Great place, real German cuisine.....super

Yesterday I visited this restaurant and was very surprised. Everything was perfect. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch! The home-brewed beer rounded off the whole experience, and I can say: this beer is unique. It's a really lovely place.

We had originally planned to eat at the golf course restaurant after our round, but it was closed without warning. So we went here instead and weren't disappointed. A charming atmosphere, delicious food, and the house-brewed beer is fantastic. Highly recommended.

All-around good concept. Good food and solid quality.

Typical brewery cuisine, many dishes with pork or bacon. Some dishes also include vegetarian options, fish, and pasta. The spacious dining area didn't seem particularly cozy to me. The salad plate was ice cold, so some of the salad must have been fresh from the refrigerator. The yogurt or cream dressing for the simple leaf salad was no culinary revelation.

We spontaneously visited the "Brauhaus Stephanus" (because the kitchen is open 24/7) as guests, and our first impressions were: 1.) very friendly and 2.) very professional service. The food was excellent, as were the desserts and drinks. My personal interest in the copper bar, copper pipes, etc., which, for me, are part of a classic brewery, met with personal approval. I come from a city (Wuppertal) where private brewing once had a very strong tradition. All in all, the visit was a reminder of bygone times and, at the same time, a culinary delight in an excellent ambiance. Highly recommended hotel and guesthouse in Coesfeld. Perhaps we'll try the hotel industry on our next visit to Coesfeld.

A traditional brewery with several popular vegetarian and vegan options. A wide selection of homemade beers.

Everything looked very clean and the food was delicious, but I often find some drawbacks. Smokers in front of the entrance are never a pleasant place to come in if you're not a smoker. And I don't think bringing a dog to a restaurant is very hygienic, but it's allowed here.

The Brauhaus Curry (vegan) is highly recommended!

The food was excellent, as you'd expect at a brewery. The spare ribs were truly delicious! And the beers, too, of course. Plus, the very friendly service and the opportunity to stay overnight there with our RV through Landvergnügen. It was a wonderful stay, thank you very much!

I give it 10 out of 10. The food, beer, staff, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and all at a great price/performance ratio. You don't come across this very often anymore... I'll definitely be back.

Exzellentes Bier (Weizen sehr zu empfehlen) und dann ist die Küche auch noch ziemlich gut. Gepaart mit einem hervorragendem Servicepersonal bleiben kaum noch Wünsche offen. Da nimmt man gerne ein wenig Wartezeit in Kauf. Besser kann man das nicht machen! Gratulation!

We don't recommend buying the bottles offered there. Unfortunately, you'll be stuck with them for life. They don't take them back. Others won't take them back either. So, no deposit system! These bottles are affected: Mason Bottle 1.0 l Anniversary Bottle 2.0 l Friendship Bottle 3.0 l

Excellent. I was particularly impressed by the waiter last time. The service is definitely better than I expected. Plus, the homemade beer, which has always been delicious, and the delicious food. Definitely worth a visit.

The brewery is definitely recommended. The interior is truly rustic and very beautiful. The outside, with its lovely beer garden, is also impressive. It's very large and, unfortunately, very loud. But that's okay. The food was delicious; I just wish they'd asked me how I'd like my steak. The service was very friendly. Highly recommended

Very good food and very friendly staff. The prices are reasonable for the quality. We highly recommend it. We were there on a Monday, and there were spare ribs galore. Absolutely delicious. The country beer with rhubarb juice is also delicious. 😋

We've been coming here the last few times, and we have a tradition at the regulars' table of bringing a Stein Stephanus beer to the birthday child. So, it's a great place.

Simply amazing. We were there last Friday and Saturday, and it was fantastic. The food was really good, the beer was delicious, the service was very friendly, and the whole atmosphere was simply amazing. The kids also had a lot of fun painting and playing on the playground. We had to take a little souvenir back to Aachen. We will definitely come back. It's worth the two-hour drive for us. It's a shame there are hardly any places like this anymore.

We happened upon this place by chance on a bike ride. It was totally worth it. Great location, friendly staff, and delicious food (the malt schnitzel is highly recommended). The beer was nicely chilled and just what we needed after a bike ride; it was very drinkable. All in all, a highly recommended stop.

A few weeks ago I was spontaneously invited to dinner during the week. Unfortunately, our original destination was no longer available, so we drove here spontaneously. Definitely a good decision! The food from the daily menu was really delicious. The pork fillet was cooked to perfection, and the asparagus was also excellent. The staff were super relaxed; they could have perhaps come to the table a bit more often, but the restaurant was full. In the end I bought a six-pack of beer - the home-brewed beer is the game changer here! I also liked that some of the juice in the drinks is from Haus Hall, which is a pleasure to support. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit.

A really good brewery with really good beer. The food is also delicious and plentiful. If you don't get full here, you should get checked out. The service is friendly and almost "Kölsch" ;-)

I'm a chef myself. I'm from Münsterland. I think the prices are too high for a small town and Münsterland.

We were there yesterday in beautiful weather and sat outside; most of the seats are covered. Depending on the number of guests, additional outdoor areas are opened up. The seating is nice and rustic. The food is typically Westphalian, everyone enjoyed it, generous portions, and fair prices. The service here is fast and seamless: taking your drink order, serving the food, and delivering it. What's particularly noteworthy, and we even mentioned this to the waitress, is the extremely friendly and service-oriented service. The individual beer varieties were explained to us beforehand, and even special requests for the food were no problem at all, and everything went smoothly. You feel completely at home here and valued as a guest (and not a burden).

