A rustic, cabin-style restaurant with a lovely terrace. It was very busy and seemed somewhat hectic. We had a reservation for 7 p.m. The kitchen closes at 8 p.m., so we had to decide quickly. The food was OK, but nothing special. The price, however, was perfectly reasonable.

We are already regular guests, so to speak, and will continue to be so. The food is just good and the whole atmosphere is just great. Very nice staff and friendly and courteous managers

The restaurant is cozy, and when the weather is nice, you can sit outside on the veranda. The food tends to be hearty, with some typical Saarland dishes, but they also offer salads and other options. Six of us were there, and everyone was very satisfied; everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and the value for money was good. The service was very friendly. It was my first visit, but certainly not my last.

We celebrated our daughter's baptism at the Bliesgau Scheune and were absolutely thrilled. Everything went perfectly. The coordination beforehand was super pleasant and uncomplicated, all our requests were met, and the day of the celebration was truly perfect. Semo and his colleagues were there for us in the waiting area, and we have rarely experienced such courteous and attentive service at a celebration like this. The food was also fantastic! The children were warmly welcomed here. We were truly delighted and will definitely be back! Thank you for the wonderful celebration with you!

I can recommend this restaurant. Despite being very busy, our food arrived quickly, and our special requests were accommodated. Unfortunately, the stuffed dumplings weren't cooked all the way through. They apologized and served us two free drinks.

Yesterday, the three of us spontaneously stopped by the Bliesgau Scheune. Besides the delicious food, the lovely ambiance, and the great drinks, I especially want to mention the staff. Special praise goes to the friendly service manager. We felt completely at home, laughed a lot, and will definitely come back.

The food, service, and ambiance are good, and we've been here several times. BUT, after today's visit, we noticed a significant price increase. Schnitzel with cream sauce: almost 2 euros more expensive. Chicken nuggets with fries: 1 euro more expensive. Cordon bleu: 2 euros more expensive. Then, the veggie grill plate: suddenly the same price as about 1.5 months ago, but without the side salad. This now costs an extra 4.50 euros...almost 30% more than in April 2025. On top of that, I personally find the portions a bit smaller than before. What justifies these price increases? The purchase prices have probably actually gone down in recent months. We always enjoyed coming here, but today it really wasn't fun.

We've been to the Bliesgau Scheune several times over the past year, looking for a spontaneous, uncomplicated bite to eat. Overall, the menu offers a pretty nice mix of different dishes, including several schnitzels, burgers, grilled meats, salads, tarte flambée, and Saarland dishes. During our visits, we've sampled dishes from all categories of the menu, and overall, we consider the dishes we've received to be of a fairly good standard, although they haven't really convinced us in terms of taste yet. The dishes, which were generally good quality, unfortunately had a rather bland and unspectacular flavor due to a lack of interesting seasoning. We do see potential for improvement in the dishes, which are generally good portion sizes and therefore well worth the price. The restaurant consists of a pleasant dining room in the shape of a large log cabin, rustically decorated with many wooden elements, thus offering a truly quaint, cozy atmosphere. There's also a small outdoor terrace where you can sit and enjoy a cold drink in nice weather. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive, and our food and drinks have been served very quickly on all our visits. Based on our previous impressions, this restaurant seems to be a good place to stop for a bite to eat and/or a drink. However, in our opinion, the food currently doesn't compare to the taste of better restaurants. Nevertheless, we will be happy to continue dining here in the future.

We were there yesterday. The food was available for me gluten-free. The menu isn't clearly labeled, but the staff and kitchen staff are knowledgeable and even referred to a personal discussion on the matter. I was completely satisfied... I'd be happy to come back. :-)

Today, Sunday, there were 10 people at the Scheune restaurant. On the buffet menu. Very good, except for dessert, just chocolate mousse in small doses. However, the chef is very unpleasant with his female staff in front of customers. Too bad the atmosphere is so disastrous with a manager so disrespectful to his staff. We're not going to set our foot there anymore.

We were with several people in the packed Bliesgau barn on Saturday evening. The service staff was very nice and attentive. The drinks came quickly and the starters of various tarte flambées were very tasty. We didn't have to wait long for the main courses. Barn burgers, barn schnitzel, grilled plates and cordon bleu were well received by the guests. Pinot Gris from a renowned winery in Perl was offered at reasonable prices.

