A very magical place in which you can drink beer and have a good pizza on a boat in Munich!!

Different experience to have dinner on a boat... But in the middle of Munich

A very interesting location, considering that it is a real ship :) It can contain a lot of people, which you can't tell at first glance. Relaxed atmosphere, fast service. I recommend coming at sunset, but keep in mind that at this time, in good weather, it's full of people and you will have to look for a place for a while.

I was just there today out of interest... there were a lot of children of all ages... there was a summer festival... there would have been music in the evening...

It's a dream place.. amazing to go the only thing I didn't like and got a mouth disorder is a choice of food I ate. the other thing is that you wait a long time in the line for the food beer 🍻 they have to bring others to get it off the queue.

The ambience is unbeatable and invites you to spend sociable evenings. The only drawback at this place is the self-service, which is typical of the Munich beer garden landscape. The pizza was good and is recommended, unfortunately I couldn't try the other dishes.

A more alternative take on the traditional Biergarten. Sadly the boat was already loaded with people so we sat in the garden area behind it. The beer is good, the pizza amazing and the vibe overall was good. 100% recommended for a slighty different experience in München.

Great food from afrikanische Zauberküche! The lady there is super nice and the ambience and view from on the Alte Utting herself are just immaculate. Great for a night out with friends. Live DJ, plenty of seats and opportunities for a drink or crêpe or pizza.

The Alte Utting is truly a unique place in Munich! A disused ship on an old railway bridge. The atmosphere is simply fantastic, whether you come to eat, drink or just chill. Fantastic beer garden!

Very casual idea to create a different kind of location with the old Utting on the bridge. I was just here for a few beers to take a closer look at the whole thing. Friendly staff and a great view if you look for a spot at the top. Already a cool atmosphere on the boat. Toilets are of course small and outdated. Downstairs there is a small beer garden with live music and some food stalls. In my opinion, things are very, very alternative there. Tie-dye pants, dreadlocks, and everything seems a little hippie-ish to me. Don't get me wrong, the audience is friendly and everything... But it's not "my audience" ME! too alternative, like 20 years ago on the Tollwood. Nevertheless, the location (the ship) has something and you can easily stop off for a half hour.

Extraordinary excursion destination with a small beer garden below the ship

Very unique place in a central location in Munich. Live music and the possibility of eating different dishes. Excellent Bavarian beers and also an all-Italian pizza from Da Vito! Recommended for those who want to spend a pleasant evening in company and eat in an evocative and youthful place.

Very relaxed. We had our own drinks with our meal, which were actually taken away from us. It is customary in Munich that you are allowed to bring your own food/drinks, especially if you eat it on a beer bench. They could have told us in a friendly manner. But the waitress immediately got hot-tempered and took our drinks away. By the way, we bought the food on site. A no go for us. Therefore no recommendation

Alte Utting is an old ship that has now been converted into a beer garden. It's quite big and you can eat and drink something there. The location is unusual, quite nice but it could have been a little more appealing, such as the toilets. Otherwise quite okay. . There are probably programs offered there too. We were there in the afternoon and just had a drink. It was self-service and only card payment was possible.

If you reserve, you can park at Lidl opposite. Otherwise parking is rather difficult. But great beer garden, great idea with the ship

I can't rate food today. We were only here for a drink. Ambiance is great. Nobody will get seasick on what is probably the highest ship in Munich. Payment and deposit return takes place using an EC card.

The walk up to the space is stunning, and the complex is a constantly-unfolding adventure space to see and explore and visit and find your own nook. Beautiful and charming.

Extraordinary ambience - sometimes very loud in the covered area, making it difficult to have a conversation. The (African) food is very good. When the weather is good, there is a great atmosphere on the upper deck and around the ship.

I have the yurt for a birthday party on July 6th, 2024 booked with 34 people. The planning and advice was excellent. The food is excellent at every stand and the Service on site was great. The yurt is a super cozy location for a celebration and the ambience on the Utting is simply amazing. We will be back!!!

At first we were a bit surprised that the ship was lying dry. Unfortunately it rained yesterday, but that didn't really affect the mood. The ship is divided into several rooms and there is a large outdoor area. You can also sit comfortably outside under the trees. There are four small restaurant stalls that sell different food. Really great concept. Despite the rainy weather, there was a lot going on. We can only recommend everyone to stop by.

