We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday. The staff were very attentive and exceptionally helpful, as my mother has limited mobility and needed assistance getting up and down stairs. The buffet and cake we chose were excellent and highly praised by all the guests. The service staff fulfilled our every need. We felt very comfortable and would 100% recommend it!

Bobby Reich is a fantastic location. Located right on the boat dock overlooking the Alster. The roast beef was perfectly prepared, and the side dishes were delicious. Above all, the service was outstanding; even though the place was busy, they always kept an eye on all the guests. Please keep it up.

Tradition in a perfect location. Inside and out.

Dangerous, heartless and unprofessional – absolutely not recommended! We rented kayaks here on Saturday. During the trip, our friends' kayak capsized and almost completely sank. The staff saw everything, but no one helped. They just stood there and watched. Only after my loud cries for help was a lifebuoy finally thrown into the water. The water was ice cold and our friends were completely soaked. Instead of offering them a blanket or at least something warm, they were even asked to leave the beach chairs because they were wet - even though they are beach furniture that dries quickly anyway! Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable. No compassion, no sense of responsibility.

Very nice atmosphere with a great view and extremely friendly staff. A mischievous smile came back over a forgotten drink, which was pointed out several times... The food was very tasty 😋. We'll be back...

Very bad shop! Food bad, if there is anything to eat at all (there was no fat for fries), boss super unfriendly. Children are generally not welcome there. There are nicer shops on the Alster.

Live right there, have been there a few times. Restaurant ok, terrace with folding chairs but unnecessarily expensive and people, for whatever reason, unfriendly.

Shameless boss – absolutely hostile to children and arrogant We were at Bobby Reich's with our child on a hot day. The service was friendly - unfortunately that's where the positive ends. When we politely asked if we could open a parasol (blazing sun, small child), we were only told “No, the boss doesn't want that”. Shortly afterwards, this “boss” showed up – and confirmed in a disparaging tone: “It’s not today.” No explanation, no decency - just plain stupid. Then the next big thing: He harshly reprimanded my wife for allegedly having her feet on the chair - meaning our child, who wasn't even sitting on it, but standing in front of it. He repeated his reprimand several times in an absolutely disrespectful tone. Not a bit of sensitivity, no willingness to talk - just unfriendly, arrogant and obviously annoyed by everything that doesn't fit into his ossified image. We left immediately. The employees were ashamed of him - literally: "Yes, that is very unpleasant, we are sorry." Conclusion: Anyone who comes with children is not welcome here. The boss seems hostile to children and completely out of place in the hospitality industry. A shame for such a location. Never again.

Unfortunately, after reminding twice, I forgot the drink. Absolutely substandard service :(

Finding a breakfast place on a Monday was difficult. Luckily we came across Bobby Reich. The price/performance ratio was very good. We - five people - had placed different breakfast orders and were all very satisfied. The service was very nice and attentive. The terrace and the view were great. We will definitely be back.

The food is nothing creative but it's simple and fresh and filling. This is the kind of place you go to for the location and the vibe. We had a lovely time and the spotty service by the very friendly wait staff isn't a problem at all when you're having a good time. Will definitely go here again in good weather.

I stopped here by chance while walking in Hamburg. The plan of a wine break was thrown overboard by the really nice and warm welcome from Chris. A warm and friendly welcome invited me to linger. The Fineknwerder plaice was good and is recommended. Thanks for this great moment through Chris. Here today I was shown that there is also nice and really guest-oriented gastronomy.

“Children belong on the playground, not here” - that actually says everything that needs to be said. Except that you should take the children's cup off the ice cream menu. Yes, there are parents who let their children get away with everything and yes, parents with well-behaved children are also annoyed by them. But vs. For a 2-year-old who is relaxed eating his ice cream and dancing quietly to Robbie Williams with his mother holding his hand, and an infant, such sayings and attitudes are absolutely out of place. We therefore recommend other pedal boat rental providers etc. to parents with children.

I was there on the afternoon of April 15th with my family. My husband ordered 2 hefeweizen and I had ice coffee, the beer came and I had finished my drink, which was a shame for the rating. Dedwgen only 2 stars 🌟 🌟

Unfortunately, I haven't had such abysmal service in a long time. I feel sorry for the assessment of the other two waiters, who were apparently much better sorted, but unfortunately nothing worked for ours, including the politeness.

Bobby Reich 🧐 a legend on the Alster 🙂 Here you can rent boats, and it's particularly nice to eat out with a fantastic view of the Alster! Menu is small but delicious, there is something to eat for everyone! Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere!

Simply pure impudence!! Left after 1.5 hours without being served! Waiters very rude and the tables next to us have already complained. Entire store disorganized and unprepared for good weather and lots of people!

