Bodega Argentina the City in Hannover

Disastrous. Despite the pleasant ambiance, I have to say that the staff, or rather the owner, was completely unfriendly and unprofessional. When my friends and I ordered non-alcoholic drinks, he changed his behavior completely. He seemed surprised and insisted on serving us something alcoholic. Soon after, he started talking negatively about us in Spanish, assuming we didn't speak it. Furthermore, we were offered both cash and card payments, but the owner became rude when we asked to pay by card. Overall, I was very disappointed, as the atmosphere seemed promising. However, the staff completely changed my mind.

Lovely atmosphere, the food was excellent and arrived quickly, friendly owner and very attentive, exceptionally polite and considerate service (Anja). We will certainly return here for meals, both individually and as a club.

I stumbled across the place by chance as I was passing by. Delicious empanadas (it was my first time, but I loved them) and a good glass of wine immediately relaxed me after a stressful day on business, and I was able to immerse myself in the ambiance of the beautifully decorated restaurant and the music. A highlight for me were the sauces, which surprised me with their numerous evolving flavor nuances. Since the restaurant is family-run, I immediately had a pleasant chat with the owner.

Lovingly decorated and with a cozy atmosphere, candlelight and Argentinian music. Truly something different and highly recommended!

Super friendly service, a real empanada, but sealed with a machine. Flavorfully, it could be better! A mushroom in the hongo, a little ham, and lots of cheese everywhere, which overpowers the filling. The chimichurri was delicious, and the remaining sauces were Argentinian hot (so not much). A lot of them were gone, which we thought was a shame. 4.50 per piece is fair considering the contents. I worked in BA for a while, so I think there's still room for improvement. It's great that something like this exists, at least.

Definitely the best Argentinian spot in Hannover - Luigi was the nicest and most helpful with the menu when we had someone with food allergies in our party - we really cannot recommend him and this restaurant enough! The empanadas and cocktails are the best! Eugene the owner remembered my father from his visits and was so gracious to host us as well when we visited, our family will definitely be back.

It was a complete surprise! Well-prepared and very tasty! And what can I say about the sauces!! Simply incredible! The place is beautiful, with great background music. The waiters helped me with everything when ordering, as I don't speak German or English, but they really went the extra mile. I'll see if I can find a similar one in Barcelona...

We spontaneously stopped in one evening for a glass of wine. We didn't eat anything. They offered some kind of karaoke. The location is great—you get a nice view, centrally located in the city. Yet it's not noisy. The service was pleasant, but the wine took a bit of getting used to. That might have been due to our selection. A cheerful chef, a pleasant atmosphere.

When you go to the bathroom, you'll see why. That's what I call customer service.

I found the different enpanadas incredibly delicious. Each piece costs four euros. All the varieties I tried (especially the ones with ham and cheese) were super delicious! Friendly service!

We came here for the first time on a whim and didn't really have any expectations. Luigi gave us a very warm welcome and gave us an excellent tour of the menu. We immediately felt at home and were surprised by the large wine selection, some of which we were able to sample. The empanadas and burger were surprisingly good; everything was homemade, and you can taste it. A very familiar atmosphere here. Thanks Luigi for the great evening! The insider tip here is the Espresso Martini.

The empanadas are quite successful, there is not much difference in price between the menu and à la carte, the ice cream is very good, the cocktails too, except for the Pisco Sauer which I was preparing in a different way, they call the pastries sweet empanadas 😆

I love Argentinian food, and I have to say, I've never been so disappointed. The sauces: Tasteless chimichurri and the other options, just spicy flavors. Empanadas: Flaky and thin dough, small for the price, and all with peppers. Only the cheese ones are without. Burgers: Cheap bread, similar to what you can buy at Penny. Soggy cherry tomatoes and an okay beef patty, but unacceptable quality for the high price they charge. Drinks: Overpriced. Decor: I'm sorry, but for the prices you charge, cheaply printed banners tapping on the wall are anything but a match. As much as I feel bad for leaving a negative review, I'm still sad that I spent my money there.

The food was incredibly good; the empanadas were a dream, prepared with love and absolutely delicious. Luigi served us and was super attentive and kind. He recommended some great things to us, including the after-work special. If we're ever in Hanover again, we'll definitely be back!

Just so so great in all ways. We ate burgers with wedges without bread. Can really recommend and we will deinitely return when in Hannover next time!

This is a shining light in Hanover. Not a fake franchise or themed restaurant but a real authentic Argentinian bar and restaurant. Eugene the Argentinian owner and manager is a great character who brings so much joy and atmosphere to the place. It's now my "default go to' venue in Hanover. Don't miss this Gem when in town

The atmosphere here is so intensely Argentine that I almost wanted to tango, even though I can't master a single step! If you've always been looking for the perfect place where taste explosions and warm service come together, then your mission ends here and now: Bodega Argentina is the undisputed crown of culinary art. The empanadas are so crispy it's like they've just danced in the oven with a choir of angels, the meat has a tenderness that makes even butter jealous, and the sauces taste like they were made from the tears of happy unicorns. And now to Luigi - this eccentric service genius with the charm of a Hollywood star and the care of a loving grandmother. He reads your every wish from your lips even before you know that you even have that wish. His radiant smile has the power to transform even the grayest day into fireworks of good mood. Not only does he know the menu by heart, he literally seems to be friends with every ingredient. With a cheeky wink, he recommends exactly the dish you've always needed without knowing it - and he's spot on every time! I don't just give Bodega Argentina five stars, but at least five suns, four galaxies and a whole shooting star show to boot. The dinner was excellent, the atmosphere, the wine, the quality of the meat and the empanadas. The service and friendliness of the owners (who were looked after by the owner) were a luxury. I recommend it to anyone looking for good Argentinian meat, excellent wines and a relaxed but professional atmosphere.

I was pleasantly surprised by the nice woman at the counter and the large selection of delicious empanadas on display. Although they are not homemade, they are freshly brushed with egg yolk and baked. This is quick and there are even changing surprise varieties. The empanada are not small either, but are worth their price. Addendum: I was here again and this time I didn't like the empanadas. All empanadas that had a cheese filling tasted almost exclusively like that or like a block of cheese. The others were again very good - just like my Pisco Sour. Whereas the supposedly best espresso martini in Hanover was not good. It hardly tasted like alcohol but unfortunately just like watered down sweetened coffee. Addendum: Today it was very tasty again and the dough is nice and light and at the same time tender, firm and crispy. There was a currywurst special which was great and this time we also tried desserts. The first three selections (Dulce de leche, Dulce de Batata chocolate rum, and the Chocolate Madagascar (really just chocolate from Madagascar) are sweet filled empanadas. They were pretty tasty too. The Alfajores is a firmer cookie with caramel and was Also good. There was also apple pie and a brownie in the display.

I can only recommend Bodega Argentina to you! The empanadas are really tasty and there is a large selection of fillings to suit every taste. The lunch menu and the grande menu offer great value for money with fresh salads and several empanadas. The after-work menu is perfect for a relaxed evening with friends as it includes wine and a large portion of food. There is also a great selection of drinks, from cocktails to wines. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch. The service is friendly, attentive and quick, and every order comes with a delicious selection of dips. The sweet empanadas for dessert are particularly recommended – the perfect end to a great meal!

We wanted to eat a steak, but hadn't realized that you have to reserve a few days in advance for grilled meat. But in any case there was an excellent hamburger and some very good enpanadas with lots of different fillings. Very nice staff
