Huge portions, food overall good but not excellent quality. Fair value for money.

We had to wait 1.5 hours for sushi, which was only a 5-minute drive away. The taste was okay, but the fact that the fried food (spring rolls and chicken pieces) arrived cold is really disappointing!

Freshly prepared sushi. It was delicious and the lunch specials are reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

My husband and I were in Hamburg for a few days and found this restaurant online. Let me go through a few points one by one: Concept: Since we saw on the Sushi für Hamburg website that they offered an all-you-can-eat sushi experience (AYCE), we thought we'd give it a try. However, once we arrived, we realized it wasn't the classic AYCE you might be used to. You choose between two options. 1. Option: The chef puts together a mixed platter of a maximum of 5 rolls so you can try everything. 2. Option: You can order a total of 3 rounds. The first round consists of 3 rolls, and the second and third rounds each consist of 1 roll. A nice idea, BUT it's not really AYCE. We were a bit confused at first because we hadn't seen this concept before and had to ask the staff several times because there were a few other rules to follow. We opted for the second option. If I remember correctly, the "All You Get" (AYCE) costs €21.90 per person. That's great considering you get five whole rolls. Atmosphere: A cute, modern place. It's very nicely decorated, not very big, but cozy. The lighting is quite dim in the evenings, though. And the music... I don't know what it's usually like there, since we only went once, but they were playing Spanish music. Even though I listen to Bad Bunny and similar artists in my everyday life, it didn't fit at all, in my opinion. It kind of ruined the Asian vibe. It's not a big deal, though; I just wanted to mention it. Service: The staff were super friendly and smiling the whole time. A very young and cute team; I found everyone really nice. It was busy that evening, with lots of people ordering takeout and also many dining in. Nevertheless, we had to wait about an hour and a half before we got our first plate of sushi. The first three rolls were quickly devoured; we were, of course, ravenous. Once the rolls were in our stomachs, it was time for round two... and then another long wait. Waiting until we could order again, and then waiting again for the food to arrive. We didn't get to the third round because the kitchen was already closing. A real shame. Food: The sushi tasted very good and was beautifully presented. There's something for everyone. I don't eat raw fish or seafood, for example, and even for me, there was a wide selection. Perhaps a bit too much in some cases. Some of it had absolutely nothing to do with authentic sushi or Asian cuisine, in my opinion. All in all, though, it tasted good. Conclusion: It was a great experience to have been there and eaten delicious food. I think it's worth trying if you like sushi and want to sample several varieties. However, I wouldn't necessarily go back there again. Make your own experiences, go and try it out; the food is quite good, I must say. It's definitely a great place to sit with your partner, family, or friends and have a wonderful time. You'll get a good meal, too. And if the waiting times are even shorter, then that's fantastic.
