The home-brewed beer is very good and the service is very fast and friendly.

Inattentive service, which only came after we made ourselves known (multiple times). There was barely a wait for our drinks. But the Aperol Spritz tasted really bad. The waiter said, "That can't be right," that no one had ever complained before, and asked the lady at the next table (!) if she liked it. Reluctantly, a replacement was brought. When paying, they asked if we wanted cash or card (we wanted to use card): "Don't you have any cash? That little is only possible with cash." We won't be back.

It looks like a brewery, large and a bit dated, with a menu that's 70% Italian and 30% rustic. The schnitzel platter was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent, and the beer was truly delicious.

Unfortunately, I can't give a review. We waited 35 minutes and there was no service, even though there were only eight people sitting in the entire outdoor area. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, eating went like that. Pizza little taste. A bit loveless. Extra artichokes and garlic on the pizza. Plus 3€. Garlic didn't taste good. Artichokes, no idea how old they were. get a stomach ache. I took the rest with me. Carelessly slapped into the aluminum foil. Ate the rest the next day. Getting a stomach ache again. Still a nice evening, as the ambience with St. Thomas Church with the moon 🌛 in the background was very nice.

We were here in a small group. Brauhaus is over the top, it's an expensive Italian place. The noodles with beef didn't taste good and are still heavy in the stomach hours later. 🤢 Like "old meat". The grill plate is incredibly expensive (30 €), but very manageable.

The Brauhaus an der Thomaskirche is located in the middle of Leipzig's old town, just a few steps away from the famous Thomaskirche. It combines Italian, Bavarian and Saxon dishes under one roof and also serves its own beer. Inside, a rustic flair dominates with visible wooden beams and vaulted ceilings. In summer, there is a beer garden with a clear view of the church. Conclusion: Thanks to the top location and the cozy, rustic atmosphere, the Brauhaus an der Thomaskirche is a popular restaurant, which is why a reservation is recommended. The food and service fully met my expectations.

We stopped by the restaurant for dinner. We do not pay attention to the invoice details when paying. Our bill came to around €152. I paid €160 (€8 for the waiter). However, when I got home and checked the bill again, I found that the waiter had added €10 (tip) to the bill without asking me. I don't know if this is a new law or not. But still have to ask the customer. This is Germany, not America.

Today we sat outside on the terrace. Actually very nicely located. About 30-40% of the tables were occupied. We had to wait over half an hour before we could order. We spoke to different waiters and they all said it wasn't their table. Very disappointing! This is not what service looks like.

The beer garden, in the shadow of Thomaskirche, is beautifully located. Otherwise, the food leaves a lot to be desired compared to other Leipzig restaurants. The oil was in the plate with the schnitzel. The fried potatoes are greasy. The waiter was very friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised. The brewery is located in a tourist hotspot, but the food was still very good. My husband had the duck, I had the spaghetti agio et olio (tip: as a vegan, be sure to order without cheese, it was on it for decoration, I forgot to ask for a vegan version). Despite the store being full, the waiter came very quickly and took the order in a friendly and prompt manner. The food didn't take long to arrive. Afterwards we sat at the table for a while in the nice weather, and when the weather is nice it's nice to sit outside. I can recommend it without reservation!

We used to come here often for dinner. Today there was only enough time for two quick beers. But they were exquisite (Schwarzbier and Märzen). Top! Staff was friendly and polite. The ambience is a touch too functional to be really comfortable.

