MS Utting on bridge Lagerhausstrasse in München

Alternative beergarden with a tourist ship from Ammersee thats been lifted onto a Bridge ;) Lots of artisanal food trucks around, options range from vegan ice cream with toppings to burritos, bowls and chips with dips.

One of my favourite places in Munich! It has a large surface on the bridge and it is beautiful in every corner, so, although it is usually rather full, you will always find a place to sit and enjoy it. I prefer clearly the outdoors space, as the inside of the boat feels like it echoes too much. You have to wait often in long lines for the food kiosks, but I would say that it is worth it. I highly recommend the Pizza, which I prefer every time. The Crepe that I once tried was too small and empty for its price. The prices are also generally good.

Food a bit expensive, atmosphere super cool, both inside and outside. The adjoining outdoor area is also beautifully done, very comfortable. The staff on the ship was super nice.

Wow! What a cool location. The food, especially the pizzas, are incredibly tasty. Authentically Neapolitan. Unfortunately, very long waiting times at peak times. Caution: only card payment possible. Mega cool view from the ship, very relaxed atmosphere.

Good food in a really cozy and interesting boat integrated on a bridge. Must try it. But the service was not perfect and you should order and get your food by yourself, which was a little inconvenient.

Very good experience with delicious food . A very kind and friendly woman offering amazing African food with a smile. Authentic pasta from the Pizzeria Da Vito . Enough space for meeting groups of friends or a cozy date. The bistro on the upper deck offers nice coffee and drinks (accept cards only). Nice hangout place👍🏽😍

My card didn't work and cash isn't accepted, so I couldn't consume anything. Too bad. Really inflexible and not customer focused (the paying customer should be allowed to decide HOW they want to pay).

Very funny place, so you must stop over when in München. Where else you can find a boot on a bridge in the middle of town. Around the boat a little restaurant. Try the African one yummy

Was in Munich over the weekend. It was the second time there, just a great idea to put a ship on a bridge. The staff are very friendly and the prices are normal for Munich. I'd love to come back 👍🤗.

We drank cappuccinos on the upper deck. It was very good and the service was very friendly. The ambience is unique and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Had lunch at Die Afrikanische Zauberküche and it was delicious. Super friendly staff. Alte Utting itself is a very special place and has lots of nooks and crannies to explore with food and drink to keep you satisfied. Enjoy your experience.

Unique location. About the food: The pizza was good, the drinks a bit expensive.

Very poor service and food quality, even gave me food poisoning. We came with a large group and had to wait multiple hours before the food was delivered and then it wasn't enough for everyone. The food tasted not so good and made me sick. The location is very interesting and has a cool vibe, but food and service leaves a lot to be desired.

Unique location, diverse and sometimes unique dishes and the staff is great. In addition, live music is often played.

A “must” for all visitors and of course all locals 😅

The African magic kitchen is a dream

Waiting way too long time for the food. The African food is mediocre. The restaurant / bar doesn’t seem to be capable to handle the large group.

Super nice location. Various good food offers. Perfect for enjoying the sunset or watching one of the many live acts.

We have on September 7th. celebrated an anniversary of our association with around 45 people from all over Germany. Everyone was really excited about the location. And I would like to say that the Alte Utting team was simply great. Attentive, extremely professional and totally nice. And the catering by the African magic chef Sarjo was fantastic! Thanks team!

A particular atmosphere on a ship stranded in an urban area. Multicultural space where you can enjoy foods of different nationalities. A must in Munich

A very interesting location, considering that it is a real ship :) It can contain a lot of people, which you can't tell at first glance. Relaxed atmosphere, fast service. I recommend coming at sunset, but keep in mind that at this time, in good weather, it's full of people and you will have to look for a place for a while.

Cool place! Something alternative

It's a dream place.. amazing to go the only thing I didn't like and got a mouth disorder is a choice of food I ate. the other thing is that you wait a long time in the line for the food beer 🍻 they have to bring others to get it off the queue.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and just a good idea with the ship on the bridge.

The ambience is unbeatable and invites you to spend sociable evenings. The only drawback at this place is the self-service, which is typical of the Munich beer garden landscape. The pizza was good and is recommended, unfortunately I couldn't try the other dishes.

A more alternative take on the traditional Biergarten. Sadly the boat was already loaded with people so we sat in the garden area behind it. The beer is good, the pizza amazing and the vibe overall was good. 100% recommended for a slighty different experience in München.

