We spontaneously visited on Easter Sunday with our Havanese dog and received a warm welcome and excellent service, the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. We would love to come back again.

I ordered a schnitzel with fries and salad. I didn't receive the salad and reported this, but I was still charged for it with the explanation, "We don't forget things like that; someone else must have eaten it." Paying for something you didn't receive? I wouldn't go there again; the owner was unfortunately unreasonable and unfriendly.

Delicious food and fair prices. I'll definitely come again!

I've been going to this mountain hut for a while now and always feel completely at home there. 😊 The team is super friendly – ​​the service is always pleasant, and the chef always has a funny joke. The food is always excellent – ​​today we had the roast pork, it was simply fantastic! 👍 Of course, an ouzo after the meal is a must. All in all, a fantastic restaurant that I highly recommend to everyone. 😍

The restaurant is very nice and the view is amazing. The service was friendly, but it took a long time to get our drinks. We had two chef's salads and one cheese spaetzle. I thought my salad with the cheese spaetzle was too salty, and the chef's salad didn't have any ham in it, even though it was listed on the menu. We complained about this, and the waitress tried to convince us that they should have mentioned that we wanted ham as well. We told the waitress to reread the menu text. She said she'd pass it on. I assume the chef came to take the cash, and there was no comment saying he was sorry about the ham. We won't be going there again. We were very disappointed 😞

So: because of the good reviews, we spontaneously went there today with five people. Drinks: Aperol was on the cheap side. Food: The schnitzels were good, that's true. That, at least, seems to be true. The salad on the plate with the baked potato was plentiful, but without any dressing, which can happen. Liver dumpling soup was overseasoned/too salty. I ate it anyway because the liver dumpling was good, but I didn't make it myself, which shouldn't have been a problem since there are only two soups on the menu anyway. The cream sauce for the fillet with spaetzle had a slight taste of ready-made powder. The meat on my grilled dish (over €20, after all) was all dry and firm, so I had no idea about grilling. I didn't eat it and sent almost the entire thing back, and the only comment the owner made was... "It's just grilled..." Huh?? When I pointed out that grilled food can be juicy, I got the feeling he was annoyed, but not "I'm sorry." I still had to pay the full price. Conclusion: The only positive thing was the friendly female waitress, but with a lot of goodwill, I can only rate it as average at best, and I'm sure I won't go back because the price-performance ratio just isn't right.

My first visit since the last change of ownership. The view is unbeatable. We had free seating on a weekday evening. The menu is small, but absolutely sufficient. We received friendly and attentive service. We both had schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and fries, along with a side salad. Everything was very, very tasty! We would love to come back.

Ordered schnitzel with fries and mushroom sauce twice today. When I got home, the food was hot, the fries were crispy, and the schnitzel was excellent quality. What more could you want? 😊 Very good.

First of all, the view is simply magnificent. We really enjoyed the food, and the wait was okay—in other words, it wasn't long. Drinks came right away; we were thirsty after the hike. The service was friendly. So, all in all, nothing to complain about.

The new owner has “settled in” really well. The right menu for a mountain hut and the food tastes GREAT. Price-performance and service fits. Heart, what more could you want after a 2 hour hike or bike ride? And when the weather is good, sit outside to enjoy the view with good German food.

Stopped by for a pit stop during a bike ride; great atmosphere! Both meals (schnitzel/goulash with homemade spaetzle) were delicious and very reasonably priced! To quote the chef: "Everything was spot on!"

The service is friendly, and the ambiance is also perfect. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat all the dishes we wanted because some of the food was already sold out due to Mother's Day. So, we only had schnitzel. The flavor was a bit overseasoned, and the edges were a bit stringy. We had a total of six schnitzels, and four of them had stringy bits. The sauces were delicious, as were the fries. The appetizer salad looked delicious, but some of the leaves still had dirt on them that hadn't been properly rinsed. The cocktail sauce tasted sour, similar to a bottled sauce. The elevated location with the far-reaching view of Sinn and the surrounding area is lovely.

Our meal on site was once again very good. We will certainly come back. You can park directly in front of the mountain hut and when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a good view. The view of the valley from the outside area is great.

