Bräustüberl Schloss Seefeld in Seefeld

We were at the Bräustüberl for a Christmas party. The food was rather average, but too expensive for my taste. To top it off, we were politely asked to leave, even though they were still open for almost another hour. A shame, because the atmosphere was quite nice.

Our go-to place for all occasions! Thank you for the many wonderful hours spent with you! Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options, great service.

Beautiful beer garden & cozy restaurant – a thoroughly enjoyable visit! We recently visited Braustüberl Schloss Seefeld and were thrilled! The outdoor area in the beer garden is truly beautiful – idyllically located and very cozy. The restaurant itself also has a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Our server, in particular, was great – helpful, quick, and with a touch of humor, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The food was truly outstanding: fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious! The portions were generous, and the prices were absolutely fair – the value for money is simply spot on here. Overall, a great place for a relaxed meal in beautiful surroundings. We'd definitely love to come back!

Great food in the castle courtyard

We went there for coffee. The pleasant, sunny garden was a real treat. The cappuccino was thin, very little, and had inedible milk foam. The cheesecake was a disaster, tasted chemical and seemed undermixed. Truly not recommended.

A beautiful location and, above all, quiet. One star deducted for the food, as the apple core should not have been used.

Extremely friendly service, great food choices & most importantly this place is infant/kid friendly. The clientele is also quite a friendly one. All in all, can totally recommend for families wanting a day out and a good meal!

The Bräustüberl is located in the castle courtyard. In good weather, there's a spacious outdoor area with a direct view of Seefeld Castle. The food isn't exactly cheap, but it's exceptionally delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

The beer garden is cozy in the castle courtyard. Could use some plants. The server was very friendly and really on the ball! The menu has a huge selection. Typical good Bavarian cuisine. The Schäuferl (pork shoulder) was tender as butter, the rind was crispy, the Räuberpfannerl (ruffled pancakes) and the vegetable Maultaschen (raw ravioli) were also very good! So everything was recommended. Dogs are allowed... The only downside is that the prices are a bit high. 1 point deducted for the prices

We even ate at the Braustüberl twice during our vacation at Pilsensee. Extremely friendly staff. The food was truly excellent, and there was something for everyone!

Slightly overpriced and the service is very slow despite low occupancy

I would have loved to give it 5 stars, but at €8.50 for a 0.75L bottle of water, I'm just not going to give it enough. The same bottle costs less than €1 at the supermarket. The food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch. Drink prices are outrageous.

We visited the restaurant and were very satisfied. The food, the service...everything was excellent. We were staying at a nearby campsite and walked to the castle...the climb is steep, but worth it 👍👍

Highly recommended. We were here with a large group. The food was incredibly delicious—everyone ate something different and everyone was extremely satisfied. The service was fast, good, and fun. We really enjoyed it.

The female waitress was pretty overwhelmed and she shouted at us because we wanted to open the parasol. It was an embarrassing situation, the guests in the garden looked over at us and we didn't know what the problem was. She didn't apologize and didn't show up again, and her colleague continued serving us.

From A to Z, it was top-notch. The food was regional and freshly prepared. Our waiter was a true Bavarian gem. Simply unbeatable. A little cheeky, but that's exactly what this restaurant deserves. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the region.

We were here during our vacation in August. The Braustüberl is beautifully situated on a hill and has a lovely beer garden in the castle courtyard. The restaurant itself is very quaint. You immediately feel at home. The service is very friendly and attentive. There is a fairly large selection of dishes. It's difficult to choose; some seem more delicious than others. The distinction between Bavarian and Franconian dishes is interesting. We ordered three different dishes, including the dish of the day, and we were all absolutely satisfied! Large portions, very hearty and typical of the region. Very tasty! The value for money is right! We will be back.

It went like this. The meatballs tasted like the filling of Maultaschen. Maybe they use sausage meat for everything here :-) Glasses smelled unappetizing. Service and ambience good. Don't come back

Almost everyone at our table enjoyed the food. Portion was sufficient. A little loud due to the chatter of the others in the room but otherwise recommended.

I've eaten at Schloss Seefeldt several times and it's always been fantastic, but today when I tried the blood sausage gröstel I haven't eaten so well outside for a long time. High praise for the kitchen

Very good quality Bavarian food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The location and atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and it feels like a Bavarian place should. The portions were big but thankfully the waiter told us that we should order less for the kids, which was great. Highly recommended, and we will be going back.

Our visit to the Bräustüberl Schloss Seefeld on December 31st. was perfect all around! As soon as we entered the restaurant we immediately felt at home: the atmosphere is bright, friendly and very inviting. The Christmas decorations also created a wonderful atmosphere. The service was first class; Our waiter was super attentive, friendly and never intrusive. Just the right balance to make us feel completely comfortable. The food was simply fantastic! The Wiener Schnitzel (a mega portion!) was prepared to perfection, tender and crispy at the same time. There were also wonderful fried potatoes that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - exactly how you want them. Another highlight was the mixed salad, which was served with a sensational dressing. We would have loved to take the recipe with us, it was so delicious! What do we have to do about it? ❤️ The light beer from the tap rounded off the culinary experience perfectly and the dessert was the crowning glory - a true dream! Another plus for us was the dog-friendly atmosphere. Our dog was immediately brought a bowl of water, a really nice gesture that we really appreciated. We will definitely be back and can only warmly recommend the Bräustüberl Schloss Seefeld!

We found this completely by chance on a bike tour and were thrilled. It was very busy and so the order took a long time, but it was always friendly and nice. We didn't eat anything, the selection of drinks was very good. However, the ambience is what creates the charm here.

