Highly recommended. Everything we ordered tasted wonderful and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere.

We ate at Lido for the first time yesterday and were very impressed. The service was very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Our food was beautifully presented. The portions were generous, with plenty of fresh vegetables and not at all over-seasoned. The price was perfect. We will definitely eat there again, as we also really liked the atmosphere.

A very good Asian restaurant. Please don't be put off by the overall Google rating, as most of it is still from the previous restaurant. Very fresh food, and they also offer a sushi menu. We had a little mixed bag and everything was excellent! The cocktails are also very good. The price/performance ratio is more than fair. We've been here three times now and will be happy to come back.

The old brasserie has truly become something beautiful. Everything has been renovated by the new owners. Very cozy and very friendly staff; I've already eaten my way through the menu. The new concept: fresh, Vietnamese cuisine. A real hit! The prices are also perfectly reasonable. I highly recommend it. If the place is completely full, it might take a little longer, but where isn't that the case? Reservations are essential.

The food was delicious, and the price was right. Unfortunately, it was very loud on Saturday night. The soundproofing definitely needs to be improved. When it's full, the smooth walls simply reverberate too much. We'll be back anyway. I just ordered something to pick up. No comparison to the previous owner, whose poor reviews unfortunately still drag down the average here.

Finally, a decent Asian restaurant in Unna, we thought at first. We went there twice and were satisfied. The Lido offers a varied menu that isn't overly elaborate. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended. The wide selection of cocktails is also interesting, and they also offer these Asian beer cocktails. You have to try them. The beer bottle is stuck upside down in the glass. The appetizers were absolutely delicious; we had the crispy wontons and the Cha La Lot barbecue (stuffed betel leaves with minced meat). For us, an appetizer there was a must. For my husband's main course, we had BUN BO NAM BO, roasted beef. Very good; the meat was tender as butter. I had the COM CHIEN HAI SAN, which listed shrimp and squid on the menu. In fact, the plate was full of seafood—mussels, buttery-soft squid, plenty of shrimp, and small shrimp. Unfortunately, things went downhill rapidly after that. The third time, we ordered takeout. BBQ chicken, once with curry sauce, once with herb sauce—two of the same dish, just with different sauces. When we got home, we weren't even sure if it was what we had ordered. My husband had completely different vegetables than me, my herb sauce was watery, and the chicken had wobbly skin. It wasn't good at all. Today we went there again for dinner; everyone deserves a second chance, after all, but that was also the last time. It was already quite crowded when we arrived, and the staff were running around frantically. We got a table inside, and after a relatively short time, our orders were taken. One was tempura sushi, then another BBQ chicken for me, and I don't even remember what for my husband. He wanted fried rice with it, but that was declined. The reason: "The kitchen is very busy." Fried noodles weren't available for the same reason. The sushi arrived after 15 minutes, but unfortunately, we didn't have any drinks by then. The sushi was hot and quite good. Because the rolls were stacked on top of each other, unfortunately, only 4 out of 10 had any sauce on them, leaving the rest quite dry. When we were almost finished with the appetizer, our drinks finally arrived after we'd asked for them four times. By then, the place was almost full, and the staff were frantically running around. A short waitress was constantly busy tossing her long hair around, but luckily, we didn't get any of it in our food. After another half hour, the main course arrived. My BBQ chicken was swimming in a thick sauce that had completely set around the edges, forming dark circles. The sparse skin-on chicken was wobbly and partially stuck to the edge of the plate. My husband's meal was okay, but in our opinion, far from restaurant quality, as it was at the beginning. It didn't taste particularly Vietnamese either; I probably could have done a better job of that at home. All in all, the huge rush doesn't seem to be doing the Lido any good. Quality fell victim to quantity. It's a shame, but we'll probably go there for a cocktail at best. We'll never eat there again.

It was our first time there and we received a warm welcome. Many tables were already reserved, but we still managed to get a seat. The food and drinks were served promptly after ordering. The dishes were optimistically beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Payment is only possible via cash or PayPal.

The food itself is very good, but the portion sizes sometimes vary considerably. I had a dish with peanut sauce and rice on the side (a tiny bit) and found the portion, especially the rice, to be too small. My companion had a bowl that was very generous, so she couldn't finish it all.

