We stopped by for dinner after a day trip. Large, delicious portions. Served by friendly, quick service. At a good price. We've been there twice, both times very good 👍🏻

We stopped in spontaneously while passing through. The beer and the dark shandy were top-notch. The still water was definitely tap water, which had a metallic taste. The red-haired waitress licked her fingers every now and then to get the bills in her wallet. Afterwards, she brought our food. The clothing was also more "Pretty Woman"-like, and the very short, tight dress often had to be pulled down or pulled up at the neckline. It doesn't fit a typical Bavarian restaurant, and we found it dirty. The waiter and the second waitress, on the other hand, were quite normal and friendly. The food: We had two roast pork dishes. Good, but we didn't need it a second time. One cheese spaetzle dish. These were very good. The restrooms were clean. What looked very good were the schnitzel and steak. We can't judge the taste here. Prices are good. For 4 drinks, 3 meals, €48. We probably won't be coming back a second time. Seating in the beer garden would be comfortable, though.

I ate there today and I have to honestly say it was bottomless. I ordered half a crispy pork knuckle with dumplings. It only arrived after an hour's wait, even though it wasn't that busy and we had to point it out again. Furthermore, the entire waitress spoke broken German. He misunderstood our drink three times and simply added something that no one had ever ordered. I've been there several times and it was always fine, but today's pork knuckle was anything but crispy—more like a rubber ball, and you pay €12.50 for it. Everyone said it didn't look tasty at all, and it wasn't even cooked through inside. I hope this was a one-off. Best regards, Walter Ben

The food is very good, but of course not a Michelin-starred restaurant. However, it's reasonably priced! The currywurst is excellent, and the fries are good too. The curry sauce is too watery, though. The service was, as always, very friendly. A traditional restaurant.

The Bräustüberl was very busy today, Whit Monday. Unfortunately, this resulted in somewhat worse service than usual during my visit (longer wait times on several occasions). However, I don't think it would be appropriate to give this a negative rating – one should rather be happy to be able to visit a restaurant/inn on such days (yes, even though such days are of course important for the restaurant industry). The food was reasonably priced and delicious (pork cordon bleu with fries). The dark steam beer was also very tasty. The inn is quaintly decorated and therefore exudes old-world charm.

It's a typically rustic Bavarian brewery restaurant. The guests here are all ordinary people. The service is very good and friendly. The prices are really reasonable, and the food is of good quality. The portions are large and the food tastes simply amazing. We'll be back when we're in the area.

Terrible We left a restaurant for the first time because the waitress, who barely spoke German, was so unfriendly and rude when ordering that we canceled the order and left.

We had the venison with spaetzle, which was very tender. The Kaiserschmarn (sweet pancakes) were very good, and the "small portion" was perfectly adequate. The mushroom soup was also delicious. We were there with our dog and sat in the smaller adjoining room.

A quaint old inn with a lovely beer garden. The service was polite, and the food wasn't exactly a big hit. Roast pork for €12.50. The menu lists it with a dark sauce, but what you get is a light brown, watery sauce. The meat is 40% fat, and the dumpling is rubbery and a bit old. It shouldn't have cost more than €12.50. There are probably better options in the region.

An evening full of warmth and enjoyment in the Braeustüberl I had the great pleasure of visiting the Braäustüberl in Zwiesel - an experience that resonates in my memory. The rustic wooden furniture, the soft lighting and the lovingly decorated details create an ambience that appears traditional and modern at the same time. It's more than just a restaurant - it's a home where you are welcomed with open arms. The culinary highlights that were offered to me here impressed me just as much as the ambience. The menu features a fine selection of Bavarian classics, interpreted with a lot of creativity and passion. I chose a traditional schnitzel, accompanied by homemade dumplings and a selection of seasonal vegetables that melted in the mouth. Particularly worth mentioning is the wonderful steam beer from the neighboring brewery - freshly tapped, aromatic and refreshing, just the thing to quench your thirst and round off the taste experience. But what really made this evening unforgettable was the service. The staff welcomed me with a smile and an open ear, answered every question with enthusiasm and gave friendly recommendations about the house specialties. The personal touch with which I treat every guest at the Braäustüberl conveys genuine warmth. It is this mixture of professional service and personal warmth that makes the difference and makes the visit a completely successful experience. In summary, the Braeustüberl in Zwiesel is a place that not only pampers the palate, but also touches the soul. Every moment - from the welcome to the last sip of steam beer - is characterized by care, tradition and a palpable passion. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant for anyone who not only wants to eat excellent food, but also wants to immerse themselves in a Bavarian oasis of well-being. Excellent Bavarian restaurant. Great food, Czech service. Nothing to add.

The inside area is cozy Bavarian, the outside area is nothing special in terms of location (since it's close to the street), but it's okay. The food was really very tasty (turkey cordon bleu with croquettes, highly recommended), the service was very friendly and attentive, there wasn't a long wait. Great value for money, clear recommendation if it's not about the location/view but the food.

