We ate there yesterday and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the mango sauce. It was something different. The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices were also completely reasonable. It was a completely successful evening. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be back. 😊

It's not a luxury restaurant, but... Friendly and attentive service, and you can also sit outside. Overall, we give it 5 stars for the good value. We would go again.

Although there were many guests there, we felt warmly welcome from the first moment. A quick look from the host and we were able to choose a spot that suited us. When the food was served we were assured that the food was as ordered - gluten free. The food and prices are really good, the service is very attentive and friendly. Thank you for the lovely evening. A very small tip: Renew the menu in the display case at the entrance to the parking lot. That almost stopped us from going in. That would have been a real shame.

Extremely nice waiter and super delicious food. The meat was - as always - super tender and something really special. At the end there was a mango lassi and schnapps on the house. We always enjoy going here! The whole family was thrilled by the variety and quality. The Al Gaucho definitely deserves its 5 stars PLUS! 🫶 PS: I had a very nice birthday there 🎂 🥳 and can only recommend the restaurant!

The two of us had lunch at El Gaucho today. I had reserved a table in advance. I really have to say, the food was excellent as was the service. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. We would definitely like to come back.

Today, May 7th, 2024, I ate here for the first time with my husband on the recommendation of the Mercure Hotel. We were positively surprised by the good service and the good food. Salad to put together yourself from the buffet - as desired with the spices provided and the dressing as a topping. Cocktails are freshly prepared. Of course there is good tap beer available. The service is very accommodating. Simply a well-rounded affair and a successful evening. Highly recommended and we would love to come back. Separate room for events, terrace and offer party service. Full marks!

I have been a guest at El Gaucho for many years. Nothing has changed to this day, the quality of the food is excellent and the current one is more than justified. Not to mention the service, the boss is still just warm, nice and accommodating. Always my pleasure.

We've been enjoying coming here for dinner once a year for several years now. We got to know it through the hotel that belongs to El Gaucho We like the food, the ambience and the waiter is very polite!!! We were there for lunch for the first time and were not disappointed!!!!

Food extremely salty, especially fries, not edible. In addition, the prices posted at the entrance are misleading. What (No.88) was signposted for €16.90 cost €22.90 inside, i.e. 35% more expensive. When I pointed out the error, they conveniently explained that the sign at the entrance was outdated and charged the higher price. Pure fraud. So never again.

We were 17 people for a birthday. It was great. From the food to the drinks and service. It was really great. I had three kinds of meat with rice. It was beautifully cooked. In my environment, the steak was cooked exactly medium. The fried potatoes passed my father's test - that's saying something. Highly recommended. We'll definitely go there again.

We celebrated a big birthday and all the food arrived at the same time and hot! There was free dessert and a surprise for the birthday child. The staff is super friendly. An absolute recommendation!

A warm welcome, a large, reserved table and an absolutely delicious selection of dishes, including a lunch menu! We five ladies were served charmingly and attentively, the ouzo was always refilled and the food was really great!!!! An absolute recommendation!!!

We ate there as a family, it was busy, it was a bit hectic, the boss was tense but it was very tasty and we'll eat there again!

We had dinner there today. We only ordered an appetizer. Salad was canceled by the waiter because the kitchen couldn't make it. All that came was burnt garlic bread. The drinks only came after an eternity and only 4 out of 5 drinks.

It was incredibly clean, the window sills and ledges were dust-free, every chair & table & furniture was extremely clean, even the plants were trimmed, clean and there was no dry stuff on them 👍(mentioned in passing) We got a 4-course menu of salad, starter, main course and something to go with it. We had the meat platter 😋 everything was plentiful and above all, from the starter soup to the main course to the plate, everything was hot 👍 (I hate eating lukewarm or cold) And the final price wasn't overpriced for us, the price and performance was absolutely fine, better than expected ❗️❗️❗️ Yes, well, some of the furniture may be a bit old, but it's very clean and functional!!! We were here again after a week for a birthday party. Emanuel was again very attentive and active. All respect, as he also ran the day-to-day operations. The food including ouzo, lassi and ice cream for the children was again good and was served at the same time first for the three children and then for 8 adults. Good toilet facilities. Unfortunately there is no toilet suitable for disabled people. Points of criticism: Please update the online menu to current prices! Outdoor advertising needs to be renewed and the wheelchair ramp needs to be renovated. But we'd love to come back.