All dishes are presented with exceptional art. The iced teas are tastefully and beautifully decorated. I'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, I got a sudden migraine attack during my visit and couldn't eat anything. Our server was very courteous and attentive, even offered me a cup of tea and kindly packed my food. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the delicious food until I got home. Even after reheating, it was still excellent. It was beautifully presented, really delicious, and I also really like the ambiance. The best silken tofu I've ever tried! So if you're ever interested in trying tofu, they really know how to make divine tofu. I'll definitely be back soon, and hopefully next time without a migraine! The restaurant is located in the pedestrian zone directly on the central market square. Paid parking and a parking garage are within easy walking distance. The shop appears to have been recently renovated (unfortunately, the restrooms weren't included, and they really needed it). The staff is very friendly and attentive, but despite their best efforts, the few serving staff were simply overwhelmed by the busy restaurant. This resulted in long waits, which doesn't always have a positive effect on the temperature of the dishes. The menu is extensive, and for several dishes, you can choose between vegetarian, beef, chicken, or duck. The quality of our selections was consistently good. The sushi is freshly prepared on-site, is of good quality, and highly recommended. The value for money is good. Unfortunately, cards are not accepted as a payment method. PayPal is the only accepted cashless payment method. We would be happy to return. However, on future visits, we will try to ensure that this is outside of peak hours.

We love Vietnamese food - so I was all the more pleased that this is now available in Unna. Now comes the big but: there are no Vietnamese herbs on the food. This means the typical flavor is lost – what's left is average Asian food. What a shame! I found the payment more than irritating, because with PayPal you pay into a personal account, not a company account. I found that odd. Sitting outside was okay, but millions of flies came as soon as the food arrived. It was very weird. Overall, it was okay for us, but not a restaurant we'll be going to regularly.

I was here for the first time today, and I'll definitely be back. The food and service were really great. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

First of all, and this is the most important thing: The food was great and the drink selection was enormous. But: The tables are far too close together, both inside and out. I don't need to hear my neighbors' conversations, even if they're speaking quietly. The service was extremely friendly, when it was there. We waited forever for new drinks and to pay; no one really came by. Paying is my biggest annoyance. They don't offer card payments. What's the point? That's an absolute no-go these days. All in all, improvements are needed, but then nothing stands in the way of 5 stars.

The food is delicious, and that's what matters! Unfortunately, the service is far too slow. Even if you're practically the only one in the shop, you still wait 40 minutes at lunchtime. Nobody has that much time at lunchtime. So we'll be back, but we know that we can only do it without the time pressure.

My wife and I wanted to have dinner at the Lido on Sunday. The website listed the opening time as 10:00. When we arrived at 12:10, a sign was posted: Open Sunday from 1:00 PM. That's a sure way to scare off guests.

It was incredibly delicious and the value for money was excellent. The seating is actually quite tight, so it's getting one star less. You should make a reservation, and they don't accept card payments. We'll definitely be back. Great new restaurant in Unna.

A fantastic new restaurant has opened in Unna. The interior has been radically revamped and the lighting is fantastic. The food is consistently delicious, with the golden curry with breaded chicken being my favorite. The exterior definitely needs more work to make it more visually appealing and to make people aware of the new restaurant. I've been there dozens of times now and can't fault it. Good luck in Unna!

Hopefully, many people read the reviews before dismissing it altogether. Many reviews were written before the new restaurant opened, and therefore the ratings are still relatively poor overall. I was there for the first time yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and there was a large selection, including a wide variety of beers. The service was very polite and friendly, and even a bit funny. You feel very welcome there. I was even able to bring my dog. We had three main courses, two starters, and a few beers, and the bill came to €83 for two and a half hours of great fun.

We were at Lido for lunch today. I've rarely eaten anything so delicious. We had summer rolls, tempura, and fried gyoza for starters, and the udon and plum chicken for main courses. The prices were really reasonable compared to other restaurants, and, as I said, incredibly delicious.

We received excellent service, and the food was also good. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the server arrived within a few minutes. I can't confirm the poor service described in other reviews. The prices are mid-range, and you get a sufficient portion for the money. We'd be happy to come back again.

Lido is a wonderful place to experience

Unfortunately it was disappointing :-( The three of us had dinner. The starter came after a long time, but not complete either; Apparently the order was not recorded correctly. A positive thing to note here is that the edamame were at a great temperature! :-) The main meal came much later, although all three of us had it at different times. I was almost finished with my fried noodles when number 2 got the soup (which was super watery and had no taste). Person number three initially received the wrong food, which immediately went back into the kitchen. At some point the supposedly correct thing arrived (but it didn't correspond to the description) and the side dish from the wrong food that was first served remained - but unfortunately it didn't match the dish. Unfortunately, my noodles were missing a lot of vegetables (2 leaves of bok choy, 3 pieces of broccoli and a few sprouts are very little for noodles with vegetables). Unfortunately, we sat with empty drinks, even though the dishes were served in between. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good. I think if you were better positioned here and the kitchen worked out, then you could go there well. It would be desirable.

