Beim Ditsch in Füssen

It's really nice here. Regional food and drinks in a casual, cozy atmosphere. You can eat well here and/or simply enjoy a few cold drinks. The value for money is excellent. Service is fast and very friendly. Card payments are accepted. And that's not a given in restaurants in Füssen. The covered, sun-protected terrace is in front of the restaurant, directly facing/in the pedestrian zone, but it's car-free and quiet. Ideal for people-watching. We spent 10 days in Füssen, and although there are numerous restaurants, we went to Ditsch three times. We couldn't get any higher praise.

Unfortunately, we can't give more than 5 stars 🌟!! Chance brought us here!! The place is small, fine, and cozy! You feel welcome and a bit like home!!! The food is delicious, and the meatballs are a bit like grandma's... the menu is small, fine, and well-stocked... there's something for everyone here!! The people who work there... radiate an infectious warmth!! This makes eating and drinking fun!!! Please keep it up

Unfortunately, instead of a meat roll, they serve a type of sausage, in our country it is called "boiled sausage", if they had honestly written that it would be a questionable sausage instead of meat, I would not have ordered it. It is sad and disappointing, because it seems like a scam.

The Swiss sausage salad was delicious, and it was easy to change the order to a pretzel instead of bread. The service was very friendly, and the wait time was short. All in all, a definite recommendation for a stop, whether you're just a little hungry or very hungry. I'd happily return and give it a thumbs up.

Seems like a nice location, but they're not trying to make money during the season. The kitchen closes at 8:00 PM, and orders aren't taken at 7:45 PM. The waitress's explanation is, "We've been working late." Sorry, not a recommendation on a beautiful summer evening.

It was simply wonderful at Ditsch! There were five of us, and everyone was very satisfied with the food: tarte flambée, schnitzel with potato wedges, and Swiss sausage salad. The tartuffo desserts and the chocolate soufflé were outstanding. The food and service were excellent!

We ate lunch at this restaurant not once, not twice but all three days in Fussen. To our delight we had the same server all three times and she was the essence of hospitality. As Americans, we were somewhat sketchy with communication, but she spoke perfect English and made us feel very welcome. The food came out quick, it was piping hot and most of all...it was Fantastic! Then came the bill, inexpensive compared to what we had been paying elsewhere on our trip. I wish Beim Dietsch many years of success.

If you're looking for a cozy place to stop, especially at lunchtime, why not "Beim Ditsch"? The hospitality radiated by the service staff is particularly noteworthy. Guests feel at home here! The menu is manageable overall, and the dishes are quite good, albeit a bit on the higher end.

We ate here after a very long and sunny day and were very satisfied. The service was first-class and the drinks were very good. The food was okay overall. The roulade was a bit tough and the spaetzle didn't have much flavor. The sauce was delicious, though! If we're ever in Füssen again, we'd be happy to come back.

One of the best food I have ever had. The Rinderroulade mit Spätzle was fantastic, full of flavour. The Apfel Strudel was something out of this World. Not much sugar, perfectly balanced.

It's a cheap restaurant that doesn't taste cheap. The staff is very friendly and they didn't ask for tips. I recommend it to those who come to Germany and want to eat German food. I ordered two menus for about 16 euros including beer for one person.

Great local food, the service was excellent if didn't have to go i would be eating here at least once a week, try the Beef rollade it would knock your socks off!!! 10 out of 10!!! Highly recommend

What a find was this restaurant!! We had dinner our last night here and we shared a salad and had the Mac and cheese and the Wiener schnitzel and local bier! The food was very good, the service fast and the ambience, vibe and owners all sehr gut!! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Fussen! Highly recommend!

We visited this place while traveling through the area and were amazed by the excellent service and the flavor of the food. Everything was excellent.

