Great atmosphere, super friendly and attentive service, and the food was absolutely top-notch. The food arrived quickly and was always served and presented with great care. The beef fillet was cooked to perfection. The desserts were also freshly made. We were thrilled and will definitely be back.

We were given a very comfortable seat with a view of the cathedral – the ambiance was truly inviting. The service was fast, attentive, and extremely friendly. A young colleague had a minor mishap while serving drinks when a colleague lightly brushed against her. She was visibly uncomfortable, but it wasn't a problem for us at all. These things happen – and it didn't dampen our good mood at all. Everything was perfect, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. We had reserved a table for dinner on September 27th. Everything went perfectly (reservations are now required in many good restaurants, including this one). Dinner: baked Camembert, schnitzel, and lumberjack steak were very good. The dishes were delicious and presented beautifully. The service was very good, with an unobtrusive courtesy that's hard to find. The prices were in a range where you wouldn't expect such service. The ambiance was very tasteful. My wife and I felt completely at home, thank you.

Super friendly and the food was to die for!

We were met with a very rude welcome at the door, and when we asked for a table for two, the man looked at us very suspiciously and said that everything was full or reserved, even though the restaurant was completely empty and there were no reserved signs on the tables. When we pointed out that the place looked so empty, the rude man at the entrance replied that it was his business and his place, which I doubt. We later read online that you have to make a reservation in advance. But they could have said it more politely. They wouldn't have allowed themselves to do that during the coronavirus pandemic.

We wanted to eat there. The restaurant was completely empty except for one occupied table. We were asked if we had a reservation. We had to say no. There's also no way to reach anyone by phone. A man claimed to be the owner. His language casts doubt on that. We were told in such a condescending manner that everything was reserved. Unacceptable behavior. Various reviews, including about the food, make us glad we didn't eat there.

The food was good. Unfortunately, my steak wasn't medium rare and wasn't as good as it was a few years ago. The bread is homemade and tastes good. I just wish it was a bit crispier. For €38-40 per steak, I really hoped for more. They gave my little 1.5-year-old daughter a painting set and extra quark. That was very nice. The service was amazing. Super fast, super friendly. The view of the cathedral is, of course, very beautiful.

It's quite good, but they don't differentiate between entrecôte and rib-eye steak, and the chef denies there's a difference between prime rib and ribeye. Too expensive. No discount even though the waiter poured a glass of beer on me. What a shame.

Contrary to the negative experiences of many guests, 99% of which are related to the owner, we have only positive things to report. Last week, we invited business clients to the steakhouse. We had a table on the terrace. The ambiance, with a view of the cathedral, is outstanding. The waitresses took our drink orders and our food orders. So far, so good and friendly. Unfortunately, most of the steaks we ordered were not served as requested, "medium rare" or "medium," but rather well-done. Not to mention the mixed-up side dishes, which we hadn't ordered. We immediately pointed this out to the waiter in a friendly manner, and the plates were promptly taken back and corrected. It took less than a minute before the manager came to our table and emphatically explained to us that we were wrong. "Medium rare" was what it looked like, and we had no idea. Even a visual comparison with the vivid pictures on the menu didn't convince him. After several back and forths, we were thrown out of the restaurant and banned from the premises. When our business customer commented that he had never experienced such unfriendly behavior, the manager of Bralo finally threatened to hit him. We are stunned and appalled.

First of all, the service was super friendly and attentive. Top-notch! For dinner, we had two Bralo burgers, which were great and tasty. The bun was also nice and crispy, simply delicious. 😋

The food was delicious and very attractively presented. The service was excellent. Our coats were taken and returned when we left the restaurant. The waiters wore white gloves. We had a small company party here and were thoroughly satisfied. We'll be back and highly recommend this hospitality.

We wanted to sit outside; several tables were free and not marked as reserved. When we asked, the waiter simply said it was 'his table,' he had nothing for us – and turned away. As he walked away, he made another unfriendly comment. Other guests were also very rudely turned away. I wasn't used to the restaurant like this; in the past, the staff had always been friendly and courteous. I'm honestly shocked.

