It was a really nice and modern restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive The food we had was decent, the amount of meat that you had to pay extra for was far too little in our opinion. The homemade lemonade was really tasty.

We were here again after a long break and were very satisfied. The food was great. Only the tables are too close together so that you can hear every word from the neighboring table.

Unexpected good food at a great price level

Generally speaking, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is good and authentic Vietnamese. However, there are two main points of criticism that significantly detract from my rating: 1. The price/performance ratio isn't right for me (a curry with shrimp and relatively few vegetables for €22.99 is significantly too expensive), and 2. There's a very unpleasant stench from the basement (restrooms). This sewer smell permeates the entire restaurant. It might be okay for a snack bar, but at these prices, it's an absolute no-go. Overall, Buddha Bowl didn't impress me, even though the food was generally delicious.

The ambience and location leave nothing to be desired. The food is lovingly and even artistically prepared. It tastes really good and takes the taste buds to new heights. Traditional cooking is done here. The service team is extremely friendly and authentic.

Very tasty food. You should make a reservation in the evening. The food is well prepared and tastes good. In addition to sushi, there are also normal dishes with noodles and rice. I think everyone will find something here. The service was fine. Only the toilets could use more cleaning every now and then.

The sushi was quite tasty. And the coconut and mango cocktail caused a stir among the children. The pasta was delicious, and the chicken that came with it was melt in the mouth. And this pasta was hanging from sushi sticks inserted into the stand and it was very beautiful - flying pasta. It was very tasty, unusual and beautiful.

For the first time I stepped into the restaurant, I immediately notice how serene, calm and very cosy this place really is. Buddha Bowl Hannover attracts a whole spiritual energy with the lowlights ambient and chatters of the crowd in a whisper. The waitress was very kind and lovely. Very welcoming and even attentive by dropping by to say hi and ask how our food was. I‘m a southeast Asian and my taste buds are highly sensitive when it comes to asian cuisine, and this place really does brings a nostalgic feeling of home. We were lucky there weren’t many customers around because it’s noon on weekdays. Overall, we had a lovely experience. Definitely worth it and will be going there again soon next time!

Existing table reservation from 1700h, the first one was Reservation number not found, after a long discussion (which number/which name etc) we were assigned a table. Then there was a long waiting time, the order was requested at 1740, no service beforehand, but the food came to the table quickly. Now asked to leave at 1815h as there would be another reservation. I'm sorry, what?! Disaster, we won't be coming back. Unfriendly, very bad service, the food is good, but there are other restaurants in Hanover where the overall package is right and the food tastes better. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the evening.

The food was great. A bit exotic but really good. It was very narrow and loud in the restaurant. It also smelled a little too strongly of lemon. Kind of uncomfortable. The service was nice. Prices are not cheap, but justified in my opinion.

So I have to say, the food was okay, not necessarily better than in comparable places, but what was really negative was the condition of the toilets. There was a smell due to a lack of thorough cleaning, and what was awesome: it was dark because the low ceiling lighting was partly broken and instead of a light there were two uninsulated wires hanging down exactly at head height. A restaurant that treats guests so carelessly should usually be closed immediately. There is definitely a danger to life. I hope this danger was eliminated quickly.

The store smells like toilets, you can smell it everywhere and the food isn't served ready.

It is a nice atmosphere with beautiful decorations. It is a nice sushi place but kind of expensive. I really enjoyed the sushi. But I was ,me as a former restaurant owner‘s son, really disappointed with the customer service. Waitress was really rude. Customer service is always more important than the food and restaurant. Also charging 50€ cent for taking away the leftovers is a fraud.

The reception staff was incredibly rude. I was here with my partner and it was really strange to see such behavior in a restaurant like this. I will definitely never come back. We wanted to eat and have a good time, but the experience was just bad. The sushi was OK, but the noodles were pretty average. When paying, the staff behaved as if something was wrong and the expressions on their faces were really rude. When I wanted to take the rest of the food with me, I was asked to pay 15 cents for the packaging - that sounds really ridiculous. In general, I would recommend that the staff treat guests more politely.

I have been to this restaurant so many times I have basically lost count. It is by far one of my fav restaurants in Hannover. The food has always been amazing and the atmosphere as well. I would recommend to reserve a table when going here in the evening especially on a Saturday it can get quite full.

