Service, food, staff, everything was top. Traditional Swabian cuisine with great taste. Gladly again.

Overwhelmed service, 30 minutes waiting time until you get a menu, 45 minutes until you can pay (despite asking 3 times). Food of convenience quality, comes to the table cold, salad brown, cheese pätzle tastelessly overcooked. 2 stars for the prices, which are fair for Stuttgart, and the cozy atmosphere inside and outside.

Watch out — if you break a glass, they'll charge you €5.50. Honestly, it's a disgrace

I visited for a beer at 16:59 on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Because it was a weekday afternoon, the inside was empty (there were about 10 customers?) and we had to wait a long time until the receptionist came. I must have waited for about 10 minutes... A female employee who had lip filler came and said that the place was full, and that everyone was booked, but there were no seats. The inside of the restaurant was empty, and in disbelief, I asked what time the reservation was made, and he couldn't answer. After that, two Germans came, and they let them in. I thought they were discriminating against me because I was Asian. I don't think they should sell restaurants like this no matter how delicious they are.

It is located in the Stuttgart city centre. The atmosphere is excellent. Very good outdoor dining.

We found ourselves on an evening where there was tension between the servers, so the atmosphere and the service were deplorable. Only one server working and the others not efficient. Yet it was far from complete.

The food was good, the ambience was okay (it smelled of urine in the passage outside) and the service was subpar. The waiter who served us was nice (when he came), but the others were terribly unfriendly: one just ran away and ignored me, the other just said: "No, if they change the table I can't do anything anymore, that's not my area." The chef also came to bring the kids food and he was also very friendly.

Nice brewery and the service was very friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the food was below the frozen standard. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to it. Maybe it was the cheaper lunch menu? I had a tarte flambée here about a year ago and it was delicious.

A very tasty meal and the operator Dennis was very friendly and accommodating and even joined in the fun. I would highly recommend going out for something to eat there.

We decided to eat and drink something, and because knowing the address is important to us and it fits like a glove! Very large selection of beer and the same with food. The terrace was full but after less than 10 minutes we got our table and everything else went very well. The whole team is very good and very friendly, everyone helps wherever they can and is constantly on the move. Well off! Prices are reasonable and everything ordered is very well prepared and tastes very good. Clean and well-kept inside, lots of tables and everything in very good condition. Toilet also clean and tidy although a lot of customers leave and others come.

Nice ambience, good quick service, delicious food, Stuttgart prices.😄 Too loud for my taste, but that's purely subjective. Given the size and number of people, it's like a beer tent. Absolutely intentional in a brewery. 💯

The Brauhaus Schönbuch is consistently solid. When the weather is nice you can sit outside a little more hidden from the city center traffic. Unfortunately the schnitzel was rather dry, but the cheese spaetzle was really tasty!

Great location, big place so lots of room. Beer is sensational. Food is utterly delicious. Staff are hilarious - even my broken German was welcome. Will come again next time I’m in Germany.

The food was okay but the service was really disappointing. The waitress was in a bad mood the whole time, almost throwing everything - literally everything - on the table and speaking in a loud, rude tone. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite unpleasant. It's a shame, because with friendlier service the visit could have been much better. Unfortunately we wouldn't come back.

The Schönbuch beer is super tasty. Food was okay. It's tasty, but nothing special. The worst thing is the volume. Big hall and way too crowded. We had to talk really loudly.

We waited 35 minutes with 11 people and no waiter came so we could at least order drinks. When we complained and wanted to order something, we were put off straight away and insulted... After 50 minutes - still without anyone coming to take our drinks - we went and went to Peter Pane (I can only recommend it).

Service was horrible. Ordered a Rostbraten medium and got it well done. Showed the waiter a picture of google, what medium looks like and he told me that google is wrong and his kitchen knows best what medium is. He started to argue with me so loud that all the tables around me started to look at me awkwardly.

We went to the restaurant for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it. Food was served carelessly on plates. My turkey cordon bleu was cold, even the cheese in the middle was still whole, the cream sauce that was on the menu was actually tomato paste. My wife's fish was very small for the price. Unfortunately, the potatoes that came with it weren't of a particularly high quality, but there was a lot of tartar sauce slapped onto the plate. Conclusion: We won't go there anymore!!!

