Brauhaus Ernst August in Hannover

Pro: beer and food was quite tasty Con: food took almost an hour to arrive. My table was not an exception, unfortunately. The guys at the next table walked out after not getting their food forever.

Wie immer ein Schmaus gewesen. Leider waren Haxe und Co bereits um 19:00 Uhr aus gewesen, schade. Mit anschließender Live Musik den Abend abgerundet, was ein Fest. Immer wieder gerne! Für immer Nicole. Dessert richtiger Schmacko-Fatz. Es war mir ein inneres Blumenpflücken. Für immer und ewig Nicole. Essen war frisch, es ist frisch. Schmeckts frisch?

Wir haben unser Hochzeitstag in Hannover verbracht und haben spontan am Samstagabend eine Wirtschaft in der Innenstadt gesucht. Gelandet sind wir im Brauhaus Ernst August. Die Wirtschaft war sehr gut besucht und man bekommt am besten mit Reservierung ein Platz an einen der Tische. Wir hatten Glück und es war was frei. Die Bedienung waren sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns Haxe mit Knödel bestellt. War echt lekka. Auch der Nachtisch war super. Meine Frau hatte Eis von eine ortsansässigen Eishersteller. Ich möchte Danke sagen für den schönen Abend und wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Das Bier süffig und sehr lecker. Essen sollte man vorher woanders. Das Cordon Bleu war klein, trocken, ein paar Pommes dazu, ohne Salatbeilage für 25,50 € eine Katastrophe und einfach unverschämt. Nette und freundliche Bedienung.

A nice brewery in the center of Hanover. The service and food were very good. The home-brewed beer was ok, but not a highlight in terms of taste. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't fit at all. The prices are far too high for the food and drink presented and do not encourage a return visit, sorry.

Very solid food. Sauce was fine. Meat was tender and crispy. Dumplings were also great. The herb anyway. Only the beer price was a bit too high for my taste. Quiet and cozy.

Only three stars for me because I just found it way too expensive. I got a glass of Pinot Gris and potatoes with vegetables. (Approx. 25€) The food was really mediocre and definitely not worth 16 euros. But we sat nicely, were served friendly and got food quite late. Overall it was a nice evening. Great that there was a vegan option, just the execution could be better for the prices.

Foreigners be wear. We had dinner in the restaurant section which was great. We then moved into the "club" section. We ordered ONE round of drinks. The waiter got all the orders wrong and then charged us almost double what the cost should have been! 5 drinks cost 78 Euros (2 people didn't order), which included 1 beer. The waiter argued with us, claimed he was correct, and the management did nothing. We then left and went to a nearby by pub. The entire bill at that pub for 7 people, and a huge amount of drinks of atleast 6 rounds, plus shooters, was 235 Euros. Thankfully we checked after 1 round. So be aware they will try rip you off, if you are a foreigner.

Cozy restaurant, nice atmosphere

Beer is really tasty and definitely worth 6 stars. The food was good average. Unfortunately the operation was a total failure. I was the last in a group of 10 to pay, most of the other guests had already left earlier. When billing, drinks that I didn't drink appeared on my bill. My - initially subtle - reference to the incorrect invoice was ignored. In the end I was threatened with a report... This behavior doesn't work at all. And before you harass or try to coerce guests, you should find out about the legal situation.

The service is underground. 10 people want to eat and drink and are not served outside. When you asked if you could order food, you were rudely turned away on the grounds that it was too cold outside.

Went there with 9 people and no service outside. When we asked if we could order food, no there wasn't, we couldn't order a pot... there wasn't one for outside either. Unfriendly staff...

The only thing missing is a changing area for babies

In general, I think that the Brauhaus Ernst August is a good place to have a beer and have a nice time, they have a food menu with a multitude of options, in my case the pulled pork burger was pretty good. There is also live music which really livens up the atmosphere.

Food, at least for me, excellent, although nothing special. Cocktail and other drinks great. Typical brewery feeling. Despite the consistently high number of guests, the toilets were absolutely clean. Price-performance ratio was absolutely ok. We will appear as a group again. Kind regards to the receptionist😘

We often go to the brewery. The 10L barrel is really recommended and really tasty. Unfortunately, the barrel is filled by the employees based on their feeling and at one point it wasn't completely full. The employees didn't want to admit their mistake. Really sad because the brewery is otherwise a good restaurant/bar.

