We had some wine and olives. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Amazing to see a place again after 55 years and it is still there with most of the original interior, just cleaner and friendlier...

This Italian restaurant is lovely, it is perfect for a date Night due to its atmosphere and decor. We visited during the pasta week last winter. It looks like it is temporarily closed now, but hopefully it will re open again. We got pasta alla genovese, and a special pumpkin pasta. The porchetta pinsa is out of this world. They also have various wines to choose from.

We passed by and decided to go in because it was very beautiful inside. It turned out that it was a technical party in honor of the opening, which Tomorrow. But we were treated to wine and delicious chickpea paste 🖤

The portions are small, the prices are high. But the ambience and service make up for it.

Very, very nice and characteristic atmosphere. Very good dishes, large choice of wines. The staff were very nice and professional. Prices slightly higher than average but all more than justified!!!

Cash and card payment possible. Dogs are unlikely as the atmosphere is very small. Safely possible outside in summer. A place that I've walked past many times and the old bar just invites me to go in. Finally, as part of True Italian Pasta Week, we finally did it. The ambience promises what you see. Cute, cozy, rustic but still elegant. Soft lighting, great details and just plain fantastic. The language spoken is, of course, Italian. This makes special requests a little more difficult, but hand and foot talk is always possible. Unfortunately, perhaps even because of Italian Week, the service was not entirely reliable, slightly confusing (perhaps because of the language barrier) and forgetful. Some things we requested and ordered didn't arrive or arrived very late. And the shop wasn't full yet with 3 tables occupied (6 p.m.). That detracted from the experience a little but I don't want to give the whole thing a grade, I'd like to come again. The pasta, super simple, Italian but elegant. The wine was great and everything else was good. I'd love to come try it again.

Das Essen war gut, aber wir haben 1,5 Stunden warten müssen. Den Chef beim bezahlen freundlich darauf hingewiesen, haben wir uns anhören müssen daß die Deutschen keine Ahnung hätten, was es bedeutet daß Italiener immer alles frisch zubereiten würden. Nach 1,5 Stunden war das leider keine gute Reaktion.

Ein schönes italienisches Restaurant im Gewand einer Kitzkneipe, sehr gemütlich mit einer ausgezeichneten Küche. Das Personal und der Chef sind super nett und freundlich. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend.

Best Aperitivo in town. The most delicious Italian tapas you can find. It’s great that the owners of Vino&Basilico took over the location during Covid and kept its traditional flair.

Great Italian restaurant, with a local vibe and not touristic. It has quite modern cuisine and a nice variety of wines. The menu it's simple, with only few dishes, but all excellent and special. I actually like the fact that they don't offer only regular italian food and it looks like the Chef knows what he's doing. Moreover, the portions are very decent, I was expecting to be like in most fancy restaurants where the portions are quite small...but they are very generous. The cozy place and the atmosphere are wonderful and the service it's very friendly. I really recommend the place for a nice dinner date or a special occasion. Make sure you book a table in advance.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant, quite by accident, as we walked down Linienstraße on our way back to our hotel. We had just visited the monument "The Deserted Room" in Koppenplatz and it was immediately evening, and we, a bit whipped by the wind and a bit listening to the "voice of our stomach", were looking for a place where we could dine in peace. We had only arrived in Berlin for a few hours and the idea of resting and having dinner in a welcoming place made its way into us. The atmosphere that shone through the windows of the Bötzow-Privat seemed to us something like belonging to another time... and suadently attracted us. Dark wood paneling on the walls, lighted wax candles, soft lighting from lampshades near the windows, pleasant piano music in the background, fresh flowers on the small wooden tables. We found this to be the ideal place to dine. A menu, displayed in an elegant wrought iron showcase outside the restaurant and made up of traditional Italian dishes (reworked with a clear passion for the raw material and a high skill of the chef: believe us, we understood it later when we tasted them!) definitely convinced us to enter. Once inside, past the heavy and dark velvet curtains at the entrance, we were made to sit at one of the tables in front of one of the windows overlooking the traffic of Tucholskystraße. Two glasses of excellent Sauvignon (thank you very much to the waiter for suggesting this excellent wine with a fruity aroma) and the order of four "antipastini" helped create an evening that we confess we enjoyed every moment of it. In order not to leave you to your imagination, the courses were: - EGG BAKED AT 64° WITH CREAM OF POTATOES AND PECORINO. - PUMPKIN RATATUILLE WITH VERMOUTH SAUCE. - VEAL TARTAR WITH CELERY PURÉE. - SHRIMP TARTARE, YELLOW TOMATO, CRUNCHY BACON ...and to finish a CARROT CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESECAKE. Every small portion brought to us was perfect… two in particular amazed us: the egg with cream of potatoes and pecorino cheese and the veal tartare with celeriac purée. Truly remarkable! They were delicious with a combination of ingredients that we didn't know and that conquered our palate! In short, if you are looking for an intimate place where you can enjoy not only the cuisine and the service but also the person in front of you, this restaurant is a small microcosm that will allow this magic to happen.

