Food is good and sufficient portions, but the price is something you have to want

Very nice service, delicious food

Schnitzel with mushroom sauce was the tastiest I have eaten in recent years. My son took the lamb with puree and was not disappointed either. I definitely recommend a visit!

There were two of us in the restaurant and we got a nice table without a reservation. The service was super nice and attentive. The currywurst was delicious and nicely presented with a small side salad. We'd love to come back.

We were here at lunchtime and just wanted to eat a small dish. We decided on potato dumplings with braised mushrooms. The portions were big enough to fill you up. However, the dish was not very seasoned and the lack of sauce made it a bit dry. A bit disappointing for the price of €15. That's better! But here you can relax on the rustic ambience of the house and are looking for walk-in customers who won't come back anyway.

Beer and food were very good, the service was friendly. Nothing to complain about

Service isn’t great, the white wine shorle was flat, and the best beers were all sold out. I would go somewhere else 🤷‍♀️

Excellent restaurant/pub on Kramerstraße in the heart of Hannover. It is located in a beautiful row of historic half-timbered houses, 50 meters west of the Marktkirche. The cellar walls date from the 14th century, the building from 1576, and the facade from 1830 (it is the second oldest surviving half-timbered building in Hanover). It is named after Cord Broyhan, a brewer who lived there from 1537 to 1561. The restaurant itself has a very nice simple menu, with traditional North German dishes (of good quality). The staff is also very nice and hospitable. We really had a great evening here (excellent ambiance)!

Wonderful local dishes. The staff is very attentive, nice. Also good English for tourists. We had 2 dinners as we loved it, had to come again.

A truly beautiful restaurant, with a vaulted cellar. The service was excellent. There were 15 of us, and the waiter knew exactly who had ordered what, even though some people had moved around.

Place to try typical German food. It was good but nothing too special. Good service. The restaurant is in one of the oldest buildings in Hannover.

The schnitzel here is not the typical hard one that is fried in a lot of oil, but I get the impression that it is made with care and care. The mushroom sauce is also delicious. The portion is huge and it comes with a salad for 22.5 euros, which I think is pretty good. There don't seem to be many employees, and the inside of the restaurant isn't large, so if you're a large group, you might have to wait, but I'm impressed by the careful preparation of the food.

In a big city with an ambitious location you can get a good price/performance ratio. Something like that doesn't work in the provinces

We felt very comfortable in the Broyhan House - from the friendly acceptance of the reservation to the excellent food to the attentive, competent service, everything was perfect! The Muscovy duck in orange sauce with red cabbage and croquettes was a delight, as well as the delicious Dornfelder and a schnapps at the end - you couldn't ask for more! We sat comfortably and there was also good music - that's not the case everywhere! Many thanks to the team and warm greetings to the kitchen!

It was a really pleasant experience the historical ambience of the restaurant is immediately impressive for anyone who wants to try traditional German cuisine it is a great option the German beers are particularly tasty the staff was friendly and the service was quick the place is very authentic and cozy, just right for a traditional German restaurant. A very nice atmospheric location, very cozy and the food was terrific and the rump steak was very tasty. The service was friendly, I can only recommend the Broyhan Haus. I can also recommend the beer soup that Future Fall and Basti always eat.

We stayed there two years ago and returned in 2024 and this restaurant never disappoints. It is divided over two floors. On the first floor there is a restaurant with a low ceiling furnished entirely in wood which offers a magic of warmth and welcome. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The typical dishes of the local cuisine are delicious and the portions are excellent. It's located quite centrally so parking is a bit of a challenge. There is a toilet. There are also tables outside.

What a bad experience here. Unfriendly service from the woman behind the bar, you are not allowed to ask anything and immediately receive an unpleasant comment. You don't feel welcome here as an outsider. Very customer Unfriendly. People like that don't belong in the hospitality industry.

Nice, old, very quaint restaurant. We were looking forward to good home cooking. Home cooking doesn't need to be garnished unnecessarily. Cover game goulash with rocket? The goose was ok, unfortunately not anymore. The Brussels sprouts were overcooked. Apple strudel with ice cream, vanilla sauce and cream. Well-intentioned, but just too much of a good thing.

