Bochumer Bowling Treff in Bochum

Unfortunately disappointing – room for improvement in hygiene and service. We went bowling there with a group and paid over €120 for our lane. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to our expectations: after the game, all the disinfectant dispensers were empty - hygiene is particularly important when it comes to shared balls and rental shoes. When we asked politely at the shoe distribution desk, we were simply told: “If it’s empty, soap will help.” – an unhelpful answer, especially since there was no apology or suggested solution. For the price we would have liked better customer service and more care in hygiene. We won't come back.

We went to this bowling alley yesterday with friends and really had a lot of fun until the end. But unfortunately the evening was marred by an unpleasant situation that left us all quite disappointed. After we were done, we wanted to disinfect our hands – as should be a given these days. Unfortunately, all of the disinfectant dispensers in the area were empty. However, when I politely asked the lady at the shoe counter, I only received an unfriendly, almost condescending answer: “Washing your hands thoroughly with soap should be enough.” No understanding, no accommodation - just dismissive. The contrast was particularly bitter with another employee (of non-German origin), who had previously very kindly provided my partner with an alternative disinfection device that was actually only intended for employees and even thanked me for the tip. This is how customer service works! Especially in an area where many people use the same items, hygiene should be taken seriously - and above all, guests should be treated with respect. For an evening that cost us around €120, this is really disappointing. It's a shame that such a small moment - due to a lack of friendliness and little sense of responsibility - negatively overshadowed the whole evening. We definitely won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend this train.

Much too expensive for 1:30 hours for 2 people €75.20. It's definitely not worth going there given the prices!

We were there for the first time yesterday and were really pleasantly surprised! The service was simply perfect - unfortunately you rarely experience something like that in Germany. The entire staff was extremely nice, attentive and helpful. I would rate the food 3.5 out of 5, but we weren't there for the food :) Thanks

Been here several times and always great

Went there on Saturday for my son's birthday and everything was okay. Except for the one moment when the boss called her employee a complete idiot in front of all the customers because he walked backwards towards her and a muffin fell down. As a customer, I was totally embarrassed and found it extremely embarrassing that she made such a statement in front of all the customers. In my opinion, it wasn't the employee's fault because he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head, but rather the boss. And I think if you have something to clarify with your employee, then don't do it in front of customers. That's definitely a reason for me not to go there anymore. And the older man at the checkout was also quite unfriendly.

Nice little bowling alley. Also ideal for a child’s birthday. from 10 years. Lanes can be closed to the gutter in a child-friendly manner. There are extra children's balls. And after 2 hours of bowling, the children's menus were eaten. Nice and attentive staff! Parking spaces are also available.

We had made reservations for a children's birthday party today. Everything was absolutely perfect. Everything was prepared and nicely arranged. Everyone was nice, professional and accommodating. We were there on New Year's Eve, we had a lot of fun and the entire area was very well maintained and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Very nice bowling meeting. We were there with a few kids, had 2 lanes and super nice service! Price-performance is completely okay and plenty of shoes in stock up to size 52! :-) We would love to come to you again!

The team, whether at the bar or at the shoe rental shop, has always been friendly and in a good mood. The currywurst fries were okay in terms of taste and price. At the weekend there is disco bowling with music, a light show and various games and prizes. For example, in a car race, all lanes compete against each other and the winning team gets free drinks. Always a lovely evening.

We celebrated our Christmas party there with the company. We had decided on the buffet in advance. It was very tasty and more than enough. The team always had an open ear and was very attentive. We had a lot of fun.

The best bowling center far and wide. I've been going here for about 20 years. Sometimes regularly, sometimes less, but we always find very friendly staff and a well-maintained facility here. The food is also very good for a bowling alley and the prices are more than fair for today's times. Also a special compliment for the accommodating handling of cancellations.

Pleasant atmosphere, calm music and not too many lanes. Price wise also fully within the range. I would have only liked a short introduction, for example I didn't know that there would also have been Kindergugeln

Very nice and cozy bowling facility. The tracks and interior are well maintained and in very good condition. The toilets are clean. The staff is consistently friendly, quick and helpful!!! Food tastes good and the prices are completely okay. We will definitely come back with our little group, even if we have to drive 30km to do so.

Bowling itself was okay, but it often took up to 5 minutes for the pins to line up again... We've commented on it twice, really desperately, but only ever got the excuse "sometimes it just takes a little longer...", so next time we'll go somewhere else. (We had booked Fridays, 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.)

In my opinion, the bowling alley is one of the best in the Dortmund/Bochum area. I play here regularly and have always traveled to Oberhausen before. Due to a long motorway closure and the resulting traffic chaos, we wanted to temporarily switch to the bowling club. Now we've "stuck" here and come regularly. The bowl shop is also recommended. If you are looking for well-maintained tracks in the Ruhr area, Gier is the right place! The gastronomic offer is also recommended.

The employees were very unfriendly, we were harassed by the employees for an hour, if I had the opportunity I would give minus stars, never again!