An incredible experience as we had my wife's 50th birthday party there and they went the extra mile for sure. Food and service was amazing and the prices were pretty reasonable for the area and quality you got. It's tapas portions so please ask the staff for guidance as to how much to order as I have read a few reviews about their portions. Very authentische Italian food all beautifully prepared and oresented. Highly recommended.

War mal ein wirklich gutes Schnitzelrestaurant. Heute ein überteuerter Italiener mit winzigen Portionen. Es ist schade, dass die Rezensionen, die sich noch auf das Schnitzelrestaurant beziehen, immer noch in die Bewertung einfließen.

Tolle Location - Sehr gutes Essen - Service gut! Ich war während der Pasta Week im Bötzow-Privat zu Gast. Das Restaurant ist eine ehemalige deutsche Kneipe / Gaststätte und überzeugt direkt beim reinkommen durch die gemütliche und urige Atmosphäre. Man wird nach wenigen Augenblicken wartend am Eingang begrüßt und zum reservierten Tisch begleitet. In meinem Fall ein toller Platz am Fenster. Karten kamen prompt und auch die Bestellung wurde nach angemessener Zeit aufgenommen. Als Antipasti bestellte ich das Kabeljau Confit auf Blumenkohlcreme - sehr lecker und Fisch auf dem Punkt. Die Portion ist okay, preislich mit 7€ angemessen. Anschließend bestellte ich eins der Pasta-Week Gerichte: Lasagne mit Käsecreme. Sehr mächtig aber auch gut gewürzt und lecker! Dazu gab es noch ein Glas Aperol im Menu. Service war sehr freundlich - nach dem Essen musste man leider ein bisschen zu lange warten, das Restaurant war voll und Service definitiv an der Kapazitätsgrenze. Alles in allem ein gelungener Besuch in schöner Atmosphäre. Preis-Leistung stimmt!

Unterirdischer Service. Servicekraft ging lieber rauchen als Bestellungen aufzunehmen. Der Herr hinter der Bar war absolut desinteressiert. Irgendwann wurden wir gar nicht mehr bedient. Offensichtlich hat man es nicht nötig. Vorspeise und Hauptgericht kamen gleichzeitig. Die Speisen waren relativ geschmacklos. Salz und Pfeffer standen nicht auf dem Tisch, bis diese an den Tisch gebracht wurden, verging eine Ewigkeit. Also die Wahl kalt oder ungewürzt. Wir waren zweimal in diesem Restaurant. Zum ersten und zum letzten Mal.

They took half an hour to serve the starters and another half for the main course. We were 8-10 tables and none were eating at some moment. The best is the wine, the food is plain normal.

Von außen unscheinbar, von innen ein alter Geschäftsraum, die kleine Speisenkarte voller origineller Ideen. Ich bin durch Zufall hier gelandet und ich bin begeistert. Das italienisch angelegte Essen ist sehr einfallsreich, im Detail besonders und macht das Essen zum Erlebnis. Freundlicher Service rundet das ganze ab. Etwas seltsam war der komplette Verzicht auf Salat, das habe ich so noch nie gesehen. Jederzeit wieder.

Not so great not so bad, I had an aperol spritz not the best one I should say. I ordered a big plate of burratta, it tasted good but a very small quantity I would say. If you are going out with friends who like to eat more this is not the place but if you want to drink a lot and then eat something, this could be your go to place. The menu is very different from other Italian places. There's definitely some innovation. The best thing I tasted was chicken liver with caramelized onions. Remember to ask for salt and pepper when your food comes.

Ich war hier dreimal essen, zu drei verschiedenen Zeitpunkten und drei unterschiedlichen Saisonalen Karten und jedesmal war ich beeindruckt von der Vielfalt der Gerichte und den Unterschiedlichen Geschmäckern und Umsetzungen der italienischen Küche, neu interpretiert. Die gemischten Vorspeisen sind unglaublich gut und lohnen sich absolut, da man sich einmal durch die Karte probieren kann. Die Weinselektion ist hervorragend und das Personal sowie der Besitzer des Ladens super zuvorkommend und sehr entspannt. Ich habe vor noch viele weiter Male hier essen zu gehen und mich von dem Essen beeindrucken zu lassen. Schwere Empfehlung!

Wir hatten gemischte Tapas, die auf einem hohen Niveau zubereitet und präsentiert wurden. Den Preis halte ich für durchaus angemessen. Umfangreiche Weinkarte. Der offene Wein (weiß) war nicht hinreichend gekühlt. Ein Kellner unaufmerksam (Bestellung des zweiten Glas Weins wurde vergessen). Internationales Publikum.