This is where I got to experience my innermost self. Jjincheong!! Oh my gosh!! This is a place where the owner, Mr. Jumuni, shows his approval. Jjoli Manheunte Jwali Eupttagu Nagaranggu. The owner of Banmyeon, Mr. Ajo, seems to be nice. It was the first time I felt recognition at Lambton Hanover. I'm hesitant to go.

The oldest building in Hannover and great for a drink. We didn't eat here although the food did look amazing and decent portion sizes.

Very nice staff in a really homely atmosphere. The price would have been justified for good food. However, 3 small hash browns were fried to death and there were no grated potatoes in the pan, which wouldn't be rocket science. Unfortunately, the pork fillets were also fried for too long. All in all, you can prepare this fresh without much effort, without a deep fryer... Maybe it was the current Christmas market, actually we were sorry because the staff and atmosphere are great...

Beautiful ambience, delicious food and fun service made our Christmas party a cozy event. Relatively large selection of dishes, with everything from currywurst to game goulash. Short waiting time, well coordinated service.

Great experience with very nice hospitality

We had lunch here. The atmosphere is very cozy. The service is a bit sloppy and clumsy. The food was okay, but nothing more. The schnitzel was well fried and the fried potatoes had no color at all. The fish was very fatty. The salads were a bit bland. Large pieces of iceberg lettuce and 1/4 tomatoes. The dressing was delicious. All in all, you need to get better.

Everything was perfect there. Spontaneous, friendly, competent and very, very good classic German cuisine. Price performance is definitely right here too. Thanks for the pleasant evening/afternoon to the entire team! <3

Great service and very tasty food The only thing that was a little annoying was that the sauerkraut broth spoiled the beer sauces and made the fried potatoes soggy. Maybe serve separately!

Mandatory stop when I come to Hannover. If you want to try authentic German food with a friendly and professional local atmosphere, this is your place. The knuckle with cabbage is a must-try, crispy skin with tender meat. Seasoned with a good wine it goes great. The menu is in German and English, and the staff will have no problem helping you. Very good experience.

We were here a second time now. Eating geese upstairs in the restaurant. Well, unfortunately the service was anything but friendly. The waiter had no desire at all and was totally reserved. The atmosphere is rustic, actually totally cozy. Our goose (we had leg and breast once) was ok, but a little too dry for my taste. Unfortunately I didn't have any dumplings, which I think is a shame.

A level above the average brauhaus. The place looks absolutely beautiful, the beer is good but the food is the real star. I had the grunkohl (kale) with pork and sausage. Absolutely delicious. The sausages are real home made. It is a bit pricey but If I lived in Hanover I would come here a lot. Would recommend to book in advance or get there before 6 as it got very busy and lots of people were turned away.

We were so looking forward to the duck today... but it was ruined so much by the female counter staff. We knew from the internet and from the sign at the entrance that it was open from 11:30 a.m. and the kitchen from 12 p.m. So there we were standing in front of the door at 11:30 a.m. and would have liked to have a drink before ordering our food. Then the employee hisses at us that it's not open yet. When I objected, she snapped back that I could look on the Internet. I showed her the sign at the entrance and replied that I saw online that it was open from 11:30 a.m. and the kitchen didn't start until 12 p.m. We were sent away with a bad look and bad words. Also at 11:30 a.m. an older gentleman who had also studied the map wanted to come in. Rudely shouting at the employees: “It’s still closed.” I know it's hard to recruit good staff. But here it is proven that customers are being scared away very rudely. The sound does it. We probably would have come back at 12 if this nice employee had had kind words. At Meier's Lust for Life it is more expensive, but the employees are much friendlier. The Broyhan House probably no longer needs it. Too bad.

The German duck leg meat is delicious, and the pork trotters and heel salad are slightly salty! It will taste better if paired with beer!

A delicious lunch. We loved it.

The restaurant is upstairs, which is why we were initially confused in the bar. But even though it was full and we didn't have an appointment, we were still offered a table. My friend and I have rarely had our food served so quickly. I had the grill plate and every meat was a culinary delight. We'd love to come back.