We were there on February 14th. the first time at El Gaucho. Of course we also made reservations in good time. (Yes, the restaurant was busy that day) The first thing I noticed was a table that was prepared for 5 people, even though it was only ordered for 4. Then we only got 2 menus, which was ok considering the number of guests. What I personally really disliked was the moment when the waiter came to the table and, without greeting us at all, asked us to order our drinks in a rather unfriendly manner. There wasn't even enough time to find out what was on offer, as there were only 2 menus for 4 people. Before the drinks arrived, we had to order the food, which tasted good and wasn't a disappointment. Unfortunately the service was terrible. It felt like an eternity until you were asked for more drinks, until the empty plates were cleared away, or whether you would like dessert. A drink that was ordered twice was not served at all. In conclusion, I can say that the food there is delicious, the prices are acceptable, but the service is a complete disaster.

Friendly staff, food was delicious

The taste of the food was okay. Steak wasn't medium rare, lots of ready-made products like the potato rosettes or the tzatziki. Baked banana was not in batter but breaded with a lettuce leaf as decoration. However, the Ipanema and Coconut Beach drinks were delicious. Service wasn't that great. You felt like you were on an assembly line and there were also long waiting times. Everything is a bit half-hearted. We got too many mango lassi. 2 per person. Of course I said this when I paid, he was then very friendly and apologized and asked me not to give a bad review. This review is not bad but honest. We weren't quite as satisfied. Maybe it will be better another time :)

We had lunch. I wanted to taste the specialties. Was excited. Unfortunately I only found the meat on the plate after searching. Reason: There was so much sauce on the plate with a high edge that you couldn't see the meat. It was literally drowned in this lake of sauce. Even after fishing out of the sauce lake, you couldn't see, let alone taste, what kind of meat it was. What was crocodile, kangaroo, ostrich? It was all just gravy. Conclusion: not recommended.

An all-round successful evening! My girlfriend and I spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant today. The food was not only delicious but also plentiful. We started with a tasty soup, followed by a salad from the buffet (one was enough for us as there were so many delicious things waiting for us). The highlight was the huge meat platter, which was cooked to perfection. The crowning finale was a delicious dessert in a glass. We were particularly impressed by the owner's hospitality. He was incredibly friendly, attentive and always tried to make us feel comfortable. As a nice gesture, there were even several ouzos - a great rounding off of the experience. The fresh bread with the delicious dips was also a pleasure. After this fantastic 4-course meal, we were not only full, but also completely satisfied. A real feel-good restaurant that we can recommend without reservation!

First of all, many thanks to the good man who served us, I can't even use the word "waiter", it was more of a professional one Butler, invisible but always present, the outerwear was accepted upon entry, as well as umbrellas, and the menu was explained very well. Let's get to the food itself, salmon, crocodile, ostrich, kangaroo and beef fillet were great in terms of quality, everyone had something different, only I had the mixed pan and the saffron sauce was really brilliant. Prices, it's best not to say anything, but 250 g of beef fillet for just under 20 euros... that can't be topped. As promised, we'll be back 👍☺️👌

What else can you say? Absolutely perfect, great that restaurants like this still exist! You receive a friendly welcome, the atmosphere is inviting and immediately puts you in a good mood. The menu is very diverse and all main courses include a salad bar. Everything there is fresh and tasty with a good selection of dressings and spice mixes. At the start there is also an ouzo. The selection of drinks is also extensive and of solid quality, especially the wines. The meat in the main courses is of high quality and grilled to perfection. Afterwards there is another ouzo and a fresh mango lassi. All in all, an absolutely successful evening with great service. No wonder that the Gaucho has been delighting guests in Magdeburg since 2002! Top!

The older gentleman who waited tables was great. The food was half the size of the last time I was there and €7 more expensive. The quality was still there.

Despite all the circumstances of yesterday, we received a very warm welcome here. The waiter was so wonderful and made us feel so comfortable. We enjoyed spending our Christmas dinner here! For 4 people we paid a total of €126 including food, all drinks and starters. We felt very comfortable here and can only recommend a visit here to everyone, we have never been welcomed so warmly. We wish the restaurant a merry Christmas, hope you will be open for a long time and will always be happy to welcome us!❤️

Reservations can be made relatively spontaneously, even with a table of 10. Cocktails are outstanding. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the food. All in all, including the friendly staff, nothing to complain about. Can only recommend it

Unfortunately, the prices on the website are no longer correct at all. Need to be revised. My dish was missing 2 sauces. Even after a reminder they were not delivered. The food could have been hotter. I won't come back. So bread and 2 dips were not free. I understand that the prices are getting more expensive then they should still be up to date on the website.

I was served immediately. The food and drinks were excellent. Every request has been catered for. And when I ordered, a waiting time of 30-45 minutes for the main course was absolutely reasonable. This time was absolutely sweetened for me with free schnapps and the salad bar and the main course was great. This restaurant is not cheap, but the price is more than reasonable for what is on offer. Because I almost forgot to write that there was dessert on the house. It may not always be the case, but I haven't been treated so well in a long time. Over and over again.
