Biergarten Landgasthof Bremerhof in Kaiserslautern

A review is actually unnecessary, as the Bremerhof is a Lauter institution. The location, the most beautiful beer garden, the renovated dining rooms—all of this can only be found here. Add to that the homely cooking, generous portions, and good beer (the wines on offer are also not to be sniffed at)—what more could you want (at least you'd prefer Bavarian beer prices). The icing on the cake: the truly super-friendly service staff, who always make guests feel like they're the king here.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Excellent, varied, creative, and high-quality cuisine. I highly recommend it. ❤️Friendly and attentive staff.

A very nice beer garden, located on the outskirts of town, in the middle of the forest at the foot of the Humberg Tower. The food and drinks are typical, and the service is attentive and prompt. Free Wi-Fi access is available for the electronic menu, a very good feature given the network availability of some providers. Prices are within the expected range, although they have increased noticeably recently. It's a shame that service is stopped after 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. On mild summer days, it would be great to sit there until the early evening, as on other days. Highly recommended.

Absolutely awesome find! This beautiful Bavarian-esque Biergarten is definitely off the beaten path and surrounded by green pasture land. The outside seating is quite extensive and can seat an impressive amount of people. The service was outstanding. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The half chicken and potato salad was fantastic, crispy and well seasoned. Also, highly recommend trying the apple chili liqueur for dessert. Delicious!

I highly recommend a visit. The food is delicious and the menu is extensive. The service is quick and friendly, and the food doesn't take long to arrive. You can also sit outside in a lovely natural setting; the beer garden is bordered by a pasture with cows and a children's playground. While the prices aren't as cheap as they might be elsewhere, they're not overly expensive either.

A very special place for me. It was my first lunch in Kaiserslautern 10 years ago. It's a place of great peace and joy. I love it!

Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre. The beer garden itself is great, though.

Beautifully situated in/near the forest. When the wind blows, it's refreshing in the heat. Plenty of tables and seating. The food is delicious. Good value for money. The drinks could have been a bit cooler in this heat. However, we arrived about 20 minutes before opening.

In my opinion, this is the only beer garden Kaiserslautern has. Beautifully located! The food is okay, but sometimes it takes a long time to be served.

Simply awful! The schnitzel was inedible, a convenience product, and obviously reheated more than once. All you could taste was fat and instant sauce. We'll never be back.

Nice place for family gatherings

Very nicely located and a good starting and ending point for hikes through the surrounding forests. Good selection of food and drinks, both for an afternoon snack, hiking refreshment, and even a final meal...

The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice. I had a "Waidmanns-style" chicken schnitzel, which was a bitter disappointment. The schnitzel cost around €20, and they served a dry, salty convenience food. The sauce tasted awful and also came from a packet, containing soft canned mushrooms. The side salad was charged extra and also cost about €5. In short, the value is abysmal. I won't eat there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We dined in the beer garden. It's beautifully situated on the edge of town, near the forest. Truly idyllic. The service was fast, friendly, and very helpful. We had schnitzel, which was okay, but the sauce was unfortunately a convenience store item, mushy, and flavorless. After complaining, we were at least given an espresso.

It's still very nice there, but these days, it's very, very expensive. The food is average, tastes okay, but it's instant sauce. You have to order a side salad separately for about €5. A bottle of pure water costs €6.50. I won't be needing that again anytime soon.

Were visiting Kaiserslautern and stopped here for dinner. The service was very quick...we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or our food. It also tasted very good. The Beirgarten is very cozy in an adjacent forest. All in all we really liked it... Can only be recommended!!!

Great, I don't know anything about Kaiserslautern and I didn't expect much from the city, but the country inn is really nice. Idyllically located, super nice staff, clean toilets, children's playground... Everything was really great, I can recommend it without a guilty conscience!

Here you can sit outside and eat comfortably. It's great for children that there is a playground. The service is very friendly and everything is top notch!

Since the new generation took over, the service has improved dramatically. The new, seasonal menu is also well-executed. The junior manager is very present, always friendly, and service-oriented. Until a few years ago, it felt like they were resting on their laurels; people still came anyway. Innovations? None. So, hats off to them, and keep it up!