Well i’l be dam! Very traditional food and service as you would expected from the deep Forrest of Germany! Would were great and serviced the way it should. Really enjoyed the place . However if you think the waiter are rude, they’re not! Unfortunately, my first bad review on Google. We were there with a slightly larger group, around 30 people, at the end of June/beginning of July. I was looking forward to a nice evening. The restaurant is quaint, the menu read well. We were 2 longer tables and a small table of five. The drinks were taken, served after a short time and we ordered our food. Before that happened, the leader of our group appeared and told us to behave and not to bother the staff. We were blown away. I sat at the front and could see everyone at the table of five. Of course, you also talk to the tables next to you, etc., so I didn't always have all four in view. It got a bit restless, I asked the other four to stay quiet and went out with our boss. We spoke briefly; a single person at our table (the "perpetrator") was not informed. When we got back downstairs, two of us had already left in protest, the other three of us ate a few more bites, but of course we had lost our appetite. We then paid our entire bill, i.e. drinks and the food that was not eaten or only partially eaten, and also left the restaurant. I know my four colleagues very well (including my son) and can't imagine anything like that from them. All five of us sat together at the table the whole time and none of us noticed anything, then we would have immediately stopped it and sorted it out among ourselves or apologized. It's a shame that the relevant person wasn't explicitly named/shown. So our entire table was labeled as perpetrators and the entire group was torn apart. Apparently there wasn't really any interest in clarification, although that would of course have been very important to us, I myself am a board member of the association. However, thanks to a tip from one of those who stayed until the end, I discovered another theory. I can't prove it and I won't say anything more about it, other than the assumption that it's about generating tips from the remaining troops. Unfortunately, the reviews I found on Google often point to unfriendly staff. I think I still gave a fair assessment in view of the unproven accusation against us. I condemn any kind of violence, racism and discrimination.

Went there in a large group, the food was very good, plentiful and well seasoned. Unfortunately, the unfriendly service left a lot to be desired (plates were slammed on the table, I was simply left standing at the counter without saying a word when I paid). The space was also quite limited, so several people had to get up if someone had to go out. In my opinion, the staff was completely overwhelmed by the size of our group. It's a shame, because otherwise the atmosphere was very quaint and cozy.

The beef roulade was dry, tough and poorly wrapped. There was also a little sauce and the red cabbage apparently came from a can... unfortunately that was nothing

We ate tender beef with vegetables with bread underneath and chicken salad. Both dishes were really delicious. The waiter was friendly. Drinks are dry red wine and wheat beer. The place was atmospheric on three floors.

On the first visit I asked one of the staff whether he enjoyed his work. He answered yes. On the second visit he threw me out on the grounds that I had previously insulted him and his boss.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a very charming street and with very helpful staff. The schnitzel was delicious, and the duck was really tasty, with a fantastic sauce. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

The pork was dry, hard to chew and the rest of the dish was good (potato, cabbage), schnitzel was relatively good but not the best that I've tried before in many places. Stuffy inside, specifically on the second floor. Besides that, the staff was friendly and helpful. Good interior and atmosphere.

A great old established restaurant. The service is great, always friendly and I always enjoy coming here. It's been 18 years now and it's always nice. Unfortunately, absinthe might be missing from the drinks menu at some point! See you soon.

Food was OK. Maybe abit more love from the kitchen and it would be lovely. Waitress was nice but mainly absent. The establishment itself looked lovely and rustic.

The best meal I have had since we started our trip in Germany. Every bite of the lamb is a mouth orgasm. The waitress was attentive. Food waiting was acceptable and we got our bill fast after asking for it. The restaurant is rustic; old, wooden and lovely decorations. 2nd floor was quiet and calm when we were there.

We have visited the place for dinner on our way through the city. The food was mediocre. Tasted okay but nothing I would feel like I need to have again. I liked the tomato soup and the side salad the best. The servers were nice and the service was fast. Unfortunately there was no child seat for our toddler and another minus for me was that smoking is allowed on the terrace.

Very delicious typical German food (knuckle and sausages) with spectacular beer (Gilde) and very good treatment from the lady who served us (she spoke perfect Spanish). Highly recommended