I came in without a reservation. I got a table right away. The service was absolutely top-notch, and my requests were accommodated. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite hot, so I deducted one star. But it was very tasty. I still recommend it.

We traveled over an hour today to eat at Bralo Haus in Magdeburg. According to the website, the restaurant was open. We wanted to reserve a table in advance and tried several times to reach someone by phone – unfortunately, to no avail. We also received no response to our email. Hoping to still get a seat, we finally went there on a whim. Once inside, we were approached by a gentleman who told us the restaurant was apparently fully booked. When we asked him again, he explained that he had deliberately turned off his phone because he was receiving too many calls and, after all, had a personal life. This behavior is completely unacceptable for a restaurant that's open during regular opening hours. Anyone who runs a business should also be available during business hours or at least leave a clear notice on their website. The disrespectful tone was particularly irritating: Instead of showing understanding, we were addressed in a condescending manner, including repeatedly being addressed as "my angel." This kind of address is completely inappropriate and unpleasant for me, as a female guest. Especially in the restaurant industry, politeness, respect, and a professional tone should be a given. Unfortunately, none of that was evident here. Conclusion: We are disappointed, feel neither taken seriously nor valued, and cannot recommend Bralo House in any way. Clear communication, accessibility, and respectful interaction would have been the bare minimum.

All I can say is, it's delicious. It's the best steakhouse in Magdeburg. I'll be back again and again.

A bit expensive, but you get very good quality food.

A wonderful place to enjoy excellent food in a historic setting... We had a long-term reservation to eat before our evening event on the Cathedral Square. Friendly and attentive service and a lovely spot directly opposite the cathedral are a good starting point. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better spot in Magdeburg... The whole experience is perfected by an extensive selection of delicious appetizers, steaks, and several other dishes that leave nothing to be desired. Add a glass or two of dry red wine or, if you like, a dolci with espresso, and a feeling of contentment develops. That this isn't exactly a budget-friendly affair is to be expected. Nevertheless, the price is absolutely justified. Conclusion: Highly recommended! UPDATE 2025: We visited again before the Cathedral Festival, and what can I say: still great! Due to the cool weather, we're indoors this time, but the service is still professional and incredibly friendly, the food is great, and the level of interaction with guests is just right to make the visit a truly successful event. For us, the best choice for dinner in Magdeburg!

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations, a shame. Almost no red wine available by the bottle, only a Dornfelder. I ordered the 330g round-eye steak, 100g more than the menu, as 'medium rare'. Unfortunately, the steak came out medium rare, or even overcooked in some cases, which was terrible. The quality also didn't match the price. The baked potato wasn't exactly a highlight, and the green beans were pretty overcooked. Perhaps an isolated incident. But for over €60, I expect more.

A real highlight for steak lovers! This was my first time at Bralohouse and I can only say: absolutely recommend it! The ambiance is stylish, cozy, yet modern – you immediately feel at home. The service was attentive, friendly, and gave us good advice without being intrusive. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and exactly as ordered (medium rare). The meat quality was top-notch, and you can tell that great importance is placed on fresh ingredients. The side dishes were also excellent, especially the homemade herb butter and the grilled vegetable mix. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable for the quality. If you appreciate good meat and a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you. Bralohouse is definitely one of the best steakhouses I've been to so far, and I'll definitely be back.