The buffet was here on December 25th, 2024. The meat was probably so well done that you don't need a knife to eat it, the croquettes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside

But hello, we came here in the constant fog and received a great welcome. Totally comfortable, fireplace and friendly service. Then there was great roast pork with dumplings and a delicious wheat dish. We absolutely loved it here after a long hike. Be sure to take a look.

I cannot recommend visiting this restaurant. The dishes we ate, for example cheese spaetzle, were carelessly prepared and tasted bland. The pork fillet and the sauce were lifeless in taste. The schnitzel was dry and didn't taste good either. The service was friendly, the wooden house is very nice, great view. I would change the chef.

Not recommended, the table was dirty and smeared. The request to wipe the table was honored, but poorly executed. The "homemade" spaetzle tasted like nothing, the schnitzel came from the deep fryer and not the pan, the salad was poorly cleaned and rotten. Once and never again. It's a shame, the view is unique. Unfortunately, the boss can't handle criticism, but it's exactly this criticism that you should take to heart in order to improve instead of reacting rudely. Too bad!

Schnitzel fans will enjoy their moments of enjoyment here - we promise! We love coming and have enjoyed one or two small family celebrations here. Everything is fine!

Super tasty food but the portions are way too big. However, the service could be a bit faster or more people could be needed for a celebration. The food came little by little and by the time the last ones had their food, the first ones were almost finished. Otherwise great. Great hut, great view over the whole valley.

First of all I would like to mention the mega view, simply magnificent. We went there for dinner for the first time. What can I say, there is a small map, but in my opinion it is completely sufficient. I'm a good eater, but I had to have half of the schnitzel wrapped because the portion was huge. Atmosphere beautifully located on the mountain in a kind of log cabin with a fireplace. All in all we were very satisfied

Nice location with a great view. The steak was a huge portion. However, the chef had difficulties with the cooking point on the first attempt. It worked on the second attempt, but the other guests were already finished. Quality of the meat was so-so, sometimes stringy and tough.

Super leckeres Essen: Ob Rumpsteak, Schnitzel oder Salatteller wir waren von allem begeistert. Auch der Apfelstrudel ist selbstgemacht und super lecker Service: Schnell, freundlich und aufmerksam Preis/Leistung auch richtig gut. Die Berghütte ist wieder sehr zu empfehlen!

War jetzt schon oft da. Immer ein super netter Chef der noch Zeit hat für seine Gäste und auch sehr nette Bedienungen. Trinken und Essen kommt immer zügig. Schmeckt alles sehr lecker und das Ambiente ist unbezahlbar. Gehe oder fahre immer wieder gerne dort hin. Die negative Bewertung kann ich gar nicht nachvollziehen, ich war bis jetzt immer sehr zufrieden und es war auch vor dem Essen immer alles sauber. Wie es danach aussieht liegt ja an jedem selber. Vor ein paar Wochen dort gewesen. Wir werden nächstes Wochenende unsere Hochzeit dort feiern, denn: alle hier abgegebenen Bewertungen seit der Wiedereröffnung decken sich mit unserem Testbesuch: 1-A-Empfehlung!! Nachtrag: Die Hochzeit mit 16 Gästen war ein voller Erfolg! Wir waren in dem hinteren Saal (Platz für ca. 30 Gäste) an einem schön gedeckten langen Tisch, mit Blumen und Schmuck verziert im Almhütten-Ambiente und toller Aussicht. Vorher Besuch der Burg Greifenstein als Appetizer und für Foto-Shooting in idealer Fußnähe. Die Speisen und Getränke wurden zeitgleich serviert und natürlich sehr lecker. Vorteilhaft war die zu vorige Mail der Speisekarte als word-doc zum Erstellen einer eigenen Auswahl an Speisen für das Event. Die Gäste waren begeistert!

Wir waren heute nach langer Zeit in der Berghütte. Es ist kein Vergleich zu früher. Der Service ist exellent, schnelle Bedienung, freundlich, aufmerksam... Das Essen ist sehr gut, die Portionen sind ordentlich (auch für den großen Hunger). Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Leuke plek met mooi uitzicht om even te pauzeren tijdens een motorroute. We konden weer technisch lekker buiten op 't terras zitten en kozen voor een wafel met kersen en een met slagroom met daarbij iets te drinken. Vriendelijk personeel.
