Birlik Restaurant in Hilden

Last week, I went to this restaurant with my family for dinner. The table we sat at was dirty, it took 15 minutes for the waiter to clean the table. The food tastes mediocre, there is no trace of the old quality. If you sit at the tables next to the windows, look down slowly to your side, you can't see your eyes because of the dirt. The sinks are filthy, you can't take a step. The waiters greet you with faces 5 inches wide. We also decided to drink ayran, but we regretted it. They put 1 spoon or less of yogurt in 1 glass of water, mixed it and brought it to us. I will never go there again.

I had breakfast and kebab at another time, both were great, I recommend it, it's a nice place.

The food is good, relatively inexpensive, and the staff is friendly. Parking is available, but quite tight. All in all, it's worth recommending.

I don't quite understand the restaurant's reputation. 1. There was no more doner meat left around 6 p.m. on a Sunday. And it must be said, it wasn't busy. It was more of a coming and going situation. 2. You could order, but the drinks took a while to arrive. It's no wonder, then, when the waiter keeps going out to smoke. 3. At the Adana kebab, you could count the fries. A bit steep for the price. 4. Instead of lamb, they shoved something else into our sac kavurma, but it definitely wasn't lamb. 5. We paid to a very grumpy/annoyed cashier. It was also interesting to observe that guests we apparently knew were served very quickly, even though they arrived later in the restaurant. The amount of food on their plates was also massively different from ours. Sure, you shouldn't compare, but with the same dishes???

I wanted to order takeaway. They said it would take 10 minutes. It turned out to be 25 minutes. Okay, I was offered a cup of tea instead. The food was delicious, if a bit spicy. BUT the value for money wasn't right. For €40, a doner kebab on fried cubes with yogurt and appetizers – very reasonable – for two people. The advertised pide with spinach was completely missing. We wouldn't recommend this place!

We were there for the second time today with six people and were absolutely thrilled! From the delicious breakfast to the large platter in the evening, everything was perfect. Friendly staff and delicious food at fair prices! The restaurant is always busy, so reservations are recommended. A small point deduction for the open-plan ambiance and the restrooms. While everything was spotlessly clean, it was in need of some renovation. We will definitely eat here again! 💖 Our recommendation for good food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been there regularly with several people for about 8 years. Initially one of the best Turkish restaurants in North Rhine-Westphalia for us in terms of price/performance and quality and ambience. There are now new owners, as the staff say, and unfortunately you can see that in all respects. On the last three visits, all meat dishes except the chicken dish were left because they were inedible. Waiters pass it on but still collect the full price. Basically everything from the theory is still the same In practice, you do everything wrong. I think you'll notice that in your sales now. Add to that the dirty and bad-smelling toilet and kitchen at the back, no matter how beautifully the terrace was made. Isn't the turnover enough to slowly bring things up to speed? In any case, you have lost us All the best and much success for the future

We celebrated our wedding dinner in the Birlik Restaurant and were more than satisfied all around. From the loving decoration to the delicious food, everything was perfectly organized. Everything went smoothly. There were around 60 of us and we had our own area, which was very nicely prepared. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. The food was excellent and freshly prepared. The service was first class. The staff was attentive, friendly and always available. We were regularly asked if we would like to dance and appropriate music was played straight away, including a nice opening melody. The children were also thought of: they were able to play in the yard undisturbed, which relieved the parents a lot of stress. We can only recommend the Birlik Restaurant. It was an unforgettable evening, thank you for everything!

I had a meal here and had a kebab plate, it was super tasty and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The portion was very filling. Meat was well prepared, not too dry and not fatty. Would recommend it to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Even though the store was half empty, we were only assigned a seat either in the middle of the aisle or next to a group of eight with 4 children, where it is of course very loud. So you could forget about eating comfortably. For the chicken skewers you wanted to pay extra for the fries. This is the first time I've heard that fries cost extra when the chicken platter costs €17. So you could choose between rice and bulgur. The bulgur was already clumpy and cold. The “salad” consisted of some cabbage, carrots and onions just slapped together. So the only thing left was the chicken skewer, which didn't taste particularly good either. The drinking bottles were grabbed by the neck and the glasses were placed upside down on the dirty table. All in all the worst restaurant I've been to.

Meats are always fresh and make you feel super “delicious”. Otherwise, of course, you can get better.

Steak and chicken skewer plates and the rice were served cold and carelessly. In addition, the side dishes for the steak were missing. When the waiter was made aware of this, he also took 10 minutes. It was pretty empty at the time so the service could definitely be more attentive. Not recommended, especially not for the price/performance ratio.

