I spontaneously went there for dinner and was lucky that there was still a free table. It was a bit crowded at first, as you're close to your neighbor, but then I was offered another table. It took a while to get served, but then it was perfect. The waiter was very attentive and competent. The wine selection wasn't huge, but it was okay. It was worth ordering a bottle for me, as a 0.1l glass costs €9. The food was very good: good tagliolini with black truffles and a delicious, perfectly grilled 400g entrecôte (normally 200g) with béarnaise sauce, potato gratin, and roasted asparagus. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. I actually wanted to have fish, but the selection was too limited with just one dish, and I prefer sea fish to farmed trout. There wasn't much vegetarian food either. In the end, I was very satisfied and tipsy, and I spent €170, including tip. But you don't do that every day.

My girlfriend and I went to Salzkruste for the first time last night. In short: We were extremely impressed. From the appetizer to the main course to the dessert, everything was absolutely perfect for us! The prices were very reasonable considering the quality. The portion sizes were also just right for us – we tried the sharing concept. Therefore, the presentation of the main course here is not representative, as all the components were served in the middle of the table for sharing. Everything tasted very good as well. The salt crust concept won us over! Regarding the service: It's rare to find such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in upscale restaurants as here. That's a matter of taste, of course, but it was just right for us (judging by some reviews, some still seem to prefer a cold and distant atmosphere. We don't understand that). Furthermore, the service was very attentive and consistently professional. All in all, a great experience. We'd be happy to come back :) Overall

**Review for the Salzkruste restaurant in Munich** The day before yesterday I had the pleasure of spending a truly extraordinary evening at the Salzkruste restaurant in Munich. From start to finish, it was a culinary and gastronomic experience that I won't soon forget. The food was simply excellent. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful and with a wonderful crust that was a testament to the salt-crusting technique. The salmon trout was another highlight: fresh, tender and with a harmonious seasoning that brought out the taste of the fish perfectly. And then the curd dumplings – a real treat! Light, airy and with a delicious texture that I was completely delighted with. As for the slightly longer wait, it was noticeable due to the small kitchen, but it was more than made up for by the excellent service. Our waiter Christoph was a real enrichment for the evening. With his charming, attentive and humorous manner, he managed to shorten the waiting time and make us feel like we were being well looked after. He made the evening a wonderful experience. The restaurant's ambience is cozy and stylish at the same time, a perfect mix of modern design and traditional Bavarian hospitality. You immediately feel comfortable and can enjoy the evening to the fullest. All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Salzkruste restaurant. For anyone looking for excellent food, unique service and a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place. I will definitely be returning and am already looking forward to the next time!

We had our New Year's party in the salt crust for the second time in a row and rented the entire restaurant for ourselves. The food was outstandingly good, the variations had something for all tastes (meat, fish or vegetarian). The service was excellent, we felt very comfortable and were able to toast the New Year until the early hours of the morning. We love coming back every year!

I always enjoy coming to the salt crust. Yesterday we had a larger group with 9 people. Nevertheless, everything worked great. The food was great, Christoph from the service did an excellent job. The three-course meal was good overall. But the truffle pasta was too salty. We waited about 60 minutes for the main course, and it arrived lukewarm to very cold. But still delicious overall. For that price, you expect perfection.

Great atmosphere. The menu with tartare, coconut soup, beef tenderlion, camembert and cheese was absolutely harmonious with the right wine accompaniment. The service was very nice and accommodating. Very weird experience and if you look at my history of dining in the Munich city, you’ll know that I know my way around. My risotto was more like a porridge, in an over salted sauce, the fish was OK but for some reason was “diving” in the sauce that was not necessary because the juiciness and fish flavor was completely hidden. The whole concept I didn’t understand, given the fact couple of people recommended the place to me. Overpriced for the quality of what you’re getting. Not a single dish was great and worth coming. I am usually not very straightforward to the staff, but couldn’t be silent about the risotto when the waiter asked me why I didn’t touch the dish. My answer was: “the flavour is nice but the rice is too overcooked for my taste and I wouldn’t call the dish risotto” since you cannot even identify that this was rice, how overcooked it was. The answer was: “this is our style of cooking” 🫢 of course the service gets one star too, since they didn’t even try to change the dish or say that they are sorry. Besides that (I’m sorry if I’m completely incorrect) our waiter was high according to his appearance and reactions. Very sad picture overall.

Ambiance and service are very good. However, I think the prices are too high, e.g. 0.75 liter water bottle = EUR 7.50 or 3-course salmon menu = EUR 64.90 (small portions, nothing special in terms of taste, fish could have been cooked more). The service shows the meat in the salt crust, which can no longer be seen on the plate. Not suitable for vegans at all as there is cheese everywhere. There is a main course for vegetarians and the warm starters include, for example, a shrimp in the pumpkin soup. In general, the menu is kept small, which is okay if the food really tastes good - but it didn't convince me personally, it was just ok.

