A huge compliment to the owner and his team. The aim of depicting a diner came across well and the music in the background corresponded to the ambience. Keep it up. We'll definitely be back. We celebrated our son's 18th birthday here with friends. The main courses were great and well portioned. Here you get something for your money. The sweet dessert as a surprise for the birthday child was super delicious. The owner always tried to ensure that everyone was satisfied and happy at the table, and his interaction with the customers was more like a friendly relationship, which you don't see very often these days. Here you definitely don't feel like a run-of-the-mill customer who is being passed through so that there is room for new customers. Please keep it up.

Location is really nicely decorated, the burgers are also good. The restaurant is just very expensive in terms of price. They advertise fresh and homemade ingredients - but I'm a bit skeptical. The burger roll is bought ready. The meat may be breaded itself, but it may also just be fried and poorly seasoned. The fries are frozen fries and not fresh potatoes. You pay around 15-18 euros for the burger, 5 euros for the fries and 1 euro for the ketchup. Oh yes, the drink, which was definitely not homemade, also cost 5 euros. What I also noticed negatively is the toilet. There is only 1 bowl for up to 38 guests?! I feel better at Burger King. Since I was there with the voucher book, I also rate this experience. This is where abysses open up. Just chicken, no beef? Only 1 book allowed for 4 people? Clear violation of voucher book rules. Even if the boss believes that the voucher book cheated him, that is still no reason to break the rules, especially if the customers are the ones who suffer the most. I also read a bit of the reviews from other voucher book users. This is referred to as “obligation to eat”, which is monitored by camera. There is also talk of written contracts. It's strictly forbidden to take leftovers home, etc... It makes you wonder what the owner's mental health is like. I can't judge how much a restaurant benefits from the coupon book, but I know that Big Daddy has done everything it can to lose customers. Luckily, Big Daddy will no longer be there in 2025.

Very tasty food that will satisfy even a hungry man. The service is incredibly warm and you feel very comfortable as a guest. We'll be back ☺️

We were there for the first time last week and were very positively surprised - I think the covered terrace is very nice, the seats are pleasantly far apart, so that you don't get the impression that you're almost sitting on the plate of the person next to you ;) The gentleman The person who greeted us and then served us was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered XXL wraps twice and a burger with fries once - the food was very fresh, pleasantly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Five stars from me and a clear recommendation.

Food mediocre and the service (the boss was) totally unfriendly just because we had the voucher book with us and immediately put it on the table when ordering but didn't mention it because it was obviously visible. The voucher was not accepted when paying.

Went to Big Daddy's for the first time today with the gourmet block. This worked smoothly and the owner was very polite and pointed out any incomprehensibility, etc. Great service and delicious food, we would love to visit again!!🤗

Unfortunately, we didn't even get to order because we weren't welcome with the voucher book (where he would have to register himself). We sat down and carefully separated out our vouchers, which apparently was a huge mistake! He then treated us very unkindly. The only thing he did was show us some terms and conditions on his private smartphone. When we asked whether we could now use the vouchers, we only received a short “gritty” NO! We then packed our things and left. We didn't have to admit that. We found a very nice tasty alternative.

The food was good but way too expensive for me and rather small portions! BUT: very unfriendly boss! We were there with the Schlemmerblock and he simply didn't accept it and called us a fraud in front of everyone and we're only here because of the second free meal! We've never experienced anything like this before and we won't be entering the restaurant again. It was exactly the same at the table next to us!!

We were traveling in the area from Florida and were craving some home cooking. We enjoyed the hospitality and delicious diner food - especially the chicken burger with bacon. We will come again when in the area - best wishes for the owners' continued success!

Price performance absolutely not appropriate! Ambiance is great! The food tastes good too but the burger simply costs around €18, a wrap costs from €14 without fries without a drink, unfortunately too overpriced for me! I definitely won't go there a second time. Due to a mishap a full drink was spilled - it would have been nice if the boss had brought a new one - given the prices it would have been inside and there were no cans or individual glass bottles so it was filled from large 1.5l bottles. Conclusion: it was a very expensive lunch where we have had better and paid less elsewhere!

Unfortunately 1/5 stars because the hotel doesn't know the word goodwill. I accidentally booked for November 23rd and not October as intended. After what felt like a second I noticed the error and sent a cancellation request. This was rejected. I could cancel for the full price... That would definitely be the last time I book there.

