Ich habe über Lieferando bestellt. Ich bat um zusätzliches Injera (und verlangte einen Aufpreis, bekam es aber nicht). Ich bestellte Durawet und ein vegetarisches Gericht für zwei Personen. Das Durawet war zwar gewürzt, aber es fehlte jegliche Würze, und das vegetarische Gericht für zwei Personen war Couscous – gerade genug für eine Person. Ich war sehr enttäuscht, und als ich anrief, um meinen Unmut zu äußern, wurde einfach aufgelegt. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach qualitativ hochwertigen äthiopischen Gerichten sind, empfehle ich Ihnen, sich woanders umzusehen (vielleicht hat der jahrelange Aufenthalt in Deutschland ihren Sinn für Gastfreundschaft beeinträchtigt).

Super Küche, tolle Atmosphäre, coole Service. Einfach gesagt KLASSE ETHIOPISCHE KÜCHE

Es war mein erstes Mal, dass ich äthiopische Küche probiert habe, und ich war begeistert! Das Restaurant hat ein wunderschönes, traditionell äthiopisches Interieur, das eine warme und authentische Atmosphäre schafft. Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt haben. Das Essen war köstlich, wunderschön angerichtet und voller einzigartiger Aromen. Ich habe es sehr genossen, eine neue Küche in einem so angenehmen Ambiente zu entdecken. Ich kann dieses Restaurant jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der authentisches äthiopisches Essen und hervorragende Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ich musste unbedingt äthiopisches Essen in München probieren und dieses Restaurant hat mich nicht enttäuscht! Ich hatte Doro Wot mit Hähnchenkeulen und dazu gab es Injera. Das Essen war fantastisch, voller Aromen und Gewürze. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Portionen und die Hähnchenkeulen waren etwas kleiner als ich es gewohnt bin. Das Restaurant war gemütlich und authentisch, richtig ruhig und ideal für einen schönen Abend. Das Personal und besonders die Kellnerin waren so freundlich, dass ich mich sehr willkommen gefühlt habe. 🥹 Absolut empfehlenswert!

Lebensmittelvergiftung! Wir sind nach dem Essen hier krank geworden, höchstwahrscheinlich vom Dessert. Das Essen war viel zu fettig und die Bedienung kam ständig aufdringlich, um uns mehr Essen und Getränke anzubieten. Meiden Sie dieses Lokal unbedingt!

Das Essen war wirklich super lecker und authentisch. Ein ganz großes Lob an die Bedienung – wir wurden extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient! Preislich ist es insgesamt zwar etwas teurer, aber für den tollen Service und das gute Essen kommen wir gerne wieder.

Ich war nun schon ein paar Mal mit meiner Familie in diesem Restaurant, und das Essen war jedes Mal hervorragend. Bitte verwechseln Sie es nicht mit dem gleichnamigen Restaurant „Blue Nile 2“. Die Mitarbeiter im „Blue Nile 1“ sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, und das Essen ist einfach himmlisch: Es hat eine perfekte Konsistenz, ist sehr aromatisch und das dazu gereichte Brot ist herrlich locker und fluffig. Das beste äthiopische Restaurant, das ich je besucht habe. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Eines der besten Restaurants in München!

Wir besuchten das Blue Nile 1 in der Münchner Freiheit zu viert, weil wir zum ersten Mal gemeinsam äthiopisches Essen probieren wollten. Es war definitiv ein einzigartiges und interessantes Erlebnis, und ich bin froh, dass ich es mit meiner Familie teilen konnte. Das Essen selbst schmeckte im Großen und Ganzen gut, besonders wenn man sehr hungrig ist und etwas Neues probieren möchte. Allerdings waren wir angesichts des Preises ziemlich enttäuscht. Wir zahlten über 30 € pro Person, und ehrlich gesagt, für das, was wir bekamen, war es das überhaupt nicht wert. Wir bestellten eine gemeinsame Platte und außerdem eine Vorspeisenplatte für zwei Personen. Die Platte war gut und sättigend, aber definitiv nicht den Preis wert. Besonders die Vorspeise war für das Gebotene extrem überteuert. Wir probierten auch den Haushonigwein, der leider keinem von uns wirklich schmeckte. Letztendlich bereue ich den Besuch nicht, weil es ein besonderes kulturelles Erlebnis und etwas Neues für meine Familie war, aber rein vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her würde ich persönlich nicht wiederkommen. München hat viele Restaurants, in denen man viel besser und deutlich günstiger essen kann.

