In general, it is a very tall TV tower. You can see it from afar, its size is really surprising, in real life it is much bigger than it seems. Although it is huge, this is one of its few advantages. In itself it does not decorate the sky nicely, and the construction itself is simply boring. Apparently you can get inside and see the view from it, which I am unfortunately not able to assess. From the outside it is simply an interesting and huge TV tower, but without any surprises or aesthetics.

The Berlin TV Tower (Fernsehturm) is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city — and you truly can’t miss it. It dominates the skyline and serves as a great visual reference point when you're navigating the city. We started our self-guided walking tour of Berlin from Alexanderplatz Subway Station, which is just steps away from the base of the tower. It was the perfect starting point for a day of sightseeing, and while we didn’t go up the tower, we appreciated it as a landmark and city centerpiece. In our opinion, the TV Tower is actually best appreciated from a distance — that’s when you can really admire how it rises above the Berlin cityscape. From close up, it’s mostly just a large concrete structure at the base, and you lose the visual drama that makes it so striking from afar. Whether you choose to go up for the panoramic views or just enjoy it as part of the skyline while exploring the city, the Berlin TV Tower is definitely worth noting and snapping a few photos of. It’s a great symbol of Berlin — modern, bold, and impossible to ignore.

Two adults and two children go up, see the city, and then go back down, paying 98 euros. In 1988, it was 16 marks, and in 1999, 30 DM. Unfortunately, it's no longer feasible for a normal-income family.

I honestly didn't like the experience at all; the lights reflected off the glass, making it hard to see the city. The brightly lit bar also reflected off the glass, making it very difficult to see the city; we had to wander around looking for something to see. At 368 meters high, the Berlin TV Tower is the tallest structure in Germany and one of the capital's most famous landmarks. The observation deck is located at 203 meters, from where you can enjoy an impressive 360-degree view of Berlin. Elevator & Ascent The elevator took us to the top in just 40 seconds – a very fast ride. Particularly interesting (or, for some, unpleasant) was the opportunity to look through a glass window into the elevator shaft. While some visitors find this an exciting experience, I felt a bit nauseous. Observation Deck & Technology Once at the top, a fantastic view of Berlin awaited us. An interactive app allows you to view important buildings and even remnants of the Berlin Wall on your smartphone, making exploring the city from above even more informative. Price & Service The entrance fee was €32 per person, which, while high for such a landmark, is justified given the unique experience. Unfortunately, the revolving restaurant "Sphere" was closed for renovations, so we couldn't try it out. Conclusion Overall, the visit to the Berlin TV Tower was a fantastic experience. The organization seemed very professional, and the combination of modern technology and historical perspective made the visit particularly worthwhile. The price isn't cheap, but it's highly recommended for tourists who want to experience Berlin from a bird's eye view.

The trip to the television tower with a cocktail and a meal that we booked online was very nice except for a few minor flaws. Weather and views fantastic. Employees are all very nice. There was no space for our reservation. The employee did everything she could to get seats for us. Which then worked. It was very crowded and the "reserved" seats were right next to the elevator. It seemed very disorganized. Maybe that should be improved. Otherwise a great experience.

Disappointing at night – barely visible and an unfriendly reception We went to the TV tower in the evening and were looking forward to a beautiful view at night. Unfortunately, the view was a huge disappointment: Due to the strong reflections in the windows, it was almost impossible to see anything. Photos were barely possible, and even with the naked eye, there wasn't much of a view of the city. In addition, we were treated rather unfriendly upon entry. The staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed when dealing with guests – not a particularly inviting start to our visit. For the price, we definitely expected more. The Berlin TV Tower, also known as the Fernsehturm, is a famous landmark located in the heart of Berlin, Germany. The tower stands at 368 meters (1,207 feet) tall, making it the tallest structure in Germany and one of the tallest in Europe. The tower was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the East German government, as a symbol of communist power and technological progress. It was designed by a team of architects led by Hermann Henselmann, and was intended to serve as a television and radio broadcasting center. Despite its original purpose, the Berlin TV Tower quickly became a beloved symbol of the city, and a popular tourist attraction. Today, visitors to the tower can enjoy panoramic views of the city from the observation deck, located 203 meters (666 feet) above ground. In addition to the observation deck, the Berlin TV Tower also features a number of restaurants and cafes, including a revolving restaurant that offers stunning views of the city skyline. The tower is also used as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, and corporate events. Over the years, the Berlin TV Tower has become an integral part of the city's cultural and historical heritage. It serves as a symbol of both the city's past and its future, and is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

In the heart of Alexanderplatz stands the Berliner Fernsehturm, a steel rod high 368.03 metres (including the antenna), completed on 3 October 1969 by order of the German Democratic Republic, with Hermann Henselmann as the main architect and state builders of the GDR . Built between 1965 and 1969, it was born as a TV and radio transmission system, but from day one it established itself as a manifesto of technological power and an ideological symbol of socialism. At approximately 203.78 metres high, a large sphere 32 metres in diameter acts as a viewing platform, with 60 large windows which on a clear day allow you to look up to 42 km away . Two high-speed elevators – capable of carrying 12 people each in less than 40 seconds – connect the base to the viewpoint, while those who dare the 986 steps of the internal staircase can experience the slow ascent through the reinforced concrete core. Today the Fernsehturm is not only the tallest building in Germany and the third tallest in the European Union, but also a magnet for over 1.2 million visitors a year, of which around 60 % are foreigners from over 90 countries . Although it no longer maintains its ancient ideological charge, it remains a silent witness to the history of Berlin: a treasure chest of memory that unites past and future, capable of telling with a single glance the evolution of a city reborn from its own divisions.
