The staff speak Italian, the lady was very nice and polite. The service was so quick. Food was great but a bit expensive.. location top notch.. you can seat outside or inside. We got a Bible of water for about 8 euros but it taste so good . The location is great for large group of persons and it’s kids friendly.. they have a coner for kids and colorful. The toilet was clean but a bit dark . I will definitely recommend this restaurant They got few options for pasta since it’s an Italian restaurant they should provide more options for pasta since..it’s an Italian restaurants

We discovered this restaurant by chance after a bike ride along the Main and Rhine rivers and stopped in for coffee. The cake and tiramisu were so excellent that we decided to come back for dinner. At my advanced age, I've never eaten such a delicious pizza, and my companions' dishes were also top-notch. If the journey from East Frisia were a little shorter, we wouldn't be long in coming for another visit. If we're ever in Mainz again, we'll definitely return to the restaurant. Mille Grazie!

We celebrated at Beviamo after our civil wedding and were thrilled. The guests at the champagne and spritzer reception gave us nothing but positive feedback. And the food afterwards was top-notch, as was the service. The communication beforehand was uncomplicated and cordial; we couldn't have asked for anything better. A huge thank you to the entire Beviamo team. Thanks also to the young decorator. :) We had a wonderful time with you and are already looking forward to dining with you again soon.

I ordered the Risotto al Fhungi. It tasted very good, and the waitresses were all very friendly. Unfortunately, the portion was very small. It was more like a children's portion or an appetizer. When I asked about it, I was told that it was so small because it was so filling. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any of this, left hungry, and had to order more sushi. It's a shame that my complaint was simply ignored.

Good food with a location right on the Rhine. Unfortunately, only three stars because we had to wait forever for the bill (an hour or more). Meanwhile, the tables next to us waited a very long time for drinks or food, sometimes longer than we did for the bill. Unfortunately, you could also tell that the general mood had dropped significantly. Probably only recommended during off-peak times.

My fellow Americans: there is an underground parking right next to this restaurant, not free, but, at least, I didn't have to drive around looking for it. The service was unusually friendly (if you've been in Germany for a while, you know what I mean). Our waitress spoke English, and the menu was bilingual, which was very convenient. All food was delicious, portions were generous and the leftovers were nicely packed to take home. There is a big outside terrace with a river view. My date was actually Italian by origin, and he praised the place (it was first visit for both of us). Planning on coming back.

The food was amazing!! We sat overlooking the Rhine. Unfortunately, it smelled a bit at times, but that's not their fault :) The service was super nice, attentive, and friendly. The food arrived within 5 minutes, and it was amazing! The lemonade was amazing, too. So, all in all, really great!!

We had dinner with seven people, including two children. The food was freshly prepared and delicious (salads, pasta, and antipasti). The children were given coloring pages and crayons, there was an extensive children's menu, special children's cutlery, and even a lovely play area. The service was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance is very pleasant, with a pleasantly loud background music and a semi-open kitchen with a fantastic pizza oven. We truly felt very comfortable and spent a wonderful evening there with delicious food.

We had dinner at Beviamo. The food was very good. For example, the Caesar salad was very tasty, and the sauce was typical, although you rarely get that typical flavor in restaurants. The service was also very friendly. We would definitely like to come back if we're in Mainz again.

VERY BAD. We were told the food would arrive quickly because we wanted to go to the movies afterward. Forty-five minutes later, the bruschetta arrived, which was soggy and inedible. An hour later, the food arrived: a cold pulled pork burger with a rock-hard bun and stale, dry pasta. That almost ruined our evening until we got a delicious kebab from the Sofra next door.

I was here for lunch today. The waiter was very nice. The pizza was super tasty. I find the rat trap under an outdoor bench difficult. But this is probably due to the fact that the area is open and some people live on the Rhine. I had also seen a rat on the premises from a distance, but it wasn't very appetizing before eating.

Visited as part of a large (16) strong group on a Saturday evening (6pm); it was not that busy at all. You can sit inside or outside (in a covered patio). Venue is large. Parking available in underground secure location directly below restaurant. Food was great - good portion size (but not overwhelming). Service - average. It took a long time from ordering either drinks or food for it to be delivered. Will I go again? Yes.