Eine unglaublich gemütliche und authentische Atmosphäre, um gemeinsam zu essen. Das Essen wird ganz intim ohne Besteck serviert – man genießt die köstlichen Speisen einfach mit den Händen. Es war so friedlich, die Einrichtung stimmungsvoll und das Personal überaus freundlich. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Die Portionen sind großzügig und sättigend – man kommt kaum hinterher. Für Erstbesucher empfehle ich die Blaue Nil-Gebetsa: ein idealer Einstieg in die äthiopische Küche mit einer Vielfalt an Gerichten, darunter Rind, Lamm, Huhn und vegetarische Optionen. Der Service war perfekt – schnell, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.

Gute Atmosphäre, aber … der Service war unterirdisch, vor allem die Bedienung. Das Essen ist extrem überteuert und schmeckt zwar gut, aber nichts Besonderes. Die Atmosphäre macht das aber wieder wett, deshalb waren wir ein zweites Mal dort. Beim ersten Mal war der Service etwas besser, vielleicht war es eine andere Bedienung, ich erinnere mich nicht mehr.

Einfach nur überteuert für das was man bekommt. Geschmacklich gut aber nichts außergewöhnliches. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise für zwei Personen für 23€ was von der Größe eher einer Vorspeise entsprochen hat. Auch das Hauptgericht war für 23€ zu teuer und man wurde nicht ansatzweise Satt.

Wir bestellten vegetarische Gerichte für zwei Personen, bekamen aber Essen mit Fleisch und Hühnchen serviert. Da es in Soße war, bemerkten wir das zunächst nicht und probierten. Nachdem wir darauf hingewiesen hatten, dass es nicht vegetarisch war, wurde es zwar ausgetauscht, aber es war trotzdem eine unangenehme Erfahrung. Die Preise waren für die kleinen Portionen viel zu hoch. Wir zahlten 80 Euro für zwei Personen und waren am Ende nicht einmal richtig satt. Das Essen schmeckte durchschnittlich, nichts Besonderes. Außerdem wurde uns gesagt, dass wir nur bar bezahlen können.

Ich war schon oft hier und der Geschmack ist immer noch derselbe – einfach fantastisch! Ich habe die vegetarische Option für zwei Personen probiert und sie war unglaublich lecker. Besuchen Sie dieses Restaurant und genießen Sie authentische äthiopische Gerichte.

Das Essen war gut, der Service freundlich. Die Preise sind allerdings nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir haben uns eine Vorspeise geteilt, die aus drei Samosas bestand. Dafür wurden uns über 30 Euro berechnet. Auch die Hauptspeisen, die bei fast 30 Euro pro Mahlzeit liegen, sind zwar lecker, aber den Preis insgesamt eher nicht wert.

Wir waren zu viert hier und hatten über die Fork-App gebucht, da es dort einen Rabatt gab und wir mal etwas Neues ausprobieren wollten. Das Restaurant hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente mit farbenfroher Einrichtung und gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und wurde auf einem riesigen Teller zum Teilen serviert. Die Getränke waren allerdings ziemlich überteuert und machten fast 50 Euro der 120 Euro aus, die wir am Ende bezahlt haben (ein Getränk pro Person und zwei Wasser zum Teilen). Als wir bezahlen wollten, hieß es dann plötzlich, das Kartenlesegerät sei aus unerklärlichen Gründen kaputt und wir müssten bar bezahlen. Da wir natürlich nicht genug Bargeld dabei hatten, mussten wir zehn Minuten zum nächsten Geldautomaten laufen, was die ansonsten schöne Mahlzeit etwas trübte. Insgesamt kann ich das Essen empfehlen, der Service lässt aber zu wünschen übrig.

Top Laden, Service war teils etwas überfordert hatte man das Gefühl, aber das Essen ist wirklich Bombe. Es schmeckt sehr authentisch, soweit ich das beurteilen kann und ist deshalb auch nicht unbedingt für jeden Gaumen geeignet. Die Getränkekarte ist reich an Länderspezifischen Drinks und dann werden diese auch noch schön serviert. So geht Kulinarik!

Great place, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, but the food is absolutely fantastic. It tastes very authentic, as far as I can tell, and therefore might not be for everyone. The drinks menu is full of international specialties, and they're beautifully presented. That's how fine dining should be!

