We have on August 6th. Had dinner in the inn. We were served quickly and the food was very tasty. When we collected the money (we paid individually), the "service person" thought our son's tip was too small and, according to her, it didn't come from the heart. She didn't accept the tip. I have never had to experience such outrageousness.

We chose to eat in the courtyard dinning area. Service very good , friends and accommodating for baby. Food was great, large portions. WC upstairs very clean.

Wir waren zum Geburtstag mit 31 Personen sehr zufrieden. Spitzen Büffet mit sehr guter Auswahl, unkomplizierte , schnelle freundliche Bedienung! Alle Gäste waren begeistert… ein großes Dankeschön!!

Really wanted to like this place. Took a seat and waited….and waited. Waitress with blond hair was drinking a glass of wine with friends at another table and too busy to serve anyone. I got up to get service inside, after waiting and , as she saw me go inside. she responded in German that she would be there when she was finished. OK, why didn’t you come over whileI waited? Too busy drinking with friends? Drink on your own time! A different waitress approached and started to berate me, in English, claiming her colleague was just talking with friends and not drunk on the job. Really! Ok. Good try. but your “colleague” never came over to serve me at all and you did! She had a wine glass in her hand and was drinking! I don’t care she’s drinking, I just want a drink! Then, the new waitress started complaining and berating me because I I placed the menu she gave me on a wet table after a rainfall . OK, do blame me? Clean the table. It’s your job . Where was I supposed to put the menu? Served my drink by a guy. Third person I saw. Where was my waitress? No tip. No food order. Never come again… Very Disappointed. I was ready to spend a lot of money having a good time but the mood was spoiled. Recommend the management supervise their personnel to make sure they are serving customers instead of drinking.

A really great inn with a beautiful and cozy courtyard. The food is incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. Beer and wine can also only be recommended. The service was very friendly and accommodating, so you could feel really comfortable. Any time again when we are in Weimar again.

Basically quite tasty, my steak was a bit shaggy and the knife wasn't really sharp. The overall service was good. Drinks and food were delivered quickly and the portions were plentiful. If I eat there again at some point, it will probably be the cheese pretzels or a knuckle.

Von dem Moment an, als wir Johann’s Hof betraten, war die Atmosphäre unglaublich. Das Personal begrüßte uns mit echten Lächeln und tadellosem Service, was uns sofort willkommen fühlte. Das Essen war von dieser Welt! Jedes Gericht war ein Volltreffer, meisterhaft zubereitet mit Aromen, die uns einfach umgehauen haben. Diesem Ort nur 5 Sterne zu geben, fühlt sich wie eine Untertreibung an; er verdient eine ganze Galaxie von Sternen! Wenn Sie ein Speiseerlebnis suchen, das hervorragende Küche mit einer freundlichen, professionellen Atmosphäre verbindet, sollte Johann’s Hof ganz oben auf Ihrer Liste stehen. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, meinen nächsten Besuch zu planen!

Durch einen wirklich herzlich gestalteten Torbogen kommt man in einen gemütlichen Biergarten. Man ist sofort überzeugt. Die sehr nette Bedienung empfängt die Getränke- und Essenswünsche sehr professionell und das Essen kommt innerhalb einer Viertel Stunde. Das Essen ist wirklich obere Klasse und sehr gut . Auch der Gang auf die Toilette ist eine angenehme Erfahrung. Alles in einem ein wirklich nettes Wirtshaus mit qualitativ hochwertiger Küche. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss stimmt hier vollkommen.

Ich war hier zwei Mal zum Abendessen während meines Weimaraufenthaltes. Am ersten Abend, als es sehr voll war, fand die freundliche Bedienung noch einen Platz für mich. Das Essen, einmal Ochsenbäckchen und am zweiten Abend Haxe, war sehr gut und mehr als ausreichend. Ein kaltes Helles ist ja sowieso ein Traum! 😉 Also: Sehr gutes Essen, tolles Bier, freundliche Atmosphäre und nette Bedienung. Preise? Nicht billig, aber die Abende waren es wert. Eine Reservierung ist sicherlich nicht verkehrt.