Toilet needs to be urgently renovated. Roast pork was great, liver spaetzle soup only had beef and vegetables in it but soup was still very good even without liver spaetzle or liver dumplings. I can still only recommend it

The food was very tasty and typically Bavarian. We recommend the steam beer, which is brewed right next door. The prices for food and beer are more than okay. Unfortunately, only cash payment is possible, so you should bring enough cash with you (the nearest bank is over 1 km away).

Worst sausage salad of my life. I missed the onions and asked the waiter about it. He said he wanted to speed up the order 😂... There was also some yellow consistency floating on it. The waiter said it came from cutting the sausage and adding vinegar and oil. I'm still sick

Visited the Pfeffer steam beer brewery on a trip to Zwiesel. Afterwards we ate a hearty roast pork in the Bräustüberl... simply delicious!! Very friendly staff, all around a pleasure!!!

The service is fast and friendly 👍. Drinks are great. The food was also great. Especially for the price-performance ratio, the Bräustüberl deserves 5 points! Unfortunately, the pork knuckle doesn't have a good crust, but that can happen. The only negative thing about the ambience that evening: a slot machine in the hallway with an unfortunately very loud guest.

After a sporty ride, we spontaneously decided on Bräustüberl. Great food, great staff, very friendly and very accommodating. Thank you for everything.

It was a very cozy inn nice and attentive staff We ate a pork knuckle, unfortunately the crust wasn't crispy, the sauce and the salad were very tasty, but the cabbage was far too sweet and unfortunately they weren't fresh dumplings either

We were so excited about the food and have already made reservations for over a week because we are not from there and live a 4 hour drive away and wanted a short vacation. We were even more disappointed! When we arrived there was nothing going on, all the seats were free and there were only a few people. I said our names and that we had a reservation. The waitress took us briefly into the restaurant, didn't look at a list or book and walked with us back to the entrance. There were three very older men sitting at the table (probably the regulars' table) and then they said we had to sit there because these were our reserved seats and everything else was reserved. That can't be the case if you made a reservation so long in advance and nothing was said about it on the phone. I suspect our table was given to another group of four or six and then they probably thought we could join the gentlemen. NO, we had our 20th anniversary and then such a cheek. I have never been treated like this before, unfriendly, arrogant and absolutely not professional. We then went to the “Altbayrische Schmankerlstube” and were not disappointed and were warmly welcomed, as a guest would wish. Was the best decision, the food was fantastic. Something like this shouldn't happen in the catering industry and is an absolute no-go. If we had come spontaneously, okay then you can think about whether you stay or join us, but to be treated like that with a reservation, you're just speechless. That's even one star too many!!! If you don't value us, then other restaurants will be happy about our visit.

Braustüberl an absolute recommendation. Price/performance ratio unbeatable. Particularly worth mentioning is the extremely courteous service. We came across this restaurant by chance at the start of our vacation in the Bavarian Forest. A bit skeptical at the beginning because of the low prices. But once we were there, any skepticism was dispelled. The food is very tasty and we can only recommend a glass of steam beer with it. But the speci is also very good. After our first visit, we decided to eat there every day of our vacation because the staff and locals always give us a very friendly welcome. We only give it the best rating because we couldn't find anything to criticize.

Very cozy inn opposite the Dampfbier brewery with typical Lower Bavarian cuisine. Excellent roast pork, very good knuckle and all sorts of good beers from the brewery opposite. The (Czech) staff is friendly, on the ball and accommodating! We stopped here several times in the evening during our hiking holiday and were never disappointed. It makes sense to reserve in advance!

We had dinner here with 13 people. The drinks and food were brought to the table very quickly. The salad dressing wasn't particularly good. The other dishes were also rather mediocre. Maybe we were just too spoiled by the restaurant that we had visited several times before. But the big deal came when we wanted to pay. The waitress thought someone would pay for everything at once. She became very rude when we said that we wanted to pay separately and slammed the bill on the table. One of our group should pay for everyone because that would be easier for them than having to account for everything separately. Or we should calculate everything separately ourselves. Then she just quickly left our table and didn't come back. We go out to eat very often, but we've never experienced anything so outrageous. We then complained to her colleague, who brought the unfriendly waitress back to our table. In the end she had no choice but to charge us separately and in some cases she collected a bit “too much”. Conclusion: Continue to vacation in the Arber region twice a year. But this restaurant once and never again.

The food was ready quickly and tasted great. The portions are huge. I ordered a soup in advance because I thought the roast wouldn't be much for the price. Then I got a huge bowl of soup and roast pork. 2 thick slices and a giant dumpling. Craziness. I can only recommend the mushroom soup and the roast pork to everyone. The only thing I would note. Please replace all the knives. They're annoying because none of them cut properly.
