The Kugleralm is one of the most beautiful beer gardens we know! Huge chestnut trees provide shade and glow a vibrant green! Absolutely gorgeous! The staff, whether at the bar, the food counter, the fried dough station, the cash register, or the gentlemen collecting the used dishes and glasses, are all exceptionally friendly and polite, always with a smile for the guests! You can tell everyone is doing this with so much heart and joy! Thank you all, we had a wonderful birthday celebration at the Kugleralm today!!

We're absolutely thrilled. We're here for lunch with four small children. The playground is lovely; we were allowed to sit outside even though the beer garden was actually closed so we could see the children at the playground. 😍 We received super friendly and warm service!!! The children were immediately given a large bucket to collect chestnuts... Amazing, huge praise and a huge thank you.

Unfortunately, the playground has become quite run down. Old sand with leaves, many of the play equipment is broken, and there's not even a swing anymore. Sad for such a beautiful location. Everything else was great.

What a disgrace to charge €23 for two half-pints of beer and two Schmalznudeln! That's truly outrageous. We also drank our wheat beer from the bottle, as ALL the glasses were dirty, some of them still had food sticking to them. Disgusting. Positive: The man behind the Schmalznudeln stand was very friendly and accommodating. The other staff were simply condescending. It's a real shame, my grandparents used to eat here, and they'd think I was crazy if I told them about these prices. In comparison: at the Alter Wirt in Ramersdorf, a half-pint costs €3.80. At the Kugler Alm, it's almost €2 more.

It's packed – even in good to very good weather. But we always enjoy coming back. The corner with the individual tables is particularly nice – it gets louder and busier towards the back.

We always enjoy going to the Kugler Alm. Unfortunately, today wasn't a good day for the staff. They were grumpy and unfriendly at the food counter when I asked for a side of sauce for my bratwurst and potato salad. The checkout was quick. Unfortunately, we then discovered that the sausage was cold. The soda tasted bland and stale. Too bad. We were used to something different.

A lovely beer garden that's also easily accessible by bike. You can sit comfortably under the trees and find plenty of shade even when the sun is shining. There's a playground for children. They also serve a typical selection of Bavarian dishes. Highly recommended for a day trip.

As Oberhaching residents, we often go to the beer garden, but unfortunately, its "old glory" has somehow faded. Okay, the beer was really well tapped, the glass was well poured, the staff was uncaring, the ribs, which used to be truly iconic, were oily, lukewarm, completely overcooked, no pretzels, and the Schmalznudeln fryer was soggy. This has little to do with Upper Bavarian gastronomy. Satire: Parking is available, but the cyclists are a plague, racing like crazy across the forecourt in Tour de France style, wearing ridiculous outfits, with no regard for the elderly and children. Cars are only allowed to go 10 km/h... Given their driving style, the hope that they'll "take care of themselves" will probably soon be fulfilled.

It's actually one of my favorite beer gardens. But warm beer is a no-go, and my complaint was dismissed rudely.

Fantastic (so why no 5 stars?!) Brilliant Bavarian dining, clearly a favourite with locals. Good was good, location smashing. Staff (serving food/drinks not paying) were so rude, massive shame. Asked a few questions in my pigeon German, not interested in cooperating. Thankfully the locals around me apologised and were super helpful.

We've been cycling to the Kugler Alm for years and can confirm that the food and service are very good. However, I think that such a large beer garden should offer highchairs, and I hereby appeal to the owners to re-instate them. We were kindly informed that they did have some at the time, but that they were discontinued due to the poor behavior of some parents. Given the prices, a few highchairs, such as those from Ikea, should be included for €15 each. It would also be nice if swings were installed again.

Beautifully situated beer garden. Very cozy. Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly. We were there on a Sunday. According to the website, opening hours start at 11 a.m. He repeatedly told us it was 12 p.m. until the friendly lady at the cash register pointed him to the correct time. The unfriendliness was already noticeable on our last visit. It's a shame, really. The restrooms also leave a lot to be desired. We'll be back anyway.

A classic, beautiful, self-service beer garden under the trees, somewhat secluded. Food can be brought in, but drinks must be purchased on site. The pretzels and "Ausgezogen" (traditional German sausages) were amazing and addictive. Restrooms are clean and tidy. Free parking is available in front. Be careful when crossing the street to the beer garden; some passing cyclists are inconsiderate and disregard pedestrians.

It's a lovely place to sit. The Dinzler cappuccino is also okay, though it's a bit inconsistent depending on who's at the portafilter machine. Unfortunately, there were no pretzels or croissants for breakfast. At least pretzels would be appropriate in a Bavarian café, so maybe something can be done about that!

It used to be much better. Expensive, and the food wasn't particularly good, especially the expensive spare ribs. Once legendary for its sauce, now it's mediocre at best.

The price/performance ratio has deteriorated; we only got one dumpling with a little sauce. Unfortunately, the three of us weren't full, but the price was high. The surroundings are simply beautiful, with plenty of children's entertainment.

The two of us were in the beer garden during the week in sunny weather. This beer garden has a very special atmosphere. The chairs have backrests, which I particularly like and think is fantastic. We didn't eat anything, but we did have drinks. The entire alpine pasture is beautiful and invites you to linger, and the beer garden's offerings are excellent. We'll definitely be back!

The playground for the kids is great. The tables aren't too close together, so you can easily get through them. We'd love to come back!

