Bodega Sesenta in Hamburg

Small bodega, but not busy for a Saturday evening, with about 6 guests. The atmosphere was actually quite pleasant, and the staff was friendly. The prawns with potatoes would have been okay, if they hadn't used sunflower oil—as confirmed upon inquiry—but instead, as befits a Spanish restaurant, classic olive oil. Then the flavor would have been just right, and the price would have been reasonable, too.

Highly recommended BODEGA, not just for Ernst Deutsch Theater visitors! Cozy restaurant right next to the Mundsburg subway station with extremely appealing cuisine. The fish is particularly good, and the service is prompt, reliable, and polite, even during intermissions! Fair value for money! The sheltered outdoor terrace is unfortunately right on the noisy street. Nevertheless, you should definitely go to Mundsburger Damm 60 = Sesenta ;)

Table reserved, plenty of time, and yet the tapas weren't ready before the theater. As a small apology, "a few snacks from the kitchen." The staff were very friendly and attentive. Then, after the theater, small portions of not "overwhelming" tapas at steep prices. Overall, not so great.

I was there on a Friday evening after driving school. It had just opened. We sat outside; it was warm and shady. The service was super, super friendly. ❤️ We thought the food was incredibly delicious. I hadn't had tapas like this before. Highly recommended: Potatoes with prawns in garlic oil. (Delicious) Bread with tomatoes (similar to bruschetta) Dates wrapped in bacon Goat cheese with honey Squid We'll definitely be back. Really great place. We recommend reserving a table in advance, as many people come over from the theater afterward, and it gets very busy, especially on a Friday. In the summer, the street noise doesn't really bother you. 🍀

Perfect for a small snack and/or drink before or after a visit to the theater. The tapas are as delicious as the wine.

Everything was (almost) perfect. The service was excellent. The ambiance was very nice, and most importantly, the food was truly delicious. Unfortunately, they ran out of tortillas, but we got delicious replacements. I haven't given this place 5 stars in a long time.

It has been an integral part of our regular theater visits to the Ernst Deutsch Theater for years. Either for dinner before the performance or for a snack during the break (usually both). Delicious tapas and other delicacies, always friendly and courteous service. I don't want to talk about prices here, the decision to enter a restaurant - or not - is made by everyone for themselves. In any case, we will remain loyal to the bodega.

Food was delicious and the staff is really lovely. Unfortunately, we had a not so nice seat right by the door and the cold outside temperatures made it uncomfortable for us. Overall, it was very tight when staff and guests moved past the chairs, and sometimes very loud, so conversations at the table were difficult.

Super delicious food, really nice and competent staff who will also explain the menu to you if you have any questions :) You feel very well looked after in a nice atmosphere. Full 5 stars!!

The food is really outstanding. The tapas are top class. There is a great service that is attentive and kind. The only thing that doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside is the location. Once inside you immediately feel as if you have arrived in Spain.

0.2 liters of soft drink for €3.50. That's €17.50 per liter. Anyone who needs this - here you go...

I actually like the store, but something has been going wrong lately. The phone number on the website doesn't work. The doorbell rings forever and no one picks up. Instead you have to use the (mobile) number from Googlemaps. I ordered a table over the phone, but on that day we were standing in front of the closed doors, and there was only a printed paper on the door saying “day off”, even though the restaurant was usually open on that day. Guests with reservations should at least be informed by telephone.

A great shop. Were there with 5 people. Whether Gambas Ajoli, Boquerones or bread with Ajoli, everything is great. Keep it up. We'll meet Again

Super tasty food, unfortunately lousy and completely overloaded service. We asked to order twice and at some point I went to the counter. The food that was ordered one after the other came all at once, far too much. When we wanted to order something more, the waiter said he would be there soon, but he didn't come. After 10 minutes I went back to the counter. Extremely long wait for the food. All of this pretty much ruined the visit to this restaurant. It's a shame about the good food, but we'll never go there again.

The very nice and attentive employees are a big plus. The food also came very quickly. Unfortunately, the food only tasted okay and considering the price, for me it was the worst tapas restaurant in Hamburg so far. The bacon-wrapped dates were negative, as the bacon tasted old. I had a grumbling stomach afterwards.

Service attentive, friendly and quick... the tapas we ordered tasted good. Unfortunately, the prices on the menu on the homepage are not up to date. Unfortunately, the mixed platter we ordered is now €10 more expensive...that should be kept up to date! Unfortunately no card payment. Supposedly this would be a current problem...if I read the last reviews, but it's been going on for months. In today's world and considering the prices are not exactly cheap, this is an absurdity. Therefore, despite the otherwise successful evening, a deduction in the rating.

We are thrilled! We sat at the bar and had so much fun, the food was delicious, peppers, squid, bacon wrapped cheese, all prepared quickly in front of us. We found the atmosphere cheerful, relaxed, with a lot of activity, no one seemed stressed or rushed. We will definitely be back, I have rarely eaten something so delicious. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The food was delicious, but the cava was even better. We had a very great waitress! Unfortunately they only take cash, which isn't very ideal these days. A tip: please inform your customers when making the reservation and not when they arrive at the restaurant ☺️ Thank you!

We were very satisfied and would like to come back. It was very crowded on Friday evening, so you should make a reservation. The portions are very manageable in relation to the price, but that is normal for Spaniards. The quality of the food was very good, all dishes were very tasty. The house wine is reasonably priced and good. We can highly recommend the visit.

We were in Hamburg today and were looking for a nice restaurant to end the evening comfortably. What can I say? We weren't disappointed. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The food we ordered tasted very good and was at the table within a few minutes. The homemade spicy oil blew me away as it was the best Spanish food I have ever tasted. A big compliment at this point. The street is a bit noisy, but it's fun to watch all the people in traffic.