The ambience is very nice. It is quite dark, but it exudes a special atmosphere. The service was very friendly. We had sushi, which was also very good and great. The fish and vegetables in the sushi were very fresh, but the sushi rice wasn't quite to my taste, so I deducted a star, but that doesn't mean anything because everyone has different tastes. The other dishes that were served at the next table looked very good and smelled fantastic.

Very tasty food, healthy, fresh ingredients. I had a bowl of roast duck. The duck was very tender and not at all greasy, unfortunately I know it differently. The vegetables are crisp and fresh and the rice is very sticky and aromatic. The whole meal was well seasoned. Service could be better, you have to wait quite a long time until someone comes to order something. However, the staff was very friendly. I would put prices in the higher range. Overall, I can highly recommend the restaurant.

Of all the three dishes that we ordered, the most worthy of taste were the small salmon rolls, which is actually hard to spoil, the establishment is not large, the service is neutral!

We were lucky to get one of the unreserved tables in the evening. The food was very tasty and the service was quick and very friendly. The ambience is a bit dark but very harmonious. Unfortunately it is also a bit noisy when the room is full, but no more so than in other comparable restaurants. The price is absolutely reasonable! Roughly €25 for a main course and a large homemade ginger lemonade (yum) is almost a snap! Overall, I recommend it!

I have to say, after Corona the staff and the quantity of dishes decreased. The portions have become smaller and more expensive. It's a shame that you don't get anything more for your money. I then have to think twice about how often I can afford it

The food tasted very good. Unfortunately the service wasn't good towards the end, even though our drinks were long gone, no one came by even though there wasn't much going on. The service staff were practically standing next to us, but everyone was busy on their cell phones and basically ignored us. That was a shame because we actually wanted to order something else.

We spontaneously went to Hanover today, September 7th, 2024. Since we were a little hungry, we ended up here. The restaurant is located on a small street where, unfortunately, cars drive past the tables regularly (every few minutes). The food was lukewarm and the soup (pho soup) unfortunately didn't taste like anything. Unfortunately the portions were too small for the price. The service was quick and friendly.

The restaurant almost deserves five stars. The food and the ambience are very good, but you have to be prepared to pay a little more than the "standard" price for it. Unfortunately, the flexibility and reliability of the staff is suffering a little due to the current large influx of guests. So you often have to ask twice for drinks or other reorders and once you've finished eating, you quickly feel like you're being asked to leave the restaurant by the next guests who are already waiting. One or two fewer tables and a little more planned time between two reservations on a table could possibly make an improvement here.

The taste of the food is okay. But the portion size is ridiculous for the asking price. 22€ for a few rice noodles and 5 pieces of duck, that's just too much. You definitely won't get tired of it. Therefore, in my opinion, the restaurant is not recommended. Service itself was a little below average. Wasn't even asked if any more drinks were wanted. And until you could pay, time passed unnecessarily. The food itself and the first drinks came quickly.

Very tasty 😋 The prices are okay

Food is overpriced for what you get in terms of quantity and content. The salmon summer rolls were filled with lettuce and very little dry salmon. The lemonade a little too sweet. The coconut soup also saves a lot on the chicken side dish.

Extremely disappointing that Buddha Bowl has gone down quite a bit and become really expensive. I do not know where to start... The reservation has been lost...but we are still allowed to choose a place. We take a seat outside, the weather is fine. At first I don't know where I can put my bag, the sidewalk leading to the restaurant is dirty, full of weeds and nettles. The menu is already on the table, after a while our order is taken and served fairly quickly. So far so good. After inspecting my sushi or tempura, it looks like it wasn't the version I ordered. When the waitress finally appears, I explain my suspicion...she looks, says it's tuna...the next second she snatches the plate away from my face to ask the chef...I'm left speechless. After a few minutes she brings the plate back with the comment "it's tuna". In my universe, tuna looks different... but ok, taste wise it was fine. At some point it will be cleared away. Nobody asks if we would like anything else, even though we sat there from 6 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. I used to love Buddha Bowl and never missed an opportunity to eat there or take something to go. Today my enthusiasm has waned, but I have found a much better "sushi dealer" in my area that is simply leagues better.

Ambience is really nice but still me and my friends were very disappointed with the food and service. We waited almost an hour for a small plate of sushi. The avocado maki were rock hard and the rest of the sushi wasn't fresh. In terms of price, the place is not worth it.

