Bistro Mikado meets Kulisse in Krefeld

The vegan Christmas breakfast (2 euros extra) was very good. The vegan baguette with ratatouille is also very tasty.

Hello, I can highly recommend the Bistro Mikado, we were there this morning with 7 people, everything was very nicely done, the food was great, the service was very, very nice and funny. The ambience made you immediately feel at home, so if you want to have a delicious breakfast, I highly recommend the place 👍

09/29/2023: Mikado meets backdrop as a temporary solution until April 2024. Still the best crepes and baguettes in the city in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly staff and a sufficiently large menu round off the overall result and make you look forward to your next visit. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible here, alternatively cash or PayPal payment. There are parking spaces around the location.

Service was very nice and dog friendly. At brunch everything is plentiful and fresh. Again and again.

A few days ago I wanted to have a nice evening with someone and we went to the Bühne, a nice restaurant in the center of Krefeld. Apparently the two service staff had the same intention, because the last round was announced at 9 p.m. When I asked, I was told that there was little going on that evening and that they would now call it a day. At this point in time there were two tables in the restaurant with 4 or 5 people each and at least two tables with 2 people each... it's a shame, so I'll probably have to spend the next nice evening somewhere else..

The table reservation was quick and easy. (Spontaneous visits are also possible if possible.) Ambience is appealing and cozy. The service was very good, extremely friendly and helpful. The selected starter and the main courses ordered were very well prepared and tasty. Price/performance ratio is appropriate.

Today we were at the Mikado with our colleagues (45 people). It was opened especially for us. As always, the Mikado team was very friendly and accommodating! Thank you for the nice and smooth stay in your great atmosphere at the Heeder factory!!!

I can recommend the Mikado at any time. I've been going there for ages and always come out feeling very happy and inspired after a lovely stay ♥️

Hearty, delicious, very fond of children and dogs, just makes you feel good

are regularly on site with a group of around 20 people. some had delicious baguettes, others had crepes. everyone was satisfied. Of course you reserve for such a large group. Everything worked out great and the mikado team looked after us well.

Nice atmosphere, delicious food

Went here for breakfast with the family, the selection at the buffet is large, but unfortunately the warm dishes have cooled down. What wasn't well organized at all is the setup of the buffet, you have to wait in line for 10 minutes, which doesn't get any smaller in between, to help yourself. The coffee is then available in another queue. I won't come back for breakfast.

I really enjoy being there! It's rare to find such friendly service. As a guest you feel welcomed into the family. The atmosphere is very cozy. Even after visiting the theater at Fabrik Heeder you can still get something to eat and drink here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wedding anniversary breakfast - just great. We were even given a nice, quiet place in a corner so that the “Wauzi” could have some peace and quiet 🫶Very extensive, something for everyone, very tasty coffee, everything on offer was delicious. A nice place to have a drink and something to eat (crêpes or baguettes). The staff is very friendly and the ambience is really nice. The prices for cocktails and food are not cheap but still in proportion.

This was my first time here since the location moved. The ambience is successful, beautifully done. Service also nice. The selection of drinks is good and the cocktails are also quite OK. Even though it was still empty, the baguette took quite a long time. The topping was also quite good, but the bread wasn't that great and the top was also a bit very "crunchy". There are certain better suppliers for the baguettes. Overall it doesn't have much in common with a French baguette. What's also annoying is the fact that you can only pay in cash, that's no longer up to date, hardly anyone carries cash around anymore. What I haven't tested are the crepes, but if they're the same as they were before the move, they're delicious.

Had breakfast with a group again today. This time in the Bistro Mikado in Krefeld. Food, service and ambience top. At the beginning the innkeeper was, I assume it was him, extremely friendly and humorous. Since we all took the breakfast buffet, we all paid separately at the end. Then it started. This innkeeper had to complain loudly about the fact that there were only 9 of us instead of the stated 10 people. That wouldn't work, he would have bought for more, etc. It may be annoying, but I understand the tone that all the tables notice. Then there was some complaining about the fact that people paid individually and therefore there was less advice for the employees who didn't feel like working on Sundays anyway. My problem? I had to pay 19Euro50 and gave 24 Euro, I don't have to comment on that. As I said, everything was great. Only this innkeeper will not see me again.

Sunday breakfast is the best breakfast there is

Today the three of us had breakfast at Mikado meets Bühne. The welcome was very warm and friendly and our initial request as to whether we could swap the table originally intended for us was immediately fulfilled. Then it was off to the buffet. For my coffee there was foam made from oat milk and the breakfast selection was very extensive... starting with freshly prepared scrambled eggs, fried eggs, pancakes, salmon, various types of cold cuts and cheese, yoghurt, quark, muesli, various types of bread and rolls, homemade yeast plaits and a very tasty, fresh and homemade fruit salad. The service was always very friendly and attentive and it was a wonderful start to the Sunday. we're looking forward to next time!