We were very satisfied. Wiener Schnitzel excellent (1+*) only two small points of criticism: salad dressing could be more and could use more pep (yoghurt dressing), 2 euros extra for the dab of cranberries, well a euro would have done it. But the overall package was harmonious, the service was friendly and quick. Ambience really nice. Went to the beer garden by bike in the summer. We'd love to come back again.

The rump steak was simply outstanding! The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, making every bite a delight. The interior was nicely decorated which made the ambience very pleasant. The nice waiter further enriched the experience. We will definitely come back!

We were disappointed with the price-performance ratio. The dishes were served hot and quickly, but unfortunately the taste was only average. With game or Wiener Schnitzel you pay 2 euros extra for a small bowl of cranberries. That should be included in this price. The staff was attentive, but not particularly friendly. It's a shame, we expected more.

We go there to eat more often, sometimes with music outside in the summer and inside in the winter. We like the atmosphere as well as the food. The guests are very different from hikers to normal guests. Service friendly and quick, food good to very good. Prices reasonable.

The food is great, great ambience. The food is prepared with a lot of love. The last visit was one with a lot of memories; we spent a lot of time in the restaurant with my grandmother, who passed away in 2008. It's nice to see that the restaurant has been able to survive for so long and hasn't gone under despite Corona. Thank you for a nice October 3rd.

Great Franconian. Schäuferl (many Franconian tavern cuisine could still learn something new); also nice blood sausage Gröstl; also an extensive vegetarian menu. When the room is busy, the guest room is very noisy and conversations are then only possible to a limited extent. All in all, a place for tasty, hearty Alpine cuisine. If you're looking for this, you've come to the right place - we'll be happy to come back.

After a hike from Seefeld Castle to Andechs Monastery and back again, this was the place where we replenished our energies. Were only in the beer garden. A beer, an ice cream.

Food ok but be careful. Rip-off at connected parking lots (see below)!! We were there on July 6th. with 6 people in the Bräustüberl. First of all, the food was mostly good and plentiful, individual tastes were not met but that just happens. Allergens were addressed very well! The service was overall ok. So far so good. I don't know whether the following is influenced by the Bräustüberl. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an answer to an email request: We parked at the Birkenallee car park, 2 cars and both activated the EasyPark app for the parking zone (parking receipt available). I have now received a contractual penalty of €47 from Mobility Hub Parking Service and there has been no response to the multiple sending of the parking receipt. This is a rip off and I would like to warn anyone using this parking lot at the castle, do not use an app and keep receipts. If the castle/restaurant has anything to do with it then the impudence is even greater. You won't get answers from the castle restaurant or from Mobility Hub... lousy scam.

Attention: inaccessible to disabled people. We wanted to eat here recently, but unfortunately. You can't go there by car. You have to park in a parking lot and walk up a long, long flight of stairs. This is not feasible for someone with mobility issues.

This authentic restaurant is located in the Schloßhof in Seefeld with a large garden without trees and a gravel floor. The food was excellent, especially the sauces were a dream. The menu is varied. The prices are high level. The service is quick and very friendly. There are paid parking spaces above and below the castle.

We walked 10 minutes from the campsite to the Bräustüberl. When we got there we found a very rustic atmosphere and there were still a few tables unoccupied. We were served quickly and very nicely and the starter soups came to the table after a short time. The main courses afterwards also & everything was very tasty & harmonious. There is also a regional beer from Otherwise there is enough choice so that everyone can find something to eat and drink. All in all it was a nice evening and we were very satisfied!

Nice restaurant in the courtyard of the castle.

We were at the nearby campsite and stopped here several times. So the ambience is a quaint Bavarian restaurant (okay a little big). The food and service are highly recommended, friendly special requests or (children's requests) are fulfilled as well as wine to take away. What you should definitely try are the Obatzda in a glass jar and the Schäufele, unfortunately the Andechs Monastery can't keep up with that!

Very nice restaurant with delicious Bavarian delicacies. There is also a small stage here with regular cultural events. There we saw the program At the Finns by Gankino Circus. Very worth listening to music with funny stories about Finland. The atmosphere was great, and at the end the whole hall was bobbing and dancing.

Absolute recommendation: We had made reservations at the Bräustüberl for a larger group (18 people - family with children and dog) for their birthday. When we arrived the table was already festively set with a white tablecloth. There were also children's menus and colored pencils available for the kids to color in 🩷The ambience is very cozy thanks to the lots of wood and the vaulted ceiling. There were also (clean!) children's chairs nearby and the dog was immediately served fresh water in the bowl. The menus (including the special children's menu) offer a large selection of vegetarian dishes. The children's menu offers many favorite foods for the little ones and pictures to color on the back. What we have never seen before: there is a “Stibitz plate” for the kids. This is simply an extra plate and can be eaten by the grown-ups for free. If that's not great...? Most of us had soup with various ingredients (fried potatoes or liver dumplings) as a starter: nice and strong, large portion with lots of ingredients, delicious. Afterwards we ordered various main dishes (Schäufele, Wiener Schnitzel, duck, onion roast, lamb shank, venison, vegetarian spinach cream sparrows etc. Everything was very tasty, the plates were hot. As it should be. The service was quick and despite many other guests, dogs and plenty of children not to be disturbed. Not everyone could manage desserts, but those who still had room found their desserts (apple cake, Bavarian cream, ice cream sundae) delicious. The portions are generous, we were all stuffed. All in all, we were extremely satisfied and had a great family celebration. Finally, I would like to mention that the toilets were sparkling clean. It is no longer self-evident either. In any case, we would love to come back!