Attention, only Sky conference is shown here. We were there today for the Niedersachsensenderby and they only show the conference and not Hannover 96. We totally fell for it. Sorry, but an absolute no-go for an institution and a sponsor of Hannover 96. They'll never see me here again. If we had known that beforehand, OK, but when we made the reservation it said there was Hannover 96. Very bad.

We went there for dinner with friends. The reservation worked. The service was nice and quick. The food tasted good to everyone and was plentiful. There is a star deduction for the sometimes dusty atmosphere.

I was recently at the Brauhaus Ernst in Hanover and was looking forward to a lovely evening. Unfortunately, however, I had a very disturbing experience. As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt uncomfortable because of how I was treated by some of the employees. The dismissive attitude and inappropriate comments made me feel unwelcome. As a guest, I expect everyone to be treated with respect, regardless of their background. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for me. Restaurants should be welcoming and provide a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. I hope that Brauhaus Ernst takes this issue seriously and takes measures to prevent others from having similar experiences. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone who values ​​respectful and inclusive treatment.

We just visited the brewery. The food wasn't a highlight but ok. The restaurant seemed very touristy and not very authentic to us. The service was bottomless. You get drinks that you didn't order. We were treated condescendingly and without emotion. When you leave the restaurant you don't even say goodbye. Our service employee was an absolute disaster. We will never enter this restaurant again.

Excellent food but terrible service from the tall male waiter with glasses: I asked for a bill he said one moment. five minutes later my bill was still not coming so I stopped him again , he didn’t ask me cash or card, I said card, he hasn’t told me for card I have to go inside to pay. We had a large Swedish group for dinner in connection to IAA Transportation. The food and atmosphere at Brauhaus EA is perfect for relaxed corporate events. A great mix of traditional and modern. The service was excellent and food came quickly.

Great brewery in the middle of the city, adjacent to the old town. Food with a Bavarian touch but also regional food such as Mettenden and meat from the region. Highly recommended for food, they also have vegetarian dishes, so everyone will find something here. Drinks typically very beer-heavy for a brewery but particularly delicious! We recommend the beer cocktails. And in the evening at the end of a week there is a stage with live music and a good atmosphere, which also invites you to stay longer than just to eat!

Das Brauhaus Ernst August ist zentral in der Altstadt von Hannover gelegen und hat, wie sich das gehört für ein solches Restaurant, eine große Zahl von Sitzplätzen. Meine Kollegin und ich besuchten dass Restaurant an einem Dienstag und hatten nicht vorgebucht. Der sehr freundliche Kellner bat uns, an der Theke Platz zu nehmen, da das Restaurant knackevoll war. Schnell erhielten wir die Karte und entschieden uns für das „normale“ Schnitzel und das mit Champignon-Rahm. Von der Sauce abgesehen, unterschieden sich die beiden Gerichte gar nicht. Das Essen und auch die Getränke kamen recht schnell. Dabei war die Bedienung immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das hausgebraute Bier war prima, die Schnitzel eher durchschnittlich, was aber bei der Zahl der Gäste kein Wunder ist.

Sehr gemütlich, und gutes essen. Ich war da mit 16 Geste durch die Messe IAA Transportation. Ich kann diese Restaurant enpfehlen!

You definitely have to visit it. Really good food, so delicious, tasty and very good portions. We will definitely come back next time we visit Hanover. I can recommend it to everyone.

We were there spontaneously on a Tuesday during the week. The service was top. We had a very hard-working, efficient and helpful waiter and even though the restaurant was almost full, we were given a table for eight people without a reservation. The seasonal lager tasted good and was okay in terms of price at 4.7 euros for 0.4 liters. The taste of all of our food (various dishes) was good to medium good. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were not filling enough for many people. In addition, the prices were quite expensive, so the food can only be rated as okay. All in all, the brewery is worth a visit.

Very nice atmosphere inside and outside. There's nothing to complain about about the food. A bit inflexible when ordering dishes that are not planned (can't it be that you can't order a portion of fries individually, but only in combination with another dish?!). The prices are inconvenient given the store's popularity.

The service was nice, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right. Prices a bit too high for what you get. Portions weren't enough because I wasn't full. 8 small fish nuggets with fries and some salad just under €18, coke just under 4.50. What was very positive was that the salad dressing was homemade and very tasty.