Wir hatten für unser Jubiläum vorab einen Tisch im Aussenbereich bestellt. Als wir am Abend ankamen, war die komplette Terrasse leer und Tische nicht eingedeckt, obwohl es sommerliche 22 Grad hatte und regenfrei war. Der unfreundliche Herr am Empfang vor der Tür erklärte uns, dass die Terrasse heute geschlossen bleibt. Wir waren mehr als irritiert, da es diesbezüglich bei der Tischbestellung keinen Hinweis gab. Wir hatten uns auf einen wunderschönen Abend bei gutem Essen gefreut. Was dann aber geschah, haben wir mit unseren 65 Jahren noch nie erlebt. Der mittlerweile bereits unverschämte Herr erklärte uns, dass er das durchgeschwitzte Personal vom Innenbereich nicht rausschicken wollte, um mögliche Krankmeldungen am nächsten Tag vorzubeugen. Fassungslos über diese Argumentation fragten wir, welchen Tisch er uns im Innenbereich anbieten könne. Es kam die unverschämte Antwort des nun aggressiven Herrn, dass er für uns gar keinen Tisch hätte und er zudem uns das Hausrecht entzieht (???) und wir das Restaurant nicht betreten durften trotz Vorbestellung. Echt der Gipfel der Unfreundlichkeit und Ungastlichkeit! NIE WIEDER BRALO in Magdeburg, denn das hat kein Gast verdient, so behandelt zu werden. Keine Empfehlung!!! Gerettet hat unseren Abend das RIKARD im Hundertwasserhaus mit einem ausgesprochen freundlichem Personal, toller Gastlichkeit und sehr leckerem Essen. Da war der Gast wirklich herzlich willkommen - auch spontan und ohne Vorbestellung.

I had made a reservation by phone for our silver wedding anniversary. When I asked for a nice table for our silver wedding anniversary, the answer was: every table at Bralo is nice. We ended up sitting next to the salad buffet, which felt a bit unattractive, with a view of the kitchen. The service was very good until we paid. Except for the fact that we had ordered a bread basket as an appetizer, among other things, without knowing that it would have been provided by the house anyway. A hint from the waiter would have been nice, as it was our first time there. The food was okay, but I would have hoped for a better taste experience from this highly acclaimed steakhouse. The worst came after paying. We paid approximately €340, and after the tip (which was obviously too small), the service changed from one second to the next. We were greeted with a mumbled "Goodbye" without our jackets being brought to us, leaving us standing in the restaurant, confused. After asking, our jackets arrived without any further pleasantries. We just wanted to leave and will definitely not go to the restaurant again.

Great food. Very friendly staff. Paying (group of about 15 people) takes more than half an hour. Otherwise, everything was fine, I'd go again.

Wir hatten einen grossen Tisch für 11 Personen 3 Monate vorher reservieren lassen. Wir kamen pünktlich an und hatten uns auf ein Steak gefreut. Als wir nach dem Tisch gefragt hatten, wurde uns dieser , obwohl genug Tische frei waren verweigert. Einen Kompromiss wollte der Besitzer nicht machen. Es kam zu einem Wortgefecht und zum Schluss wurden wir mit den (Worten Haut ab) weggejagt. So etwas ist uns bisher noch nie passiert. Wir können hier aufgrund der Unfreudlichkeitnur ein Mangelhaft ausstellen und von dem Besuch absolut abraten. Das Ganze ist nicht mehr zu überbieten.

Our first visit to Bralo House together was a complete success. The attentive, extremely courteous service and the stylish atmosphere with a view of Magdeburg Cathedral created the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening. The well-kept terrace invites you to linger, and the staff impressed with their warmth, charm and professionalism. Particularly noteworthy is the charming host, whose humorous and open manner rounded off the experience. The meals were a delight – excellent in taste, superbly presented and prepared with great care. Individual wishes were also taken into account and implemented thoughtfully. A place to which we are happy to return - our new favorite restaurant in Magdeburg.

In terms of ambience and design, a typical steakhouse is very inviting and cozy. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Our food was fantastic, the steaks were spot on and couldn't be better!

We have it on June 6th. visited. The bread with the fillet steak was like rusks, the meat was soggy. Not a word of apology. Not recommended. After four years on April 19, 2025 we visited the Geststätte again. Nothing has changed. The bralo bread is still rusks. The meat was supposed to be medium rare, unfortunately it was down. Just disappointing. Absolutely not recommended.

Four of us spontaneously ate there. The shop was full, but we were asked to wait a moment and freshly set a table for us. We were brought to the table, our jackets were taken from us and we were served really well. The food was absolutely delicious. Yes, if you want to eat good, high-quality meat these days, you have to pay money for it. The price-performance ratio was spot on here. We would come back at any time.