Were there for the first time and unfortunately also the last time (I'm actually from Bavaria and was visiting a good friend), the order was taken quickly and the friendly staff stood out, unfortunately our order was forgotten just as quickly, our starter was only brought after about 30-40 minutes and then only after a waiter had asked if we had even gotten our starter, we said no and it suddenly only took 2 minutes and brought it to us, for me An indication that this was forgotten, which also underlined the fact that the starter was no longer warm. We waited almost twice as long for our main course, but unfortunately neither of us felt hungry anymore and had to force ourselves to eat. They apologized several times and offered a free coffee, but it was already 10 p.m. and a free coffee wouldn't have changed the impression. The food wasn't particularly great either and we both had stomach aches after our visit. The ambience was really nice, but the prices were comparatively very high, so we were actually expecting a delicious dinner, but we would be very disappointed here. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Our first and definitely last visit to this restaurant. Waited a terribly long time until the food finally arrived COLD and inedible. Unfortunately, after repeated complaints from us, nothing was done. For this reason we decided not to pay anything and leave. I advise anyone who is thinking about eating there not to!

Food comes to the table quickly and well, the ambience is nice, the location is great. However, hospitality and a desire for gastronomy feels different. The average age in service feels like it is 21 years old. It's not their fault, they're in the spirit of the times, those who manage and select staff need to take a look at themselves and rethink their goals.

I used to love eating Alfredo Conpollo, everyone's favorite dish. Now there is a new recipe for it, no more homemade pasta, significantly less sauce, which also tastes really bad. Aldi-level pasta, I can do that at home too. The management has changed a few things in the restaurant because they can't fill their necks with money.

Friendly welcome, nice waiter, but the food really wasn't that good. The store is also so noisy that you can barely hear your neighbors when it's at full capacity. And the toilets smelled unpleasantly of sewage. From a later time onwards, it's no longer just behind the door, but into the store. To eat: I had a burger and fries for just under €19. Proud price. Unfortunately, the burger came to the table already lukewarm, and by the time I started it was almost cold. The taste was good, but I would have gotten it from a burger chain. And the fries weren't completely cooked. The food my companions served was almost always too expensive for the quality that was delivered. We won't be coming back.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Freundlicher Service und gutes Essen. Nudeln waren nicht ganz al dente, aber der Rest war top. Man sollte noch auf folgende Punkte achten: im Winter zieht die Tür zum Außen-/Terrassenbereich; Tür wird gern offen vergessen; die Toiletten könnten angenehmer riechen und öfter gesäubert sein. Anscheinend hat man den Eingangsbereich verändert. Einige Male konnten wir beobachten, dass Gäste am früheren Eingang den Zettel lesen mussten, dass man komplett außen rum gehen muss. Das findet sich vielleicht mit der Zeit, wenn sich das bei allen rumgesprochen hat.

Great gastro service, great food, fair prices, please keep it up

Were there for the second time today as a couple. There were only a few tables occupied at 7 p.m. until the end (10:30 p.m.) and service was more frequent today than last time, but unfortunately it is the last time for the time being despite the great ambience. For the second time, the food was not what was on the menu (different type of pasta) and was lukewarm. But it was warmed up again upon request. The tomato salad with burrata was ok. Drinks came relatively quickly, but eating here always takes a long time, even with simple pasta dishes. At 10:15 p.m. employees started vacuuming the restaurant even though there were still guests there. My personal downlight was that our bill paid in bar (can be downloaded digitally) was simply canceled by the staff without asking, despite the tip, and will therefore probably not be recognized in an audit by the tax office. A rogue who thinks evil... Oh yes, and the toilets smell horrible and unhygienic. A real no-go at a restaurant like this.

We were in the restaurant for the third time and it was mediocrely busy around 3:30 p.m., but it still took far too long for the drinks to arrive. The pizzas arrived after a whopping 45 minutes. The pizzas were cool and rubbery!!! I wonder if the management team sometimes tries such a rubber cake themselves. The restaurant apparently only thrives on its location on the Rhine. With pizzas like this in a city center restaurant, bankruptcy would be within reach. I advise the training team to try a pizza at Peppe's...!

