We had a wonderful meal at Trattoria Italia on Monday. We ordered pizza, which we highly recommend. For dessert, we had tiramisu, which was fantastic. The seating in the entrance area wasn't ideal. But it was a beautiful restaurant and the service was fantastic and fast. The ciabatta bread that came with it seemed to be homemade and the original olive oil was simply delicious.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't so pleasant. First, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Furthermore, the service was extremely slow, the food arrived late, the bill included food and drinks we never ordered, and in some cases, orders were simply forgotten. The food was okay, but could be better. It was also extremely loud and crowded, making it difficult to have a conversation. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

The ambiance is very nice. The seating is comfortable and modern. The pasta prices seemed rather high to us. The pizzas were solid, but a bit sour for our taste (presumably from the peppers—was it pickled?—and the tomato sauce). The service was okay. In the women's restroom, the light was broken in one toilet, and there was no toilet paper in the other.

I went there with my family for dinner. We ordered various dishes—pizza, pasta, appetizers, and salads. Unfortunately, everything was of substandard quality. The pizza tasted like a frozen Dr. Oetker pizza, the pasta was completely tasteless, and the salad was simply disgusting. For us, it's never again!

We arrived as a group of seven, had made a reservation, and were seated at a table. Unfortunately, we had to wait for 30 minutes without being served (no menus, no drinks, 28 degrees Celsius in August). We watched as new arrivals were immediately served with drinks. Ultimately, we had to get up and ask for a waiter, who dismissed me rather rudely with a rude "Just a moment." Once our orders were finally taken, things started looking up. The food was delicious; in the end, another waiter took care of us, who was extremely friendly and attentive, so we only get one rating. Lovely ambiance in the old town, delicious and cozy.

We didn't really feel welcome. If we'd driven up in a Porsche, we might have been noticed more. The atmosphere was okay, but the food was overpriced and of poor quality.

Yes, just a little patience with the service

For me, it's the best Italian restaurant in the Wiesloch area. 🫶🍕🍷If you want Italian food, then only come here to the Trattoria. 💪✌️ The staff is very friendly. 🫶👋

It was a town festival. Maybe that's why. But when I entered the restaurant, no one even noticed me… that's crazy.

Great Italian restaurant with a beautiful interior and a large terrace right on the town hall square. Very friendly staff and excellent food.

The location is good, and you sit in one of the most beautiful squares in Wiesloch. The food is unfortunately only mediocre. Unfortunately, the service is very inattentive, sometimes unfriendly, and often nonexistent. And this has been the case several times now.

We were there again last night and were once again thrilled: excellent food and wonderful, friendly service.

The place has declined considerably over the past year... (compared to previous visits) Prices have risen relatively sharply, but the quality has actually deteriorated. The food arrived after a 40-minute wait. We had pasta with fish, which was definitely not fresh, and paid €22 for a salad with "wild herbs," which was just three not-really-cut lettuce leaves with carrot slices stuck together and mushrooms.... The mushrooms were okay, but the rest was sad. The worst was the pasta with beef strips, where the beef strips were missing.... No server even bothered to check, which is why the pasta was basically just eaten, and then we were told that we should have said so at the beginning. It's not as if we didn't try to draw attention to ourselves. (The logic makes sense, but you still have to pay for two mistakes on their part). For dessert (tiramisu), I had to wait another 30 minutes (it was okay, but not worth the wait). After eating dessert, I went back inside to wait for a waiter to pay, because after 15 minutes, no waiter bothered to look over. Five minutes later, and there was no one there. Pizza was okay. But I definitely won't be going back, because at other restaurants, you can expect at least good food or service, and here, neither was the case that evening.

Super unfriendly staff. The place was nearly empty, and we went to take a seat. The waiter did not even stop us when entering the terrace and then complained that he could not remove us since we were already seated and could order. The Aperol Spritz we had was watery. We did not have food, but it was a very unpleasant experience.

Definitely a recommendation from me. The wild herb salad: Yummy

Lucky are those who find a seat here at dinnertime—most likely around 9 p.m., the Italian hour. This family-run restaurant is rightly extremely popular and highly recommended.

As an individual guest, you're obviously not welcome here. While I sit at a table as an individual for 10 minutes without being acknowledged, a family with three children who arrived five minutes after me already has their drinks on the table. Apparently, they can afford to pick and choose their guests here. I'll probably go eat my steak at Artemis after all, where you're still valued as a customer even if you're alone.

