Something must be done about the restroom situation. I was just there, and the door to the middle restroom can be opened from the outside without much effort. Impossible!!

I was there with the Munich Twins reunion. We sat upstairs in the old ship. The pizza was delicious, freshly made. The prices are reasonable, too.

We were there over the weekend. A very unusual but still cool concept. It's like a kind of "self-service beer garden," with three different stands where you can get food. From vegetarian options to classic dishes like schnitzel or pizza, there's a wide selection. You have to pick up your food yourself, and you can actually choose your seat afterward. On the ship itself, there's "only" a drinks bar and seating on the lower and upper decks. A bit surprising, but not bad. The food itself was really good and not too expensive. But nothing that would blow you away. But the ambiance alone makes a visit worthwhile! When else can you eat on a ship and look out at the street? :) However, a visit in summer is definitely recommended, as it's simply too cold outside in the fall, and the atmosphere can probably unfold its full flair then. Parking is difficult; the nearby parking garage always charges a flat rate of €10. We didn't see any parking spaces directly on the street. It's best to get here on foot or by public transport.

We ate African cuisine and I confess that it was the most delicious I have eaten in Munich so far! Everything was excellent! An alternative restaurant experience in an old steamboat on an old inactive bridge! It also has a garden where you can have dinner or drink your beer in a lush environment!

A unique location with varied food. Everything is self-service. Pizza is recommended. Restrooms in need of renovation. Easily accessible by bus. Everything is a bit enchanted. Friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit, an alternative to all the tourist hotspots.

A very cozy beer garden and ship. It's relaxing to enjoy a delicious cappuccino and a delicious cake on deck. Parking isn't ideal, but the old Utting is definitely worth a visit.

This is a must-see. I've never seen such a beautiful location. A relatively large area. The boat, and many other beautiful spots. A place to relax, chill, and listen to live music. The food was incredibly delicious. We had something from the African restaurant, pizza, and crepes. Everything was absolutely delicious. We'll be back!

A rather unique location; who would think of putting a decommissioned excursion steamer from Lake Ammersee onto a disused railway bridge in a big city and using the whole thing as a beer garden?! There are various stands selling various snacks as self-service. The wood-fired pizza is truly delicious.

Super pretentious – and they charge 4.50 for a Helles, even by the bottle... You don't get your deposit back if you pay by card. That's the typical "hobo-chic lifestyle" that's lived here. A little bit of Berlin for those who usually drive Porsches.

A truly incredible place with a surreal aesthetic and atmosphere. It transports you to another world: good food, beer, live music, and cool summer days.

I was there for the quiz night, which was very nice, but it seemed like the questions and the corresponding answers weren't well prepared. Otherwise, the grounds are very beautiful, and sitting on the Utting and enjoying the view over Munich is incredibly romantic. The food is delicious and there's a very good selection. I'd love to come back again. However, you can only pay by card; cash isn't accepted. Sometimes there's a live band playing, and it can get very loud, depending on where you sit.

Beautiful ambience, restaurants are quite crowded in the evenings, but the Italian and African restaurants have very friendly service, at the Donner restaurant everything takes forever and communication is difficult/rude

A cozy place to meet and spend time together, with casual lounge music on summer evenings in the pleasant beer garden, delicious food, and something for everyone. You might have to wait a bit longer for food and drinks, especially for pizza. The Donnerwirt was our favorite, and the prices are reasonable for Munich. In winter, the Alte Utting is also very cozy inside for sitting and drinking mulled wine.

First of all – I love the old Utting. This review concerns the food stand, which sells, among other things, stick bread and a type of fried potatoes. Yesterday, a friend and I bought a portion of fried potatoes. The taste was quite disappointing, and the potatoes didn't seem to be cooked through properly. At some point, an employee came and took our dishes – we never saw the €2 deposit again. But my main criticism: we both had stomach cramps that evening and the following day. That's the only thing we both consumed that day. People can have different opinions about taste, but that shouldn't be the case with health.

The Alte Utting is a true highlight in Munich. A converted old ship on a bridge, it has been transformed into a trendy venue with a bar, restaurant, and event space. The ambiance is exceptional, offering a great blend of urban flair and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu and drinks selection are diverse, and the quality of the food and drinks is excellent. The atmosphere and unique setting make a visit unforgettable. One small drawback is that it often gets very crowded and noisy on weekends, which can somewhat dampen the atmosphere.

We would have loved to eat and drink there. Unfortunately, the two young women weren't able to serve us two drinks, even 15 minutes after opening. Okay, that wouldn't have been a big deal. But unfortunately, the way they told us this was unfriendly. It's a shame, we were looking forward to it. So we left without having accomplished anything.

I LOVE alte utting. I went 6 times and I always order the pizza (as an italian, I can say it's very good). The atmosphere is nice, summery and vibrant. There is usually live music and lights to make atmosphere Perfect for a summer night

Very nice atmosphere, good selection of drinks. The queue for ordering food is surprisingly long. The italian food is good. The arabic food might be tasty but not very clean as I noticed a few red flags. In general probably one of my favorite spots during the summer.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great for sitting outside today; it was too cold and windy, but I imagine it'll be a great place to relax after work on a beautiful summer day!👍

Great place to grab drinks. There are many open places to sit and in the evening there is live music. There are several food vendors to choose from to allow for different tastes in a group. Personally, I only had a few drinks, but the food that others were eating looked very good. It was very unique with the boat and shipping containers. I would absolutely come back.

Unusual venue, we went on late Saturday afternoon , food stalls just opening, we had the African curry’s from the African food stall Excellent , very tasty also several beers to wash it down.

Very good pizza from the pizza oven! I especially recommend the one with walnuts, Camembert, and honey! A surprising combination.

Very cool location for a drink 🍷 Beautiful sunset spot! I can highly recommend it. When we wanted to leave and return our deposit, there was a cash register issue, which isn't a problem per se, but they could have been a bit more friendly in their efforts to resolve the issue. Instead, they rather rudely told us we had to queue first, even though we (the only ones there) were doing so. I found that a bit awkward, but otherwise, it was great 👍🏼

Unfortunately, the Alte Utting can no longer fully convey the charm of its days on Lake Ammersee to Munich. Perfect for student conversations, accompanying drinks, and quick snacks.

There are few places more stylish than an old steamboat standing on a railway bridge! A great place to celebrate birthdays, bachelor parties, company parties, etc. The service is always pleasant and there is a great selection of different dishes, from African cuisine to Turkish, pizza, and pancakes.