We got there because of the good reviews. And they were absolutely confirmed. We had asparagus that was absolutely on point, which really surprises me in the restaurant industry. The schnitzel was great. From veal and really well made. The drinks are solid. The service worth mentioning was good and friendly. For me it was a business meeting and the restaurant is recommended for that too.

This was our second attempt. This time it worked and we were able to enjoy our dinner. This is a typical restaurant with lots of beer and delicious hearty food with decent portions. Definitely not for people who want to lose weight. I would like to come again.

Just awesome. Despite a full house, the service was remarkably good, quick, funny and relaxed. Price-performance ratio is reasonable. The portions were more than plentiful and the cuisine was excellent. My wife and I will definitely come here more often.👍👍👍Highly recommended

We had a late lunch a few days ago and were very happy with the food - schnitzel and cheese sparrows with pulled pork. If you like spicy, ask for their house sauce - it burns violently, but is very tasty.

My expectation was that it would be a brewery - and the place sometimes looks like one, especially in the courtyard. The interior is rather small and cramped, modernly designed. Pinch: Veal schnitzel €28 and smoked trout with bread €17. Beer only in 0.5 sizes. The food was quite good. Points deducted for the female waiter who answered our question about which beer was available here: “Look at the menu boy, that’s why I brought it”. We didn't think this statement was appropriate for a guest over 60. Apparently they explained the types of beer to us. Maybe we just had a bad moment.

The restaurant has a small courtyard. It is very comfortable to sit outside when the weather is good. I ordered the pork back 4.7 points, soft and delicious, and the elbow 4.5 slightly fat but very fragrant. The service was excellent.

Food rustic and expensive. Quality okay. Staff friendly. The guest room is chic but not particularly comfortable. Beer garden in the inner courtyard is certainly more pleasant when the weather is nice.

Sehr gemütliches Brauhaus- Ambiente mit sehrnettem Service. Da wir früher da waren, wurde extra für uns schon geöffnet. Über Weihnachten abgespeckte Speisekarte mit bayerischen und weihnachtlichen Gerichten. Essen sehr lecker, Portionen zumindest für uns zu groß, und das, obwohl ich um nur einen statt zwei Klöße gebeten habe. Allgäuer Kaaspatzn sehr nah am Original mit schönen würzigem Bergkäse. Toller Biergarten, der im Sommer sicher fantastisch ist. Definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Immer wieder lecker Essen hier und dazu ein kaltes frisches Bier. Einzige Anmerkung ist bitte die Teller zu erwärmen damit das Essen noch warm bleibt beim Gast.

Bedingt durch einige Weihnachtsfeiern im Lokal war ein unglaublicher Lärmpegel und natürlich hatte das Personal sehr viel zu tun.Lobenswert die online Reservierung mit einem Rückruf .Das Essen Käsespätzle war okay und das Personal freundlich und flink .

Waren zum Mittagessen hier. Von allem positiv überrascht. Essen war schnell da und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren hier zum ersten Mal und hatten Glück ohne Reservierung einen Platz zu bekommen. Das Essen war einfach fabelhaft. Der Nachtisch eine echte Überraschung (daher auch nur davon ein Bild). Eine wirklich freundliche und lustige Bedienung machte den Aufenthalt noch umso schöner.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Wer mal in Weimar ist, sollte sich auf jeden Fall einen Abstecher in dieses Restaurant nicht entgehen lassen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und gut sortiert, da findet, meiner Meinung nach, jeder etwas. Die Gerichte sind super lecker und preislich im mittleren Segment. Die Angestellten waren sehr motiviert und super drauf, was den perfekt abgerundet hat. Alles in allem mehr als empfehlenswert.