The Bodega Sesenta is directly connected to the Ernst Deutsch Theater, among other things a good opportunity to stop off before or after visiting the theater. Cozy atmosphere, delicious tapas offerings and extremely friendly and attentive service.

In this bodega you can watch the chef preparing the delicious tapas, the atmosphere is such a relief that I have dragged many friends there and everyone was thrilled afterwards, regardless of whether they are at home in Hamburg, Berlin or Cologne are. You should know that the theater audience gathers briefly before performances and during breaks to drink wine - then they relax again!

There is nothing better than fortifying yourself with delicious food before going to the theater in the neighboring Ernst Deutsch Theater. The dishes were tasty, the drinks were excellent and the staff was just great.

Leckeres Essen. Leider ist die Lage suboptimal, aber das gute Essen lässt es trotzdem eine Reise wert sein.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit einer netten Atmosphäre und einem schönen Ambiente. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und hat sich stets um uns und unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Die zwei Tapas Platten waren lecker zubereitet und nett dekoriert. Es waren die besten Tapas die ich je gegessen habe. Eine Vegetarische Tapas Platte für 17 Euro finde ich angemessen. Es war ein sehr gelungener und lustiger Abend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ♥️

Wir waren jetzt schon öfters hier und sind wirklich etwas verliebt in den Laden. Egal ob drinnen, oder draußen, es ist einfach super schick und Ambiente stimmt. Die Damen im Service sind immer freundlich und schnell, Essen und Getränke top und egal was wir bis jetzt probiert haben, es war immer richtig gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We were four adults and a child and shared the tapas variadas 1 & 2 and it was definitely enough for all of us. Service was great and attentive. We can absolutely recommend that place.

Wir waren wegen der Pandemie nach langer Zeit wieder in der Bodega zum Tapasessen. Die Tapas sind immer noch sehr lecker, der Hauswein ist zu empfehlen, der Service sehr nett. Vor einem Theaterbesuch immer wieder gern.

Das Essen war in Ordnung…wenn es denn mal am Tisch ankommt. Bedienung und Küche ziemlich überfordert - schlechter geht es kaum. Dazu recht teuer. Leider kein schöner Abschluss eines Besuchs in Hamburg.

Perfekter Start für einen Theaterabend mit variantenreichen und schmackhaften Tapas.

Sehr eng und recht teuer. Bedienung nett, aber nicht übermäßig schnell. Essen ist schon gut. Ich werde wohl nicht wieder hin gehen. Aber wer auf Tappas steht, kann gerne einen Versuch starten. Am besten mit der U-Bahn hin fahren bis Mundsburg. Parkplätze gibt es kaum in der Nähe.

Eine wunderbare Entdeckung - eine authentische Tapas-Bar mit freundlichem und super organisierten Service. Wir hatten vorm Theaterbesuch spontan 45 Minuten Zeit, um eine Kleinigkeit zu essen und trinken und wurden hier mit dieser Ansage bestens bedient. Auch die Qualität der Zutaten hat gestimmt, es war nicht übersalzen, wie es oft in Restaurants in Deutschland der Fall ist. Wir kommen sehr gern mal mit mehr Zeit wieder 🙂

Meiner Meinung nach der beste Spanier in Hamburg! Top Bedienung: freundlich und super organisiert. Zum Essen: es ist einfach ein Traum! Es schmeckt so gut und wird liebevoll serviert. Der Wein ist ebenfalls super. Alles in allem: mehr als zu empfehlen!

Dieses spanische Restaurant ist außergewöhnlich gut, das Essen ist lecker, der Service ausgesprochen freundlich, dazu noch ein tolles Theatererlbnis im gleichen Haus. Die Weinauswahl ist richtig gut und auch der Kaffee. Vielen Dank.

Ein wirklich gemütliches Bar-Restaurant direkt am Ernst-Deutsch-Theater gelegen. Vor der Vorstellung oder danach ein paar leckere Tapas essen oder den guten Wein genießen. Der Service ist gut und das Essen kam sehr schnell. Die Tische draußen kann man nutzen, allerdings sollte man bedenken das man an der Kreuzung sitzt und dadurch natürlich auch der Lärm dementsprechend ist. Abgesehen davon ist es empfehlenswert. Reservieren nicht vergessen, da ja viele Theaterbesucher abends hier einkehren.

Vorzüglicher Wein und nett präsentierte Tapas. Essen war lecker hat mich aber nicht vom Hocker gehauen. Service war dafür 1A freundlich, humorvoll und zuvorkommend. Entspannte Atmosphäre. Komme gerne wieder.

Que grand categoría este lugar, he cenado de maravilla , una bodega española, acerté en pedir un auténtico pulpo gallego y mi preferido vino gallego terras gauda, (por cierto que alegría encontrarlo disponible en una carta en Alemania). El trato es espetacular, un 10/10. Lo mejor: la atención del atendente Lo pero : es que vivo en españa y no poderte venir constantemente 100% recomendable Muchas Gracias por la atención!

Nettes spanisches Tapas Restaurant mit guter Weinauswahl, direkt an der Haltestelle Mundsburg. Trotz der Lage ist auch der Außenbereich nicht zu laut. Die Tapas Mix Teller sind echt lecker und decken alles ab und das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Ich bin hier immer wieder gerne zu Gast! Nicht nur wegen der guten spanischen Küche mit Tapas, Hauptgerichten und guten Weinen, sondern auch wegen der angenehmen Atmosphäre, zu der sowohl die freundliche Bedienung als auch das schöne Ambiete beitragen.
