Bergbaude Veilchenbrunnen in Zella-Mehlis

Für uns eine der schönsten Einkehrhütten in Oberhof. Sehr schöne Lage, freundliche Bedienung, und das Essen war lecker. Kommen gerne wieder.

Immer wieder Super gerne, und es schmeckt vorzüglich. Gute Adresse zum Wandern.

Tolle Baude mit ungewöhnlich vielen Speisen und Getränken.

Super tolle Gaststätte, in der man einen richtigen Alm-Flair hat. Der Kaiserschmarrn und die hausgemachten Kuchen (insbesondere Rhabarber und Mohn) waren hervorragend. Auch alle Mitarbeitenden waren total nett, wir kommen gern wieder!

Wer (zumindest wie auf den Bildern zu erkennen) Kakao mit Schuss immer noch als Lumumba verkauft, sollte keine Daseinsberechtigung in der heutigen Gastronomie haben. Eine kurze Recherche genügt um zu wissen, wieso dies moralisch einfach nur abartig ist.

Mitten im Thüringer Wald empfängt einen die Bergbaude mit netten Personal, tollem Ambiente und typisch thüringischen Speisen. Die Roster ist mit 4€ schon gut teuer und etwas dünn aber sie hat geschmeckt :) Auch der Rest der Speisen sah ansprechend aus und wurde an den Tisch geliefert. Bei der Bestellung bekommt man eine Nummer und diese wird dann laut gerufen, wenn es fertig ist und der Kellner liefert es nach einem kurzen "Hier" direkt an den Platz. An sonnigen Tagen ist es sehr voll und trubelig... Gut fürs Geschäft und den Inhabern zu wünschen aber man sollte sich als Gast auf längere Wartezeiten bei Bestellungen einstellen und ggf. doch gleich 2 - 3 Bier ordern. Hier gibt's auch mal ausgefallene Biersorten und den ein oder anderen Cocktail, den wir so nicht kannten^^ Kleiner Geheimtipp: der Innenraum der Baude sollte unbedingt mal besichtigt werden! Toiletten vorhanden und sauber.

Man kann drinnen und draußen gemütlich sitzen. Es gibt auch einige glutenfreie Optionen, u.a. Kartoffelpuffer, Pommes, Rösti, Ofenkartoffel u.a. (mein Kind hat Zöliakie und ist hier gut satt und zufrieden geworden). Bei kaltem Wetter gibt's für draußen auch Kuscheldecken 👍

Sehr sehr leckere und preiswerte Ausflugsgaststätte, die uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen ist. Hier passt Preis und Leistung noch zu 100%. Die Wirtsleute haben das Konzept verstanden. Der Wanderer möchte auf seiner Rast einfach kurz einkehren, eine Kleinigkeit essen und trinken, kurzen Plausch halten und das am besten hausgemacht und zu einem anständigen und nicht überzogenen Preis....und genau das bekommt man hier... chapeau, es hat uns sehr gefreut, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder...ein seltenes Juwel in dieser Raubritterzeit.

Hat mir sehr gut gefallen, auch gute Organisation trotz Selbstbedienung(Bestellung), leckeres Rostbrätel u.der Kuchen war sich selbstgebacken. Wir waren im Biergarten, im Inneren sieht es urig u.gemütlich aus.

Nette Location für Wandertouren in der Region. Insgesamt ist alles in Ordnung, allerdings gibt es nichts, was besonders hervorsticht. Dennoch eine solide Option für einen Ausflug.