I like to sit there often. Whether it's a business lunch, an evening with friends or a nice date, it's always worth a visit. The dishes are all very tasty and well prepared. And the selection of wines is awesome.

Zunächst waren wir skeptisch aufgrund einiger schlechter Bewertungen, können diese aber in keiner Weise nachvollziehen. Vorspeisen, Hauptgang und Getränke waren hervorragend und der Service sehr freundlich und effizient. Das Lokal war bis auf den letzten Platz belegt. Von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung! Weiter so!

The food was okay, but there is definitely room for improvement. The bruschetta starter was soggy and unappetizing. The drinks came in very small glasses, which was disappointing considering the price. In addition, the toilet area was in a condition that was unacceptable - the smell was really unpleasant. The staff seemed disorganized and slightly overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was not crowded. Overall, not a total failure, but definitely not what you expect for the price.

Da es Silvester war und der Laden a la Carte angeboten hat kam der Koch nicht nach und wir warteten 1,5 Stunden auf unser Essen. Der Service hat versucht uns bei Laune zu halten und war wirklich sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

The old review was excellent, unfortunately my current one is the complete opposite. Just two servers and two in the kitchen are not enough when the store is only half full. You then have to tell guests that it is not possible due to staff. We had reserved for a birthday. The drinks came after about 30 minutes. We waited 75 minutes for the starter. We ordered the main course after 60 minutes after asking several times and waited forever again. The drinks had to be proactively requested. To top it off, the toilets smelled strongly of urine. From 5 stars to 1... unfortunately my last visit. Old review: Great service, kept coming back and asking if there was anything else I wanted. The appetizer platter is easily enough for 4 people. It was already too much for two.

Tisch vorbestellt für 30.12.2024, 19.00 4 Personen wait till seated - haben wir erst brav gemacht - aber da hätte man lange warten können, keiner kam, dann Platz im Lokal gefunden durch Ober Wartezeit für viermal Pizza 80 Minuten ! - Unmöglich - und nicht nur wir, auch andere Gäste fanden die Wartezeit auf doch simple Speisen völlig inakzeptabel. Ausnehmen ausdrücklich möchte ich die armen Servicekräfte, die sich wortwörtlich die Beine abliefen, und auch nur zu zweit waren - sie haben nach Kräften geholfen, geackert und versucht, zumindest auszugleichen - aber auch diese beiden Menschen konnten nicht eine offenbar miserable Organisation kompensieren. Fazit - never again - Konzept klar erkennbar - man will mit italienisch getrimmtem Flair als GmbH Geld verdienen, und natürlich, auch einsichtig, den Profit maximieren. Und wenn Menschen in der Küche fehlen , und noch Pizzaboten nebenbei bedient werden müssen, liegen doch Fehler in der Organisation vor -

We had a starter (buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes, basil and balsamic cream) which was very tasty, as well as a pizza with seafood and penne Monza from the Winterzeit special menu. Both main courses were hot and very tasty. We'd love to come back. It was a nice evening.

Cool atmosphere, service was rather sloppy, the ideas for the food selection are really good, but not so well implemented. At our table we had veal several times, which unfortunately didn't have good meat quality. My schnitzel came with cold potatoes as a "salad" and everything on my plate was very dry. Next time in Mainz it will be a different restaurant.

Hatten 3 x scaloppin. Fleisch war durchwachsen, gegrilltes Gemüse lauwarm und wenig, dafür viel Kartoffeln. Umgekehrt wäre es besser gewesen, eben mehr Gemüse. Anderer Gast hatte Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat, der Salat war ohne Soße, das Schnitzel ohne Soße, nicht einmal Preiselbeeren oder Zitrone. Espresso nur lauwarm. Kellner kurz angebunden, jeden duzend. Musikbeschallung viel zu laut, dadurch störend.

More Disneyland than Italian cuisine. Ordered penne al arrabiata. Pasta was still “floury” and still far from al dente. Otherwise very flat seasoned. I had obviously left the still full plate on the table because it was inedible. Despite the restaurant being quite empty, there was no reaction from the waiter. When I asked you to pay, the service took about 10 minutes. Overall, no recommendation, neither good, honest cuisine nor service with expert knowledge. Ambience, on the other hand, is quite good, but loud. If you want to eat good Italian food, you shouldn't go to Disneyland with amateur actors, but rather to an Italian who puts his heart and soul into it.