I thought I would enjoy coffee with a view, indoors because it was cool outside. It was bad because both doors were open, there was no condition for ages, the tables remained dirty and were not cleared, and despite requests, no one came to cash. I'm not going in there again.

We experienced a rare February miracle in Hamburg—a sunny day—and made the most of it by enjoying a beer on the deck. With a selection of beers, pretzels, and deck chairs, the place couldn’t have offered a better experience. Simple yet satisfying.

Excellent local cuisine in a friendly family business. It's probably better to avoid the peak tourist times.

How can you not accept a card in 2023?! There are countless and inexpensive ways to get a card reader so that you don't have to carry the cash around (although accepting black money is made more difficult)

Oh nice! Rent rowing boats and head out onto the Alster. The animals in the water launch a charm offensive. Don't give them the wrong food! Always remember that! The food is ok so far, the toilets are clean!

Brilliant view of the Alster and delicious food. This time I just wanted a latte macchiato and a cocoa. Given the brilliant weather, it wasn't a problem that we had to wait 20 minutes for our order. Unfortunately, after the third, polite (!) request for a glass of Letungswasser, our waiter became loud and said that we could complain about him to the boss. So definitely a recommendation if you have some time and can deal with rude staff.

Es hat uns allen ausnehmend gut gefallen. Das Frühstück, insbesondere mit ganz frischen Krabben, hat allen ganz hervorragend geschmeckt. Der Service perfekt. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war, dass an diesem Tag auch noch die Sonne schien, d.h., wir konnten uns im Anschluß nach draußen setzen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Tag......

This year in January and yesterday on the 1st Advent we celebrated a big birthday with around 30 people at Bobby Reich's. The preparation, advice and support from Mr. Sämann once again convinced us. Friendly, uncomplicated and what can be done is made possible. Despite the staff shortage, the service is extremely friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. We were able to enjoy the festival in a cozy, traditional environment. Thank you to the entire team!! We'd love to come back.

The view of the Alster is simply fantastic and the atmosphere on the jetty with the outside bar is also unique. Be it with mulled wine in winter or with a cold drink on warm summer nights. The interior of the restaurant has probably remained unchanged since 1970, but I like it. Mainly older crowd in the restaurant with a penchant for German cuisine.

We got hot chocolate there several times when we walked around the Alster. Tastes good and is perfectly priced.

Delicious lunch at an unbeatable price. Plus the view of the Alster and service that rounds off the very good overall picture. Absolute recommendation!

Waited over 45 minutes to be able to order and kept asking. I was just told to come back soon. But were always rejected. We left after 45 minutes, even though the terrace was nice.

Unfortunately you can't give zero stars. We sat outside for 15 minutes without being able to order anything. The waiter was visibly overwhelmed and we left without being able to order anything

Very unmotivated and overwhelmed service, despite low table occupancy. There was no adequate service. The waiter ignored us for over half an hour. The multiple attempts to place the order in the restaurant were rejected. After serving, the immediate cash-in process unfortunately didn't work. The cocoa, on the other hand, was very tasty.

Bei schönsten goldenen Oktobersonnenschein machten wir einen Spaziergang an der Außenalster. Unterwegs freuten wir uns auf eine Stärkung bei Bobby Reich. Aus der Ferne sahen wir schon Gäste auf der Terrasse am Wasser sitzen. Wir bekamen auch sofort einen Tisch. Leider mußten wir sehr lange warten bis wir bedient wurden. Es war nur ein Kellner unterwegs. Wir entschieden uns für das Tagesangebot mit dem Oktoberfestbier und Rinderleber mit Kartoffelpüree und Apfelmus. Meine Frau orderte sich einen Caesars Salat. Die Leber mit Pü war soweit OK, aber der Caesars Salat hatte nichts mit Caesars Salat zu tun. Er war zwar frisch und knackig, aber das Dressing war weit entfernt vom Original und schmeckte nach nichts. Der Parmesan hatte einen eigentümlichen Geschmack. Der Service war so überfordert, dass er mir anstatt der Rechnung erneut das Lebergericht servierte. Uns hat es übethaupt nicht gefallen.

Very nice atmosphere with a distant view of the Alster Very friendly staff Warm food, rather mediocre in my opinion. The Plates were sparsely filled. The farmer's breakfast was a quantitative exception. However, it came with smoked ham that was cut way too thick and way too loose. More onions were missing. The potatoes were fried very unevenly, partly limp, partly black, and seemed to me to have been warmed up and re-roasted. I was missing salt and pepper. The ice cream was very questionable. The cream was almost liquid and there were only 3 types of ice cream, hazelnut vanilla and chocolate... These were already mushy when they came to the table. In the future I would only go there to enjoy the ambience on the outside terrace on the jetty and drink something cool. Thanks to the location, the friendly staff and the well-chilled drinks, I give it a well-intentioned 2 stars.