Great bowling alley. Everything went great with online reservations. Also suitable for smaller children, there are lighter balls and a slide. Our son definitely had a lot of fun and we will definitely be back. Staff also super friendly. Thank you very much for the lovely afternoon :)

I'm always there with family or friends when they have or have had a birthday, we're always there. Staff are always nice, helpful and hard-working. Toilets are always clean. I come there every time. I come there once a month. I can only recommend the bowling alley. There's nothing to complain about a 5 out of 5 drinks are perfect

The facility itself is very well maintained and in good condition. The sanitary facilities were also in good general condition and, above all, clean. We didn't try the food, but the prices were really very reasonable. The drinks were really excellent, the Pilsner in particular tasted great. We would like to come again.

The staff is really nice!! Bowling was also a lot of fun. The thing that struck us as very negative was the food. We had to wait more than 35 minutes for the food. In addition, the food was way too spicy. The bacon on the burger looked like the “Bacon Corn Snacks” from a discount retailer. Overall the food was not edible! What we also said when paying.

Very nice to play here. Shoes can be rented and are in good condition. The staff is very friendly. After the rented time it ends immediately. Afterwards you can continue watching and consuming food and drinks in the back area.

People are just messing around here. Even though I am a student and my son and daughter are students, more money was collected. Even though I said before paying that we were students, it was not accepted. You should say everything before the game. But we weren't told anything like that when we made the reservation. So before you start, say whether your children are students.

I was there today with 10 children to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The children had a lot of fun and were treated like kings by the staff. 😊 They also helped me a lot with looking after the children, so everything was much more relaxed and clearer than expected. Wonderfully nostalgic facility from the early 60s; If it weren't for the modern scoreboards, it would almost be a museum. A special highlight: Films from the 1950s are constantly being shown in which masters and children show off their skills. You feel really comfortable there. Highly recommended and not expensive!

Very old bowling balls and very little, or rather only one choice of food. We had to eat only tacos for 2 hours

Extremely unfriendly, never again. We came in and were immediately insulted by the owners. Instead of asking if you wanted something to drink or if you could help, a message was put straight in that you should move away. It's really questionable how the store can still have visitors. I would prefer to give minus stars.

Bin hin und her gerissen....Ich empfand den älteren Herrn unsympathisch, etwas frech...ja ne, frech nicht...aber seine Aussagen empfand ich unpassend. Weiß nicht ob wir wieder kommen. Die Jungs von der Bedienung (essen & trinken) sehr nett ! Ansonsten hatten wir viel Spaß.

Disco Bowling zum Geburtstag und es mal richtig krachen lassen. Die von der Nebenbahn fanden es nicht lustig. Aber wenn Spasbremsen Freigang haben muss man freundlich sein und sie mitmachen lassen. Dann findet die Transformation statt und die Bremse wird zum Gaspedal mit Turbolickdown.

Nette Bowlingbahn, aber etwas eng, dass man sich sehr auf den Füßen steht, vor allem wenn beide Seiten einer Bahn von mehreren bespielt werden. Das gastronomische Angebot ist ok, die Nachos überteuert und dafür haben sie vergleichsweise wenig Geschmack. Es gibt verschiedene Deals und für Kindergeburtstage finde ich es eine tolle Lösung.

Unfreundliches Personal, unmögliche Musik (schlimmster 90er Eurodance-Trash) an einem Samstagabend. Location eigentlich ansprechend, insgesamt aber nur 2-Sterne wert.

Am 15.11.2023 angerufen und für den 03.12.2023 reserviert. Am Telefon versichert uns der Mann, dass reserviert ist und sich auf unseren Besuch freut. Am 03.12. also mit 10 Mann erschienen und was höre ich? "Sie haben keine Reservierung." Unglaublich. Also alle wieder zurück. Der Mann der am 15.11. dort gearbeitet hat, hat uns den Abend versaut. ABER, der Mann der am 03.12. dort gearbeitet hat, hat uns einen Gutschein für's gratis Bowling geschenkt und sich mehrfach entschuldigt. Die Dame am selben Tag war absolut unhöflich und hat sich nicht entschuldigt. Sie hat mich lautstark darauf hingewiesen, dass ich meinen Umgangston korrigieren soll, obwohl ich nur gefragt habe, was man denn jetzt tun kann. Sie gehört gekündigt. Bis auf meinen "Gratisbessuch" demnächst werde ich sicher nicht wieder kommen. Mal sehen ob dieser Gutschein überhaupt akzeptiert werden wird.

Tollen Abend gehabt. Sehr gutes Essen und super tolles Service Team. Sehr freundlich und schnell.

5 Sterne für das Buchungspersonal!! Wir sind völlig beeindruckt - nach > 4 Wochen und ohne einen Hinweis konnte man sich an uns/ ein vorhandenes Handicap erinnern, hat mitdacht, die Bahnbelegung angepasst, um das Bowlen für uns angenehmer zu gestalten. Damit wurde - schon das Einchecken - zu einem absolut positiven Erlebnis! Soviel Empathie erlebt man selten... VIELEN DANK dafür - und für die schöne Zeit bei Euch! Wir sind MEGA BEINDRUCKT und kommen wieder👍👍👍
