Great place for family outing. Typical beer garden with good food options and big play ground for kids

Food is good but overpriced - unfortunately - I've been coming here for 60 years and I'm very disappointed - the ones that moved out were bigger and cheaper and now they're smaller and more expensive. Guys, it's yeast dough with cinnamon and sugar, only bake 150g of dough in fat - you can eat it yourself for 10 minutes for €5.80 - €3 is appropriate for the little thing - on the Dult only for €4 - better

The ambience is rather nice because there are lots of trees etc. The railway line is a bit annoying, but it's okay. Unfortunately it was relatively dirty and there was a lot of rubbish on the floor. The food was okay. The vegetarian one is actually quite good. All in all, the price/performance ratio is very different. Cheese spaetzle and currywurst are rather expensive, fries are okay, Schupfnudel pan with vegetables is pretty cheap.

We were there on May 1st and it wasn't the first time that the staff was completely overwhelmed by the crowds. We waited in line for 40 minutes for food and then the food wasn't even good. For us it was the last time. There are dozens of beer gardens in Munich that are better.

Nice beer garden. Particularly popular with cyclists. But on nice weekend days it can get very crowded!

Beautiful beer garden and ideal destination for bike tours through the Perlacher Forest. Very large playground which is located directly in the beer garden. This means parents can always keep an eye on their kids.

Very cozy to stop off and have a drink after a bike ride. The only drawback: at €5.60/beer it's not exactly cheap.

Very idyllic, large beer garden with plenty of space to sit. Anyone who likes it shady or sunny will find everything here. Children have many opportunities to play and parents can still keep an eye on them. The lard noodles (Auszogne) are a specialty. The only drawback for my taste is the beer. Unfortunately, only spades are served.

1 measure was over 10 euros per meter of beer garden. Eating at the self-service counter is more like a commercial kitchen. Directly on a well-used cycle path.

Taking a break here during a bike tour is really fun. Large beer garden with many seats. You are allowed to bring food with you. Unfortunately, when the weather is nice, the queues for drinks/food/undressed are a little longer.

Always happy, the charm and charisma of the beer garden is something. We were there with a bus and 56 participants on Saturday April 5th, the beer garden was very well attended. We had made a reservation and everything went well with the serving and the food, although some things were no longer available after 4:45 p.m. is normal at the beginning of the beer garden season. Thanks also for the wristbands to pay some of the total bill. The decorated beer garden with service is also very nice. Many of us will come by again

The food is very tasty but you have to wait quite a long time

Since the beer garden has just opened, not all the dishes were available yet. Otherwise it is a fairly spacious beer garden, where the half costs €5.50 and the mass costs €10.30.

Fernab vomStadttrubel und dennoch auch mit Öffies und Fahrrad gut zu erreichen präsentiert sich die Kugler Alm in entspanntem, traditionellen Ambiente. Gemäß Münchener Tradition ist das Mitbringen und der Verzehr von eignen Speisen im SB-Bereich erlaubt, lediglich die Getränke müssen von der Gaststätte erworben werden. Lobend zu erwähnen ist, dass sich der bereits stolze Preis für Bier bzw. Radler von 2023 auf 2024 trotz "MWSt-Normalisierung" nicht weiter erhöht hat.

Overpriced moved outs. I was really looking forward to the beer garden, poor service. Because the season is ending. OK?! Then, to top it off, I had to wait an extremely long time at the checkout until I had drunk my drink. And for what the undressed person threw the plate at me for 6 euros. The best lard noodles ever, fresh with cinnamon and sugar. The beer garden is always nice, whether summer or autumn, we always enjoy going there.

We often go to the beer garden, the chicken is usually good. Today (October 27th) there was no food, just drinks and extracts, which are also very good. Half a light is now 5.40 euros here too! Overall, the price level is more in the city of Munich than in the country. There are some beer gardens in the city that are significantly cheaper.

Service is very intrusive: three friendly waitresses, all three of whom ask every three minutes whether you are satisfied and whether you want anything else. I found this very uncomfortable! Ambiance is great! Unfortunately, the food (onion soup, boiled beef) was far too seasoned for me! A bit disappointing for the price! Greetings from the kitchen (four! slices of bread, butter and ox meat brawn) were totally unnecessary as we had ordered a starter. This wasn't even eaten when the starter arrived almost at the same time. There was actually no room left for the main course!

