Altbayrische Schmankerlstube in Zwiesel

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen und der ansprechenden Speisekarte haben wir die Altbayrische Schmankerlstube in Zwiesel besucht. Leider können wir die sehr guten Bewertungen nach unserem Besuch nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Die Vorspeisen waren insgesamt in Ordnung. Die Suppe war solide, der Salat akzeptabel. Allerdings hatten die Tomaten, Gurken und Karotten kein Dressing abbekommen, das sollte in der Küche vermengt werden und nicht vom Gast. Als Hauptgerichte hatten wir Knödel in Pilzrahmsoße sowie den Filetteller. Die Pilzrahmsoße zu den Knödeln hatte für uns einen leicht säuerlichen Geschmack, weshalb wir uns fragten, ob sie wirklich frisch zubereitet war. Beim Filetteller war das Fleisch dagegen sehr gut gebraten, schön zart und qualitativ überzeugend. Die dazu servierte Pilzrahmsoße unterschied sich von der ersten, allerdings fielen auch hier einige Pilze durch einen säuerlichen Geschmack auf. Besonders enttäuschend waren die Käsespätzle. Hier fehlte es sowohl an der Würze des Bergkäses als auch insgesamt an einer angemessenen Abstimmung der Gewürze. Dieser Eindruck zog sich leider durch fast alle Gerichte des Abends: Es wirkte, als sei beim Würzen sehr zurückhaltend vorgegangen worden, wodurch vieles recht fad schmeckte. Insgesamt war das Essen leider deutlich hinter unseren Erwartungen zurückgeblieben und für uns die bisher größte kulinarische Enttäuschung unseres Urlaubs. Schade, denn die Speisekarte hatte eigentlich viel versprochen.

Sympathische Bedienung, Lecker Essen. Alles wunderbar. Bei den Toilettenräumen könnte mal wieder hand angelegt werden.

Uriges bayrisches Lokal mit typusch bayrischem Essen. War gerne da.

Wir waren spontan abends dort, saßen im Biergarten. Es war einfach herrlich. Als Hamburgerin war ich erstaunt über die sauer gespritzte Weinschorle, aber natürlich war das fein. Das Essen war super, Preise absolut fair, herzlich Bedienung. Unbedingt ausprobieren.

Wir waren zu zweit in der altbayrischen Schmankerlstube essen. Wir hatten einen Filetteller mit Kässpätzle, Schwammersoße und Salat und einen Grillteller mit Pommes. Das Filet war sehr zart, die Käsespätzle waren sehr gut und die Schwammersoße und der Salat waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Der Grillteller war ok. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ist zu empfehlen.

An einem Sonntagabend waren wir zu viert in dem urigen Gasthaus. Bayrische hausgemachte Speisen findet man dort auf der Speisekarte zu fairen Preisen. Geschmeckt hat es uns bis auf den Semmelknödel mit Schwammerl gut. Saftiges Fleisch, gut gewürzt und gute Portionen. Auch der Service von den Inhabern war sehr herzlich. Danke.

Super leckeres und hochwertiges Essen, so wie Getränke zu einem super Preis. Zudem sehr hundefreundlich was uns als Hundebesitzer sehr gefreut hat. Wir kommen wieder.

Waren lange auf der Suche nach am Wirtshaus mit was gescheitem zum Essen, bei mir ist das leider schwierig da ich eine Fischallergie habe. Sind von unserem Urlaub in Bodenmais extra nach Zwiesel in die altbayerische Schmankerlstube gefahren. Super gschmackigs Essen, Salat knackig frisch und die Wirtsleut richtig nett. Wer Lust hat moi an Wolperdinger zum seng, dann rein und was essen. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend und kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren gerade beim Essen mit Frau,Tochter und Enkel. Also eine Bombe der Schweinebraten ist ein Hammer. Nur zu empfehlen, komme bestimmt wieder und nicht nur einmal. Top 👍 danke 😃

Ist weiter zu empfehlen, das Essen schmeckt gut, Preis Leistung passt, die Bedienung ist freundlich und schnell einfach perfekt. Ist nur schwierig zu finden, weil es versteckt ist, man sieht als erstes das Namensschild hängend am Haus, aber man muß durch die Sparkassepassage laufen, weil da hinten ist der Restauranteingang.

