Botanista Café Club in München

Our friends found this pace and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of options for those following a vegan diet and those that are gluten free. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

We came because of the impressive menu; it's a small, cozy café. The service was quick but curt and rather disinterested throughout our visit. They were clearly stingy with ingredients like avocado, and the waffles were very meager. The food looks delicious and is generally tasty. However, it's not good value for money.

The Pink Surfer waffle tasted great. The Greek scrambled eggs were also good. What was a bit more tiring than expected was the wooden swing; the concept is cool in theory, but not comfortable for sitting on for hours…

A rather pretty place, but definitely make a reservation; it gets packed on weekends. Unfortunately, none of the dishes impressed us. The acai and lassi bowls and the smoothies were very warm, which was a real shame. Everything looked very nicely presented, though. The service was very friendly and, despite the hustle and bustle, they were quick and efficient.

Singles aren't welcome here! I was here alone today and was told I had to reserve online or I wouldn't get a spot. Now I wanted to reserve online for tomorrow: it says you can only do so for two or more people. Conclusion: Singles are discriminated against!

We managed to get a table without a reservation on a busy Sunday morning. The staff was incredibly friendly, and despite the crowd, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Our chai latte and food were delicious, and they also sell lovely mugs and other items there.

The food was good; however, the customer service was disappointing. The staff had a poor attitude, didn’t provide a bany high chair when requested, and responded in an unfriendly manner. We didn’t feel comfortable during our visit and weren’t sure if it was because we were wearing scarves or because we had babies with us.

We are Americans and had a hard time finding a place that served mimosas in Munich. I’m so happy to find this café. We had good service and great food and the mimosas were so fresh and amazing. Our serve Lisa was lovely.

We were there as a group. Despite asking, the server took an hour to take our food order. The food itself was lukewarm, there wasn't enough of it, and it didn't taste good enough. We won't be coming back. The good reviews probably come from the nice decor, but I wouldn't recommend the food.

I visited this café today and received very attentive service. The young, friendly woman named Minh Ha provided excellent service and made me feel truly valued. She inquired about our well-being and was very attentive to our needs; she is an incredibly warm and lovely person. The café itself and its ambiance are already very welcoming, but with staff like Minh Ha, I'm even more eager to return. This young woman deserves recognition.

The café is very charming and stylishly decorated. At lunchtime and in the evening, it was almost completely full – and I was glad I had reserved a seat – so it was quite noisy during peak hours. But once lunchtime was over and it got quieter, it was really lovely and pleasantly peaceful. The background music wasn't too loud. They offer very healthy food and drinks (no cola, for example). Attention all cash lovers: they only accept card/mobile payments (no cash). And my Mexican bowl was delicious! Great, we'll definitely be back. PS: Our team of four worked together on our computers, and we weren't alone. There were also power outlets under the benches.

The coffee is fine, but not outstanding. They are good for a German cafe, but they could improve (soy milk, a lighter roast and I cannot order a cortado). The server was quite lovely and accomodating, despite my difficult order. The food is impressive in quality but quite expensive, with limited basic options (I would have loved some basic toast options). I ended up having banana bread, which was very dry and fluffy (more like a cake). More of a restaurant vibe than a cafe to me. Still a great option if you are looking for a weekend brunch and have euros to spend and want high-quality food. The service was a stand out - one of the nicer experiences I have had in Münich. Admittedly I have marked them hard here - mainly because I am an Aussie and they are going for an Aussie cafe vibe (I think), but not quite nailing it.

The place definitely has the look—beautiful decor, both inside and out. Rustic walls, hanging lights, greenery everywhere… it’s charming, cozy, and made for Instagram. The outdoor seating is especially cute under the leafy canopy, and everything is plated like a mini work of art. But unfortunately, that’s where the positives end for me. The food looked amazing, but had almost no flavor. My mimosa was probably the worst I’ve ever had. We had to ask three times to clean the table they offered us before someone finally came over. The wait for food was long, which I can understand on a Sunday brunch, but the overall service was inattentive and a bit chaotic. If you’re going just for the aesthetic, it might be worth a visit. But if you’re actually hungry or looking for a good brunch experience, I’d say keep walking. Side note: I was surprised to see that my original review was removed after being flagged as “defamatory.” It took me almost a month to have it reinstated. I find it worrying that some honest, less-positive reviews may not stay visible as easily as glowing ones. I hope Google continues to protect real customer experiences — both good and bad — so people can make truly informed choices.

