The food is not tasty, the toilet is paid, I do not recommend it!

When we took another trip to Lake Motzen with the little rascals today, fries and currywurst from Strandfritzen were a must! First of all, we laughed ourselves silly at the funny name. It was immediately clear that hunger, big and small, would be satisfied here. The weather was great, I can tell you that. But back to the food: I can say that over the years I've become a currywurst expert. That's why I was very excited about the local currywurst. But unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. The curry sauce turned out to be no sauce at all. It's absolutely incomprehensible how this could be defined as a sauce. Apparently, it was some kind of lentil stew with strong curry seasoning. While I was briefly pleased by the addition of an appetizer, the realization that it was actually "curry sauce" resulted in a drastic disappointment. What a shame! But people say currywurst comes from Berlin, so how could the recipe get lost 30km away? Let's get to the sausage: It came deep-fried after being sliced. A very unusual presentation. Unfortunately, not recommended at all. The fries had a wonderful fries seasoning, for which we give it 5 stars! However, the fries themselves were very dry, so our big rascal choked and suffered a prolonged coughing fit. Unfortunately, we didn't buy a drink, so there's nothing to be done about that. Last but not least, it's worth mentioning that each portion comes with 2 x 17ml sauces, meaning mayo and/or ketchup. The good ones from Heinz, I praise them! But a little more sauce would not only have been great, but the rascal might also have been spared a coughing fit. But there's nothing to be done about that. The premises give the impression of a storage room, which is irritating. We would come back!

A wide variety of regional and seasonal dishes... The chanterelles are highly recommended. The portions are very generous.

We went there for the first time today and took advantage of the last rays of sunshine by sitting outside. The food and service were perfect. It's rare to find such friendly staff. And it's amazing that all the dishes are half price. I mean, a ribeye steak for less than €15—where else can you find that? So, all in all, I highly recommend SHR...👍👍👍 P.S. And dogs are welcome too 🐶🐶