War mal ein deutsches Restaurant mit tollem Schweineschnitzel vom „Berliner Apfelschwein“, bezogen von einer Havelländer Bio Fleischmanufaktur; 10/10. Während Corona geschlossen und jetzt im selben Berliner Kneipenflair als Italiener wiedereröffnet, unpassender geht es wohl kaum. Das tue ich mir sicherlich nicht an. Eine Frechheit dass Google es dem Betreiber ermöglicht die alten Bewertungen, die ja für ein vollkommen anderes Konzept abgegeben wurden, weiterhin zu nutzen.

Nice & cosy Italian tapas restaurant in a small old tavern-like decorated place. Big wooden walls sculpted will make you feel like in a old pub but the tapas are very good and tasty. Price isn't cheap but it's worth it. Wines were good as well. Especially recommend the eggplant stuffed with cheese and tomato : amazing!

Haven taken over one of the oldest bars in Berlin, my expectations of the venue were not disappointed. The menu offers Italian tapas, that sounded like heaven on a plate - you can order 7 plates (chosen by the chef) of Italy's finest. What arrived was a confused, concoction of mismatched dishes. some of the flavour combinations were sublime, but overall the dishes were over thought and missed the point of Italian cuisine...beautifully fresh product, simple exquisite combinations. I reluctantly write this, as the chef clearly has heart and love for his dishes, but they just miss the mark. With a slight re-think, a bit of a more relaxed approach to the menu I would be there every night.

Wir waren im Rahmen des Italien Food Festivals dort. Der Aperol war sehr dünn mit recht viel Eis. Dazu gab es nicht wie angegeben frittierte Sardellen, sondern 1x Fleischbällchen, für sage und schreibe 8€. Zudem haben wir dann noch eine große Portion Kartoffelecken bestellt für 8.5€, hierbei hat es sich um 4 eher klein geratene Eckchen gehandelt. Auf Nachfrage, ob wir aus Versehen die kleine Portion bekommen haben, teilte man uns mit, dass die kleine Portion nur 2 Stück beinhalte (Preis 4.5€). Fazit: nettes Ambiente aber kein weiterer Besuch wert

Wir waren zum True Italian Food Festival hier und wurden leider kläglich enttäuscht. Laut Karte sollte es "Mit Paniermehl, Pecorino und Minze panierte frittierte Sardellen, begleitet von Zitronenmayonnaise (vegetarische Variante verfügbar) + Aperol Spritz" geben. Als wir nach der vegetarischen Variante gefragt haben, wurden wir verdutzt angeschaut und uns wurde gesagt das es so etwas bei Ihnen nicht gibt. Nach dieser Reaktion und der vorher unfreundlichen Begrüßung hätten wir eigentlich schon gehen müssen, haben dem Restaurant aber wegen seinen guten Bewertungen eine Chance gegeben. Auf dem Bild kann man die "Bestellung" sehen, einen Aperol Spritz der bis zum Rand mit Eiswürfeln gefüllt war und 3 kleine Sardellen. Zwei Scheiben trockenes Brot gab es auch noch, allerdings blieb die Zitronenmayonnaise wie es in der Karte stand, trotz Nachfrage, aus. "Zitronenmayonnaise haben wir nicht!" hieß es. Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste True Italian Food Festival Erlebnis!

Nettes kleines Restaurant. Wir waren von 17.00-19.00 Uhr alleine, bis auf Freunde der Angestellten. Das war irgendwie schade und hat sich natürlich auch gefühlt auf die Motivation der Bedienung niedergeschlagen...Lasagne und Gnocci mit Pilzen waren lecker. Portionen hätten etwas größer sein können.

Great food, service and wine in a nice atmosphere. The concept is Italian tapas but you can also order larger portions. We had the surprise tapas together. That was very nice!

It’s a nice and cosy place. The Italian lady very kind and good service minded. And the food was great. Fine dining with all kind of great tastes put together. We had the surprise menu. Enough for the two of us. With a tastfull bottle of red wine, Montepulciano Abruzzo. Great value for money all together!

Einen Stern Abzug für die viel zu enge Bestuhlung im Innenbereich, ansonsten top. Neue Rezension: Nach dem Bewirtschaftungswechsel muss ich meine gute Meinung leider revidieren. Wir haben die Karte, die Leute und die Anrichtung der Speisen gesehen und sind sofort wieder geflüchtet. Die Tische sind winzig und es schien, dass das Wichtigste war, diese Tische mit unnötigem Geschirr und Firlefanz vollzustellen, während auf dem Geschirr möglichst wenig Essen liegt. Nee danke.