Wir waren spontan zu viert dort essen. Der Laden war gut voll, aber man bat uns kurz zu warten und deckte uns einen Tisch frisch ein. Man brachte uns zum Tisch, nahm uns die Jacken ab und wir wurden richtig gut bedient. Das Essen war total lecker. Ja wer in der heutigen Zeit gutes hochwertiges Fleisch essen möchte, muss dafür Geld bezahlen. Hier stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis auf den Punkt. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

We had booked a table for three people for today from 12 p.m. and only arrived a few minutes later. The reception at the entrance was super friendly and very polite and we were then shown to our table by the waiter in charge, if you can put it like that. at the window, with a bench and a view of the cathedral. The jackets and my walking stick were received by the staff and brought to the cloakroom - everyone was always extremely friendly and always with a smile. We had already looked at the menu at home and almost agreed on what we wanted to order. But the look at the attractively designed map changed our wishes again... we then ordered: 1x steak plate with potato wedges 1x rump steak with baked potato 1x jonny cash steak with country potatoes then for dessert: 1x apple strudel with ice cream 1x Swedish cup without nuts EVERY one of our special requests was met in a friendly manner and with a smile from the always attentive waiter! We have rarely had such a great waiter, where just one look was enough to call him to the table - incredibly great service. So we had a very nice family day, with great food and in a really nice, feel-good atmosphere for us. Only the tables, which were a little too many/too close together for our taste, weren't that nice. You hear too much of the conversations at the other tables. But you have to say that you can get over that. But as I said, this is a matter of personal taste. All in all: 5/5 stars!

On March 29th, 2025 I had a spontaneous meal at Bralo House in Magdeburg. I was greeted very friendly by the staff and taken to my table. The waiter was very courteous and very attentive. The starter and main course would be excellent. Thanks to the good attendance at the restaurant, we were able to get a table even without a reservation.

Der Service war nicht Doll. Für 4 Streifen Fleisch und ein bisschen Zwiebeln auf einen Spieß eine Kartoffel und ein Stück Brot,was auch noch pappich war 30€ zu verlangen finde ich schon dreist.

The food: - A welcome from the kitchen and a pork steak with onions and fried potatoes. The welcome: passionless, sunflower oil with garlic, tasteless "herb spread" in white, and spicy tomato spread, which was red and okay. The highlight: fried potatoes swimming in oil and were rubbery, flavor-wise: without any. The plentiful onions were glib and, of course, swimming in the oil. The meat was okay. All in all, I and my stomach would have probably been better off in any Magdeburg kebab shop. Especially since all the white bread served was very, very crusty. It's a shame, because the service from the plentiful staff was very good.

We were there in a larger group. Food as you would expect from a steakhouse. Sales are clearly generated through drinks and side dishes and are significantly overpriced. The salad bar was once included and spirits were significantly cheaper. The service is very good, but you are not allowed to decide anything independently. With a bill in the four-figure range, there isn't even a round on the house. There are now better and modern restaurants in Magdeburg. Too bad.

We spontaneously reserved a table for two people at 7:30 p.m. that same evening and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, with some truly extraordinary creations. I enjoyed the pork tenderloin with mushrooms and bacon croquettes while my wife chose a burger with fries - absolutely 5 out of 5 stars! The service was also very friendly and attentive. She took our jackets from us and literally read our wishes from our lips. Here too we give a full 5 stars. Unfortunately, there was a negative aspect. Unfortunately, our table was placed between two larger tables, making the distance very narrow. There was a lack of privacy as the other guests could directly observe what we were doing. For this reason we unfortunately have to deduct 2 stars. Overall, it can quickly become expensive if there are two of you, which is justified, but that evening our togetherness was significantly impaired by the cramped seating situation.