The restaurant has a nice location, the sushi is delicious. However, the service sometimes takes a very, very long time. You often have to wait a long time before the order is taken. Unfortunately, as a vegetarian, there are very few options for me when it comes to sushi. I know a lot of restaurants that have a lot of good veggie sushi. You could definitely do more with it. Nevertheless - the (especially crispy) sushi is delicious (luckily it is also available in a veggie version!

The food tasted okay, but for the price it wasn't anything special in my opinion. The ambience and the price promised a little more, I have to say. In general, I was a bit surprised at the portion that was given to me for just under €20. It was really little zand, maybe 150-200 g of chicken and for just under €20 with a bit of rice and vegetables I think it's a bit steep. The staff was very nice, the order was taken quickly and the food came relatively quickly. My conclusion: you can definitely go out to eat there. But people who are more hungry should go with their friend so that they can finish their friend's food. Ha ha ha

I was there for the first time on Saturday. We sat outside under the trees. The umbrellas are not only used for sun protection but mainly for birds. In fact, the lady at the next table was also hit by a pigeon, which was unpleasant - BUT the restaurant can't do anything about that. should be more of a warning to future guests ;) I actually find the usual drinks too expensive, 4.40 for 0.3 drinks is already very steep - I drank a Shishol lemonade, which is highly recommended. Summer rolls like Tarta Avocado with salmon - were really excellent and very tasty. The dishes at the next tables also looked really great and tasty. The toilet and washroom are also very clean. I'd love to come back - but next time I'll probably do it indoors.

Unfortunately, glasses were not completely clean. Otherwise, the food was delicious, although it could have been a little more for the price.

Unfortunately I have to revise my previous rating. The quality of the food and the ambience do not match the sharply increased prices. The bowls are quite tasty, but nothing special, and €27 for some duck and vegetables is quite an announcement. The duck was little and not as tender as before. The sushi tastes generic, is nothing special, but is also expensive. For less money, the fresh food counter at Edeka am Kröpke delivers equivalent or, in my opinion, sometimes tastier sushi. The drinks are delicious. In some places there is a strong toilet smell coming through. If you eat as a couple with two drinks, food before and dessert, you're happy to leave 120 euros here, and unfortunately I have to say, it's not worth it. It's better to go to a really good quality restaurant for a little more money, where the taste is special and matches the price. I think it's a shame that Buddha Bowl is based on its original good reputation and is becoming more expensive, but the quality is declining. The store is still full.

Apart from the fact that the prices have already risen quite a bit, the portions have shrunk. Today a friend brought me there for the first time, even she said “what small portions those would be”

The ambience of the restaurant, a beautiful, quite dark dining room, skilfully showcased the Asian specialties. Our visit fell on ‘Sharing is Caring’ day, which allowed us to enjoy a variety of dishes together. It started with a mixed starter platter – a true 'best of' Asian cuisine. The crispy spring rolls and the steamed dumplings were the highlights, even if the summer rolls could have been even more flavorful. The sauces served with it rounded off the taste experience. The 'Lovers Plate' with its spectacular sushi, presented with dry ice, was not only a visual but also a culinary highlight, especially the fried pieces. About the drinks: The homemade lemonades, one with ginger and citrus fruit and one with shisu leaves and pomegranate juice, were tasty, but a little too sweet. The Vietnamese coffee at the end had its pitfalls when going through, but this hardly spoiled the overall impression. Despite the wonderful company and the spectacular presentation of the dishes, I have to mention that the price of over 50 euros per person speaks for the quality and presentation of the dishes, but it does not rise to the level of 'unbelievable-I'm-about-to-die-good' fully achieved. In summary, the 'Buddha Bowl' offered a lovely experience with excellent food and a welcoming ambience, but at a price that would put a deeper hole in your wallet. It's worth a visit for special occasions or if you want to do something good for yourself."

The “Flying Noodles” are highly recommended! The sauce with coconut and peanut was super delicious. All dishes are extremely attractively prepared. For many main courses, you have the option of ordering tofu in addition to duck, chicken, beef or shrimp. There is a huge selection for vegetarians!! The only drawback is the rather sparse lighting in the restaurant. There are also large tables for larger groups. And when the weather is nice, there is also plenty of seating outside. The old town location offers a great view.

