A real recommendation! We had spare ribs and a veggie burger. Both were delicious. The chef is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. He runs his restaurant with a lot of heart. You can taste and feel it. Keep up the good work, and thank you for the wonderful evening.

There were three of us and we ate outside. The Chicken Cheese Bacon Burger is highly recommended. What should have been crispy was crispy. What should have been warm was warm. What should have been juicy was juicy. A generous portion. The sweet potato fries went well with the cocktail sauce. Chili cheese nuggets, chicken wings, and mac 'n' cheese were also top-notch. A surprising highlight were the ribs. These are often advertised as "smoked" and "slow & low" in other restaurants. Here, it's actually true! You can taste the love and dedication to the product – a flavor explosion!!! The prices are absolutely justified and fair for the quality of the food. A very nice, ambitious, and experienced owner with great ideas. All the best! I'll be back! Köszi!

Incredibly delicious, large portion and friendly and attentive service

Today, August 3, 2025, we visited this American diner for the first time with five people, including two children. After some initial skepticism, I was very pleasantly surprised. We had two spare ribs, one sweet potato fries, and two different 🍔. The portions are really generous; everyone was full and got the leftovers to pack. I've never eaten such a good coleslaw as the one they served with the spare ribs. The ambiance is great. All the food was plentiful and delicious. Everything is freshly prepared. I particularly appreciated the personal service. We received very friendly service and were entertained. The chef speaks to the guests like good friends and creates a warm atmosphere. This definitely has to be repeated. It deserves all the stars it can give. Thank you, Big Daddy

While passing through Croatia, we stopped at Big Daddy's Diner, had a delicious meal, and then returned to the RV park. The long journey was worth it; the service was great, even the teens thought.

I was there for the first time yesterday, and it certainly won't be the last. Following a recommendation, I ordered the ribs and I have to say I've never eaten better ones. Not even in the US. The chef told me he learned his trade in Texas, and you could tell he puts his heart and soul into his cooking. The interior is typically American, like an old diner. There's a dry-aging cabinet next to the jukebox, so you're sure to get a first-class steak here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic! The food was fantastic, both the chili burger and the pulled pork burger, as well as the spare ribs. You can tell that everything is of the highest quality and prepared with passion. If you're looking for cheap convenience foods, you're in the wrong place. Everything is fresh and prepared in-house, and you can taste it! Quality comes at a price, and this definitely won't be our last visit; it's rare to find food this good these days. The portions were so large we almost rolled home... The owner was incredibly friendly and treated us like regulars.

It was the best hamburger we've ever had. The coleslaw was also very tasty. You can sit outside or inside, the place is very cozy. The owner, Zoltán, was very attentive and kind. We will definitely be returning guests!:)

Today we spent a wonderful afternoon with our two daughters at this small but exquisite diner – and we are thrilled! The food was absolutely delicious – freshly prepared, lovingly presented, and simply delicious. From the burgers and nuggets to the fries and delicious sauces, everything was perfect. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with passion. A special mention goes to the owner of the establishment, who describes himself as "service, cook, and boss" – and that in the best sense of the word! He not only gave us a friendly welcome, but was also incredibly attentive and warm, especially towards our little daughter. With a charming smile and little jokes, he immediately won her over. It's rare to experience such genuine hospitality. An all-around successful visit. We highly recommend this diner, especially for families with children.

The restaurant was very stylishly decorated and had a vibe from the 70s in America, really top notch. The service was very polite and put their heart and soul into it, you could tell you just felt very comfortable. I was there with my big brother and my mother. The burgers and XXL chicken strips were very tasty, definitely a large portion and I can highly recommend them. I will definitely be back.

Amazing. Really good American-style food. Large portions. Huge burgers, top-quality ingredients, lots of selection. The ribs are incredibly good because they come from the smoker. The fries are always perfectly crunchy. The owner is really nice and friendly, and it's easy to have a conversation.

A lovely dinner, just as you'd expect in the USA, with a warm welcome from the owner himself. They serve everything from homemade milkshakes to iced tea. They gave recommendations; the three of us had a burger with fries. It tasted great, everything from the bun to the meat was delicious. A large burger, the knife positioned in the middle, making it easy to eat, juicy and well-seasoned. The fries were also delicious with homemade sauce. We were all full afterward. Great value for money for the amount. I highly recommend it. 👍😊

We were on a city trip in Passau last weekend. With an endless selection of restaurants, it wasn't easy to find something suitable. But since we were in the mood for something special, we ended up at Big Daddy's Diner. What can I say – it was absolutely the right decision. The food was very tasty! Everything was freshly prepared and stylishly presented. A large selection and great service rounded the whole thing off. The boss is a very nice guy. If you like burgers and the 50's lifestyle, you can't ignore Big Daddy.

