BICKLES JAMAICAN GRILL & LOUNGE in Kaiserslautern

My organization has used them for over a year now. To cater food for our events.

Went here on a weekday afternoon and they had nothing on the menu expect for the jerk chicken, cabbage and rice and peas. The food was honestly very disgusting. It wasn’t made fresh and I’m pretty sure it was old because he microwaved it and brought it to me in less than 3 minutes. The food was cold, presentation was bad and was tasteless. The cabbage was soggy and nothing had flavor. The guy who served me was not attentive or friendly. He stood outside the whole time I was in there smoking and drinking alcohol. He also kept coughing into his hands and did not wash them once while serving the food. I was so disgusted that I couldn’t eat the food. Total waste of money and not worth it. Go to the other Jamaican place in KTown, definitely so much better.

The jerk chicken was awesome. I like it a little more spicy, but this is Europe and well, we know they gotta keep it down for local pallets. The Jamaican rice was really good too. The festval was tasty as well. Only reason for 4 over a solid five was because it was delivery and the oxtail wasn’t fresh it had cooled down and lost some of that rich oxtail flavor you get with it being fresh. Will def try again though. I’m serious though, that Jamaican chicken was smokey and tasty.

Finally I don't need to go to London anymore for Curry Goat and Rice & Peas <3 Had the Jerk Chicken tho. Was tasty. Rice & Peas was on point. Thank god no BBQ sauce!!! Much love!

The food was not the best I have had in Jamaican cuisine. The rice was very dry, the oxtail meat was not tasty at all and it seemed like it was the cheapest meat from the market. The Curry Goat was not great....I did enjoy the cabbage very well and full of flavor.

Jerk Chicken was simple and authentic, opening hours were a bit confusing and you had to bring some time.