After our shopping trip, we took the opportunity to treat ourselves to something at Big Daddy's. The atmosphere inside looked really great, typically American. You could spice it up a bit outside on the terrace. The food was definitely excellent. The portions were really generous, the meat was very tender and crispy. That's why the slightly higher price (compared to other burger restaurants) is absolutely justified. The owner is very warm, friendly and accommodating. All in all, the visit was more than worth it, it was fun! Keep it up ;-)

Yesterday the four of us were eating burgers. Have been there 3 times and unfortunately I have to say yesterday was the last time!! Everyone was very disappointed, the burgers used to taste very good and were nice and juicy, just like you would imagine a burger to be. Yesterday we ordered birger and chicken and were very disappointed. The burger was very dry and the taste was not worth the money. Its Hungarian decoration doesn't fit the American dinner design at all. The toilet could also be cleaned properly again! Oh yes, and he would like to throw out people with voucher books.

Thanks to his advice, we didn't take the big and really expensive dishes, but instead "just" a burger and a small portion of fries. We were very surprised at the portion. We really couldn't have eaten more and then it would have been a shame for the good food. Of course it's not very cheap, but the quality is good. We would love to come back, it was super delicious. visit in june I tried to go a little earlier, but I came late because it overlapped with my vacation period. It was the most delicious boneless chicken I had in Passau!!! The chicken was moist and plentiful, and the French fries were really delicious... the best. The owner is also kind 👍 I will definitely visit again when I return to Passau. Unfortunately, we didn't have such a great experience with the owner either. At first he was very nice and had already ordered our drinks and fries. When we later ordered the burger, we showed the voucher book straight away. Then he suddenly became rude: For the second burger we should order a smaller and cheaper one and everything has to be eaten, there is video surveillance here, he doesn't pack anything, that's a rule in the voucher book, and besides, the second burger is anyway too big for a woman, after all there should be some left for other guests tomorrow (!) and he has already taken legal action about this. Of course we insisted on the burgers we had chosen. CONCLUSION: What the owner allows himself is a bottomless impudence. In addition, the waiting time for the burgers is far too long. Price-performance is not right, far too expensive. The fries were really good. The burgers went like this. There are better addresses in Passau, such as Neustift train station. The staff there is also pleasant and friendly.

If you want to enjoy good, freshly prepared specialties, this is the right place for you. The boss personally advises very courteously, full of knowledge, experience and authentically, as he is not only a boss but also a cook. He fulfilled everything he promised. Among other things, we decided on a goulash with sauerkraut - well prepared, fresh and incredibly tasty, that's how it works. Someone here knows his craft. The burger was also great - very seasoned and the bread was crispy on both sides. Here, too, there is NO fast food copy that is available everywhere. Whether burgers, fries or real goulash variants, you get quality for your money here. Our thanks and full appreciation from the bottom of our hearts! Keep it up! We'll be back!!!

The ambience is quite authentic. We found the service (obviously the owner) to be very pleasant. We were quickly seated and were able to enjoy our first drinks without delay. We ate 2 burgers, each with coleslaw and mozzarella sticks. The burgers were very good, which is to be expected for the price. We were a little disappointed with the supplements, which can once again be ordered sponsored. A burger with a side dish can quickly cost over 20 EUR. We ordered fries for the children, which were average at best. The coleslaw was served as a rather small portion in a bowl that neither fits in with the ambience of the shop nor with the other dishes. The sticks were also rather average and not appropriate for the price. Conclusion: Very good burgers! There's absolutely nothing to complain about. When it comes to side dishes, the quality still needs to be improved or the price needs to come down. I ate here with our family and was shocked. The burgers were undercooked and prices are very expensive and not justified for food quality compared to other burger restaurants in Passau. The owner is very nice and makes an effort to talk with guests which is appreciated but the prices are to expensive for the quality offered. You offer bottled water for 3,50 EUR and these are bought outside of Germany in bulk, sorry but you need to be realistic Otherwise is ok

Basically the food tasted very good. But there are deductions because of the high price; a burger without a side dish for 17 euros is too expensive in my opinion + the cost of an extra portion of ketchup is 1 € (I know this is the case for many people now, but in my opinion it's included for free in order to get bonus points to collect). And since we had the gourmet block, we were initially rudely told that we had to eat everything, otherwise we would have to pay for both dishes. (Which wasn't difficult anyway, but still, if there's no interest in taking part in the gourmet block, then I'm just not allowed to take part!)

Insanely delicious food and super nice service. You should bring some time with you (Saturday lunchtime), but you should be able to manage it with freshly prepared food. Coleslaw, Mexican wrap, bacon barbecue burger, fries, sour cream and barbecue sauce: all a taste explosion. If you love burgers, this is the place for you. We'll be back.