We got lost in Passau (thanks DB) and found this great diner. Great burgers and chicken fillets! We had a chicken burger and a cheese burger! Very large portions and great service. This diner actually belongs in a big city. You find something like that very, very rarely.

Very nice service, good atmosphere, and plenty of good food

Near the station. The man explained long waiting is due to it is a restaurant not a fast food but the quality is fast food. Everything is over priced. 13 Eur for chip with sauce which stated in the Menu chip with steak and no steak was served. The price in menu is not clear (rewrite number which purposely make people think it's 7 and then you are charged 9.

Burger was quite good, but not the best I've ever eaten... for example, you're not asked if you want your meat medium rare, which indicates that it's frozen or at least not freshly minced, Angus or not... not bad in itself, but at premium prices I also want the premium version. Unfortunately, the prices were too high, especially at lunchtime. There are no menu options at all, which leads to a relatively empty restaurant at this time - the young people from Passau probably can't afford that at lunchtime, so only a few people passing through get lost from the train. That's why the suggestion to rethink the pricing at least here, which will also lead to better staff utilization on the part of the restaurant, since the chef has to be paid anyway. Nice diner setup.

Wow.....this dwarfs all other tents. At first we thought, wow, the price, but this is really worth it!! We ate the chicken wings 20, Mac & cheeseburger bacon, a classic chicken wrap and chicken cheese and bacon burger and I must say on the way back we drove past this again, it was so delicious!!! The owner is a very friendly man and the service is great!

I finally managed to go to Big Daddy's recently. The boss himself is very friendly and accommodating. He greets and chats with the guests. Of course you have to like entertaining and it takes a bit of sensitivity to decide who likes it and who doesn't. The offer is definitely plenty. We were able to try the chicken wings, a beef burger and a chicken wrap. The chicken wings have a very good breading, just a little bit of meat. The wrap was very good. Takes a while, but really fresh. The meat was juicy, the lettuce and tomatoes were crunchy, the sauce was good and sufficient! The burger was very nice to look at and really big and good. Only mistake, the coleslaw was IN the burger. As a result, the BurgerBun soon became completely soggy and you could no longer pick up the burger. I would serve that separately. SINCE the burger is too big to eat with your hands anyway, it doesn't matter if the coleslaw can also be eaten with a fork. I would pass up the offer of mixing an American BBQ with the Hungarian one. Here I would limit myself to one concept. But that's just a small, rather unimportant impression on my part. I hope that I will be a guest there again soon and am looking forward to new tests, because the restaurant is definitely worth a visit and the friendly boss is too.

I was here for lunch on Thursday lunchtime. You could find a nice place on the sun terrace and enjoy the first warm rays of sunshine. It was actually supposed to be a burger, but when I asked for a recommendation I was recommended a Szeged goulash. Original Hungarian. I wanted to try that - and it was awesome. Meat juicy and very soft. Potatoes perfect, beautifully prepared, waiting time 10 minutes. Price absolutely justified. One dish, large cola and a latte 24 euros. I've already paid more for bad food. But it was absolutely worth it. Very, very tasty, I'll come back there. The boss was very attentive and nice and knows his job. There's still heart and soul in it. Definitely recommended.

Four of us had dinner on Sunday. There was love and quality in every dish, the taste couldn't be beat, friendly conditions and great willingness to help. I can only recommend it.

First-class Hungarian goulash with a side salad featuring truly crunchy pickled cabbage. My wife had a crispy chicken burger, and she was also completely happy. The goulash was buttery soft and juicy, the spices in perfect harmony with the spicy pasta that came with it. The food was excellent, but what we liked best was the hospitality and helpful advice of the host. Here, I don't even need to look at the menu; I speak to the chef, and he will recommend exactly the right thing. I highly recommend it!

If you visit Passau, this is the perfect place for a delicious burger. The proximity to the train station is great and the taste is even better. The boss is definitely one of the most likeable people in Passau. Even though I met him for the first time today, it felt like we had known each other for a long time. This creates a very nice atmosphere in a beautifully decorated restaurant. A must visit for everyone who visits Passau.

The spare ribs were very tasty, the bones practically fell away from the meat as soon as you looked at them, very tasty. The price is absolutely justified and the portion is perfectly fine. In the crispychicken burger, the chicken was nice and big and very juicy, really phenomenal. Here the boss himself serves so we chatted with him for a bit. Very likeable and down-to-earth guy 👍 we can absolutely recommend the diner and will come back there as soon as we are back in Passau 😁

The place is very clean. You immediately feel like you're in a diner somewhere in the USA. The burgers are very large and taste delicious. It's definitely a place worth visiting. Just bring your hunger and you'll be taken care of immediately! I can definitely recommend it!

The service was rude, making a thousand comparisons to McDonald's after just asking. The food was good, but very unpleasant to eat. Drinks and food were taken away before you were finished. When paying, they often asked if you wanted to leave a tip.