From arrival to departure, I felt truly well taken care of. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was there alone for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The pumpkin flatbread not only filled me up but also made me very happy. I'm planning a visit for breakfast soon, and I'm sure it will be at least as good.

Had a nice oat vanilla matcha and apple cake (vg). There’s vegan options on the menu including protein shakes and cakes. It can get quite busy at night so reservations are recommended. They forgot to bring half of the order and then it took forever to get their attention, the staff were just all very busy as the place was full.

came here because good reviews. cozy café but the food and service is just not it. other staffs were nice but the one the served me was not that friendly. i felt unwelcome. i ordered smoothie but still came with ice cubes, spilled dirty glass and didnt look so presentable. (i saw a table next to me order the same one so i know it was totally different from mine) later i asked for a glass of tap water. the water wasn't clean. there were a little black thingy in my water. it was noticeable. just to be clear, i'm asian so it might have something to do with the service :) i read 1 star reviews on here and people that is not from germany some also get treated poorly. i still tip 10% but just need to write a review because i'm quite disappointed.

A terribly uncomfortable café. We were sitting in the draft, with the door constantly open, and I was repeatedly hit in the back by the staff door from the storeroom. The banana bread was extremely dry. I won't be coming back.

I don't usually write reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to. Unfortunately, my visit to this café was by far the most disappointing brunch I've experienced in Munich. One of the servers was remarkably unfriendly to guests without reservations. We witnessed her speaking to other guests inappropriately on several occasions. I'm only giving it two stars because the other staff members were friendly and tried their best. Perhaps it would be beneficial for the staff to reflect internally on their standards for customer service and how these standards are upheld. The food and coffee were also not up to expectations.

The acai bowl was unfortunately terrible. Paying €13 for runny mush with a few berries and a bit of granola is really outrageous. What a shame!

Unfortunately, I didn't like the waffle at all, but the bread and other things my companions ate were delicious.

A truly great cafe. I think the decor is really beautiful; the ambiance is simply something different and exudes a special atmosphere. The food was excellent, fresh, and really very good. It's just a little noisy, but overall, highly recommended.

Service was total crap. Waited at “wait here” sign for 15 minutes. Hostess wasn’t particularly friendly. Several people went and just sat down in front of us and the people waiting behind us. We then waited over 10 minutes after being seated for the server to take our order AFTER two other parties that had just sat down. People that sat after us were finished eating before we even got our food. Food finally came and was completely cold. The porridge tasted good, but would’ve been better if it had been warm. Server was nice, but obviously needed more help around her. Ate outside on a somewhat busy Sunday; maybe inside is better, but we won’t be coming back to find out.

We were at Botanista today at lunchtime (Sunday). It wasn't super busy, but it wasn't empty either. The atmosphere was nice, very relaxed, and a cool ambiance. For dinner, we had a waffle and two omelette dishes. Unfortunately, both of the omelette dishes were relatively bland (vegan and Greek versions) and very small portions. Quite expensive for that. The waffle, however, was very tasty and a good portion. The service wasn't great either. We had to wait a long time for our food, even though, as I said, it wasn't very busy. After dinner, we ordered dessert: a cake, which was certainly not freshly made, and yet, after about 10 minutes of waiting, it still didn't arrive. We decided to skip it and left early. It's a bit of a shame, but it has potential.

The coffee, apple pie, and banana bread were delicious. We also enjoyed the ginger tea. So, the 3* rating isn't due to the food. Unfortunately, the service wasn't good. If you put out a sign outside telling you to wait there to be seated, you expect to be noticed. The waiters walked past us several times before they told us we could just sit outside. It took a while for our orders to even be taken. Just quickly enough before we would have simply left without ordering. Apparently, a few tables later had the same problem when paying, having to run after the two waiters to pay. The dishes on our coffee cup and plate were already chipped in some places, as you can see in the photo.

I was here with my girls – we really enjoyed it! From the cozy atmosphere to the delicious coffee and the delicious cinnamon roll, everything was simply perfect. We'd love to come back! ☕✨

The food was okay, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right. Two drinks, a bowl, and scrambled eggs with bread for €42 weren't worth it. The portions weren't large.