Used to be a great bar; now a disappointing restaurant, but still a cool space to see

Das Essen hat super geschmeckt. Es gibt italienische Tapas. Leider waren meine Hackfleischbällchen in Tomatensauce roh. 10 Minuten auf eine der 3 Servicekräfte für ca 12 Tische gewartet- leider konnte ich von keiner die Aufmerksamkeit erhaschen. Also rein an die Bar "oh die sind total roh. Wo sitzen Sie? Bringen wir neu". Mh okay. Wir bestellen in der Zeit Wein und Tapas nach, dann kamen auch die neuen Hackfleischbällchen - haben super geschmeckt. Das war es dann aber mit Services. Keine Wiedergutmachung, nur die Erklärung dass ja 5 Bestellungen auf einmal kamen und es deshalb sehr stressig war. Services wird leider nicht gelebt und trotz super Essen weiß ich nicht, ob ich nochmal wiederkommen möchte.

Bötzow Privat er et fantastisk sted at starten sin aften ud ved. Et rigtig godt glas vin eller Aperol. Her smelter den autentiske italienske charme og kultur sammen med det typiske berlinske "Kneipe" Når man kommer gående udstråler stedet ikke Italien, men tag ikke fejl. Loreano Mura's søn Mattia Mura er chef på restauranten. Og han laver nogle fantastiske autentiske italienske tapasretter. Enkelte kan også fås som hovedretter, hvis man er til det. Italiensk personale og en rigtigt dygtig og venlig vintjener. Så starter aftenen godt. Måske videre med til Vino e Basilico?

Very very nice Service and even more authentic atmosphere. The food is extremely well chosen and has a huge variety taste wise!! Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or whenever want great food and wine.

Fuimos el jueves por casualidad para tomar algo. Los platos se veían ricos, así que el viernes fuimos a cenar y pedimos la pirámide. Nos encantó, son tapas italianas, diferentes sabores y texturas. El personal es muy agradable. Volvería!

Great Sicilian wine and very friendly staff!

Sehr teuer (18€ für einen kleinen Teller Gulasch) und für meinen Geschmack sehr dunkel in Restaurant. Auch wären gemütliche Sitzplätze (nicht nur Holzstühle & Bänke ohne Kissen) angebracht. Service war nett. Insgesamt: einmal und nicht wieder.

Schnitzel war gut aber etwas teurer, das dunkle empfand ich als zu süß. Atmosphäre sehr angenehm.

This pub/restaurant just has a very nice & friendly feel to it. Lots of smiles & a general warmth cast their spell the moment you walk in. Yodas (likely to be spelt wrong) looked after us really well with his bonne humeur. A very friendly chap! Schnitzel was tasty and the choice of beers ticked all the right boxes. The menu does not have many choices but you're only ever going to eat one dish at a time so that's just fine by me! The one Veggie dish is the Kasespatzle.

Das Bötzow-Privat hat durchaus Charme. Rustikal, aber dennoch chic. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Preislich würde ich sagen kein Schnapper, aber auch nicht übertrieben teuer. Man könnte sagen der Lage des Lokals angepasst. Das Essen hat mich allerdings nicht überzeugt. Ich finde es zwar super, das anscheinend regionale Produkte verwendet werden, aber die Frikadellen waren mir einfach zu trocken. Das Wiener Schnitzel meiner Kollegen sah allerdings super aus. Generell möchte ich betonen, dass niemand sonst etwas am Essen auszusetzen hatte. Hatte also vermutlich einfach Pech. Ich würde auf jeden Fall dort nochmal ein Bierchen trinken und ggf. dem Schnitzel eine Chance geben!

1. Beide Kellner sprechen nur ein paar Worte Deutsch. Komisch, dass man mitten in Berlin sein Bier auf Englisch bestellen muss. 2. Essen war gut aber vergleichsweise teuer, auch die Getränke waren eher überdurchschnittlich teuer. 3. Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht.

Confortevole! Cibo ottimo e personale gentile! Yes!

This is a tiny little "corner bar" kind of place, but the food is good, the service is great, and the prices quite reasonable. Other reviews suggest it's busy, but we walked in with a party of 8 on a Thursday and were seated at the table in the back with no trouble. Beginner's luck?

Wenig Auswahl aber sehr gutes Sssen.

A cosy environment and we were happy to get a table since it was really booked and seemed to be highly rated. It was a v small menu so we assumed everything must be cooked really well. However, portions were really quite small. I was looking forward to käsespätzle but in fact there was almost no taste of cheese and the “crispy” onions were soft like they’d been cooked for a while. My husband enjoyed his meatballs and the drinks were nice, but for the price, I was kind of disappointed that my indulgent dish was quite tasteless.

Als Arbeitgeber das Allerletzte. Kündigt Mitarbeiter ohne diesen zu informieren und lässt ihn weiterhin arbeiten, obwohl kein Versicherungsschutz mehr besteht!!! VORSICHT IST HIER GEBOTEN!!!