Schönes Lokal. Super Essen. Tolle Bedienung. Preis/Leistung ist super. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Liegt allerdings etwas versteckt.

Wir sind aufgrund von guter Google Bewertung hier essen gegangen . Wir hatten 2 mal den Schweinebraten mit Knödel (frage mich immer noch ob es Kartoffel oder Semmelknödel waren) Das Essen sah super aus ! Das Fleisch war Mega zart und die Soße auch super - die Knödel waren zerkocht - aber das schlimmste war ich entdeckte ein Haar im Essen - kein Menschenhaar!! Der liebe Besitzer wollte mir erzählen das es schon mal vorkommen kann, dass ein SCHWEINEHAAR im Fleisch sein kann- die Tonart von dem guten Herrn war auch ziemlich daneben ! Wir haben nicht weiter gegessen - und das lustige ist - das Essen sollte normal abkassiert werden! Erst nach dem wir gesagt haben, dass sie ein Essen stornieren müssen wurde gleich beide Gerichte storniert.

Was soll ich sagen: Lecker! Preislich völlig okay und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Auch mein Hund wurde freundlich mit Wasser und Leckerlie empfangen - alles in allem: sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war gut, Bedienung freundlich und sie Preise angemessen. Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass hier lediglich Barzahlung möglich ist.

It was Monday, October 20th, around 6 p.m., and Google said the restaurant was open, but it was closed for no apparent reason. So we went to a restaurant.

Hello, It would be nice if the correct opening hours were posted on the website so that you don't find the doors closed on Thursday afternoon!

Nice terrace with attentive staff. The service was good, and the restaurant, like the terrace, was very busy. We enjoyed the food very much, and the value for money was good. The only annoying thing was the smokers on the terrace during our meal. We'd happily recommend the restaurant and will definitely visit again.

The food arrived very quickly and tasted okay, although not quite as good as described in the reviews. We found it irritating that the wait staff were smoking outside while the restaurant was serving guests.

Unfortunately, the spaetzle weren't that great, but the rest was okay!

We ended up here because of the voucher book. The dishes were all delicious, the meat of excellent quality. The onion roast beef is highly recommended. The mushroom sauce wasn't so tasty; it could have been improved. The prices are in line with current standards and are justified by the quality of the food. The service was a bit brusque at first after we presented the voucher book, but this calmed down over time. The waitress could have asked for drinks more often; we would have liked to order something during our meal, but ultimately, we just took the bill. The ambiance on the elevated terrace is very nice with a view of the greenery. Other seating might have been helpful; my chair was very wobbly. Inside, the decor is very rustic, like a real Bavarian Stubn. The women's restrooms (cowshed) are definitely worth a look. All in all, this is the best Bavarian restaurant I've visited in Zwiesel so far. I would come back and definitely recommend it.

Highly recommended! If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth a meal. We were there last Sunday evening. The dishes are simply delicious and filling enough to fill you up even if you're really hungry. It's beautifully decorated, and there's something to discover in every corner. The wait was relatively short despite the crowd. We wanted to take a photo, but unfortunately forgot, and then the delicious meals were quickly devoured. The service was also consistently friendly.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious, and the giant cream puff truly lives up to its name; I almost couldn't finish it. We will definitely eat there again during our vacation.

We were totally pleasantly surprised! We actually just wanted a quick drink, but then, because the prices were very fair, we decided to have something to eat as well! Everything was really good, and we went home very satisfied!

Nice little pub with a beer garden. We stumbled upon this place by chance and were not disappointed. The menu had something for everyone, and everyone (a vegetarian adult and two children) was satisfied. The service was very nice and friendly. I especially liked the reusable straws. This demonstrates a commitment to sustainability.