Ein Mitarbeiter war so extrem ungehalten und unfreundlich, dass wir uns fragen was das mit Gastfreundlichkeit zu tun hat. Schade, denn so kommt man definitiv nicht wieder. Essen ist in Ordnung, etwas wenig für den Preis.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Bergbaude Veilchenbrunnen 🌺 Es ist kaum in Worte zu fassen, welch besondere Atmosphäre uns jedes Jahr zu Ostern an diesem wundervollen Ort erwartet. Schon beim Eintreten umfängt einen ein Gefühl von Wärme, Vertrautheit und echter Gastfreundschaft – als würde man nicht einfach ein Restaurant besuchen, sondern nach Hause kommen. Über die Jahre ist dieser Ort für uns zu einer liebgewonnenen Tradition geworden, ja fast zu einem festen Bestandteil unseres Lebens, den wir nicht mehr missen möchten. Die kulinarischen Genüsse sind dabei jedes Mal aufs Neue ein wahrer Hochgenuss. Mit viel Liebe zum Detail, spürbarer Hingabe und einem feinen Gespür für Qualität werden hier Speisen serviert, die nicht nur den Gaumen erfreuen, sondern auch das Herz berühren. Das ausgezeichnete Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis rundet dieses Erlebnis auf perfekte Weise ab. Besonders hervorzuheben ist jedoch das einzigartige Miteinander: Die Bedienungen begegnen einem mit einer Herzlichkeit und Authentizität, die man nur noch selten findet – sie sind längst mehr als nur Servicepersonal, sondern fühlen sich an wie gute Freunde. Und Opa Horst, der scheinbar immer irgendwie mit von der Partie ist, verleiht dem Ganzen eine ganz eigene, charmante Note, die diesen Ort unverwechselbar macht. Für uns ist die Bergbaude Veilchenbrunnen weit mehr als nur eine Einkehrmöglichkeit – sie ist ein Ort voller Erinnerungen, voller Herzlichkeit und voller kleiner, kostbarer Momente. Jahr für Jahr ein absolutes Highlight, auf das wir uns mit großer Vorfreude hinarbeiten .

Schmeckt, geht schnell, freundlich, zünftig, sehr zu empfehlende Raststation auf dem Wanderweg, von Oberhof recht leicht über den Stein 16, das Schützenbergmoor zum Veilchenbrunnen und dann hat man es schon gleich geschafft. Schöner Weg, schönes Ziel👍😊

Super süße Baude. Genau richtig nach einer langen Wanderung im Schnee. Stefan ist sehr sympathisch und macht vieles möglich. Lecker ists auch!

Urige Baude mit fantastischer Küche - man fühlt sich fast wie in Südtirol hier.

Die schönste Anlaufstelle im weiten Umkreis. Natürlich muss man Geduld mitbringen aber die Qualität des frischen Kaiserschmarrn, Kreuzberger Bier oder Tiroler Knödel sind herausragend. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt - vor allem wenn man die inzwischen aufgerufenen Preise in Oberhof sieht. Danke für Euer Herzblut in der Küche, hinterm Tresen und am Fenster im Außenbereich. Macht weiter so damit das Kleinod Veilchenbrunnen weiter besteht. Und vielleicht schafft es der Tourismus Oberhof irgendwann einmal, einen Schneeschuh-Pfad durch den Harzwald anzulegen. Dann entlasten wir die Loipen und alle Besucher sind glücklich.

Sehr freundlich aber Kritikpunkte sind keine Kartenzahlungsmöglichkeit und gemessen am Preis winzige Portionen.

Very elegant surroundings, rustic and very cozy... The menu is small and straightforward, featuring standard regional cuisine... Fast service, and the food is plentiful and very tasty... Highly recommended... We will definitely be back 👍👍👍👍👍

A lovely place to stay. Great facilities and friendly staff. Excellent value for money.

On a normal day, it's certainly not bad. Today, October 3rd, a public holiday, it's absolutely poorly organized. No bratwurst stand or quick bites to go. Only if you have a table, but the inside is closed and everyone is sitting outside drinking beer and eating nothing... It's been canceled as a destination for us.

One of my favorite places. I love the simple ambiance there...it's so lovingly decorated, and the food is excellent. There's often a wait, but it's worth it.