Das Konzept ist aufgesetzt. Hier kocht niemand mehr, es wird regeneriert und das mittelmäßig. Das beste ist die Pizza. Fleischgerichte nicht zu empfehlen. Der Service wirkt hilflos und ist wenig kundenorientiert. Im Übrigen hat es nichts mit italienischer Küche zu tun. Alles in Allem; Nicht zu viel erwarten und bereit sein dafür zu viel zu bezahlen.

Wir waren schon öfters im Restaurant gewesen und waren auch immer zufrieden. Leider war der letzte Besuch nicht so schön. Extrem lange Wartezeit auf das Essen gehabt. Meine Pizza war handwarm gewesen die restlichen Essen waren aber gut. Die Kellnerin war sehr bemüht und sehr nett. Wir bekamen von ihr für die lange Wartezeit Pizzabrot als Überbrückung. Auch hier waren wir vom Service zufrieden. Mich hat leider enttäuscht das es mein Geburtstagsessen war. Die Wartezeit auf die Speiisen betrug 1 1/4 Stunden. Durch das gut gemeinte Pizzabrot waren wir alle schon ziemlich satt und haben die Speisen dann mitgenommen. Hoffentlich wird das jetzt nicht zum Standart wie leider so oft auch bei Mitbewerbern, die nicht besser, sondern meistens schlechter werden. Zum Schluss aber noch etwas positives, die Getränke wurden uns schnell serviert und unsere Kellnerin war sehr freundlich.

Sehr netter Service, tolles Ambiente. Etwas schade fand ich, dass es nicht möglich war, einfach Nudeln mit Pesto zu bekommen. Ich musste dafür 18,50€ bezahlen, obwohl ich die Fleischzulage weg gelassen habe. Das fand ich wirklich unverschämt . Ansonsten war alles prima

After a wedding celebration, we visited this restaurant with a large group and were absolutely thrilled! The employees were extremely customer-oriented, flexible and very friendly 😊. They were extremely accommodating to all of our requests, even though we had already eaten and drank well after the long celebration and probably didn't bring in much sales. Nevertheless, the service was always attentive, polite and never intrusive. The food was also very tasty, which rounded off the evening perfectly 🥂. Absolutely recommended!

Beviamo - beautiful setting let down by disappointing service. Beviamo is an Italian restaurant with a lot to offer. The indoor decor is beautiful, the space is ample, and the outdoor terrace is a lovely oasis surrounded with planted olive trees. It's conveniently located near the river and city center, with accessible garage parking next door. The menu features classic Italian dishes and a tempting selection of cocktails and mocktails. Easy-to-use online reservation system available. Unfortunately, the service during our Saturday lunch visit was subpar. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we experienced significant delays at every stage. From ordering to paying, the wait times were excessive (20 min to order + 25 minutes for mocktails + 20 minutes for appetizers + 40 minutes for main dish), and we had to repeatedly request service and payment. Additionally, the terrace, which could be a major draw, was poorly maintained. The floor was dirty with spilled drinks and debris, and the windows and ceiling were covered in cobwebs. I hope our experience was an anomaly, as Beviamo has the potential to be a fantastic dining spot. With some attention to service and terrace upkeep, it could truly shine.

Prices do not justify the food on offer.

À pleasant if not expensive place to go eat near to the riverside in Mainz. Very good service and the food was tasty too. Not so much of a comfy small restaurant but more of chic place to eat and be seen.

Unfortunately the pizza wasn't baked through and there wasn't much going on so we had to wait a relatively long time for service. Actually, I don't like to write negative reviews, but it had to be done here.

I typically shy away from chains, but Beviamos makes a dang good pizza! The crust is nearly perfect, in my opinion, and that is only rivaled by one other establishment in Mainz. I look forward to trying their other dishes. The service is good. The seating by the river is nice. I need them to find a way to segregate the smokers though, as they tend to ruin every outdoor experience...