Closing time at 10 p.m., we are turned away at 9 p.m., closed because of wealth, fear of strangers?

We were here for a short break with our dog. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still greeted warmly. The restaurant looks very clean and lovingly decorated. Excellent service! As soon as we took our drink order, our dog was given a bowl of water without being asked. Wow! That's a rare experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was amazing. We highly recommend it 🥰

A great, rustic pub, excellent beer, reasonable prices, and a great beer garden with a terrace. Very clean, lovingly decorated. Just as it should be.

I really liked the seating on the terrace facing the park, which is quiet and offers a view of the nearby nature. The schnitzel was super tasty, crispy, and a generous portion to fill you up. The beer was perfectly sparkling and tasted fantastic. The service was friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Very good 👍

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy it that much and some of the side dishes that were on the menu were forgotten.

Not recommended. The soup we ordered didn't arrive, but the main course came straight away. After complaining, they just shrugged their shoulders and said it had been forgotten. The side salads also only arrived after complaining, with the flippant explanation that they could have said something earlier. The taste of the food also leaves a lot to be desired. The mushroom sauce is unfortunately not good at all, the steak on the grill had gristle, and the baked potato had black eyes. At the end, we were given a free shot of schnapps, as they had apparently already noticed that something had gone terribly wrong. It's a shame, because the location and the decor of the restaurant are very nice. We're not usually fussy, but unfortunately this wasn't enough.

A rustic Bavarian restaurant where Bavarian cosiness and Bavarian food are still alive!

Warmed Kaiserschmarrn (presumably with baking powder) with whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream. This has nothing to do with delicacies, but rather with tourism... Never ever again.

We were here for the first time, we received a very warm welcome! Service + quality of food very good 👍 Delicious steam beer from the local brewery. Price/performance very good. The atmosphere in the pub was very good. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along with the wonderful beer garden. So we'll be back soon.

Very nice atmosphere, service friendly and quick. The food, well I couldn't discover what that has to do with delicacies. Roulade dry, inappropriate sauce bistro quality. The ziegeu nerschnitzel was rather tough, the sauce was very thin and had little taste. The hammer for 0.25 mediocre red wine 8.90. At such prices you also expect quality that is rather in the lower half

We discovered this rustic little room while driving through with the motorhome. Very tasty food, rustic atmosphere, good local steam beer, friendly service. We recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is very popular with locals, which of course speaks for itself.

We only stumbled across the restaurant out of necessity (the food at the hotel wasn't that great). The waitresses were very friendly, we didn't have to wait long to order, drinks and food came quickly. The food came hot to the table and what can I say, it was fantastic, actually the restaurant deserved the 4 stars and not the hotel we had booked. The waitresses also came by every now and then and asked if we had anything else we wanted. Absolutely recommended. At this point I would like to say a big thank you to the fantastic cook. We'll be back.

It was our first visit here. We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was great. The food was very tasty and the waiting time was short. We will visit the restaurant again and try the highly praised horse steak. Thank you for the lovely stay.

It was an absolutely beautiful evening and the food was fantastic. Very highly recommended. The waitress was very personable, warm and took time for us and had a nice chat with us. Very good Bavarian cuisine at a reasonable price! For us one of the best restaurants in Zwiesel!!!

This small cozy restaurant is a bit hidden, but definitely worth it. The food is tasty and not overpriced, we ate cabbage rolls for €8.90 on the recommendation of the house.

Discovered by chance, received a friendly welcome and had a delicious meal. That would actually say everything, but....... That doesn't do it justice, because the economy is really decorated with a lot of love (if you don't pay attention to some of the plants) The food was lovingly prepared and served. Small but mighty. Lovingly furnished and not overloaded despite all the decoration. The Wolperdinger are a real eye-catcher😀 Food is delicious. Portions decent and price/performance okay. Diverse selection given. The service speaks Bavarian, which is far too rare these days. Update 11/2024 Even after years, it's always delicious and nice to eat here.