The most amazing day-trip restaurant in the Thuringian Forest that I know of. I've never had fresh Kaiserschmarrn anywhere else in Thuringia. And it's good, too! I remember this place from my childhood, and it's beautiful what it's become. Run with a lot of love. You sit quietly in the forest and can really enjoy yourself. Highly recommended!

A great destination in the Thuringian Forest, both in winter and summer. Today we walked here from the roundabout in just under 45 minutes. The food is absolutely delicious, with everything from savory to sweet. There's always a spot in the beer garden, even if we had to squeeze in a bit today. 😃

Unfortunately, the non-alcoholic beer is charged at 19% VAT. 7% would be correct.

Cozy atmosphere with music. Tea and coffee were good. Easily accessible from Oberhof via a forest path. Good signposts for hikes.

The Johannismühle Wildlife Park is a wonderful experience for all ages

Very, very nice hut in the middle of the Thuringian Forest, Kaiserschmarrn is perfect, kids love it, and the overall atmosphere is wonderful with nice hut music in the background. I've been there very, very often with kids, even alone, even in winter.

Great inn, very tasty food, reasonable price. We paid a total of around €50 with three children and drinks. The location is also great, there are some hiking trails starting here.

Beautifully located in the Thuringian Forest. From Oberhof - Rondell it takes a good hour to walk to the building. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Price-performance fits. It's certainly very cozy inside in winter. Was here again 1 week ago -April 2025 and had the spinach dumplings. They were damn good. 🤗🙏🏻🤗

Great mountain pasture, which can be easily reached from the Rondell, Grenzadler car park or from Zella-mehlis. It's also nice that you have to hike here and there are no car tourists. Cozy, rustic, with delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff that is well organized.

Very nice mountain lodge where hikers are warmly welcome and always have a place. The food was super delicious. The landlord was very friendly and took the time to talk to the guests. He recommended a good bargain to us. For us one of the best forest restaurants in Thuringia. You have to have been here.

It's unbelievable how someone can be so unfriendly.

The Bergde is a beautiful hiking destination from Rondell Oberhof. It gives the feeling of a cozy ski lodge. There is a sufficient menu for drinking. The food (can only judge what is available outside) is rather poor. Ordered Viennese - got cheese wiener (without pointing this out beforehand). A simple barbecue stand would probably suffice as an outdoor dining option. The staff was super nice, but in my opinion poorly organized and slow (and probably hard to find there too). Despite everything, recommended as a hiking destination.

Great recommendation! Super friendly owners and excellent food. The Kaiserschmarrn is highly recommended! The owner gave us tips for our way back and gave us the best advice. Everything is really perfect here, we would love to come back.

Traditional mountain lodge with a rustic atmosphere, photos from the turn of the century and old skis on the walls. The food is good, home-style with the best quality at good prices. Always worth a hike.

What a surprise in the middle of the forest. I completely overlooked it when planning my tour of the “Zunft und Kloß” hiking trail. I was even more looking forward to a little refreshment. The apple pie was very tasty. The food at the other tables also looked promising. Many thanks to the nice service at the kiosk and see you again soon! 👌

Without a doubt, very tasty. Quiet and relaxed during the week. You should plan some time every now and then on the weekend. But the food is always very tasty.

Despite the full hut 😅 yesterday on the holiday there was a well-rehearsed, smooth and, above all, friendly service. Small menu but good quality food. Beer from the Cross⛰️ is always delicious. The 2 hour journey 🚵🏻‍♂️ over hill and dale was worth it. The mining lodge is a cozy and inviting place, ideal for a rest after a hike or a trip to the Thuringian Forest. The ambience and friendly service create a relaxed atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The menu offers a selection of hearty regional dishes that taste especially good after a day in the fresh air. Overall, a wonderful place to stop for a break for anyone who wants to enjoy nature.

Unfortunately it was very crowded. The food was good but needed 40. It was a nice hike through the still existing Thuringian Forest. Clear recommendation!