Ich war im Bralo House essen und hatte insgesamt eine gemischte Erfahrung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und präsent. Sie haben sich rechtzeitig erkundigt, ob sie noch etwas bringen können – ein wirklich guter Service. Das Ambiente ist in Ordnung, nichts Besonderes, aber angenehm. Ich hatte die Steak-Trilogie mit Hüftsteak, Rumpsteak und Filet, alle in Medium bestellt. Die Portionen sind ausreichend. Leider war das Hüftsteak sehr zäh und wurde beim Kauen immer mehr im Mund. Das Rumpsteak und das Filet hingegen waren gut. Die Ofenkartoffel mit Sour Cream, die dabei war, hat mich nicht überzeugt. Die Schale war extrem dick, was darauf hindeutet, dass die Kartoffel sehr alt war. Der Geschmack war entsprechend nicht besonders. Zum Nachtisch gab es Tiramisu. Der Geschmack war grundsätzlich gut, aber die Mascarpone-Schicht war viel zu dick. Dadurch hat man kaum etwas vom Teig geschmeckt und hatte das Gefühl, nur Mascarpone-Creme zu essen – viel zu mächtig. Ich habe die Hälfte stehen lassen. Hier wäre weniger Mascarpone definitiv mehr gewesen. Insgesamt also ein durchwachsenes Erlebnis mit gutem Service, aber Verbesserungspotenzial bei der Küche.

We only came for a beer and it turned out that you can only pay by card for orders over PLN 30, so we had to go to the ATM on the other side of the street :D On the plus side, a nice view of the cathedral.

The service staff is great, the food is quite good, but the management is so-so. Unfortunately, we noticed how the boss(?) rudely talked to a guest. Apparently he took something personally or something didn't suit him about the guest. No matter what, as long as it's a trivial matter, you should avoid such behavior as a boss. Not professional towards his guests, especially when everyone else has to notice. We sat right next to it...feeling embarrassed. We might go there again, but only because of the nice service staff.

I am actually stunned by our visit to this house this evening. 0 or minus stars would have been justified. I was here 2 weeks ago and was quite satisfied with the good food and nice service. That's why I made a reservation for two for a business lunch this evening. We got a table in a rather uncomfortable part of the restaurant, unfortunately over the corner with a clear view of the neon-bright tiled entrance towards the kitchen and toilets, without any atmosphere and right next to a large group. I then made it clear to our responsible employees that we weren't really happy with the table and whether there was an option to move to the much quieter window area. After several service staff were there who were not linguistically or functionally authorized to make decisions here, they passed the question on to the boss. He immediately made his rejection of his employee clear, then came to our table to make it clear in an incredibly unfriendly and unhospitable manner that he had no way of knowing where guests wanted to sit when they made a reservation. That's right, at first we "just asked" whether there was an alternative. However, the tone and manner made it immediately clear that we were no longer wanted. The menu was snatched (!) out of my hand and we were told to leave. He doesn't want to be bothered by people like that, because we would be the ones who would find the wine too warm and the food bad anyway, and he wouldn't want to serve people like us. At first I couldn't believe what was happening, but it was actually real, an incredibly unfriendly innkeeper expelled us from the house for no reason and only after we asked him to check whether another table was possible (and the resulting discussion in which I expressed my surprise at the unprofessional handling of complaints (polite throughout!!). I really wonder: how can such a host survive in this day and age? The result for him: we will definitely not be coming back, we ended up in the very nice Ricard a few meters away, so 160 euros in sales went there very justifiably and we also use our extensive contacts in Magdeburg to share our experience. Maybe it will help...

It felt odd that I wasn’t allowed to keep my fleece jacket at the table. The customer service was in this respect a bit unusual, but perhaps that’s just standard for the restaurant. Burger bun was nothing to write home about, the steak was average at best.

I have never experienced such an incredibly arrogant, arrogant, incompetent and choleric managing director. We had arranged to have dinner there with business colleagues and were supposed to hang up our jackets in the cloakroom after entering the restaurant. When we asked to leave them at the table (since there were valuables in the jackets) this was denied and the boss was called. He immediately became abusive towards us, "that is his house rule, that he can decide where, what, when and how is done in his restaurant" when we then said that we wanted to leave our jackets with us, he told us in the most unfriendly manner Way thrown out. He is not dependent on the sales we (9 people) bring in and we couldn't afford it anyway. What a disgrace!!! I will never see this place again and I will definitely pass on the message to my colleagues and friends that Bralo should be avoided! There are other and better places in Magdeburg that still appreciate the guest and offer great service and delicious food!