Once we finally recognized it and found the entrance, it was very good. The service was extremely friendly and provided great advice. There were also Hungarian specialties. Everything was very tasty, plentiful and fairly priced. The cabbage wraps were very tasty and tender. The chicken bites are huge, crispy, juicy and with a subtle herbal note.

Unfortunately, we didn't have such a great experience with the boss. At first he was very nice and had already ordered our drinks and food UNTIL we mentioned the gourmet block immediately afterwards. Then he suddenly became very snotty. We should order smaller and "cheaper" things and everything MUST be eaten. He doesn't pack anything, it's a regulation of the gourmet block and we have to sign a contract that we eat everything. We have never experienced anything like this before and we are restaurant testers across Germany. In addition, the actually sparkling drinks were non-carbonated and were filled from simple PET bottles. The mayo that was served with the fries was a salad mayonnaise from a bucket, which could hardly be caught on the fries. The food was still good, although the portions were small for the price, but ok. I don't recommend eating there with Schlemmerblock

An absolute must if you like burgers or American dining. A bit noisy since it's right next to the main train station. But it's normal in a city. Price absolutely reasonable for the quality and portions you get. Generous selection of food and drinks. The boss serves here himself and is absolutely friendly and accommodating. Clearly recommended. Weekend reservations must be made to get a spot. Be sure to visit!

I was there today with two of my friends and it was really great. The owner is very friendly, the food tastes absolutely fantastic (I've never had such juicy chicken, it's amazing!), the portions are really big and the prices are fair. The decoration is also great. If you've always wanted to experience that American diner flair, then you've come to the right place. Maybe the waiting times are a bit long, but you get the best quality.

Honestly? I am completely convinced and fed up! "Big Daddy" is a really fine host. He does his best to accommodate additional requests. The portion sizes give you a real US feeling and it tastes simply delicious. I ordered lemonade with a delicate acidity, mac and cheese with bacon (nice and smoky) and homemade coleslaw. Despite my huge appetite, I reached my limits and felt well looked after. The prices are absolutely fair for what is offered and I can't understand what other users have to say about them. It's NOT YOUR ORDINARY FAST FOOD. The music is pleasantly subtle, which is a real plus for me, and chosen to match the setting of American cuisine. I can highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for hearty American fare.

Hoping to get fries for the tot, we chose Big Daddy's Diner and weren't disappointed :) We were immediately offered a high chair, which we politely declined. When the little one got restless after ordering, they brought us fries to save our mood (with success!). We ordered 2x fries, coleslaw, a classic chicken wrap and the western onion burger. All the food and value for money were really great! When I was walking around with a small child, the owner even asked me if he should keep my wrap warm in the meantime. I have never experienced such a child-friendly restaurant ♡ If we lived in Passau, we would definitely come more often. Clear recommendation!

A friend and I recently went there together for the first time. I ordered the chicken burger with mozzarella and she ordered the cheeseburger. We shared a portion of sweet potato fries and a drink each. The owner who served us was very friendly, open and welcoming, explained to us about the food, what the quality of it was and where the meat came from, which left a very positive impression on us. The food was very, very tasty and the burger was so big that we could have actually saved ourselves the portion of fries. We haven't eaten out so well in a long time. We spent around 20 euros each with a drink and it was definitely worth it.

Had dinner there today on my short trip to Passau. The selection of dishes is great and not exaggerated. I thought I'd have mac & cheese with BBQ sauce and bacon topping with my burger. Unfortunately, since I still had a coleslaw, I overestimated myself. But the food was really tasty and fresh. A huge amount of bacon on the mac & cheese. The burger fresh and really big. The paddy had good roasted flavors and the bun was brioche. The coleslaw was also to die for. The homemade lemonade, I had lemon, was delicious and refreshing and not extremely sweet and not filled with ice cubes. I would have liked to have another milkshake but my stomach was full. If I'm in Passau again, I'll be happy to come back. The owner is also super nice and happy to have a chat.

We had three burgers with fries and three drinks. The burgers were delicious but for over 16€ + 5€ for fries that weren't made from raw potatoes but were frozen goods from the metro, I think it's too expensive. We paid €85 for the meal. It's not that good for that. Of course you can't compare it with fast food chains. But that's too much of a price since it's just burgers.

The food is simply great (American and Hungarian), the pancakes are a delight. Burger delicious. Unfortunately we were only able to book twice during our short vacation. Have rarely experienced such a nice host. Recommended for every Passau holidaymaker or local.