The old Utting (a ship) in the middle of Munich Sendling high/across Lagerhausstrasse. Very great atmosphere. Food ranges from African to hearty, and events are also offered. But it's also worth just stopping by. After work, meeting friends, relaxing from everyday life. Really a great place. Hopefully it stays with us.

We were there today for the public viewing of the Germany game against Hungary. Unfortunately, we had to realize that in this very alternative location there really didn't seem to be any event technicians who were aware that at 6 p.m. in June a screen without any form of blackout or with the projector on hand simply wouldn't be able to produce a visible image. So seriously, you didn't even start the broadcast until 10 minutes before the game started and then you just couldn't see anything at all. The frustration among the guests - some of whom, like me, had been there since 4 p.m. - was correspondingly great, but no one there seemed to be interested in this. To be honest: it's definitely an extraordinary location and the guys at the pizza stand definitely know their stuff!! - but unfortunately you can really avoid public viewing in this location, especially since the view from many places is so limited that everything was squeezed right in front of the screen... only for all the guests to pull out their own cell phones in the end and thus no sense of community at all. It's really a shame about this game, this experience and this otherwise definitely interesting location. We were very disappointed!

Great vibes. A good selection of beer and wine, with a range of food to choose from. The crepes were wonderfully made. Definitely a place to hang out when the weather is good.

Definitely worth a detour if you want something to eat and drink. There are different food options (pizza, African, German, crepes, ...) the pizza was 👍🏻. Prices absolutely okay. The ambience is great. Apparently you just have to be prepared for a bit of a wait at the stands at peak times. We were lucky.

A very special location - like a permanent food festival! In the middle of the countryside, very varied.

Unique location, but a bit difficult for group conversations because the band is too loud in the beer garden next to the stage. Due to the waiting times at all stands for both orders and deposits, waiting is a main activity if you also want to eat there. I will eat beforehand in the future, especially since it wasn't clear to me what was in the dishes, such as fries that were too spicy, and the waiting times really annoyed me. What I also don't understand is why you can no longer pay for drinks in cash. Had to pay for drinks with an EC card, but the deposit could no longer be paid back to the EC card. Then had to use another debit card, which isn't particularly user-friendly. The Utting is ok in small groups, but in larger groups it is only recommended in the top of the ship where it is not so crowded or in the beer garden far away from the stage and only without food.

When you walk past the Alte Utting for the first time, you think it is a ship bridge. The ship is actually standing on an old railway track, which makes it even more impressive. Unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't go in. Still a very exciting place with a unique atmosphere. I will definitely come back when it's open to enjoy the full experience.

Absolutely awesome location! A ship in the city - nice! But that's about it... Almost everything there is extremely designed to ensure that you don't create customer loyalty... Vodka? Yes, but only between 1:59 p.m. and 2:03 p.m.? It only works twice because... yes... why?! ...and in the mega Jamba savings subscription. Deposit? Yes, of course! Get paid back to your Tigerenten Club account within 468 and 524 business days... In Dominican Pesos! Of course, payment is only possible in Pacific submarine dollars, etc. If you're up for some trouble! Then you are right here! All in all, Utting is like the hot Ulrike you always wanted, but who then just complains that you're lying on her hair as soon as you have her! Unfortunately only good at first glance...

Absolutely bad service and a total rip off with the deposit money. I wasn't given enough deposit tokens and was refused change when I returned nine drinks due to a missing token. Absolutely underground service orientation. The deposit money that I “received” has still not been credited after a full week. Feel free to continue optimizing yourself at the expense of your paying customers. So that they don't come again in the future. In any case, it was the last time I was there.

The place has very chill environment, and the pizzas are very good. Also, there is enough variety of beer and cocktail options which are also good.

Simply a unique atmosphere. A ship over the road on a bridge! And beautiful fairy lights around it for a great atmosphere! We sat on deck in great weather and had a drink. It's self-service - the guys behind the counter were very friendly and quick at work. We really liked it 👍

This is more of a place where you go with a group of friends, or rent out a room for a party than a fine dining location. The place hosts many food vendors offering everything from pizza, lentils with rice, chips (Pommes) and West African food. Drinks are surprisingly reasonably priced (€3.50 for non alcoholic drinks). The fact that you're having a fun time in a literal boat suspended above a road makes this quite an experience!

Everything was self-service, several queues were necessary, only credit card payment, even the deposit return was only possible via credit card, toilets were dirty. The whole thing is more appearance than reality.