Our evening at the Biergarten started pleasantly, although I must say that the price for a beer is higher than in the city of Munich – they charge €10.50 per liter, whereas in the city, at the Hirschgarten, it’s no more than €8.50. Then these people didn’t bother to announce that they were closing drink sales – they simply stopped and went off to the restaurant. The restaurant staff were friendly at first, but around 10:30 p.m., when only two tables remained, they decided to turn off the lights without warning, leaving us completely in the dark and closing the bathrooms. I don’t think this behavior is typical for a Bavarian Biergarten. In fact, it left much to be desired compared to what we usually consider Bavarian friendliness. This is not our first time, but I believe it will be our last.

A beautiful beer garden with, unfortunately, terrible food and unmotivated kitchen staff. There were no pretzels, the sausage salad tasted of nothing, the bratwurst was dried out, and the Obazda (traditional German sausage) tasted of nothing except garlic and caraway. It's a shame; things used to be different here.

We celebrated our wedding here in July, and everything was absolutely perfect. The team at the Kugler Alm fulfilled all our wishes. A special thank you to the excellent service and the kitchen. We'd love to celebrate with you again at our next celebration.

The staff is quite unfriendly, as is the case almost everywhere in and around Munich. The beer garden is very nice overall, and the location is simply fantastic, especially for cyclists. The food and drinks are quite expensive, but they're tasty.

The Kugler Alm is beautifully situated beneath old deciduous trees. The service is competent and always friendly. The Spaten beer is tasty, and the meals and fresh pretzels are delicious. Just be careful of the high-speed cyclists at the entrance. Avoiding them or braking in time is sometimes almost impossible, so be sure to hold children by the hand. All in all, a definite recommendation!

After 20 years, I wanted to visit my favorite beer garden again. What can I say? I'll keep it short: unfortunately, it's no longer worth a star. A minimum rating of one star is still too high here. Sunday lunchtime, the beer garden was sparsely attended due to the changeable weather. We politely asked if they could open one of the large umbrellas to protect us from the rain. The rude response: "...ask the colleagues back there..." The "colleagues back there" in red T-shirts, however, had little desire to communicate and retreated to the end of the beer garden for a meeting. The rude response: The specific umbrella at our seat is only meant for sun. All other umbrellas are supposedly for rain!?!? Sorry, but we've never been treated so rudely. As we left, the employees just laughed after us. We still survived the small showers thanks to the rain jackets we had brought with us. I then decided on currywurst. There were no other customers at the counter, and it took three people to finally hand out cold fries with a fried sausage and a fancy sauce. Chaos at the food counter. And the whole thing has nothing to do with currywurst. But at least I suspect a creative, imaginative recipe with cold fries. At the cash register, a pork knuckle was immediately added to the bill. After complaining about the total price, all I got was a rude "...do you want a receipt...?" No apology or admission of the mistake. So be careful: Be careful at the cash register. We then left the beer garden, annoyed by the staff, and went to our friendly neighbor. Kugler Alm? Never again!

The Kugleram was our destination today for a team bike ride along the Isar River through Munich. Everything was perfect here, and luckily we found room for 11 people. The food selection is extensive, so there's something for everyone.

Everything was excellent, a very nice beer garden, highly recommended. There are improvements to be made in the area of ​​communication, for example, a notice saying that you don't have to queue at the bar to buy a non-alcoholic beer or a shandy; these are self-service items from the drinks fridges. A sign advertising the delicious Schmalznudeln (dairy dumplings) would also be very helpful; the separate serving point isn't very noticeable.

We visited the Kugler Alm beer garden on a day trip. It's traditional, spacious, has plenty of tables, a self-service area, and is bustling – just as you'd expect from a typical tourist destination. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. The Obatzte was particularly disappointing, lacking in flavor and a rather unappealing consistency. It's a shame, because Bavarian classics should be prepared with a little more care, even when the crowds are high.

The Kugleralm is a truly romantic beer garden with a variety of seating options. Chairs and tables on the grass, wooden benches on the gravel. The whole area is beautifully landscaped. The two of us went there yesterday for self-service. First, a Schnittmass beer, a light wheat beer, and a large pretzel, €19! Then a very small Swiss sausage salad, an Obatzda (traditional Swiss sausage), and a bowl with cheese, ham, and salad with a small pretzel, €31, and that was self-service! The Obatzda was incredibly spicy and, in my opinion, not homemade but some kind of cheese concoction. The sausage salad was tarnished and didn't look particularly inviting. The cheese bowl was tasteless, and even the dressing didn't help; you had to make your own dressing from plastic bottles that were stuck everywhere. All in all, about €50. If I add about €30, I'd be better off at a good Italian restaurant with pizza or pasta and wine. I won't be back anytime soon!

The mustard and the fries sauce were a bit bland for me, but otherwise, nothing to complain about. Very large and very nice beer garden with large trees and plenty of shade. I loved my outing to the Biergarten. Had Currywurst for the first time and LOVED IT. that coupled with a helles beer was amazing. The Garden has loads of seating, some under cover of the tall trees and some directly in the sun (where we sat). Was a great experience. There was hardly any wait time, the staff were super friendly and the pricing fair. Would highly recommend.

Since the renovation, it's been a very pleasant beer garden for all types of visitors. We enjoy going there with family or friends. Very friendly staff clears the tables. We recommend a reasonable tip.