Our visit to the restaurant was a complete success! There were two of us and we had a wonderful evening with delicious food, refreshing drinks and excellent service. We chose two dishes: salmon with hash browns and beef fillet with pepper sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked - slightly crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside. The rösti were golden brown, nice and crispy and tasted great with the fish. You could immediately tell that high-quality, fresh ingredients were used here. The beef fillet with pepper sauce was also a real highlight. The meat was buttery tender and cooked to perfection, exactly as it should be. The pepper sauce was pleasantly spicy, but not too dominant, so that the natural flavor of the fillet came through wonderfully. The side dishes were also delicious and perfectly matched to the dish. We drank Aperol Spritz with our meal, which was wonderfully refreshing and, with its fruity, slightly tart note, went perfectly with the summer evening. The mixture was just right, neither too bitter nor too sweet – just perfect. In addition to the excellent food and great drinks, we were also impressed by the service. The service was friendly, attentive and always made sure that we didn't lack anything. The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, so we felt completely comfortable. Overall it was a wonderful evening with excellent food, refreshing drinks and great service. We can fully recommend the restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Nach einem langen Tag zu Fuß unterwegs haben wir uns hier ein Bier und eine Pizza gegönnt. Von außen ganz unscheinbar und wenn man reinkommt, erschlägt es einen förmlich. Sieht schon sehr nach Massenabfertigung und "Tourikneipe" aus, aber das hat vollkommen seine Berechtigung. Wir wurden heraus freundlich und schnell bedient, die Pizza war gut, das Bier lecker. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden.

Brauhaus Riesenschnitzel doesn't deserve the name. Weak in taste. All ready-made food. And far too little potato - all that for €23 is a disgrace, people. Horrible cocoa. Paid €4.5 for a cocoa from a cheap coffee machine. Big disappointment

Right next to St. Thomas Church, a pleasant atmosphere with very good cuisine. The very friendly staff serve excellent food, good wines, their own beer in a short time and all at a very acceptable price.

Very comfortable on the inside but also very tight. Eating is not recommended. We ordered bruschetta. The wrong version came along. Instead of uncovering it fresh, the cheese would be smeared down and tomatoes would be carelessly placed on top. Brewed beer tastes good

The service staff seems more concerned with themselves than with customers. No eye contact, no active questioning, and then you sit at the table for 20 minutes and out of 4 waiters, no one feels responsible for taking the order, even though at 5 p.m. only 30% of the tables are occupied. The food is then there within 3 minutes. The Bavarian sausage salad and the side salad were o.k. but I wouldn't order either again. Overall disappointing.

The giant schnitzel was obviously from the fryer and there wasn't much of it to be seen. The rest of the plate was covered in a hint of fried potatoes and a hint of mushroom, but at least the plate was big. So you definitely don't have to visit the store again.

Went to Leipzig spontaneously It was nice, but nothing more. A brewery without schnitzel on the menu. And the waiter made a stupid comment because he didn't get a tip. Not experienced yet either.

The food is good, the beer is home-brewed in different versions. Still a little wistful. Some of the staff are very rustic in their dealings. Sometimes you have the feeling that you are just coming as a wallet and not as a welcome guest. Nevertheless, I would like to make a clear recommendation

A mi marido le gusta una cerveza y nos encantó pasar después de visitar los mercados de Navidad. Tenemos una mesa de inmediato a pesar de que el lugar estaba ocupado. Había mucho para elegir, tanto cerveza como comida. Es principalmente italiano, pero también hay cocina alemana. Soy vegetariana y había mucho para mantenerme feliz. Ed tiene una gran comida, cerveza y servicio. Terminamos volviendo el sábado. El lugar estaba martillado, pero debido a que el personal nos recordó que encontraron como una mesa y era igual de bueno. Nos complace que algunas de las críticas reflejen la misma experiencia que nosotros.

Very tasty beer and very tasty food!

After a walk around the Christmas market, we stopped by the brewery and tasted a few more beers. The restaurant is divided into several areas and there was enough space at and in front of the bar for those who just wanted to have a drink. The Christmas beer was highly recommended.

There were 9 of us and even in the restless pre-Christmas and football afternoon, with even more people than already, we were served very well, friendly and accordingly quickly. The food was good and none of the 9 of us had anything to complain about. Special requests were implemented and we were then able to start our Christmas market stroll in a good mood and full. That means we were very satisfied...keep it up 😉

The food was good and value for money was okay. Service was poor. No transparency when taking orders and invoicing. A lot of stress afterwards. Ambiance was okay, but in general it had nothing to do with a traditional brewery. Good luck, but I won't be back.