Cons: Unfortunately there is a bit of a smell in the restaurant. I can't put my finger on it, it smells strange. Very dusty, if you look closer you'll notice a lot of dust and dust threads in corners, on the lights, under the counter, etc. A good wipe everywhere would at least significantly improve the ambience!

We went there spontaneously during the week around 6 p.m. and we got a table. As you can see from the photos, we got sushi (menu + extra cruncy rolls and the veggi version) and I have to say it was one of the best sushi I've eaten in Hanover! Ambiance was also very cute and service was also great! I can't complain at all, everything was just perfect. That’s why I can only recommend Buddha Bowl 🫶🏽

When it comes to service, you're simply at a loss for words

Nice location, food ok, long waiting times (30 minutes) even though there wasn't much going on. Ordered edamame as a starter...came 15 minutes after the main course. No card payment. Maybe they need another 3-4 months to get used to it.

Without a reservation it is difficult to get a seat there, unfortunately we were turned away a bit unfriendly the first time. Card payment is possible. The ambience is okay, but I wouldn't sit for a long time because it's a little uncomfortable. We had to eat: ✅ Mixed starter platter (it was ok, but I wouldn't order it again) ✅ Flying Singapore (super delicious)! with crispy duck ✅ Saigon Curry (also delicious) with grilled duck I would definitely come back again because of the flying noodle, it was super delicious! 😊

A nice and very cozy restaurant. My starter, a chicken skewer with peanut sauce, was very tasty and bigger than expected. However, it went well with my main course, the green mango salad. This one also tasted good, but didn't really blow me away. Ingredients were all fresh and that's the most important thing. Nice service, even if no one came to ask if the glasses were empty, someone was always available on a show of hands. So you can talk there for hours without being disturbed.

The sushi platter we had was wonderfully prepared and was super tasty. 😋 The only thing we would note is the slight toilet smell that floats slightly in the air. You have to like the two-hour time window, it was okay for us today.

Es gibt eine gute Auswahl an Gerichten. Auch alles frisch zubereitet und schmeckt sehr gut! Der Laden ist nicht sooo groß bzw so viele Sitzplätze gibt es nicht. Es fühlt sich alles sehr zusammen geschoben an und eher als ob man aufeinander sitzt. Was aber garnicht so das Problem ist. Was mich gestört hat war die Lautstärke. Alle Sitzplätze waren besetzt, dadurch war alles voll und die Lautstärke war enorm. Ich habe meine sitznachbarin die gegenüber von mir saß nicht verstanden was sie mir erzählt hat in einer normalen Lautstärke, wir mussten uns also quasi "anschreien". Das ist der einzige Punkt weshalb ich sagen würde ich gehe am Wochenende dort nicht mehr hin. Dann eher zu Zeiten wo kein Hochbetrieb ist. Dennoch lohnt es sich von der Qualität des Essens dort einmal hin zugehen.

Titel: Enttäuschende Erfahrung bei Buddha Bowl in Hannover Bewertung: Wir hatten für einen besonderen Anlass - einen Geburtstag - für 18 Uhr einen Tisch für 10 Personen bei Buddha Bowl in Hannover reserviert. Leider wurde unser Abend durch den Service stark getrübt. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft spürten wir einen unangenehmen Druck vom Personal, insbesondere vom Kellner, der uns das Gefühl gab, wir müssten bis spätestens 20 Uhr fertig gegessen haben. Dies beeinträchtigte unsere Feierstimmung erheblich. Als es dann 20 Uhr wurde, war unser Tisch immer noch unbelegt, obwohl keine anderen Gäste auf einen Platz warteten. Dies verstärkte unseren Eindruck eines schlecht organisierten und wenig gastfreundlichen Services. Anstatt einen angenehmen Abend in geselliger Runde zu genießen, fühlten wir uns gehetzt und unwohl. Für ein Restaurant, das sich in einem solchen Umfeld befindet, war dies eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir hatten gehofft, unseren besonderen Anlass in einer entspannten Atmosphäre zu feiern, aber leider war dies nicht der Fall. Daher können wir Buddha Bowl leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ohne Reservierung geht nix. Wenn man aber einen Tisch reserviert hat, gibt es wenig zu beanstanden. Das Essen hat eine super Qualität, der Service ist trotz voller Auslastung bemüht und macht einen super Job.