The food was spectacular, I don't know if I've ever had better meat. The dessert was a poem, the espresso was unusually delicious. The staff are charming, friendly and very entertaining, just perfect all around. The atmosphere is cozy and you can have a good chat. A real gem!

We had a very nice evening and the food was excellent. I had the best porcini mushrooms I have ever eaten. The fish and beef were also unbeatable. I would have liked more vegetables (as always), but unfortunately that's just the way it is. The meat or fish portion was (unexpectedly) very large. The only thing I had to complain about was that the tagliatelle stuck together. Maybe they were cooked a little too long. But the taste (wild garlic) was great. I didn't give the service 5 stars because I thought it was stupid that immediately after the aperitif (I just sipped it a bit) the starter with the accompanying wine came. The bread (with salt and oil), which other guests received much earlier, arrived shortly afterwards. We were served in a friendly and courteous manner. The wine pairing was great! Kudos to our waiter, who also chose the wine for each course. I wouldn't have been able to do it myself. The atmosphere was good, it's cozy inside. We sat outside, where unfortunately there was smoking. A guest came from inside and smoked his cigarette, the smoke wafting right over to us as we ate. A pity. Unfortunately there were also a few loud cars on the streets. All in all, an expensive evening, but worth every penny.

The food is absolutely amazing. Really high quality, you're happy to pay a few euros more! The service was also great! Very accommodating, friendly and you could really tell how much they enjoy their work. In general the visit was very relaxing. The volume was very pleasant, the music in the background also suited our taste and everything was so relaxed without being hectic, giving you a really relaxing feeling. An absolute recommendation!

Great food, good wine accompaniment and the service is also good. The prices are more than fair for the quality offered. One of the few restaurants in Munich where you won't be "processed" in 60-90 minutes. You take your time between courses and can spend a pleasant evening. Clear recommendation!

Upscale small restaurant serving up a limited but solid menu. The eponymous speciality here is baked fish / meat / vegetables in a salt covered crust which results in moist, tender and flavourful flesh. Starters and desserts are also decent and wine selection as well as the recommended choices are not bad. Prices are on the steeper side but I guess it’s Munich so good value for money is a rarity anyway.

Einen Tisch spontan zu reservieren ist eher schwierig, aber dafür ist die Freude immer um So größer, wenn’s dann doch mal klappt. Reservieren geht ganz einfach online. Kartenzahlung. Absolut Weltklasse essen. Das Salz spielt eine große Rolle und deshalb gibt es auch eine große Auswahl. Einfach beraten lassen und genießen. Vielen Dank

Das Essen war sehr gut, Fleisch perfekt. Die Pausen zwischen den Gängen waren zu lang. Für ein Lokal dieser Preisklasse war das Ambiente nicht ansprechend. Die Tische waren viel zu eng gestellt, so dass man von den Gesprächen der Nachbarn gestört wurde. Bei der Nachspeise wurde man nicht gefragt, ob man noch ein Espresso möchte. Während des Essens mussten wir auch den Wein nachfragen.

Das Essen war top! Bis in kleinste Detail. Das Brot und die Öle, Salze sind selbst gemacht und schon ein Highlight. Hübsch dekoriert sind alle qualitativ hochwertigen Gerichte, die auch mal aus nicht so "gängigen" Zutaten und interessanten Geschmackskombinationen bestehen. Ein kleines Manko wäre vielleicht, dass man an den Tischen relativ eingeengt sitzt und dass es etwas kalt ist, gerade wenn man im Eingangsbereich sitzt. Trotzdem ist es wirklich einen Besuch wert.

Tolles Restaurant mit guten Gerichten.

Eine ganz besondere Empfehlung. Wir waren hier zum Abendessen und waren rundum zufrieden. Das Essen (wir hatten das Fleisch Menü) war wirklich köstlich. Die Kellner waren sehr zuvorkommen und haben genau unseren Weingeschmack getroffen.

Liebevoll angerichtetes und sehr leckeres Essen in einer stilvollen Atmosphäre. Es war super Abend für unseren 4. Hochzeitstag. Bedienung war schnell und angenehm. Wir haben 4Gänge Menü einmal Fleisch, einmal Fisch bestellt. Rindertatar war so zart und mit allem schön harmonisiert. Hauptgang, von meinem persönlichen Geschmack mit Fleisch war bisschen besser. Mit dem Rosmarin - und Rauchsalz war es so köstlich. Der Preis ist fair ! Nur zum empfehlen:)

Danke für den Abend! Angefangen bei meinem Aperitiv, der genau meinen Geschmack traf (Bourbon & schwarztee), über das frische Brot mit Fenchel zum Start und den super netten Service, begann der Abend hervorragend. Ich hatte das Fleisch-Menü und war insbesondere vom Beef Tatar und selbstverständlich dem Fleisch aus der Salzkruste sehr angetan. Auch die Beilagen waren toll abgeschmeckt und absolut bissfest auf den Punkt. Komme sehr gerne wieder!