We were in the Bliesgau Barn on Christmas Day. Friendly welcome, lovingly decorated. It was very organized, for example you could use the buffet from two sides, so there wasn't a huge rush. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Great price-performance ratio. We'd love to come back.

We actually hadn't planned to end up there at all. We wanted to go to the thermal baths for the first time. When we saw how small the building is and how many, mainly French, cars are parked there, and read the reviews, we decided to drive on. A little way up the road we found the barn. I asked my husband to go and have something to eat there. I actually knew her from the TV show, but I hadn't been there and didn't know where she was. Just coincidence. We were greeted very friendly and asked for a table for two. After a quick overview we were given a small table. With the note that it is reserved from 6:30 p.m. It was just 4:35 p.m....that should be manageable. It was too. We were served very friendly, the food came in a reasonable time and was really tasty. We both had a salad. We didn't feel like we were being rushed for a minute and were able to really relax and eat well and come down from the long journey. We have experienced this differently in other restaurants. The ambience is beautiful. I think this is a dream, especially at winter Christmas time. The decoration is made with a lot of love. You just feel cozy. The salads were fresh. The raw food too. This is exactly what people often like to take out of the bucket/jar. This was really fresh. The house dressing is awesome. Maybe a little garlicky. But I like that. And the bread that was served with it... finally a bread that hadn't been lying around in the basket for hours. It was great. That evening you could have just served me a whole baguette and a bowl of dressing and I would have been happy. We would love to come back. Now you know where it is.

Today I was in the Bliesgauscheune for the first time, even though I only live a few hundred meters away. As a local, you hear a lot of street opinions about the barn, and they ranged from super fine to oh dear... The barn is rustic in its surroundings as well as in its presentation. You can reach the interior via an entrance covered with wood chips, which is dominated by a giant TV screen at the rear end. The tables are well arranged and there is more than enough space for the usual two people as well as larger families. The waiters are very friendly and well trained. But the most important thing is the kitchen, and it surprised us more than pleasantly! The barn grill plate we ordered contained more meat and sausages than you could possibly eat. Fresh produce, freshly prepared and very tasty. We have already been guests in many good and not so good restaurants in Europe, but here and today I was annoyed that I had only now found my way to the Bliesgau Scheune. Big compliments to the chef and the operating family..

We were here for the first time today and we have to say it was really tip top. The ambience is outstanding and allows you to stay for several hours. The food was simply excellent, rustic but with a bit of a conscience and the taste was very good with attention to detail. The service is really top, very accommodating, super friendly and you never have the feeling that you are just a guest.

Zitat Bedienung:dafür sei es noch zu früh. BITTE?? Sonntags um 12.30 Uhr. Lächerlich! Wenn ich raten muss, wann es das Essen gibt, das auf Karte angeboten wird fahren wir nicht mehr hin. Schade

Ordered for pickup: French onion soup becomes regular onion soup. Price remains the same. I was disappointed when after ordering French onion soup (for pickup) I only received onion soup. French school onion soup is usually made with white bread and gratinated with cheese. That's what it says on the map. Unfortunately neither gratinated nor bread with the soup. If it is not possible to offer such a product for collection due to packaging reasons, please indicate this on the card or when ordering at the latest! ---------- Update: The order was not placed by me. I was informed about the aluminum shell by the person who ordered it - that wasn't the problem either. But if you order French onion soup and it "can't be served like that", I still expect the ingredients (cheese and bread) to be served elsewhere. If cheese and bread cannot be packaged for transport, i.e. the soup is downgraded, you could at least reduce the price as a courtesy. -------------- I also ordered a salad that was slightly oversalted (dressing) for my taste. Maybe it's nice to sit up there, but based on this experience I can't recommend the place for eating out.

I've known the place for a long time. Unfortunately, things have slowed down a lot. Salad totally silted up, side dish and meat burnt. Anything can happen, but the response from service is simply inadequate. "Let me know in the kitchen..." and nothing else happens. 4 Food not edible Response only after insistent questions at the counter. We were there with 10 people a week. From 8.45 p.m. the staff was busy dismantling and we had to ask three times (in 20 minutes) whether we were getting anything else. Poor performance twice this year. We no longer go there and no longer recommend it.