The ambience and food are top! However, the staff shows recurring incompetence and does not seem to be able to be friendly or particularly committed. In particular, the gentleman with the slicked-back hair is unfriendly, making it impossible to recommend this place despite the good food and nice water location.

Nice place to have a drink and enjoy a few hours by the Alster.

Our daughter wasn't allowed to sit on a chair, but was told to sit on a box for no reason (see similar reviews here). When we said no, the owner threatened us with the police. We then left the location with our scared daughter.

Beautiful view of the Alster, rustic small harbor atmosphere thanks to the sailing boat dock, cake and cappuccino very tasty 😋 . Our service was very pleasant.

Very nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When it comes to interior design, the designer's heart opens. The store must not change under any circumstances.

Wonderful ambience but Bobby Reich has the potential to ruin a wonderful day....!!!

Great view over the Alster, between the boats, greenery and beautiful houses - but our visit was less pleasant. We were here for the first time and were very excited because of the location - we were warmly welcomed and seated. Ordering went smoothly, but our question about a vegan meal was ignored. Portions are okay for the price - quality left something to be desired, carelessly prepared salad and a tasteless ratatouille. Schnitzel including fries were okay, but the schnitzel could have tasted better. Ambience great, service a bit uncommunicative and quick - no please, no thank you.

From what I've observed, the "store" thrives on larger events. If you want to be served, you will most likely have to rent the "shed".

Waited a long time to order and later for ice cream and coffee. (approx. 60 minutes). The restaurant was only half full in the beautiful late summer weather. Atmosphere still nice!

The view and the terrace are very nice, you can watch the sun go down here. However, the service is very slow and the food is unfortunately only mediocre.

First visit for breakfast today. The plate is very clear: 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of roast beef (with a teaspoon of tartar sauce), 1 teaspoon of cream cheese and 1 slice of ham, which was very tasty. Garnish with an orange slice. Plus a bowl with enough pieces of butter and jam and honey in plastic portion packets. 2 rolls, crispy, fresh and delicious and 1 slice of brown bread. Price: €11, which is absolutely justified. Earl Gray however 5€!!!!!! However, the service can be improved greatly!!!! One employee only looks at his cell phone, the second is often conspicuous by his absence. Our three breakfast orders are brought out in stages and the waiter scratches his chest extensively. You wait forever to order and pay, even though the outside is closed due to the bad weather and not all the tables inside are occupied. The ambience is getting old, but well-kept and dignified. And: we received a dessert “on the house”!!!!!!!!

Good ambience😉, music OK, I can't judge the food. Dear team, only cash payment at the jetty is 90s or a damn good tax optimization model. It's 2024, a step back in time. Urgent change, another cashless payment method should be included, right?

Incredibly rude!!! Agreements for a party of young people were not communicated or not kept. The older gentleman was stressful all evening. My son, who was celebrating his birthday, had repeatedly pulled himself out of the group to show half-drunk beer bottles in order to accuse him of cheating, despite my assurances that I would probably be able to sort this out the next day. The music was regularly turned down. Once quote “there is a bag of chips on the floor, then the music stays quiet”. Seven nationalities celebrated here and traveled a long way to expose themselves to complacency, unfriendliness and audacity, which as a German host you should be ashamed of. A much younger employee asked me in a very unfriendly manner whether I had even discussed the financial issue. The next day my son was called a complete puke in my presence. You could just about tolerate me. If it is not recognized which age group has potential, you should perhaps limit yourself to the old-fashioned restoration. The location is super relaxed in the sunshine. We didn't eat, so no stars. Unfortunately the service was subpar, you had to wait forever for everything. What a shame!

It's lovely to sit here with a view of the Alster. Unfortunately not all of the parasols were open. The service was nice and quick. The food was tasty, but the portions were quite small for the prices. Overall, everything seems a bit old-fashioned.

Such a wonderful place to be. Great menu. It tasted great. Service very nice and attentive. Prices for this place are completely reasonable. I had the roast beef which was wonderful, my partner had a great salad and prawn toast. I really recommend this place, you almost don't want to get up so you can watch what amazing things all the other guests have ordered :-)

We had pre-booked a table for 6 people. Unfortunately we were served very poorly. Ordering and the time until the food arrived - everything took an unreasonably long time, more than an hour. So it was virtually impossible to reorder drinks or dessert. There were far too few waiters on duty. What was really unpleasant, however, was that these overwhelmed waiters were extremely harshly reprimanded and ordered around by a boss (?) sitting in an armchair. You could tell that the waiters were nervous and unsettled. The food was okay and the view of the Alster is just great. That has to be said in fairness.