This is not a restaurant. If anything a better snack bar. In any case, it's not comfortable. The table that had already been set was not clean. The side salad with the lamb chops and the steak, loveless and the carrots tasted like fish. Inedible. This was also confirmed by my two companions. The bulgur was only lukewarm. Flexibility also seems to be a foreign word. We wanted fries instead of rice with the rump steak. We were then told that this was not possible and that we would have to order fries separately. We only wanted 2 chicken skewers for our child, which wasn't possible here either, so we should choose a children's plate. I then said that we would have to throw away everything except the meat since my child is not a chipper. Then they turned a blind eye and brought 2 skewers, see picture, some burnt black. For these 2 small skewers on the plate without anything you paid 12.50 euros! We were still billed for 1 coke too much, which unfortunately we only realized when we got home. It was my birthday, my husband had organized that a candle on baklava be brought to me (they apparently couldn't do anything else, although the surprise was of course sweet). The only way I know it is that a little something is on the house for a birthday (we ate a total of around 120 euros!!) but we were charged 6.50 euros for the baklava. Overall, the store is totally overrated. We still gave the waiter a generous tip, he was trying hard and we made the best of it. Nevertheless, that was the first and last time there and unfortunately no recommendation.

We often visit this restaurant Berlik and are always pleasantly surprised. The food is always freshly prepared and very tasty. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating. The interiors have been enlarged which has improved the ambience. However, we would like to see better parking options as this can sometimes be a challenge. Despite the parking situation, we would like to come back because the quality of the food and the service are convincing.

Authentic store with reasonable prices, good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Overall a very great shop.

What is particularly noteworthy, however, is the restaurant's clear differentiation from the usual beverage brands such as Coca-Cola. Instead, a wonderful selection of alternatives such as Cola Turka or Uludag Gazoz are offered. As someone who consciously boycotts Coca-Cola and similar companies, I was pleasantly surprised to finally find a restaurant that shows responsibility in this way. For me, this is a decisive plus point that significantly influences my choice of restaurant. A restaurant that not only impresses with culinary delights, but also shows attitude. We'll definitely be back!

The Birlik Restaurant in Hilden offers a wonderful ambience that invites you to linger. The menu is varied and offers authentic Turkish dishes that are freshly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the mixed grill plate "Karışık Izgara", which is available for up to four people and is served with rice or bulgur. The employees, from the manager to the lady at the checkout, are extremely friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. The restaurant is ideal for solo travelers as well as for couples or families in love. High chairs are available for families with children and there is sufficient parking space directly at the restaurant. In addition, the food is halal and no alcohol is served. Another highlight is that all meat dishes are processed in our own butcher shop in Solingen, which speaks for the freshness and quality of the food. After the meal, a free tea is often offered, which rounds off the visit perfectly. The Birlik Restaurant is therefore an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm atmosphere.

We went there 4 adult, and ordered different food. İskender and Adana were good, but others were not. Lahmacun and pide were below the average. Service was so slow. Tea was cold. Prices are OK. Would I go there again. No. I would prefer some other places to try.

Absolutely not recommended on the weekend! Unfortunately, it's completely understaffed and the waiters are anything but attentive. We first waited 30-40 minutes in the cold, then another 30 minutes for a waiter who only half-heartedly set the table. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes when simply asked if kebab meat was still available. The meal itself took another almost an hour. Previously you could simply replace the fries in the dish with rice, but now you have to pay extra for them. As if the prices weren't already high enough, there's also this additional cost trap. Really disappointing

We came for dinner as a family. The atmosphere was nice, the waiters were friendly and the meat tasted very good. They start with oily lavash and appetizers, then they quickly bring your meals. I couldn't enjoy the lahmacun because its dough was a little thick and not crispy, so its food score is lower. The meat looked beautiful and was very juicy. I will come again, but I will not order the lahmacun again.

I have been a guest at the Birlik restaurant a few times and I have to say that it is the tastiest Turkish food, prepared in a charcoal oven or from the grill, that you can get north of Cologne or south of Duisburg 😂 The quality of the meat is great - especially the kebab - is absolutely top class. Unfortunately, in the restaurant you feel like you are in a fast food joint, especially when the dining room is full, the noise is really loud. The winter garden is again very nicely done and inviting and I find it much quieter there. But the toilets are an absolute no-go. Something really has to happen here! The condition was really disgusting on more than one occasion and I wonder why a little more value and attention couldn't be placed on it.

So it's an imposition, just don't go

This was our first time eating here and I was really impressed. A really very busy restaurant. Rightly so! The food tastes fantastic! Starting with the delicious starter you get, through to a huge selection of main courses and great dessert! Fast and good service from the employees. We'll definitely come back again when we're in the area. Clear recommendation if you want really tasty Turkish food. There is a limited number of parking spaces available, but you can definitely find something nearby if they are all full.

We visit this restaurant regularly and are more than satisfied with both the service and the food. The prices are fair, the food is always tasty and well prepared, and the staff has always been friendly. We've never been inside, so we can't comment on the ambience or the toilets. You could make it a little nicer outside, maybe with flowers or something to provide some privacy, the main street is just moderately nice😅 (The team has now implemented it wonderfully, now it’s really cozy there 🙌🏻)

The restaurant is functionally furnished without a lot of chichi, as we have seen in many very good restaurants throughout Turkey since 1986 (3 month tour of Turkey = 10,000 km in our own new car). The staff and the food on offer are so brilliant that many Turkish restaurant operators would have to learn a lot from this great and absolutely authentic business with the same food, a mega range and quite affordable dishes! I ordered kebab bags 1.5 hours ago with an actual delivery time of 30-50 minutes and received the message that the kebab skewer had fallen over and no more kebab was available today.