It's a shame that the reviews of the brasserie here are mixed up with the Lido. The brasserie, which I knew for decades, was recently very run down and had nothing to do with the original restaurant. After a thorough renovation, the Lido has now been in the same location for around a month. What can I say. A difference like day and night. Fast, friendly service, tasteful furnishings, still unfamiliar dishes from Vietnam (but tasty and appetizingly prepared). Price/performance okay. We'll be back.

Basically probably not a bad restaurant, but massively too few/bad staff. There were three of us eating and we waited 1:30 for our food, which came in 15 minute intervals. The fried flat rice noodles were OK, not a hit but edible after the wait. The PHO soup was completely watered down, as if one liter of soup had been quickly diluted with water to make two liters. The third BBQ chicken was incorrectly recorded despite my finger being on the picture on the menu, so I had to wait another 15 minutes for the food. I was then given cold sweet potato fries from the wrong dish instead of the rice it was supposed to be. I was also served a completely different dish than what was shown in the picture on the menu. There was no sign of corn cobs or chicken pieces. The no longer so BBQ chicken was quite tasty, even though I had ordered something completely different. All in all, the store's staffing is completely wrong, orders take forever and due to the staff being overloaded, mistakes are constantly made that there is no time to correct. It's a shame, it could actually be a pretty good place if they had enough smart staff.

IN ADVANCE: Many of the bad reviews here still concern the old brasserie!!!! ==================================== It was our first time in the Lido, but we had heard good things about the store. Since we were there in the afternoon, we were the first guests in the restaurant and there were a few tables occupied outside. Furnishings are new and very nice. However, the tables are partially very close to each other. The menu is very extensive and it takes some time to browse through it. Note for the service: During this time you could ask the guests what they would like to drink. Otherwise the staff was very nice and accommodating! To eat: As a starter we had the Crispy Wonton with chicken and prawns and mango sauce. Delicious. The main course was number 30 on the table. = crispy fried hot rice, fresh shrimp and squid, peanuts, pineapple, and scrambled eggs with fried onions and fresh vegetables. I had the #35 BBQ Tiger Shrimp. About 10 large shrimps, green asparagus, zucchini, king oyster mushrooms, leeks in a hot BBQ sauce that was still sizzling in the plate. (Similar to the "Hot Stone" at the Chinamann. There were also sweet potato fries with a wasabi mayo. The dishes tasted excellent and were well seasoned. There was nothing to complain about in this regard and the price-performance ratio is more than reasonable. It won't have been our last visit there! Toilets: A bit small and "dated", but clean. Can only recommend a visit there. And if you don't want to eat, you can also sit outside under the awning in summer with a glass of wine or a cocktail.

The Lido in Unna is the successor to the brasserie. We have been there several times now and are thrilled. The food is simply delicious. The dishes are served appetizingly and keep what they promise. My husband had udon noodles with crispy duck and I had rice noodles with salad, peanuts and Vietnamese spring rolls. The Mango Lassi and the “Berry Berry” iced tea were also exactly my taste. We'll come again and again and again. :-)

Lido Unna – a place with potential, but unfortunately a failure today So far I've eaten at the Lido on the market square in Unna three times - every time the food was excellent, the service was quick and attentive. But my visit on May 1st was unfortunately a disappointment. Even though the terrace wasn't fully occupied, we had to wait over an hour for our starter - which didn't come at all. Instead we were served a main course that we hadn't ordered. Despite repeated questions, we were repeatedly put off with a “five more minutes”. In the end, we gave up the food in frustration. Two drinks were provided by the house - thank you very much for that. But instead of an honest apology, we experienced a waiter who seemed more instructive than solution-oriented. Conclusion: The impression of this day was heavy on the entire visit. In the end, the gastronomic risk does not lie with the guest - but with you. There is an urgent need for improvement in service and in the handling of complaints.

The brasserie is dead, long live the Lido. Went to the Lido for the first time today and loved the food Vietnamese cuisine, nice and fresh. I had summer rolls with shrimp, shrimp tempura and as a main course Pho with salmon, shrimp, mussels, squid. I found everything very tasty. I paid almost €30 for the food. I found it perfectly fine. For me, the Lido at the market is definitely an enrichment of the Gadtro scene in Unna. I'll definitely come back.