ONE STAR IS STILL TOO MUCH! Bottom line, I wouldn't leave a cent in this restaurant. The boss can't be surpassed in arrogance and treats his guests disrespectfully, condescendingly and unfriendly. We had a reservation for 9 people and simply asked if we could leave 2 of our jackets at the table because there were valuables in the jackets. The boss immediately became abusive without speaking to us like people, said we should go to Bingöl Döner, that's where we belong because we couldn't afford his food anyway (reservation for 9 people) and he wasn't on our money He doesn't care what our reservation brings in if we don't hang the jackets on the coat rack. For me, the way of immediately becoming abusive and disrespectful is neither professional, nor does it have anything to do with pleasant service, nor does it have anything to do with running a company that treats guests like that because of JACKETS! I don't want to know what's going on behind the scenes at Bralo. THIS is not a restaurant to recommend, note the same descriptions about the service and the boss that keep recurring, that's no coincidence! There is good food in other restaurants too, but you should ask yourself whether you actually want to give your money to this type of person and pay for it voluntarily... You should also question why you only want to pay in cash at the end...

Ich habe noch nie einen so unfassbar arroganten, überheblichen, inkompetenten und cholerischen Geschäftsführer erlebt. Wir waren mit Geschäftskollegen zum Essen dort verabredet und sollten, nach Betreten des Lokals, unsere Jacken an der Garderobe aufhängen. Als wir darum baten, diese mit am Tisch lassen zu dürfen (da Wertsachen in den Jacken waren) wurde dies verneint und der Chef wurde dazu gerufen. Dieser wurde sofort ausfallend uns gegenüber, "das sei sein Hausrecht, dass er bestimmen darf wo, was, wann und wie in seinem Lokal gemacht wird" als wir dann meinten, wir wollen unsere Jacken aber bei uns lassen hat er uns auf unfreundlichste Art und Weise rausgeworfen. Er sei auf unseren Umsatz den wir (9Personen) bringen würden nicht angewiesen und wir könnten uns das eh nicht leisten. So eine Frechheit!!! Mich sieht dieses Lokal nie wieder und ich werde es im Kollegen- und Freundeskreis definitiv weiter geben, dass das Bralo zu meiden ist! Es gibt andere und bessere Lokalitäten in Magdeburg, die den Gast noch zu schätzen wissen und einen super Service und leckeres Essen bieten!

The food was very tasty and visually very appealing. The customer service was friendly and put a lot of effort into making the food tasty and beautiful. The restaurant offers a cathedral view and the menu was very varied. The customer service was good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. Thank you, from a happy customer (12 years).

EIN STERN IST NOCH ZU VIEL! Unterste Würde, keinen Cent würde ich in diesem Restaurant noch lassen. Der Chef ist an Überheblichkeit nicht zu übertreffen, behandelt seine Gäste respektlos, herablassend und unfreundlich. Wir hatten eine Reservierung mit 9 Personen und fragten lediglich ob wir 2 unserer Jacken am Tisch lassen könnten, weil Wertsachen in den Jacken waren. Der Chef ist sofort ohne mit uns wie mit Menschen zu sprechen, ausfallend geworden, meinte wir sollten zum Bingöl Döner gehen, da würden wir hingehören, weil wir uns sein Essen eh nicht leisten könnten (Reservierung für 9 Personen) er sei nicht auf unser Geld angewiesen was unsere Reservierung reinbringt interessiert ihn nicht, wenn wir die Jacken nicht an die Garderobe hängen. Die Art und Weise, auch sofort ausfallend und respektlos zu werden ist für mich weder professionell, noch hat es mit angenehmer Dienstleistung zu tun, noch mit Führung eines Unternehmens, wer so mit Gästen umgeht wegen JACKEN! da will ich nicht wissen, was im Bralo hinter den Kulissen abgeht. DAS ist kein Restaurant zum Empfehlen, man beachte die hier immer wiederkehrenden selben Schilderungen über den Service und den Chef, das ist kein Zufall! Gutes Essen gibt es auch in anderen Restaurants, man sollte sich eher fragen ob man solchem Wesenstyp von Mensch überhaupt sein Geld geben möchte und dafür freiwillig bezahlt… Auch die zum Schluss nur erwünschte Barzahlung sollte man mal hinterfragen warum …

I wanted to eat something alone and couldn't choose a place. I wasn't allowed to keep my wardrobe with me. When I asked, I was told that your laws are against it. I left this house grateful.