Relaxed sundowner on the Alster with the best house sounds! Price-performance is upscale, as a 0.15l white wine with ice cubes costs €7. We only had an after-work drink and didn't eat anything. Therefore only a rating for ambience and service.

An enchanting place with a direct view of the Alster. Our plan was to have a meal there at lunchtime. Arrive at 12.30 p.m., give up our meal request at 1 p.m. Because there were disagreements in the kitchen, the meal was served at 3:30 p.m. The Mattjes with beans and card tasted excellent, but the waiting time was unreasonable.

Zu wenig Personal , Ausstattung sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr ansprechend , dreckige alte Tischdecken draußen und verschimmelte und rostige Sonnenschirme. Preise viel zu überteuert! Die Toilettenfrau war sehr unverschämt, habeb gezahlt obwohl wir etwas verzehrt haben. Außerdem wollte sie das Geld schon bevor wir die Toilette überhaupt benutzt haben. Absolutes no go !

Really unfriendly reception. On the Internet it says boat rental from 10:00 a.m. and a reservation in advance is not possible.. Then you arrive here at 10:30 a.m. and they just say... no staff and rental only from 11 a.m.. With so little occupancy in the restaurant, you can this should also be done by the staff!? But no, they say to us: you can go somewhere else... This will be my first and last time here.

A drink, a meatball roll for example and lying in a deck chair on the jetty. Nice people around you, it feels like a vacation. Just try it out yourself. It's worth it.

It quickly becomes clear that this is a place for the nouveau riche. I was there with two friends. We queued decently to order drinks. A group of four nouveau riche girls stood in front of us and thought about what they would take for what felt like 20 minutes. A lá we are something better (as the newly rich behave). When it was our turn, the waitress filled the fridge even though there were still enough drinks and didn't really take our order. You are treated very superficially here - an ideal place for the nouveau riche.

Incredibly rude staff. Children are not allowed to sit on chairs. They make everything dirty. In the end the child was too loud... I've never experienced anything like that before. Just sad...

A cold drink on the jetty in the sun. That was the plan and that was initially possible. Really nice location. But as soon as the boss (?) walks past you, your good mood is quickly over. Our two-year-old daughter is not allowed to sit on the chairs. When I ask why, I get a mushy “Because I say so!” Back. The guy also exudes a negativity that is hard to believe. He didn't walk past the tables without making a stupid comment. It could be really nice here. But the behavior makes it impossible to feel comfortable. Not recommendable.

Worst service ever and am definitely never coming again

I had the dubious pleasure of visiting this establishment today and would like to share my experience to save others from a similar disappointment. The treatment of us as customers was not only inappropriate, but simply disrespectful. We had hoped to have a pleasant day on the jetty, but instead we were stared at as if we were a fairground curiosity. What was particularly disturbing was the intrusive look of an overweight man who blatantly stared at us. We don't know his role. He didn't even explain himself. As if that wasn't enough, we were also warned by the staff behind the counter that we should be careful not to stain the loungers with my son's make-up. This comment was not only unnecessary, but also insulting. Perhaps one should consider purchasing furniture that is appropriate for the conditions and use of such a place, rather than blaming guests for any perceived damage. In summary, I can only say that such anti-social behavior towards guests is absolutely unacceptable. I strongly recommend rethinking how you deal with guests and purchasing appropriate equipment that meets the requirements of such an operation. Until then I will avoid this place and can only advise others to do the same.

Once and never again!! We (two heavily pregnant women!!) actually had the idea of ​​spending the afternoon in the Bobby Reich in the best weather. With a cold drink in the Almdudler deck chair... completely relaxed... We didn't know anything about all the unspoken rules of this store. 1. You can only eat ice cream while standing or sitting on the beer crates (here you will be insulted if you approach: “Don't put ice cream on the chairs!!!”) The bartender then explained to me in a much nicer tone that they Chairs are new and the chocolate stains come out so badly. (Smoking is allowed though... burn marks are of course much easier to get out 🤔) 2. You are not allowed to touch the deck chairs barefoot (“well, I learned at home that you leave your feet on the floor..blablabla”). 3. There appears to be a time limit for enjoying a drink. After 1.5 hours, 1 ice cream and 4 paid (not cheap) drinks, the boss came to us very rudely for the third time (!!) and asked if we “wanted to screw him over” because we had been “sucking on a bottle” for so long. . I really thought that next he would ban the two pregnant girls who just wanted to enjoy the sun. I have no idea how the store can survive with such an unfriendly boss (if that's what he is?!). Maybe from his own beer consumption, which he shares with his friends. He will probably also tell them to drink faster so that his cash register rings. It's unbelievable how much negativity a single person can radiate. Something must have gone wrong in life. God bless him!