Unfortunately there is no clarity when it comes to the invoices or billing. Food was ok (pizza). Otherwise, no clarity on the bills and service rather mediocre.

I can't say anything about the beer or the food because we were assigned a table but were then ignored by the waiters and left after about 15 minutes. It was 8:45 p.m. and pretty empty. Service subpar and not recommended, never again!

The two of us went there on a Saturday evening without a reservation. We were quickly shown a table to sit at. Typical brewery furnishings and quite lively there, as you would expect from such inns. Our order was taken quickly, very friendly and delivered after a short wait. My lasagna tasted good, but could have been hotter. My companion's schnitzel with mushroom sauce was good and plentiful, unfortunately the fried potatoes that were served with it were not recommended at all, not crispy and very pale, there is a lot of room for improvement. We chose the restaurant because we were impressed with its pizza last summer.

The brewery offers an unusual concept: a typical rustic brewery atmosphere, but with Italian cuisine. It was very crowded and correspondingly loud, which of course contributes to the authentic atmosphere, but is less suitable for a relaxed meal. The food was deliciously prepared and we enjoyed it. The service was OK, but could have been a little warmer. Overall, a solid experience if you're prepared for the volume and want to enjoy good Italian cuisine in a brewery setting.

Quaint! Tasty food! Very friendly staff!

Food is far too expensive with mediocre quality. A few wafer-thin slices of onion as an “additional” to a meal where they are simply a part of the meal are something that the management can pay handsomely as an “extra”. If I had asked for it with an ice cream sundae, I would have understood, but with matjes with fried potatoes, completely wrong... even the waiter was embarrassed, but was obliged by the boss... I wasn't interested in 1.50 euros, but here I was really negatively surprised... Even without this "incident": food not recommended, locally brewed beer and service are okay. For that much money you can eat moderately elsewhere.

I was able to meet a very attentive, approachable and friendly staff. The Bach Days are in June 2025 and I’d love to stop by again.

Furnishings are old-fashioned. Eating is way too much. But super tasty.

A great business in the center, the pizza was on the table in a few minutes after ordering. Excellent beer! They just charge the tip automatically, which I only found out after I paid. So I paid the tip twice.

Large house with more of an Italian core range. It's okay, you can eat okay there, but in my opinion it's not a real highlight.

Very good food and very good beer. The two of us were in the restaurant for about 4 hours and had a bill of €119.70. I wanted to tip the waitress 3.30, but she didn't think that was enough. She was of the opinion that I should give her a minimum of €10. I have never experienced such behavior from the waitress.

Un lugar brillante en un sábado ocupado cuando en todas partes estaba reservado. Muchos aficionados del Leipzig en la ciudad y todos buscando sentarse y comer. No hicimos ninguna reserva. Excelente camarero nos encontró una mesa en minutos. La comida era excelente. Servicio muy rápido. Y la gente seguía acercándose a la puerta y se les encontraban mesas. Muy, muy recomendable.

Great place in the city center on a very lively street Don't be fooled, we ignored the bad reviews and shouldn't have! A frozen strawberry margarita (€9.90) that we take to end up having a strawberry smoothie, in a smoothie glass, good Ok, we report it to the waiter who doesn’t give a damn! Responds in an unpleasant voice saying he double checked. In short... I don't recommend it, especially for the city center..

The location of the brewery is good. Rustic interior, wooden tables and chairs, comfortable to sit on, the service is very attentive to the guest. The selection of food is good, home-style, no frills, visually clean, tasty and relatively large portions. After a stroll through the city, you can feel comfortable eating and drinking here

What a brewery. Wow. Not visible at all from the outside. Food/map definitely needs to be revised. Not so great. Taste ok. But brewery. There's something else going on. Waiters friendly and quick. The inn was extremely full inside, our starter came just 3 minutes after we ordered... is that a good thing or not?! Very expensive for that. As it is now, I wouldn't come back again. Too bad.

The 1st time we ate - everything was fine! We went there after 1 week. When the bill came- they put 10 % to everyone for tip!! 🤣 This is ridiculous, even not legal in Germany!!