What an experience in terms of service and food. I've never eaten such a good fillet. The service 1+. We were 8 people and had a wonderful evening. Thank you very much for everything. We'll be back.

Luckily there are other restaurants... We made a reservation a few days ago, 7:30 p.m. for 7 people. We got there a little early and politely asked if our table was already free. I have never experienced such an unfriendly employee (or boss) in a restaurant. You can also explain in a normal tone that the table is unfortunately not free yet…. We did not consider the explanation that you are on time at the bank to be helpful. In the end we were denied hospitality, which was certainly annoying at the moment, but we still had an excellent meal, just not at Bralo House. This restaurant is not a recommendation for the city of Magdeburg, one star is still too much!

An absolute no-go... Not because the food doesn't taste good, quite the opposite. But first of all, it was in poor taste to still open the doors to guests at the mourning ceremony yesterday on Cathedral Square because of the attack on the Christmas market... and then I was personally denied access to the toilet, even though I had my wallet in my hand and of course would have paid for it too. It was the owner himself who actually blocked me from going in an absolutely arrogant, condescending manner. I hope your store goes bankrupt... We really enjoyed going there and it was always delicious and actually everyone was friendly, but the number... It doesn't work at all!

We had reserved for 15 people. Unfortunately, 4 people canceled 5 minutes in advance. When we arrived I immediately mentioned that there would be 4 people less, which didn't go down well. I was asked straight away whether they were unable to call, I explained the situation to him and apologized. I had my 11 year old son with me who was very scared. The actual waiter apologized to us, but the boss continued to complain. In response to his comment, I told him that he was now at least €200 short and that he was welcome to take our remaining four places. Then they just said no! To eat: it was ok, but unfortunately the meat was brought to the table undercooked. We won't be coming back!

Unfassbar unfreundlicher Empfang: wir waren 10 Minuten zu früh und wurden des Restaurants verwiesen. Bei erneutem Eintritt zur exakten Reservierungszeit sprach man uns das Gastrecht ab. Na das braucht kein Mensch!!! Ganz und gar nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Dieses Restaurant ist auf keinem Fall zu empfehlen. So einen unfreundlichen Chef habe ich noch nie erlebt. Er spielt sich auf, als wenn er der liebe Gott wäre und die Gäste müssten ja dankbar sein, wenn sie zu ihm kommen dürfen. Für die Benutzung der Toilette verlangt er tatsächlich 5 Euro, 2€ wären ihm zu wenig, mit der Begründung, er hätte noble Toiletten. Und meine Beschwerde könnte ich mir sonstwohin stecken (wörtlich). Dieses Restaurant ist kein gutes Aushängeschild für Magdeburg noch dazu in dieser Lage am Dom.

