Bei Stojan in Clausthal-Zellerfeld

We went to the restaurant on a Saturday without a reservation. Naturally, it was fully booked. Thanks to my husband's powers of persuasion, the four of us were allowed to sit at the "gift table" right in front of the counter. Very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the gourmet platter for four. The menu was supposed to include various meats. But somehow, it was just pork prepared in various ways. The mushrooms were super good, as was the spicy sauce. The rest was okay. The salad buffet was also okay, but I found the oil and vinegar dressing to be far too vinegary.

Delicious dishes for meat and fish eaters, as well as vegetarians. The portion sizes are generous—you won't go home hungry. All ingredients are freshly added (e.g., mushrooms).

Good food in a nice atmosphere, good value for money

Rather a simple ambience, not very reminiscent of Balkan style.

The food is very good. And so is the service.

We stumbled upon this place at lunchtime while passing through. What immediately caught my eye were two massive holes in the tablecloth, which were impossible to miss, and didn't make a great impression. Otherwise, it was quite clean and tidy. We waited about an hour for the food, but it was worth it – the portion was generous and delicious. We paid around €50 for two people, which is fine. The service could have been a bit more responsive, but otherwise, there's nothing to complain about – everyone was very friendly.

Super delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere and at "still" reasonable prices. Each guest can choose their own salad to go with the dish. We were very impressed with "Stojan." Highly recommended.

Impeccable food and a great place to eat when you're really hungry. The ambiance lacks a bit of Balkan flair and is more reminiscent of a German restaurant, but that's just a side note.

We ordered food (called and picked up). After we finished eating, we all felt sick – we all had stomach aches, even the day after. - (We all had different dishes) - (Plus, none of us finished our food because we didn't like it). I had a cream of mushroom sauce that simply tasted like a packet of sauce and canned mushrooms. The appetizers were also semi-good. All of them seemed to be of poor quality. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

You have to wait 2 hours for food

Delicious food, good portion size, fast, friendly service. Only the music is a bit annoying. But I'm also sensitive.

The food is excellent. I haven't eaten such delicious food in a long time. The schnitzel is juicy and the vegetables are fresh. The price-performance ratio is perfect. And no matter what you order, whether starter/main course/dessert, everything tastes great and that can rarely be said. We have eaten here several times. In short, it's just great.

I can only recommend this place and especially the staff and the kitchen. Everything was great, great taste at a low price. We keep coming back.

We wanted to go out for dinner spontaneously and decided to go to the Balkan restaurant Bei Stojan to go out to eat. We were really excited, very tasty food, large portions and at a great price. We were also served quickly. So a visit is definitely worth it.

Went to the restaurant today on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, with a 2 year old child, we had to wait over 1 1/2 hours despite repeated requests for our food. Food was ok and sufficient. But the food doesn't correspond to reality: I ordered turkey medallions but unfortunately received turkey schnitzel. My mom's food wasn't cooked but half raw. We wouldn't actually come back: after we paid, excuses would be made and false reasons would be given as to why we had to wait so long. Really a shame.

Today we were at "Stojan's" and had a very good meal! Schnitzel "Viennese style" with fries and vegetables, vegetable pan with hollandaise sauce and gratinated with cheese. Plus rice and salad. The service was also very nice. If there was something to complain about, perhaps it would be the huge portions... but at that price that would really be a complaint on a high level. We say thank you very much!

Food and service were ok. What could still be improved would be the cleanliness. Unfortunately, the glasses were not clean, as were the napkins and the tablecloth. The flowers on the tables have also seen better days. It's not a typical Balkan restaurant because they also serve gyros. The grill plate is ok but nothing special.

We came here by chance because of a job in Clausthal and then looking for a restaurant. We didn't have a reservation and still got a table. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly. We can highly recommend the restaurant!👍

Prices are friendly and my steak was good. I also recommend the meat dishes here. There is a salad bar where you can help yourself. The main courses take a little time (60 minutes), but that's not a bad thing. The staff is great and you are offered a schnapps at the end. What more could you want 😌

Very tasty food at very moderate prices. We enjoyed it very much, the portions were more than sufficient. The salad buffet is also unique. One point deducted due to the very long waiting time (over an hour!). Please hire a second chef. Then we'll come more often.

Was here with friends last week. We ordered different dishes and were extremely satisfied. Even though it took a little longer for the dishes to be served, they were all freshly prepared. I personally can recommend the grilled lamb skewers.

Restaurant was very busy. So I had to wait 1 1/2 hours for a grill plate. Many other guests paid for their drinks and left after an hour. It would have been nice to have information when ordering. The explanation was “we only have one cook”.

And everything is beautiful again. We were there 4 years ago and it was no longer the same as in Zellerfeld. But Now we really enjoy going there again. Everyone is friendly and has fun at work. You feel good again and can enjoy your food. We can only recommend it to everyone.

At Stojan there is a great Balkan restaurant. It was my second visit and with the great summer weather on the last day of April we sat outside and had a delicious meal. The service is really good and the orders were laid out on our table quickly. The boss was on site during both visits and always had a kind word to say. The ambience is really nice and functional. There is a salad bar in the room which is freely accessible from all sides. The toilet was simple, but really clean. Everyone really enjoyed our food. My stir-fry was really delicious, but it was too much for my stomach, so I left some of it back. The obligatory Julischka also tasted really great and created this feeling of consistency. A tradition that you look forward to when you enter the restaurant. My conclusion: A really great restaurant that is worth a visit. The food is really tasty and the portions are more than good. Information about my recessions. All the information I write down here is a snapshot and completely subjective. If I visit a place a second time, my assessment may be completely different. Service very friendly and accommodating. Gyros unfortunately had lots of pieces of fat. The salad bar is very manageable and could do with more selection. Drinks are hardly carbonated. You get what you pay for. Price/performance ratio appropriate to the circumstances.

The atmosphere is quite cozy inside and the service is also friendly. However, during our visit we had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for our food. The food was really tasty, but nothing special. But you can't really do anything wrong here.