Great food from afrikanische Zauberküche! The lady there is super nice and the ambience and view from on the Alte Utting herself are just immaculate. Great for a night out with friends. Live DJ, plenty of seats and opportunities for a drink or crêpe or pizza.

The Alte Utting is truly a unique place in Munich! A disused ship on an old railway bridge. The atmosphere is simply fantastic, whether you come to eat, drink or just chill. Fantastic beer garden!

Very casual idea to create a different kind of location with the old Utting on the bridge. I was just here for a few beers to take a closer look at the whole thing. Friendly staff and a great view if you look for a spot at the top. Already a cool atmosphere on the boat. Toilets are of course small and outdated. Downstairs there is a small beer garden with live music and some food stalls. In my opinion, things are very, very alternative there. Tie-dye pants, dreadlocks, and everything seems a little hippie-ish to me. Don't get me wrong, the audience is friendly and everything... But it's not "my audience" ME! too alternative, like 20 years ago on the Tollwood. Nevertheless, the location (the ship) has something and you can easily stop off for a half hour.

Very unique place in a central location in Munich. Live music and the possibility of eating different dishes. Excellent Bavarian beers and also an all-Italian pizza from Da Vito! Recommended for those who want to spend a pleasant evening in company and eat in an evocative and youthful place.

Extraordinary excursion destination with a small beer garden below the ship

Very relaxed. We had our own drinks with our meal, which were actually taken away from us. It is customary in Munich that you are allowed to bring your own food/drinks, especially if you eat it on a beer bench. They could have told us in a friendly manner. But the waitress immediately got hot-tempered and took our drinks away. By the way, we bought the food on site. A no go for us. Therefore no recommendation

Alte Utting is an old ship that has now been converted into a beer garden. It's quite big and you can eat and drink something there. The location is unusual, quite nice but it could have been a little more appealing, such as the toilets. Otherwise quite okay. . There are probably programs offered there too. We were there in the afternoon and just had a drink. It was self-service and only card payment was possible.

If you reserve, you can park at Lidl opposite. Otherwise parking is rather difficult. But great beer garden, great idea with the ship

Nice place. Everything is self-service. Economical prices. But it would need more care and repairs.

I can't rate food today. We were only here for a drink. Ambiance is great. Nobody will get seasick on what is probably the highest ship in Munich. Payment and deposit return takes place using an EC card.

The walk up to the space is stunning, and the complex is a constantly-unfolding adventure space to see and explore and visit and find your own nook. Beautiful and charming.

Extraordinary ambience - sometimes very loud in the covered area, making it difficult to have a conversation. The (African) food is very good. When the weather is good, there is a great atmosphere on the upper deck and around the ship.

I have the yurt for a birthday party on July 6th, 2024 booked with 34 people. The planning and advice was excellent. The food is excellent at every stand and the Service on site was great. The yurt is a super cozy location for a celebration and the ambience on the Utting is simply amazing. We will be back!!!

At first we were a bit surprised that the ship was lying dry. Unfortunately it rained yesterday, but that didn't really affect the mood. The ship is divided into several rooms and there is a large outdoor area. You can also sit comfortably outside under the trees. There are four small restaurant stalls that sell different food. Really great concept. Despite the rainy weather, there was a lot going on. We can only recommend everyone to stop by.

The old Utting (a ship) in the middle of Munich Sendling high/across Lagerhausstrasse. Very great atmosphere. Food ranges from African to hearty, and events are also offered. But it's also worth just stopping by. After work, meeting friends, relaxing from everyday life. Really a great place. Hopefully it stays with us.

If you want to go somewhere a little offbeat for a drink or to eat, this is the ideal place! Very unusual place but where various food stands, a stage and a bar are hidden I recommend !

We were there today for the public viewing of the Germany game against Hungary. Unfortunately, we had to realize that in this very alternative location there really didn't seem to be any event technicians who were aware that at 6 p.m. in June a screen without any form of blackout or with the projector on hand simply wouldn't be able to produce a visible image. So seriously, you didn't even start the broadcast until 10 minutes before the game started and then you just couldn't see anything at all. The frustration among the guests - some of whom, like me, had been there since 4 p.m. - was correspondingly great, but no one there seemed to be interested in this. To be honest: it's definitely an extraordinary location and the guys at the pizza stand definitely know their stuff!! - but unfortunately you can really avoid public viewing in this location, especially since the view from many places is so limited that everything was squeezed right in front of the screen... only for all the guests to pull out their own cell phones in the end and thus no sense of community at all. It's really a shame about this game, this experience and this otherwise definitely interesting location. We were very disappointed!