Nachdem wir den sommerlichen Biergarten kennen, haben wir dieses Mal übernachtet. Die Zimmer sind praktisch und recht modern, allerdings nicht barrierefrei. Das sollte man wissen, falls es wichtig sei. Der Gastraum innen, den wir nicht kannten, ist sehr schön; er war wirklich herrlich atmosphärisch und gemütlich weihnachtlich geschmückt. Das Frühstück ist klein, bietet aber dass was man braucht. Besonders haben uns die kleinen Croissants geschmeckt. Marmelade ist 08-15, leider. Ausserdem waren wir nicht angetan von ungekühlten Butterstückchen und kleinen Gläschen mit, vermutlich Joghurt/Quark mit frischen Dekofrüchten die auch ungekühlt waren- beides war auch nicht unter einer Art Haube o. Spritzschutz gelagert.

Don't eat the schnitzel. The schnitzel tasted very strange and dripped with grease. Unfortunately, it wasn't really that tasty.

After a hike, the Bremerhof is simply inviting. As always, we enjoyed a delicious meal sitting in the lovely outdoor area. The food always arrives quickly, and in my opinion, the value for money is completely reasonable. The beer garden is beautifully landscaped amidst woods and meadows, with a playground for children. There are also horses and cows to see :)

It's a place to relax, have fun, eat and just enjoy everything around it. The service is always to our complete satisfaction. In winter we really enjoy taking part in the hut evenings. To put it this way, we always enjoy staying there. 🤗

Nice place with a beer garden. Stopped in after the hike for a “cup” of coffee and a piece of cake. Service was friendly, coffee was good, cake was also good, it could be a little bigger. Will come for dinner next time.

Four of us went to this place for an outdoorsy vibe. We found many families sitting outside under big umbrellas, many with their dogs (said dogs all sitting on their blankets). We had two types of schnitzel, beef ragout, and pork loin. The schnitzel were the most fun, but the beef was also good. We washed everything down with half liters of bitburger and hefeweisse. A sudden squall didn't ruin our afternoon, since we were under a huge umbrella. Indoor dining hall is also neat and charming. From here, many people set off hiking. (We went to another location and hiked, north of K Lauren. This was all good and we said hello to several other dog owners. Recommendable. Bon appetit!

Wir gehen schon seit sehr vielen Jahren zum Bremerhof und bringen fast immer amerikanische Freunde mit, die meisten wurden Stammkunden, bis jetzt. Ich kann das Essen nicht mehr, guten Gewissens empfehlen. Die Qualität hat sehr nach gelassen und die Portionen haben sich halbiert und die Preise verdoppelt. Schade für den Bremerhof.

I have been a couple of times in this restaurant. Unfortunately the quality and taste of food is not good at all! Only the Flammkuchen was delicious but the Schnitzel was just not good at all! If you're visiting there to have drinks, it's a nice atmosphere and surrounding and you should definitely do so otherwise I don't recommend it for dinning. I hope they improve their quality because it's such a nice place to go.

Nice, quiet beer garden with good food

A typical German restaurant, with its typical food of sausage, liver meatball, pork stomach fillet, sauerkraut with a strong sour flavor, it has a fairly strong flavor and the typical German bread, the atmosphere and very nice place, waiter service perfect. The location is unique, we like to be there regularly. There is room for improvement when it comes to eating, salad dressing is quite boring, for example, and sausage salad only consists of a few ingredients (no herbs, salty). Maybe you should think about it and improve it a little. With the price increases you can garnish with a little more love. 🧡

A good reputation isn't everything; it's recommended as a beer garden without high demands on the food. We had a side salad that was carelessly prepared, and part of the Lollo Rosso was also very "drinky". The main course, Schnitzel Waidmann's style with French fries, unfortunately did not consist of freshly prepared schnitzel meat but of somewhat dry, probably pre-baked convenience goods. What a shame! The Kaiserschmarrn as dessert was OK. Drink orders were always carried out promptly. Good! The wait for food was just bearable. CONCLUSION:The best beer garden in West Palatinate should have higher standards for itself.

Unfortunately the food wasn't to our liking. The soup a bit salty. Schnitzel hmmm, my own are better and the crusty roast wasn't great either. Maybe as Bavarians and Tyroleans we should have tried Palatinate food.