We were at Blue Nile One as a team, and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious and the staff incredibly friendly. If you're looking for a different dining experience, this is the place to go. However, why one star less? Someone at the next table was using an incense stick, which created a smell that some of our team members couldn't tolerate and had to leave the restaurant early.

Very friendly service, excellent Ethiopian food that's eaten with your hands, all in a cozy atmosphere in the heart of Old Schwabing. And recently, they've finally started accepting card payments. This rather small restaurant is certainly no longer a hidden gem and has been very popular for many years – so reservations are a must!

The restaurant itself is recommendable, but the appetizers are a complete rip-off. Based on the portion size, we thought half of our food was missing, especially considering the €12 per person charge. The wait time was also considerable. We waited about an hour for our food to arrive. The food itself was okay, but to be fair, it's not suitable for everyone, hence the 3 stars. You should like sour bread.

The others did not seem so, but this is who was assigned to us. Pretty unfriendly and a very long wait for the food. They were also out of several items (appetizers and drinks). What a horrible experience eating at this restaurant, from an ethiopian client perspective the food was inedible, very small overpriced dishes and most importantly not fresh. The apex was the bad customer experince we incurred. For start the injera bread was stale and not made on the day, following this the minced meat for the Kitfo dish, was not fresh. The tips dishes were maximum 200gr but of the lowest quality of meat and were served with hardly any sauce. The mixed platter dish, with meat sauces and veggies, was solely abhorrent. The zighni and white meat part were a reheat of overcooked frozen sauces similarly to the vegatables, the dish was very stale or bitter, clear sign of the lack of quality in their cooking. On tasting all the elements, this was highlighted to them, the manager/owner was informed by his staff and rather than addressing this issue, his attention was devoted to the next table. We left the dishes as per the attached images, paid for the meals and I requested for the manager to come to hear our comments. In fairness he did come and having explained my concerns on the dishes, he proceeded to swoop on the plates, snapping them of our table while swearing in German. In summary avoid this establishment, you are being scammed to paying over the top prices for less than edible not fresh items, in addition to have been the rudest owner/manager, who rather than listening or discussing the issue, chose to swear. The flavors were good, and the meat was substantial. The mead was quite unique. The steamed buns were a bit sour, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, they were a good companion to the main course. The service was very friendly. The serving was easy and fun. Eating requires your hands.

I was not satisfied with the service. We were a group of 10 people, and while one person did not order any drinks and another did not order food, the waitress spoke to us twice for several minutes, explaining that they would not accept us next time and how the restaurant normally makes money. This made us feel pressured and negatively affected our overall experience. The food itself was nice, and I am glad I had the chance to try it, but the atmosphere left me feeling uncomfortable. Because of this, I am unlikely to return.

Great Ethiopian food and great group experience. If you're at least two people, I'd recommend to go for the shared plate. For the shared plate, the food is served on big metal plates on top of the traditional injera (Ethiopian sour flatbread). It's plenty, tasty and the price is very reasonable

We spontaneously stopped by Blue Nile yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is rather inconspicuous on a side street, but we received a very warm welcome. We opted for the three-course menu. The large main course platter alone would have easily filled us up. It was a lot of fun trying so many different dishes! The menu cost just under €35 per person, which I think is fair given the quantity and variety you get. We'll definitely be back 😊

My wife and I ordered the vegetarian appetizers in a vegan version. To be on the safe side, we even took the trouble to call ahead and explained how important it was to us that the food be completely vegan. We ordered the meal through a delivery service. After a 60-minute wait, we received it. Unfortunately, there were cheese crumbs in my food. I then called again and pointed out their mistake. The only response was that we should leave the dishes out. No offer of compensation was made. I pointed out that I couldn't eat the meal for that long. Since I have a milk protein allergy and would have liked to replace the dish with a vegan one, the person I spoke to said, "I can't do that" and hung up. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant for vegan orders.

The food was delicious, as always, but the service seemed like it had to be done, but it wasn't done with enthusiasm. To split the bill, we were asked to use our phones to calculate the amount ourselves, and paying by card would have been preferable. We've always been to the other Blue Nile and won't be coming here again! It's a real shame.

The food is great, the service is nice but sometimes disorganized and you often don't get a bill and card payments are often not possible. For the last 3 visits I have not received an invoice and card payment is not possible. Also the reservation was blown once. Waiting times for food are often 45-60 minutes or more. Please work on it. And the prices are too high compared to all other Ethiopians in Munich considering the mediocre service.