Unfortunately, I can only give it one star. We had reserved a table for 8 people for 7:45 p.m. We arrived on time and, after being left standing for almost 15 minutes, had already checked in. After another 10 minutes of being ignored, the waiter came and said we would have to wait until a table became available. We reserved a table and have to wait! It's outrageous. When we asked how long it would take, the only response was, "I don't know." We made it clear that we weren't going to stand in the way for 30 minutes to finally get our reserved table. This was ignored. In fact, we were simply ignored... We eventually left. But that doesn't seem to have bothered anyone. I've read about this behavior in other comments here, and I have to say: The food may be as good as it gets, but if you treat your guests so ignorantly, you shouldn't be surprised if you're no longer recommended. At least an apology for the inconvenience would have been appropriate. That didn't happen either... What a pity...

We've been here a few times now - over a long period of time - and have been absolutely thrilled every time! The food is consistently delicious, fresh and prepared with attention to detail. Today things went particularly quickly, our food arrived quickly and, as always, was a pleasure. The store is stylish, the service is attentive and friendly. An all-round successful visit – we will definitely continue to come again, very much!

Food was okay, pasta could be more Al dente and bigger boll of buffala could be used. But it’s the only restaurant in that shitty hole where you can pay with card. What is very important - the staff is extremely handsome

Absolutely fantastic food and very friendly and attentive service. The menu offers everything you'd expect from a good Italian restaurant. Meat dishes, fish, pasta, and, of course, pizza. The antipasti alone is an absolute dream.

I travel a lot throughout BW for work and am always looking for good cuisine. Passersby sent me here. At first I was recognized as a tourist, but that wasn't a problem as it was easy to talk to the staff. Starter: Bruscetta, I didn't know it like that before. It was great. Four variants that even made me want dried tomatoes, which I never liked. Main course: Pizza Callzone. Crispy, fluffy, läggaaaa. Very flavorful. Easy to eat into both dishes. It’s on my top restaurant list for me. The whole thing including a drink for 25 euros. There's definitely nothing to complain about. By the way, I found out that the chef comes from Sicily. You can see the influence in the bruscetta. The map also reflects it. Please stay true to yourself and maintain the standard. You're really good. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

I made a reservation days in advance at 6:30 p.m., was there promptly at 6:30 p.m., but a table wasn't available for us until 7:20 p.m. We had to stand and wait in the aisle between the guests' tables for 50 minutes. Other groups arrived after us and they all made reservations, and they also had to wait 40-50 minutes for a free table. This is just embarrassing and NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. And then the waiter was offended when there was no tip. I should have demanded compensation for the disrespect instead of giving a tip.

The tuna tartare, the tuna tataki, the pasta dishes on the daily menu and the mini paninis are incredibly good 😘

Excellent food, make sure you make a reservation otherwise you won't get a seat.

What is special for us (now for more than 20 years!!!!) is the atmosphere that you bring to it, through your warm welcome and care, of course delicious food and wonderful ambience! What an incredibly delightful Italian spot! It reminds me of a hole in the wall sort of Italian spot in New York City or in Chicago. The restaurant is built into the side of a hill and is really cool on the inside. But let’s talk about the food. It’s out of this world!!! I loved my time here! Try them out!

Unfriendly is embellished. On the outside it looks like an upscale Italian restaurant but then... The three of us arrived at around 9 p.m. After waiting, it was placed at the uncleaned cat table at the door. The menus were thrown into the liquids on the table by the junior manager - handing them would have been nice. Then we asked for a rag to wipe the table. It was then brought, a dirty red towel, and thrown on the table in front of the guest. Intense exchange of words - no insight from the junior boss. Speaks for itself. Not recommended. Zero stars. The Greek place around the corner was great.

I ate lasagna here, which was nicely prepared and tasted okay - tasty, but not outstanding. The price of the restaurant is okay. The location is convenient as there is a car dealership nearby which makes visiting easier. The waiters were friendly and attentive, which made the experience pleasant. Overall a good Italian restaurant if you are nearby.

Unfortunately a big disappointment! After 45 minutes at the table we got our first drink. Another 20 minutes later we were finally “allowed” to order the food. I was really looking forward to the spaghetti carbonara because it was prepared according to the original recipe (guanciale, pecorino and egg). At least that's what it says on the map. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The supposed guanciale (Italian pork cheek) turned out to be conventional bacon from the supermarket. The sauce, if you can call it that, was so dry that it resembled scrambled eggs. All in all, not a successful evening. At least there was a nightcap on the house. But unfortunately we were disappointed here too, as the Ramazzotti was only enough for 4 out of 8 people.

There were two of us there. The restaurant and the outdoor area are really very cozy and offer a high quality of stay. The food was super tasty. Really recommended. The pasta tastes particularly good because you can tell that it is homemade. The only negative criticism goes to the service and the waiters. The lemonade wasn't really shaken beforehand and was served open-faced. Everything had settled at the bottom of the bottle, so the taste was obviously not full-bodied. I only became aware of it when the bottle was empty. Apparently there is a couple among the employees (the boss's son, from the way it came across? Since discounts and shopping prices were loudly exchanged with regular guests) Next to us there was a loud discussion about the relationship, at a level that we could no longer carry on a conversation ourselves. All well and good if the guests didn't have to suffer. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else to drink, even though our drinks had been empty for half an hour. And the nice waitress with the glasses couldn't see us anymore because the waiter couple was spread out next to us. The service can definitely still be worked on, but unfortunately the good food alone isn't enough...