Cibo buono, birra veramente ottima , peccato la scortesia del personale. Parlano tutti pochissimo inglese, passati anche di sabato sera verso le 22, ci han mandati via perché avevano chiuso il servizio. È un peccato avere dei prodotti ottimi ma perdersi in scortesia.

Here you can drink really delicious beer and eat very good home-style food. The portions are intended for large appetites. The service is quick. There's a lot going on here at lunchtime, so you may have to wait a few minutes at the entrance.

Delicious beer from Böblingen. There is still room for improvement when eating, often fluctuating. Fries not good. Roast pork was very good when it was done, but it was already lukewarm and couldn't be cut or chewed. Food quality has recently deteriorated again.

We visited the restaurant around 9pm on a Friday evening and it was very busy. The staff was friendly and we had a good time as always.

Anscheinend immer gut besucht und bei ausländischen Gästen beliebt. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr nüchtern, die Sitze hart, aber die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und lustig. Das Essen ist ordentlich - das was man in einer größeren Brauereigaststätte erwarten kann. Das Bier ist toll.

Attended the schonbuch brewery today for brunch. An "all" inclusive brunch experience, covering most of everything except WATER. Beer....coffee....all the food you can think of....but a simple glass of water was not covered Apparently, according to staff, they need to charge for water to make money Yep

The food came super quickly. Portions are generous. Taste was great. Tom our waiter was very friendly and we felt comfortable. We'll be back. A minus is the volume when it is full.

First time visiting Stuttgart and we stopped at this restaurant and the food was amazing. The atmosphere is pleasant. The Chocolate Volcano was spectacular.

Everything was great. It's fun to eat something like that. The knuckle is big enough so you don't need anything in advance. Maybe the delicious Kaiserschmarrn as dessert 😋. The farmer's bread that was sent with it was an absolute blast. Oh and of course the beer was delicious too.

Despite the crowds, we got a table and were served very friendly. The roast pork was a bit dry, the rest was very tasty. They are very large portions.

Very nice, modern brewery near Schlossplatz. The Greek tarte flambée was also really tasty… highly recommended, but unfortunately a bit cold. The woman from the service staff was also very friendly and had a nice, pleasant Swabian accent.

This place was a gem on our stay in Stuttgart and our waiter Sami was an absolute legend - super friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome coming from Australia. This type of attitude made us love Stuttgart and this place will be a great standing memory. The classic Swabian dishes are outstanding and I had a burger on one night which was extremely nice too. We tried the schnitzel, pork leg and white Bavarian sausages, all of which were very high quality. Portions are large make sure you come here hungry. For beers- both the house-tap Hefeweizen and Lager are excellent quality brews and make anything I have had in Australia seem like garbage - I would highly recommend giving both a go. Danke schön to Sami and the team!!!!

A group and I arrived at the brewery to drink some beer. When we wanted to go to the toilet, there was a table set up in front of the toilet and a lady was sitting there with a plate on a table where you should have put money before going to the toilet. That was outrageous and so you indirectly asked to give the cleaning lady money. No problem at all in a public toilet, but in a restaurant it's impossible. What kind of behavior is that? The restaurant should simply pay the lady better and give the cleaning lady more money out of her own pocket and not demand anything like that from her customers, who are already shelling out a lot of money for the beer there. When the manager came to explain why the lady was standing there, he just said that the toilets were busier on Fridays and Saturdays and therefore she had to work more. Then the same question comes up again: Why doesn't the manager just pay his cleaning lady more? After all, she does the most disgusting job of all in this brewery. This behavior is simply anti-social. Asocial towards the customers, who feels bad about not paying the lady anything and, in addition to almost 5€ for a beer, also feels obliged to pay the cleaning lady and antisocial towards the cleaning lady who spends her Saturday evening because of a maximum of 30 euros, sitting in front of the toilet. An absolute no-go!!!!