Also wir gestern den 03.10 um 12:50 in der im Restaurant eintrafen war uns bereits bewusst das wir ohne Reservierung an einem Feiertag wahrscheinlich keinen Platz bekommen, dennoch wollten wir es versuchen. Wir fragten den älteren Kellner ca. 48 Jahre dunkle kurze Haare ca. 1,70 groß. ( Bild Anbei, das ich so von meinem Gerät wieder gelöscht habe)Ob er noch einen Tisch für uns hätte. Sehr hektisch und sichtlich unter Stress meinte er ... " Der hier aber bis 13:30 " was ca. Minuten entspricht. Ich sagte dann nur, naja wenn das die Küche schafft bekommen wir das sicher hin oder ?. Antwort des Kellners: sie wissen das Feiertag ist ist? Und verließ den Raum zur schenke. Ich schaute meine Frau an und wir wussten jetzt nicht wirklich was Phase ist .  Er Kamm dann wild gestikulierend wieder mit deutlich gereizter stimme und meinte nochmal: Das Feiertag ist wissen sie ?  Ich hab jetzt dann 16 neue Gäste... Heute ist Feiertag ... Sowas muss man doch wissen...  Nach diesem wiederholt unfreundlichem anfepflaume sind wir aufgestanden und gegangen. Selten haben wir sowas unfreundliches erlebt. Wenn ein Tisch nur 30 min frei ist sollte man als Bedingung einer doch guten Lokalität Frage ob man was essen oder vielleicht nur Kaffee und Kuchen möchte um dann zu entscheiden passt das mit dem 30min Zeitslot oder nicht. Anstatt einen Tisch anzubieten um dann die Gäste wieder rauszuekeln.    Ich habe größtes Verständnis wenn man in der Gastro im Stress ist. Aber 3x so angemacht zu werden ist unter aller würde.  Wir hatten den Ansatz evtl. Sogar unsere 60pax Firmen Feier in der Alm auszurichten, hiervon müssen wir aber erstmal Abstand nehmen.  Ich hoffe das wir mit dieser Nachricht helfen können den Service deutlich zu verbessern.

And left the room for the tavern. I looked at my wife and we didn't really know what phase was. He then gesticulated wildly again in a clearly irritated voice and said again: Do you know that it's a holiday? I now have 16 new guests... Today is a holiday... You have to know that... After this repeated unfriendly attack, we got up and left. We have rarely experienced something so unfriendly. If a table is only available for 30 minutes, as a condition of a good location you should ask whether you want something to eat or maybe just coffee and cake and then decide whether it fits with the 30 minute time slot or not. Instead of offering a table and then disgusting the guests out again. I have the greatest understanding when you are stressed in the catering industry. But being hit on like that three times is beneath all dignity. We had the idea of ​​possibly even hosting our 60pax company celebration in the Alm, but we have to refrain from doing that for now. I hope that with this message we can help to significantly improve the service. You will never see us or any of our friends again!

For lunch we had cordon blue with fries. The fries were okay. The cordon blue was very thin and small and made from slices placed on top of each other instead of using a schnitzel and filling it as usual. Unfortunately, the breading was also tasteless, slightly burnt and didn't stick to the meat. For a lunch of €16.90 it was a flop. The waiter defended the dish with "it's lunch" and "others ate it too"

I only parked there in the morning, unfortunately the restaurant was still closed. But friends say that it is very nice there and the food is also very good.

Was there today. Classic beer garden atmosphere, there's not much to complain about. Unfortunately, service at the counter was a bit unfriendly when we asked if there was still the Schupfnudeln... so there was a portion of fries as well as meatloaf and potato salad for both of us. Unfortunately, when we got home, we both immediately got rid of what we had eaten in an unpleasant way because we felt sick on the way home.

You can sit nicely in this beer garden. Unfortunately, Obatzter was really unworthy of a Bavarian beer garden. I would even say it's the worst I've ever eaten. And that for just under €10! I was extremely disappointed and even think the one from the supermarket is much better. You should urgently do something here.

