wine but our server was not knowledgeable about it.

Una noche muy decepcionante. Tardamos casi una hora en llegar nuestros platos principales. No era como si los camareros fueran conscientes de esto mientras continuaban recargando nuestras copas y proporcionando una segunda botella, que estaba casi vacía cuando llegaron los platos principales. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years and it’s always a wonderful experience to eat here. The service team is supernice and the quality & presentation of the food is outstanding!

Entramos justo cuando la cocina cerró, el personal era muy amable y mientras caminábamos por la calle escuchamos un fuerte silbido y un camarero muy amable (Dieter) corrió hacia nosotros y dijo que el personal de la cocina estaba dispuesto a servirnos. ¡Me quedé boquiabierto! La comida y el vino eran absolutamente deliciosos, la decoración y el ambiente muy chic y relajante. Dieter fue nuestra estrella para la noche, muy bien informado, amable y atento. Volveré en cuanto regrese a Munich. * Como alguien que ha trabajado en cocinas recomiendo llegar a un restaurante a más tardar media hora antes del cierre de la cocina.

Mi hijo tomó un filete aquí y dijo que era el mejor filete de la historia. Estaba muy contento con mi cordero. Otros en la mesa disfrutaron de sus comidas. Todos pensamos muy bien de nuestra cena aquí. El servidor fue notablemente excelente con sus recomendaciones e interpretaciones de las necesidades de mi familia. Disfrutamos de una botella especial de vino de su carta de vinos. Buffet Kull fue uno de mis 3 mejores restaurantes mientras estaba en Munich, y lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

Service and food great. The only shame is that our reservation for 6 people wasn't reserved for the terrace. Even though the first row at our table got some fresh air on this summer day, the third row suffered. That was a bit of a shame.