Wow, Captain! Something was going on last night. The outdoor area of ​​the Stephanus Brewery was packed, and it was loud, really loud. That's what it should be like on a Saturday night at prime time, with the best weather, which was to be expected. Nevertheless, the four of us found a free table, received friendly and attentive service, and didn't go hungry or thirsty. There are actually points deducted for the food. We ordered two spare ribs, a shoulder of pork, and a tarte flambée. My tarte flambée was undersized, meaning it was really small. The side salad I ordered corresponded to this portion size and consisted of a small amount of green salad with a little dressing. The portion of spare ribs, on the other hand, was a bit more generous, and the accompanying dip tasted strongly of a very well-known curry ketchup from a bottle, which had been slightly reworked. The shoulder of pork came with fried potatoes, and this plate looked very rustic and wholesome. Overall, I rate the kitchen and service staff's performance as masterful. Saturday evening, a packed place, and then delivering hundreds of dishes in a short space of time – that's quite an art; someone should try to emulate that! Not everything can run 100% smoothly. To make up for it, there was even a dessert on the house at the end. And I have to say, given the number of guests and the constantly changing crowd, the staff's response was highly professional. Good food, good friendly service. Good value for money

I've been there several times. Everything is always delicious, especially the Stephanus Bräu. But now I'm already looking forward to April 11, 2025. That will be my first overnight stay there. Addendum: The overnight stay was really great! The room was beautifully furnished and very clean. Above all, it was very quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I will definitely book a room here again.

The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The food is always excellent and we always take the beer refills in the bottles with us so we can enjoy the delicious beer at home.

Brauhaus Stephanus, in Coesfeld Lovers of Westphalian cuisine should definitely stop by here and, like me, will be thrilled. I was looking for a restaurant with good Westphalian cuisine for a tour group of 20 people. A friend recommended the Brauhaus Stephanus to me. And I am very grateful for this tip. The brewery is centrally located and easy to reach by car; there is a very large parking lot right in front of it. We also catered for guests who come by bike. The furnishings are Westphalian rustic and look very cozy. Large brass kettles whet your thirst for the beer brewed there, which is available in many different varieties. There is also really delicious Westphalian food. All of the guests in my travel group were extremely satisfied and would love to come back. The service staff was really nice and the food and drinks were served quickly. Thank you very much for that! Summary - plenty of parking spaces right in front of the restaurant - also perfect for bicycle tourists - barrier-free entrance - Toilet also accessible for wheelchair users - very cozy, rustic furnishings - fair prices, large portions - very good and tasty food - super friendly service - EC payment is possible - Reservation via the Internet is possible and also makes sense - Highly recommended for large travel groups - there is delicious home-brewed beer here

The food was very good, and we didn't have to wait long. The staff were all very friendly and gave us good information about the special beers they serve. During our visit, we sat outside, which was unfortunately quite noisy at times, as there were a few people sitting there who had obviously already had quite a bit to drink. Furthermore, it was unfortunately annoying that there were always a certain number of smokers standing there, and the smoke drifted over when the wind was unfavorable.

Yesterday we were in the brewery with 6 men. Drinks were ordered and food was taken. My food should also come with the others' food. Of course it came with the appetizer! The other food came sometimes and one meal was forgotten. After a long inquiry, whether the food still comes, it was forgotten! The waitress apologized and brought the food and the wrong dessert was there too. All 4 other dishes were so poorly topped. A few fries and a few fried potatoes on top of a steak dish that costs €33, that's not nice. So we ordered fries and fried potatoes again. Majo only came when asked, we weren't even asked if we wanted anything with us. There's also no need to check in between whether everything is OK or whether something is missing. Nothing! So I'm not coming back.

The food is really very good. Perfectly prepared and enough to fill you up. Unfortunately, it takes a little longer for a waiter to come and serve the next drinks, and if you want to chat, you've come to the wrong place anyway. The volume is so high that it is virtually impossible to have a conversation.

Nun ja, das Bier ist immer noch das Beste. Aber bei unserem heutigen Besuch waren wir doch sehr enttäuscht. Bestellung: Tomatensuppe, dann Camembert und das Brauerkotelett mit Dicken Bohnen und Ofenkartoffel. Leider kamen die Suppe und der Camembert für meine Frau zur gleichen Zeit auf den Tisch. Wobei der Camembert als Hauptgericht gedacht war. Nun musste ich noch auf meinen Hauptgang warten.... Nun zum Geschmack: Die Suppe =lecker. Der Camembert schmeckte nach Pappkarton und war weder kross noch knusprig. Mein Kotelett kam leider erst als meine Begleitung Ihren Gang schon fast zu Ende gegessen hatte. Auch von der Qualität meines Ganges war ich nicht überzeugt. Die Schwarte war nicht kross und am Knochen war das Fleisch leider noch nicht durch. Wir haben der Bedingung unsere Kritik geschildert. Ok, ich sage in der Küche Bescheid. Wir haben gezahlt und sind gegangen. Den nächsten Besuch überdenken wir bestimmt noch einmal. Leider.