Contrary to what many other reviews describe, we found the service friendly and competent. However, we didn't think the value for money was particularly good; it was a typical hipster café. The acoustics were too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation, and it was way too hot! The bathroom/toilet was also just so-so and in need of a renovation.

The price-performance ratio was terrible! We paid €42 for two coffees, a bowl, and a loaf of bread with a poached egg. The egg was cold and the bowl had almost no toppings. Nobody even got full. It's really not good for the price. The service seemed annoyed and became even more rude when half the table decided not to tip. Tips can only be set between 10%, 15%, and 20%. Furthermore, we weren't able to reserve a table because no one answered even after calling several times. The selection was large, but everyone at the table agreed that the drinks and food were very bland. €20 less and at least the value for money would have been good :( I like to spend money on good food, but this was definitely not the case.

I had the Snickers waffle, and while it looked good, it was quite dry and bland in taste. Bitter chocolate spread, peanut butter as usual, and peanuts as a crunchy topping, combined with a protein waffle, weren't very convincing. My personal saving grace was the sauce that came in a small jar. This had a bit more flavor and sweetness. At our table, most of the food was lukewarm to cold, and unfortunately, the value for money was poor. A bit overpriced for the portions. The ambiance was very nice, and the service wasn't rude.

I rarely take the time to write a negative review, but this was so disappointing that I couldn't help it. Nice atmosphere – but that's about it, unfortunately. The service is inattentive, the employees seem rather self-absorbed. It almost feels like a meeting place for friends or students. The cappuccino was bad, the bread cold and bland – simply poorly presented. Only card payments are accepted, and overall, it's far too expensive for what you get.

I came in this morning at 11. The employee outside treated me rudely. She spoke to me but did not pay attention to me. I think she treated me racist because I wear a hijab.

We spontaneously stopped by the café for brunch. We had a matcha latte and a red velvet latte, both of which were quite okay, although the matcha was almost too strong. We waited about 20 minutes for our food: the Snickers waffle and the Ultimate Porridge. The porridge was very bland in flavor and cooled down quickly because the topping was very cold. They were generous with the fruit. The waffle was delicious: lots of peanut butter and melt-in-the-mouth dark chocolate. Of course, you really shouldn't expect anything sweet from either, since it's sugar-free and they don't use any other sweeteners. Both were very filling. Payment was only possible by card, and you MUST tip at least 10%, which I personally consider a disgrace. Everyone should be able to decide for themselves whether and how much to tip, especially when the prices are already high.

I booked table, asked for a window or nice corner. When I came they didn’t have reservation established. I said reservation for two and they looked which tables are free and said to sit. I book table a week before to have nice table location. If I want just randomly to choose I go without reservation. The food and drinks were fine.

This place and the atmosphere is very cosy. I love how they have decorated the place. However the staff was rather unfriendly and cold. Very limited options for lactose- and gluten intolerant individuals. The food we had was rather taste less. The matcha was not good at all. If food and staff would improve I would be able to give 5⭐️

We went to the store today and ordered a waffle. The food came on a broken plate, and later I noticed that the small bowl of sauce was also broken. I told the waitress it was broken, and she told me not to worry, it had been broken in the kitchen. I asked the waitress why they still served me the plate even though the kitchen saw it was broken. Unfortunately, neither the kitchen nor the front desk paid attention to such a serious problem. I ended up returning the food because I didn't know if there were any glasses in my food. When it was time to pay, I told the waitress I had returned my food, and she asked me if I wanted to pay for it. What should I pay for? A meal I didn't eat? I'm writing this review so you can improve and appreciate the money your customers give you a little more.

Probably due to high work load during Oktoberfest the service was very cold and impersonal. We ordered two toasts, waited for almost an hour thinking they were just busy and when we asked they said the order was marked as served and apologized. Brought the food to the table and then asked for a tip at the time of paying instead of offering at least the coffee for free for the inconveniences. I would probably not try it again. Toast was tasty but overpriced in my opinion.

Good food, drinks (homemade cinemas) were unfortunately a bit mediocre and not worth the price. We were there for a live music session, which was really nice.