Nice garden. Disorganized when paying. We waited 20 minutes for the food to be counted5. Food was then cold. Was there again. Obazta 9.10€. There was no tarte flambée. Coffee or undress queue 15 minutes.

Always great, lots of space, playground, large selection of food, shaded areas, but also sunny ones, beer benches with backrests, clean toilets, insider tip Schmalznudel (Auszogne) and of course enough parking spaces but also easy to reach by bike. Always a top location 😉

Since Steckelfisch has been available here, it has become an option for us again. The last grilled chicken was also very tasty.

Simply a very nice beer garden, with great trees, lots of space, great playground, you can bring your own food and drink, good old beer garden tradition. The food, drinks, coffee and the like are delicious and the prices are normal for “Munich” standards. 😉

It's always worth a visit here. Watch as the pulled-out dishes you ordered are prepared in the deep fryer and then delivered straight to your plate. The beer garden also offers excellent food and there is also space for the children.

Friendly service during the lunch break, the food came quickly and was very good. A visit here is also good for a little something.

The atmosphere of the beer garden is very nice, there is also a small playground. As far as the food was concerned, I was very disappointed, a small bowl of spaetzle with sauce, the sauce was more like water, for 6€ that's quite an announcement. Beer is available from Spaten.

The gardens are beautiful, but the quality of the food has deteriorated enormously and the staff at the food counter are unmotivated and unfriendly. It's a shame, because it can be done better.

Very great economy and easy to reach by car or bike. The price is a bit high for the food and drinks but the quality is good.

Kugler Alm the classic among beer gardens. But the prices for self-collection from the beer garden are simply too high for me.

Unfortunately, the food outside in the beer garden wasn't really very tasty. The pork knuckle tasted like it had been warmed up, the potato salad had a strange texture. The Wiener Schnitzel and the coleslaw were ok.

Rain hike from Mangfallplatz to Kugler Alm. We sat inside in the next room, it was great. We were pleasantly surprised, the plates were warmed up and the food was very good.

Only had fries - but they were great! I can't judge the service because I didn't get the drinks or food and therefore didn't have any contact with it. Ambience is very dignified. Very nicely done.

Very nice, but too expensive beer garden

OK, we were there late in the morning when there was still little activity. We had extracts that were really deliciously fresh and tasty. €5.40 for this is a reasonable price. But the same price for the non-alcoholic beer is very reasonable because I have to pick it up myself and bring the glasses back. I understand this price in the city center but not here in the suburbs. But because I can pay by card, which is unfortunately not possible everywhere, I only deduct one star from the service.

Typical Munich beer garden outside Munich, the food was ok, the beer was well poured. There is a playground with a lot of holes in the fence, the children can then be found in the forest.

Not as nice and good as before... Unfortunately, the staff was pretty annoyed... The prices are pretty exorbitant based on the portions: €22 for a small Swiss sausage salad, a large pretzel and a Ruß'n-Halbe? I think something is wrong... There is a very high chance that Kugler Alm is the best biergarten in Munich. Not only because it's at the end of a large bike road, which makes it great for weary bike riders, but also because it offers food and drinks of high quality at a reasonable price.

It's been a while since I've been to the Kugler Alm again. I wanted to strengthen myself after a bike ride. I would have liked to eat something, but was ignored by the kitchen and left standing there for what felt like 10 minutes. Apparently talking to the second chef and bringing plates to the back was more important. I then drank my Rußenhalbe and drove home (therefore no rating for food and service).

Very nice beer garden. There are some places in the shade. The staff is really friendly. And I personally have to say it's in one of very few beer gardens where the food tastes good. The beer also tastes good and is generously filled. Price/performance are also completely okay. A really great beer garden. I really enjoy going there. Some beer gardens can learn a lesson from this. And by that I mean specifically when it comes to food.

Beautiful beer garden, framed by Alpine buildings. Good size, sunny and shady places, comfortable benches, you don't sit too close to the neighboring table. Prices ok, there are traditional and more modern dishes. Obatzda freshly made, ox roll huge and delicious.
