Were there for the company party. Buffet was very good.

I like to eat there, great food, great team and very cozy, price performance is right.

Formerly an old train station, now a very good restaurant with a slightly older flair. It was our first time here and it was for our wedding anniversary. We are very excited and when we entered the restaurant we were met by a very friendly older employee named Michael. He is the 🧡💛piece who welcomed us and served us with a lot of love and kindness.

It simply has to be said that we are long-time guests. Finally the nice waiter has been back at work for months, always smiling and always saying something quick. No matter how much he has to do, he is always friendly and always helpful to his colleagues. He is really one of the better waiters working in Velbert. And of course the food is always great and plentiful. The boss and the older man are also very nice and friendly. But in terms of working technique he is really one of the best we have seen and we have seen a lot of waiters - he is in the top league.

The name says it all: The menus say something about the history of the former train station building, otherwise there is a pure rustic brewery atmosphere with lots of dark, beautiful wood. The outdoor area also invites you to linger and dine. The dishes on the menu fully meet the expectations I expect in a brewery. The portions are generous and the plates are beautifully and elegantly arranged. The service is quick and attentive, drinks and food arrive quickly. You don't normally like to imagine the toilets in a train station. Things are different here at the Brauhaus Alter Bahnhof, the toilets are clean, bright and friendly. In order to avoid trouble with the neighboring discounter, the brewery has put up notices: "Please do not use the discounter's parking spaces during opening times." The brewery has its own parking lot. The path is signposted.

Excellent food, good service, reasonable prices, pleasant atmosphere, what more could you want. Recommended.

Yesterday the weather was very nice and we sat down outside in the beer garden and the waitress came to our table promptly. Very attentive, very friendly and very accurately dressed. Yesterday was schnitzel day and you can also drink two beers for a small price. We were very satisfied and would love to come back!

Very good home-style cooking. The service is absolutely first class. The outside area is very well maintained and lovingly decorated with flowers.

We had a lovely afternoon. Food was very tasty and plentiful. Price/performance is right. The small deduction in the ambience is really due to complaining at a high level. Only if you look more closely can you see spots here and there that could be repaired. But everything is clean...and that's what matters. I'll definitely go there again.

Unfortunately it has become far too expensive for a simple apple pancake €15.

It was really worth it! Even if it sounds banal, I haven't had such good fries in a long time! Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Simply TOP I had a schnitzel, Viennese style... very tasty! The staff is super friendly! It's definitely not the last time I've been there! Everything great!

I've known the brewery for two years and eat here with my family again and again, just like today. I can only recommend this restaurant. Attentive, very friendly staff, as well as excellent food which has never disappointed me in two years and I have already tried different dishes. It is always super tasty, fresh and optimally prepared.

Food good and plentiful. Unfortunately, the two gentlemen who served were totally unfriendly. When paying there wasn't even a comment about the tip, just slapped a receipt and didn't even say goodbye. We won't come back here.

Unfortunately, as a Swiss citizen, I was very disappointed. Cold plate of spaetzle from the factory. But the sauerbraten was good the first time I had it (cold afterwards). You could do MUCH MORE from this great restaurant, sorry, I'm not a professional, but it's important to me to write this. A PITY !!!

We have been visiting the brewery with friends for many years and we were warmly welcomed and treated and served in the best possible way. We had a large table with plenty of space for 8 people and sat a little apart so we had some peace and quiet for ourselves. The menu offers wonderful dishes for every taste, there were several dishes with asparagus and everything was of very good quality and taste. I can especially recommend the strawberry cup for dessert; this alone is almost a whole meal. We will definitely come back here.

Ambience is very great. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us.

Nice service, prices quite expensive

Schnitzel with beer sauce and fried potatoes with fried egg and fried onions. Schnitzel was tough as a shoe sole, beer sauce took some getting used to, fried potatoes with fried eggs were good and fried onions were mushy and dripping with frying fat. Prices increased while quality decreased at the same time. No comparison to the food six months ago. The negative impression gained was complemented by a rather grumpy waiter. The brewery will no longer be able to welcome me as a guest in the future

Anyone who loves good German cuisine is in good hands here. Very friendly staff, large enough portions, cooked with love. It's now my favorite restaurant, which I'm happy to drive 30 minutes to.

You want to go to the regulars' table again and what's going on, the room isn't available. Now 50 people have to go somewhere else to eat and drink at short notice. That was the last time we asked here.

If you want a good home-style meal... you can do that here... We recommend the 616 knuckle meat with fried onions, 👍

Only good for redeeming a voucher. At first the service was friendly until you paid with the voucher. Something pathetic. And to eat “you can eat” it’s better to go somewhere else.

Good, but room for improvement. Food was good and plenty, service was solid and the ambience was okay too. Of course it's not perfect, but I'm still giving it 5 stars because everything was completely reasonable in terms of price.