The decor is cozy, with lots of wood and rustic charm, creating a traditional ambience. Positive: ✅ The beers are fresh and well tapped - a solid selection for beer lovers. ✅ The staff is friendly and helpful, even if it sometimes takes a while when the house is full. ✅ The portions are generous and the food is down-to-earth. Negatives: ❌ The volume can be very high when the house is full, making conversations difficult. ❌ Price-performance ratio is not always optimal - some dishes are rather average, but not exactly cheap. ❌ The waiting times for food are sometimes quite long, especially on weekends. Conclusion: A solid brewery for beer and Swabian fans, but with small weaknesses in service and acoustics. Ideal for a sociable evening if you have some time, but not the best choice for a quiet restaurant visit.

Nosotros (2 adultos, 2 niños) tratamos de entrar por bebidas y un aperitivo. Después de esperar varios minutos y hablar inglés al camarero, nos recibieron rápidamente y nos despidieron sin reserva. Entendiendo un poco de alemán, el grupo detrás de nosotros fue admitido en una de las varias mesas vacías sin reserva.

It was so bad, the servers were rude and when you want to go to the toilet you have to pay. In a bar! I have never seen that, and when we asked about that they brought out security personel?! The beer is fine, but would not recomand!

I think the location and the ambience are really very nice and are very reminiscent of a brewery. The service was also great and the food was beautifully presented. Unfortunately, I didn't think it tasted as good as it looked, but overall it's actually a pretty good place to meet up with a larger group to drink beer and eat something.

Food and service really okay. The only thing that doesn't work is if the lady's toilet stinks. There are good cleaners and toilet hangers available these days. Maybe it will work with a good toilet the next time we come.

It's been a while since we've been there again. Unfortunately nothing has gotten better. I had bratwurst with sauerkraut, gravy and farmhouse bread. The sausages were neutral, not bad but nothing special either. The herb, on the other hand, was so sour that it was borderline edible for me. However, an attempt was made to tone down the acid in the cabbage a bit by carelessly pouring the gravy over the cabbage. It didn't help, it didn't taste any better, but it did look like cabbage with chocolate sauce. The farmer's bread wasn't what you imagine farmer's bread to be. My wife had a burger with pulled pork, which tasted okay, but the meat wasn't even lukewarm. The waiter was initially quite friendly, but after I voiced my criticisms, the mood cooled down. If I'm asked if it tasted good, I'll give my honest opinion. We'll take a break for now, maybe again later, because that was nothing!

A tremendous disappointment, really. We had a reservation and we asked for someone to help us in English and although there were people who knew, they gave us a girl who just made our eyes pop out. On top of that, we asked for knuckle and they told us what that is... there were 15 tables with knuckles... It's better that the Spanish don't come here, honestly, for the first and last time.

Stopped in spontaneously for a late lunch during the week. There is a great selection of beer from our own production and a lunch menu during the week until 4 p.m. Everything is good and solid, even if the price is on the higher end in my opinion.

Sehr modernes und doch typisches Brauhaus mitten in der Stadt und nicht unweit vom Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart ist dies zu finden. Witzige Bedienung empfängt uns ab der ersten Minute. Das leckere Essen wird in grossen Portionen serviert. Diese Lokalität ist sehr zu empfehlen. Reservation ist Pflicht.

Average food, very touristy, waiter knew we were Americans and asked for a tip, really out of the norm here in Germany.

There were eight of us at brunch today and unfortunately we weren't impressed. The service was attentive and friendly, unfortunately we weren't asked what we would like to drink at all. We were only able to order something when we asked. After the two bottles of water, no one came to ask, which was a real shame. The beer you poured yourself was good, as far as the food is concerned it's always a matter of taste, but the meat and fish died a second time today in the warming container. The side dishes were twice as good, but of course when the whole lunch is there at 11, nothing will be fresh after an hour. Even though the price is relatively cheap, it was unfortunately the first and last time for us to come for brunch.

Used to be good, now just ok. The food is okay so far, but not unique. When it's full you sometimes wait forever. The worst thing is that the Swabian citizen was abolished. That used to always be the argument for the restaurant. Today's card is completely interchangeable. At least the beer is still good :)

kein klassisches brauhaus, eher eine großflächige, unpersönliche und extrem laute massenverköstigung in wartesaalambiente! küche: geht so (erwähnenswert allerdings: besonders große portionen; weniger wäre aber vielleicht mehr!?). bierauswahl für ein brauhaus: eher minimalistisch!