Great beer garden with delicious food and drinks

The beer garden offers a beautiful ambience in the middle of forest, meadows and animals, absolutely great! The service is also friendly and accommodating. What I didn't like was the food and the prices. In my opinion, charging just under €18 for two small ready-made wedges, a bland cream sauce and a few overcooked “noodles”, all carelessly slapped onto a plate, is simply too expensive and doesn’t do justice to the rest of the beer garden. A pity.

I can't provide any information about the rooms. The beer garden is just great. It offers guests plenty of space. No matter when you come, you always get a table. It is a playground and space for children to play. Both are located in such a way that there is no access from the street. Staff is friendly. On all visits, the food was always good, tasty and appetizingly prepared. I can only recommend the location.

Ready-made schnitzel, for 15.50 for a Viennese style schnitzel with fries without salad, well!! A fresh one is also worth 20 euros to me, but also 4.90 for a side salad, unfortunately not that great

The food is ok. But it is a great place to take the entire family regardless of age. In good weather your kids can enjoy the playground while you wait for the food. After eating, walk it off at the adjacent forest. I love going there even if the food is not mind-blowing, it is still good for the price and the atmosphere. One thing I really liked was the pork knuckle and the flambkuchen. The duck is also good. Service is ok too

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great on the last visit, the impression was that the C&C went straight into the deep fryer and then onto the plate. But service and ambience were very good.

Quasi mitten im Pfälzer Wald liegt der Bremerhof, von Kaiserslautern aus fährt man eine kurze Strecke durch den Wald und ist schon da. Es gibt viele Parkplätze, von hier aus kann man auch wandern, oder sich gleich im Biergarten niederlassen. Hier ist alles sehr schön gestaltet, es gibt einen Kinderspielplatz, der Hingucker sind definitiv die wunderschönen Bäume unter denen man sitzt. Die Karte bietet eine gute Auswahl und wenn man kein Meckerer ist, dann fehlt es hier an nichts. Das Essen ist eine sehr gute echte Pfälzer Küche. Es hat gut geschmeckt und hier kann man eine kleine Auszeit genießen- wenn man zur richtigen Zeit da ist🤗

Fabulous beer garden! Bremerhof has a huge beer garden with a lot of seating! You really feel like you’re in a Bavarian beer garden. They have a great menu with a lot of options, the spatzle, frikadelle and steak were all delicious. They have an enclosed hutte now if there weather isn’t great. Also, large parking lot.

The Bremerhof is an institution - in my memory for more than 50 years. The staff (as of May 2024) is available in sufficient numbers - despite the number of guests, the waiting times were only short, even for repeat orders, and the orders came promptly. That's where the problem lies: speed can probably only be achieved through a high degree of prefabrication, which unfortunately comes at the expense of taste. You should only expect average and you will go home extremely satisfied. The staff pulls the whole thing out of mediocrity with their friendliness and an overall nice visit. In short, everything is right for the demands you place on a “beer garden” - including the price.

We were looking forward to pork knuckle that was offered on the internet but unfortunately none were made. We had to wait 21/2 hours for our food and my husband's schnitzel was very dry. We were very disappointed

The menu isn't particularly elaborate, but there's something for everyone, it tastes good and the prices are fair. The beer garden has many tables but they are very well looked after by great service. The ambience is nice and you have a nice view. We were lucky enough to experience live brass music.

Very well attended country inn. Our food was good, even if I think tarte flambée with salmon was too expensive at just under €14. Even 0.5 liter non-alcoholic beer for over €5 leaves a bad aftertaste.

Gutbürgerliches Essen, wer früh kommt genießt schnelle meist freundliche Bedienung und das idyllische Ambiente. Wird gegen Mittag/Nachmittag recht voll. Wer das Bad in der Menge mag findet dann sein kleines Paradies ;)

Im Prinzip ne tolle Lokalität. Der Service ist manchmal etwas Schlafmützig aber im Großen und Ganzen okay. Im Außenbereich des wunderschönen Biergartens ist Selbstbedienung was aber der Sache an sich keinen Abbruch tut. Über was man reden muss und sollte ist die Preisgestaltung. Getränke total überteuert.

Wunderschöner Biergarten in traumhafter Lage. Mitten im Grünen 10 min vom Stadtzentrum Kaiserslautern entfernt. Leckeres Essen! Super schneller und besonders freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Neue Sitzplätze für die kühlere Jahreszeit (2.Foto ) Wunderbar !!!
