Börde Café in Magdeburg

“Gorillas” no longer exist! Hence only one star. This object can be deleted from Google Maps. “Gorillas” and “Kartel” are incorrectly displayed next to each other on the menu, even though they are known to be one and the same cocktail bar.

The staff is friendly, but you should be prepared to wait as long to get a noodle box as in other stores for 2 menus

Kimbo Burg is a classic Asian all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, which also offers a "Mongolian grill" as an additional highlight. The ingredients in this part of the buffet are all fresh, as far as the guest can judge, and are prepared by friendly staff and then brought to the table. This is then done by a serving robot or the friendly staff. There are around 10 different types of fish, unfortunately not quite as many types of meat (zebra, crocodile, etc. are not available here). As great as the buffet for the "Mongolian Grill" is, there is a real negative point here. You can't have noodles fried. The rest of the buffet is well prepared and deliciously seasoned without using too much glutamate. As already mentioned, the staff is very friendly and tries to ensure the guest has a nice evening. There are also small party favors, such as a bottle of beer or a bag of gummy bears. It is positive to note that every few minutes an employee goes around to clear away empty plates and ask if everything is OK. The restaurant is centrally located in Magdeburg city center. Unfortunately, the facility is already getting old. The restaurant is clean, but there is clearly a modern feel here. The price-performance ratio is good, especially compared to another buffet restaurant in Magdeburg.

Ordered for the first time. Food was good. But I'm used to different quantities... but would order again.

Strolled through Börde Park when I felt a little hungry... We decided on the "Italian" (or so I thought). Well attended at lunchtime (probably by the lunch menu and regular guests, and of course also walk-in customers), we took a seat at the only table still available - where service was provided. Everything was clean, the staff consisted of one lady and two gentlemen. My companions chose spaghetti bolognese and pizza - and were satisfied. I went for Calzone - and was disappointed: The huge dumpling was "filled" with a few slices of salami, three/four mini slices of mushrooms, where was the cheese? AND plenty of boiled egg slices 🤨 Tomato sauce was on the plate next to the dumpling as well as plenty of rocket... I remember CALZONE differently. And also Italian hospitality. Out of sheer frustration: No photos 😢