Superior! Absolutely fantastic! No matter what you eat: meatballs with potato salad, schnitzel, tarte flambée, or just a Pretzn with Obatzda (obatzda)... everything is perfect! The only people around you are satisfied guests praising the food and beaming, contented faces. You see the same people yesterday as you do today. And rightly so! Even the wine recommendation is excellent! Dear Ditsch'ens: what you're doing is exactly right, please don't change anything! Best wishes, a tourist who's totally in love 💚

A very cozy restaurant with lovely accents and decor. The food was okay, but I would have preferred a salad with the schnitzel and sour cream or something similar with the dry potato wedges, rather than just ketchup or mayo. The service was very good. I would come again, though.

The home-style dishes are a poem. Delicious light beer or a nice wine from the Metzger winery (Palatinate). Highly recommended, prices reasonable.

Extremely friendly and empathetic service. Because a group had just ordered, a pre-emptive apology was made and it might take a little longer. The food came quicker than some other restaurants without “group dining”. The food itself - visually and tastefully appealing. When the weather is good, there are a few tables outside, so the location is ideally quiet. For all other days there are a few tables inside - it is rather small and therefore nice and cozy. A small suggestion for improvement anyway: card payments without restrictions. From 20€ it's really unnecessary in 2025. If you have such a bad contract, use another provider. And calculate the full costs for cash - then you should soon be informed that "here only card payments" :-) Thanks for a nice stay!

Sapevamo di trovare una cucina semplice e tipica e anche che il personale è gentile e attento…e così è stato! Quasi obbligatorio mangiare la Schnitzel, accompagnata da delle gustose patate arrosto. Prezzo nella media dei ristoranti del centro: in 4 abbiamo speso circa 60 euro.

Nice little restaurant on the very edge of the old town of Füssen. The waitress absolutely has to be highlighted. She was very friendly, quick and always had a good saying ready. The soup and the tarte flambée were very good. The tarte flambée was already pre-cut. Experience was a 10/10. For larger groups you should make reservations at certain times.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! We ordered the schnitzel and Apfelschorle, both were absolutely delicious, and the portions were really generous. But what really made our visit special was the incredibly kind and welcoming waitress. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, but her warmth and friendliness truly made our day. Highly recommended!

There were no tables inside and when we sat outside in the cold he did not hesitate to let us know and seat us inside as soon as one became free. Attentive and friendly 👍🏼 The food was super good! Very good restaurant in the old town of Fussen. The weather was nice and we were able to enjoy the very nice terrace. The waitress was very friendly. The dishes were delicious with very good value for money :) I recommend their apfelstrudel, yum!

Incredible hole in the wall. Had all chef recommendations for appetizer, 3 cheese pasta main course and apple strudel (and chocolate) dessert. Amazing!!! Lager on tap, house wine and a double espresso at the end.

We felt very welcome and had a good time there. Very warm and courteous service. Schnitzel, potato salad and Maultaschen, followed by liver dumpling soup, Paulaner on tap. Everything was very delicious! We were lucky to get a seat inside without making a reservation.

This restaurant was like a savior to me when many restaurants were closed on Monday and Tuesday! The recommended beef was delicious, but the goulash and mac and cheese were delicious. Not to mention the Paulaner Draft. It was a pleasant meal with a friendly and nice atmosphere!

Super nice waitress and nice to sit outside and therefore highly recommended. We imagined cheese spaetzle to be something different and were expecting homemade spaetzle, unfortunately that's not the case and relatively expensive at €15 per portion.

Wir sing zufällig hier vorbeigekommen. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Interessantes Konzept mit Deko, die man hier auch gleich kaufen kann. Die Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterin waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war gut.

We’ve chosen this place according to TripAdvisor recommendations and I should say that we are so happy that decided to visit exactly this restaurant. Cosy, authentic place, you feel so comfortable here, super friendly owners, excellent service and the food is AMAZING. I will always remember apple strudel, it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Hope this marvelous place will be opened for many many more years to make its visitors as happy as we were upon visiting it.