As always perfect. The crepe with spinach, sheep cheese, alioli and egg is incredibly delicious. Baguettes also taste very good.

I don't even know how to describe the cozy, friendly, almost family atmosphere. You really are a guest here. Once you've found a comfortable place to sit in the somewhat outdated establishment and ordered something delicious from the menu, there's hardly any reason to want to leave.

Partially baked baguette from Aldi, very little toppings and all for more than €10, is a rip off. The atmosphere is fine and the staff is friendly, but seriously, more than €10 for a stale baguette is a joke.

Atmosphere and service are great. I like to be a guest there. Unfortunately, things don't work that way with food. I found the baguette to be too dry and the crepe also had too little seasoning. In my opinion it doesn't do justice to the price. I can only recommend the salads. I ate all the dishes on different days.

You can only give 5 stars. Food 5 stars + Ambiance 5 stars + Service 10 stars + Our next wedding anniversary in the Mikado is already marked on the calendar. Thank you for the lovely evening. It was simply a mega breakfast buffet and extremely nice staff

Hier in der Kulisse hatte ich einen ganz besonderen , schönen Abend . Die Release Party von dem neuen Krefeld Sampler : Kurt Felts , 11 aus 1000 . Zwei recht bekannte Krefelder Bands : Vivid sun und Frau Mathei singt hatten beide sehr gute Auftritte . Einzelne Musiker zeigten sich besonders exzellent. Beide Bands machten viel Spaß und richtig schöne Musik . Jede Band interpretierte einen Kurt Felts Song . Die LP ist empfehlenswert. Eine Bereicherung von Krefelder Musik auf der Grundlage der sehr bekannten Schlager von Kurt Felts . Die Atmosphäre insgesamt war sehr schön . Eine sehr nette Lokation und freundliche, fleißige Bedienung . Das wird ein besonderer Abend für viele Anwesenden bleiben ; denn in Erinnerungen schwelgen kann sehr schön sein !!! Eins meiner (unserer) "Lieblingsausgehorte" in Krefeld . Sehr nettes Ambiente und vor allem: Ralf und Christian sind ausgesprochen freundlich und den Gästen zugewandt !!

Ich liebe die Kulisse / derzeit Mikado. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ich mag das Ambiente. Der Besitzer sowie das gesamte Personal ist sehr kundenzentriert. Man musste etwas Zeit mitbringen, um dann auch zu essen, hat mich jedoch nicht gestört. Bis bald, und dann nehme ich im gemütlichen Sofa platz .

Waren hier zu einer Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen.(Geschlossene Gesellschaft) Soweit ich sagen kann, das Essen war gut,das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich.Das Ambiente Rustikal mit einen Hauch Pfiff.Würde gerne hier auch im normalem Betriebsalltag hin gehen.

Ambiente tranquillo. Personale molto gentile. Mangiato veramente bene. Prezzi nella norma.

Wir haben mit einer großen Gruppe gebruncht und waren alle restlos begeistert. Das Essen war klasse und die Atmosphäre wunderbar. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Personal ist stets bemüht einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen, das fand ich sehr beeindruckend. Trotzdem hat es mir persönlich dort nicht gefallen, denn man muss sehr lange warten.

Sehr kleine Speisekarte aber dafür super lecker.

Schöne location, tolles Frühstücksbuffet, allerdings nichts für jemanden der auf gut bürgerliche Küche steht. Meinem Mann war es zu gesund. Ihm fehlten Croissants & Nutella. Ich fands köstlich & unsere Mädels 3&4Jahre hatten viel Spaß und waren dankbar sich ungezwungen bewegen zu dürfen und in der spieleecke zu rutschen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und uns gefällt auch, daß die Karte klein aber fein ist und vor allem frisch zubereitet. Die Bedingung war sehr freundlich. Ein perfekter Abend!

Gutes Ambiente,und netter Service.Die Auswahl an Wurst Käse könnte etwas größer sein,auch fand ich es schade das es keine Brötchen/Croissonts gab.Die angebotenen Speisen waren stets frisch und lecker

Ein richtig tolles Frühstück Mal anders

Wir haben heute den Frühstücksbrunch in der Kulisse gegessen. Das Essen war lecker und es gab auch mal andere Sachen die sonst bei einem brunch nicht so üblich sind. Zum Beispiel einen sehr leckeren Couscous Salat oder eindeutig selbstgemachte Tortilla mit Gemüse. Leider war die Organisation und Bedienung aber alles andere als gut. Tische wurden willkürlich zugewiesen und auf heiße Getränke, unabhängig vom Kaffee der auf allen Tischen stand, musste man sehr lange warten. Die Angestellten waren zwar sehr freundlich aber wirkten auch ziemlich unkoordiniert und überfordert. Da von vornherein klar war dass sehr viele Gäste kommen (das sagte man mir schon bei der Reservierung) wäre eine Bedingung mehr die sich ausschließlich um die bestellten Getränke kümmert vielleicht gar nicht schlecht gewesen.