Present on time for reservation. Then no table free! So we had to wait another 40 minutes for a table. 1 hour after reservation we had our first drink and a table that hadn't been cleaned. The food was generally solid. You shouldn't order pizza (: Ambience is average. PS: the Tainacher sodas come in 0.33 l bottles. We never received the promised apology from the waiter for the waiting time.

We had a great evening, the father and son owners are great, we managed to understand each other between French, English and Italian. The young waitresses always had a smile and made the effort to speak French with us, we laughed a lot together. My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time today and loved the food. There is an extra point for the excellent quality. We'd love to come back.

It was quite busy, so we had expected a longer waiting time. However, some of the tables that came after us got there earlier. Some tables were simply overlooked without apologizing for the times or informing the guests how long it would take. In total we waited almost an hour for our food and it wasn't even good. Both pastas: Pasta Pesto (gluten-free) and Spaghetti Carbonara were very oily, so that about 3 to 4 TABLESPOONS of oil remained in the plate. Plus, the pesto didn't really have anything to do with the actual dish.

In summer there is a beautiful and large outdoor area on cobblestones in the pedestrian zone. “Unfortunately” very well known, which is why you should definitely make a reservation and you can't always get a space... Inexpensive, incredibly tasty and cozy atmosphere.

I've never experienced anything like this!! Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong... We had already ordered a table weeks ago and when we arrived we were sent outside because it would take about 20 minutes. Ok, that can happen... as compensation we got two drinks on the house. After 30 minutes, we went in again to ask what the status was as it was starting to get really cool. We were promised a bruschetta on the house and were sent out again. After about 40-45 minutes we were brought to our table. The situation was unfortunate, but it can happen. It was very crowded. Then we ordered drinks. At some point an extremely unfriendly waitress came and said that a drink was sold out. Well, then an alternative was chosen... when it came, it was "peppered" onto the table along with a HOT glass. Then one of the two starters came. Despite repeated reminders, the promised bruschetta was a long time coming. After the first starter had already been eaten, about 20 minutes later the second starter finally arrived. Another 30 minutes later we were asked what we had ordered again, the young waiter wanted to "look over it" again... it was clear to us that they had forgotten our order. That can happen too, but due to the previous incidents it wasn't very pleasant... We had had enough and were just about to leave when the main course finally arrived (it had now been 2 hours since we arrived). There was nothing wrong with the food. In the end we were paid off, not a word of apology or even a farewell. It was so disappointing I can hardly believe it...!!! I have never felt so unwelcome and out of place. It's a real shame, there was a lot of potential.

Unfortunately only 5 stars can be awarded here. I would like to forgive more. On Sunday we celebrated communion with 21 people in the trattoria and everyone loved the food. As a payer I was very satisfied, actually more than that. From the senior manager to the junior manager to the waiters, everyone was great. I can recommend everyone to eat there with a clear conscience.

Simply world class! Top service, simply real Italian hospitality really lived out. We come here often.

The restaurant was very chic. Nice ambience. The food, however, didn't convince us. The pizzas were middle class, nothing special, calzones were actually quite small and the Italian salad was barely edible, including eggshells in it. We recommend going for a drink, we won't eat there again. Prices were ok.

We had been looking for a really good Italian restaurant for a long time and were pleasantly surprised yesterday, March 2nd, 2024, at Trattoria Italia in Wiesloch. Cozy comfortable atmosphere!!! Very nice and extremely friendly staff!!! We had a mixed antipasti starter and then homemade pasta. This was EVERYTHING super tasty with TOP quality!!! Got a table spontaneously and without a reservation. Was well attended. Drinks and food came quickly. Pizza 3x very good. Chili oil lacks the bang. Tolerable - but the only small flaw in the pizza would be the lack of seasoning, so it's a shame. Ingredients good and everything very fresh. Delicious dough. I think you can also eat other dishes well here. Everyone is very friendly, although service sometimes seems chaotic due to 4-5 different people. The main thing is cordial. I can definitely recommend it.

Essen lecker, und ging auch heute recht schnell. Gegen ende wurden wir sehr gestresst zu bezahlen. Dafür kommt der Chef, trinkgeld geht aber hoffentlich auch dann an unsere nette Bedienung.

Sehr netter Ort, nettes Personal, man fühlt sich sehr heimisch, Essen dauert etwas länger aber dafür frisch und super lecker, wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder wenn wir wieder vor Ort sind