Leckeres Essen, gute Bedienung, tolles Ambiente... Ein Platz an dem man alleine, zu zweit oder mit der Familie den ganzen Tag verbringen kann.... Viele Möglichkeiten sich zu beschäftigen und einen schönen Tag zu verbringen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Was here for the first time today. The food is tip top. The burger was incredibly good, not even real burger restaurants can keep up with that. The staff is very friendly, not intrusive and looks after their guests very courteously. For us this evening was not the last visit here to the Bliesgau barn. Just awesome. Nice atmosphere, very nice service, very dog-friendly, good advice and impeccable food. Were there at lunchtime, there was a smaller menu, but still enough choice. The sheep's cheese was fantastic, as was the Greek tarte flambée and the Brizza Saarland and Balkan. Brizza=mixture of pretzel and pizza, I had never seen it before, was curious and was completely picked up. Next time I'll try the burgers. Absolutely clear recommendation!

The barn is really beautiful inside. A new terrace covering is needed outside. Toilets are clean and have a campsite feeling! The food is great. Rightly the winner of My Local, Your Local. The Barn Schnitzel with Black Licorne Jus is particularly delicious! Definitely worth a visit! Prices are quite okay.

Sagenhafte 25 min hat es gedauert, bis mir der Kragen platzte. 4 Bedienungen haben mich total ignoriert. Eine hat sogar den Tisch noch von meinen Vorgängern abgeräumt, ohne mich zu fragen, was ich möchte und mir eine Speisekarte da zu lassen, die sie vom Nachbartisch abgeräumt hatte. Ich denke, die dachten ich warte auf den Bus. Anders kann ich mir diese Unprofessionalität nicht erklären …. Es wird hier einfach nicht besser… Anscheinend nur billige Hilfskräfte, nicht vom Fach.

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Adventure Golf und hatten für später reibungslos einen Tisch in der Bliesgau Scheune online reserviert. Wir waren etwas zu früh, was kein Problem war. Plätze waren genügend vorhanden. Selten haben wir in der letzten Zeit so nette Servicepersonen kennen gelernt: kompetent, freundlich, hilfsbereit und lustig! Das war sehr angenehm. Wir haben Grillteller, Schnitzel, Lyonerpfanne und Burger probiert. Durchweg gutes Essen, vielleicht an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas zu wenig Salz. Aber das lässt sich schnell ändern. Das Ambiente draußen war rustikal aber gemütlich. Vom Innenraum kann ich nichts sagen. Uns hat es gut gefallen. Danke für wirklich aufmerksame und nette Kellner👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Top service, extremely fast, the best schnitzel I've eaten in a long time.

If you just want to eat well, the service is good and everything is, in my opinion, very good value for money, then you've come to the right place. There is also something for every taste. Everything from the Saarland trio, burgers, salads, schnitzel and tarte flambée is recommended... It was a pleasure... keep it up...

The furnishings of the Bliesgau barn are a matter of taste, in my opinion it is definitely cozy, just a little too dark for my liking. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately they waited 15 minutes after the menus were brought. The menu itself is very extensive, there are Saarland classics, burgers, schnitzels and more. I had ordered a grill plate. The portion size was huge, everything tasted good, only the sausages could have been fried a little longer. For dessert we ordered the (actually) homemade apple strudel. This was really outstanding and couldn't be compared with the poor frozen apple strudel that is sold as "homemade" in many other restaurants. It should also be emphasized that the price-performance ratio in this restaurant is very good.

We booked the Bliesgau Scheune exclusively for our private wedding at the beginning of June and what can we say, the whole celebration was even better than we imagined. The entire team at the Bliesgau Scheune responded well in advance to our wishes and ideas. When it unfortunately started to rain just in time for the wedding, everyone reacted very quickly and the seating was quickly converted from outside to the barn. This is how the wedding ceremony was saved! The service was super attentive and everyone really enjoyed the food (cold plates and tarte flambée for the champagne reception, grill buffet for the main course and dessert buffet in the evening)! There was also something for the children, they could let off steam in the adventure park. The final party in the barn was really good. The ambience and the photo box created a great atmosphere! We are super grateful to the Bliesgau Scheune team. You made this day the best day of our lives! We can only recommend the Bliesgau Scheune to everyone!

If you find yourself on the parking space at the Saarlandtherme every now and then, a visit to the Bliesgau Barn is a MUST. Delicious food at reasonable prices in a cozy atmosphere.

Went for dinner on Whit Monday. Service was disorganized and sometimes unprofessional. Food (Lyon pan) was floating in fat. We won't be going there any time soon. We were always happy in our memories.