Titel: Unfreundlicher Service und unangenehme Atmosphäre Ich kann das Bralo Steakhaus in Magdeburg leider nicht empfehlen. Mein Besuch dort war von einer sehr unangenehmen Erfahrung geprägt. Der Chef hat grundlos einen sehr unfreundlichen Umgangston an den Tag gelegt. Als mein Bekannter sein Brot aß, wollte er seine Suppe abstellen und wurde sofort patzig. Auf seine Nachfrage, warum er so unfreundlich sei, hat er richtig ausgeteilt und uns gesagt, dass wir ihm egal seien und er gerne auf uns verzichten könne. Er betonte, dass er der Chef sei und mit seinen 54 Jahren wisse, wie man bedient – was sich in seinem Verhalten allerdings nicht widerspiegelt. Dann hatte er sich zum Glück in Luft aufgelöst und man konnte den erlebten Vorfall etwas verdrängen. Eigentlich fühlte man sich, wie in einem falschen Film oder als Auserwählten bei "Verstehen sie Spaß". Aber nein, es geschah wirklich, echt noch nie erlebt so. Das Personal wirkte ohne die Anwesenheit des cholerischen Chefs auch etwas entspannter. Dennoch kommen wir sicher nicht wieder, vielleicht sollte man mal an die Zeitung schreiben... Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall Herr Braaaalo... da gehen wir viel lieber zum Griechen Laut Ihrer Empfehlung Ich wünsche dem Restaurant einige Besuche von Restaurantkritikern, die sich vielleicht auch mit Jacken am Platz sehen lassen. Vielleicht lernen sie dann, dass ein freundlicher Umgang mit den Gästen doch das A und O ist. Die Atmosphäre war alles andere als einladend und wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen.... und Tschüss (Ein Stern ist immernoch einer zu viel für so viel Diktatur am Gast)

I've definitely been there 20 times in 2024, always worth a trip. Super nice staff and excellent food in Magdeburg. Try the truffle pasta with the fillet :)

The boss had a very unfriendly tone for no reason. When my friend was eating his bread, he tried to put down his soup and immediately became rude. When we asked why he was so unfriendly, he really responded and told us that he didn't care about us and that he could happily do without us. He emphasized that he was the boss and, at 54 years old, knew how to serve - but this was not reflected in his behavior. We felt like we were being dictated to as guests. Then, fortunately, it vanished into thin air and the incident was somewhat suppressed. Actually, you felt like you were in a fake movie or like you were the chosen one in “Do you understand fun?” But no, it really, really happened like that. The staff also seemed a little more relaxed without the presence of the choleric boss. Nevertheless, we certainly won't be coming back, maybe we should write to the newspaper... Pride comes before a fall, Mr. Braaaalo... we'd much rather go to the Greek restaurant according to your recommendation I wish the restaurant a few visits from restaurant critics, who might also be seen wearing jackets. Unfortunately I can only and will only rate the service. If you are looking for a restaurant with friendly and professional staff, you are completely out of place here. It's my birthday today and my wife wanted to have lunch with our son and his girlfriend. She ordered a table for 4 people. Shortly before we wanted to go in, the information came that my son's girlfriend was a few minutes late and we should go in already. The very bad-looking staff (there were three of us) welcomed us like lepers!!! The usher (or whatever) said there were three of us and we only got a table for three...We told him (we were still standing) that the fourth person would be coming soon. He then said that since we had ordered a table for four people, we also had to pay for food for four people, regardless of whether the fourth person came or not. My first thought was that he was having fun, but his aggressive behavior and the killing look told me that he meant it ???? The restaurant wasn't empty at the time!!!! The guy also spoke very loudly so that we had the guests' complete attention. I then said to my wife (we were still standing) that this is getting too stupid for me, let's go. Then the staff loudly said, “You’re stupid.” I said "excuse me?". He again “You are stupid”. Then I just said, how do you actually talk to guests???? I've been living in Magdeburg for 64 years and have traveled a lot around the world, but I've never experienced such an incompetent waiter (or whatever they call it)!!!! I can only advise everyone not to visit this location. Due to the good location, the employees have become so arrogant that they can even tell the guests that they are "stupid". Once and never again. A Magdeburger who is horrified!!!!

On November 23rd, 2024 we were expelled from the restaurant in an indescribably rude manner because we could only show up with 3 people instead of the 4 people we had reserved. Reason: immense economic damage...

Then he replied that he doesn't have anything free anymore. I would like the store to be properly dusted. Service above all else.

If you are looking for a pleasant dining experience with good service, I strongly advise you not to visit Bralo House. We wanted to go out to eat there, but that didn't even happen. Even the reception didn't seem professional, almost as if I was dealing with beginners in the catering industry. There was a lack of basic courtesy that makes guests feel welcome. No matter how appealing the ambience and the menu are, without respectful service a restaurant loses all appeal for me. I can and will only rate the service.