Were there with a group of about 10 people. The ambience is as you would expect from the name, rustic but chic. You may have to wait a little longer for your second drink, as the service seems to be at full capacity even when the store is half full. What doesn't work at all is the unfriendliness of a strong, middle-aged employee who apparently doesn't know anything about please, thank you or other phrases. While you're ordering something from him, you always feel like you're being a nuisance. You can only draw attention to yourself by shouting loudly. The food, on the other hand, is typical brewery style and sumptuous. In this sense, there is nothing wrong with the price-performance ratio.

Went there shortly after Christmas for food, very friendly staff, good home-style food, always very well attended. It would be better to reserve a table.

All in all it is good, we have tried many different dishes and all was ok, when is to crowded it tends to be a little blend. I highly recommend the Gulasch suppe

Great ambience (Art Nouveau) and great value for money. The portions are well sized and you will be full. Classic brewery food in the former Velbert main station. Always happy again 👍

Schönes rustikales Ambiente und leckeres Essen in ordentlichen Portionen.

Das Essen war gut preis Leistungsverhältnis hat gestimmt,Ambiente nicht so toll wir waren hinten im Raum total abgeschirmt.Das war früher der Raucherraum.abgesegen von diesem Raum kann man dort gut essen👍☺️würde da auch wieder hingehen 👍

Habe Haxe gegessen mit Kartoffelpüree und Röstzwiebel. War sehr lecker und hatte am nächsten Tag noch was davon.

Der Ort ist sehr schön. Auch für Familienfeiern. Man hat mehrere Räume oder Abteilungen zur Verfügung . Das Essen ist gut, die Karte übersichtlich. Allerdings wird für Veganer und Vegetarier fast nichts angeboten. Das finde ich schade. Nicht jeder mag zum Salat Pommes 🍟 . Die Toiletten sind ebenerdig zugänglich. Barrierefreiheit

Klassisches Brauhaus. Die Küche ist deftig und gut. Gut auch für größere Gruppen.

Man war das lecker. Nette Herren die uns bedient haben.

Eine gute Adresse in Velbert. Schön für Feiern mit kleinen Gruppen. Gutes Essen. Wir sind oft hier und fühlen uns immer gut aufgehoben.

Es war wirklich sehr lecker und total Kinder freundlich Die Kinder konnten etwas lauter sein ohne das jemand meckert. Außerdem bekamen sie einen Strohhalm ohne das wir extra danach fragen mussten. Alles in allem wirklich schön

Wer hier essen möchte braucht vor allem eines: Hunger. Das Essen passt zum Brauhaus-Thema. Eine rustikale, gutbürgerliche Küche. Die Preise vielleicht ein Tacken zu hoch, aber immer noch akzeptabel. Die Gerichte sind vielfältig, mit ein bisschen Convenience. Ansonsten geschmacklich sehr gut und sehr, sehr reichhaltig. Die Wartezeiten sind verhältnismäßig kurz. Der Service ist hervorragend. Alle sind sehr aufmerksam, trotz moderatem Andrang. Nicht aufdringlich, ein bisschen spaßig. Das Ambiente wirkt ein wenig altbacken. Insgesamt ist es etwas duster und die vielen dunklen Holzbalken und -decken lassen alles etwas gedrungen wirken. Für ein Brauhaus jedoch okay. Insgesamt waren wir an zwei Tagen hintereinander dort und hatten eine angenehme Zeit. Gerne wieder!

War am Mittwoch mit der Radtruppe hier. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Werde ich weiterempfehlen.

Super Logistik, sehr aufmerksames Personal ... und die Speisen erst! Wir sind mit einer Gruppe von 25 Personen angereist, die Gerichte waren vorbestellt, aber wir hatten gefühlt kaum Platz genommen da wurden schon die Getränke serviert und kurz darauf gab's die bestellten Gerichte, die sehr schmackhaft waren. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Bedienung auch in Ordnung. Verstehe nicht, warum so wenig Gäste da sind. Die Preise sind erträglich.

Super Essen und Service. Uriges Ambiente drinnen und schöner Biergarten. Lediglich der Parkplatz des Discounters vor dem Biergarten irritiert ein wenig.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab keine lange Wartezeit. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe und alle bekamen zeitgleich ihr Essen. Der Service war toll und aufmerksam.

seit ca. 25 Jahren ein sehr angenehmer Ort zum Einkehren. Das Essen ist dem Ort angemessen. Kein Schickimicki, sondern bodenständige Kost zum fairen Preis. Essen und Trinken in lockerer Atmosphäre, Drinnen, sowie Draußen. Ein frisch gezapftes Bier schmeckt dort aufgrund des Ambiente besonders gut. Das Brauhaus wird auch gerne von Radfahrern als Pause genutzt. Die Radtrasse verläuft direkt dahinter. Und auch größere Feierlichkeiten finden dort ihren Platz. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Bedienung ist Top und ein freundlich lockerer Spruch liegt immer in der Luft. Gemütlich lecker für Jung und Junggebliebene.

Wir waren mit 20 Personen zum Abendessen. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit der Kellner waren sehr gut 👍. Das Essen kam ziemlich zeitgleich für Alle und es war lecker. Wir waren zufrieden. Brauhaus immer gerne 👍.
