We had a delicious meal and the Hus Alt was also delicious.

A server who's quick-witted, an excellent cream schnitzel, a very cozy atmosphere – what more could you want?!

Nothing extraordinary, but a nice atmosphere.

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday at Becherhus, and I highly recommend the restaurant. The party rooms are located on the first floor and are incredibly cozy. One room has a long table that could accommodate all of our guests, 30 adults and three children. The buffet was set up in the adjoining room, and there was also a dance floor. The buffet was unique and received high praise from our guests. The service was exceptional. We were served wonderfully by Kim and Max. The two were on the ball and fulfilled our every wish. Restrooms are also available on the first floor. Everything was perfect. What's negative? ......*Nothing* absolutely nothing. We had a perfect, wonderful evening. We will definitely have the Becherhus restaurant host our next family celebration again. A big compliment also to the chef, Alex Unger, who gave us excellent advice beforehand and is a professional in his field. Thank you very much for everything.

Great food, very nice ambience, perfect service

Great food and delicious beer, but the service is really unfriendly.

We used to come here from Italy several times a year because my mother didn't live far away, and every time we found an excuse to have a really good meal here, and the beer tastes fantastic anyway. Everything was excellent. It's a shame my mother is no longer alive; coming here from Piedmont for a good meal is a bit too far.

Cosy brewery-style pub in a traditional slate covered building and old timber structures inside. Food is fresh and really good quality featuring some local classics and seasonal menus. Beer garden in the back.

We ordered catering from Becherhus yesterday for a photo shoot – my verdict: perfect and a truly heartfelt recommendation! From the very prompt and reliable communication, through the consultation, to the delivery and pickup, the contact with Alex Unger and his team was incredibly friendly and reliable. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations – it was lovingly prepared, very high quality, and, of course, incredibly delicious :-)

A really great restaurant, very pleasant in the beer garden, delicious food, great drinks and excellent service.

We went to the very nice beer garden for lunch for the first time in a long time, as we had picked up the "kids" from vacation. We had 1) Bacon pancakes with chanterelle mushrooms: Excellent, generously topped with plenty of mushrooms. Superb. 2) Bacon pancakes (regular): Also very tasty, good bacon and a great batter. Fried nice and thin. 3) Husbrot (house bread) with Mett (ground pork): As always, a poem and crispy bread. Dessert to go with it: blueberry pancakes with Hus ice cream [my son was starving from the flight]. It was also great, generously topped. 4) Scampi pancakes: There were plenty of them and they were nice, plump scampi. The best part, though, was the broth: delicious olive oil with cherry tomatoes, onions, the finest garlic, lemon wedges, and rosemary and thyme sprigs, all served extremely tasty. Not a standard spicy chili broth, but for me, a Mediterranean delight! 5) For dessert, my wife had two types of Hus sorbet: simply delicious, and something a little different, too: melon with basil, for example. A delight and tasted like more. A truly enjoyable lunch for all four of us in the lovingly designed beer garden. A big compliment to the service: very pleasant, attentive, and friendly.

Delicious food 🥘 We ate at Becherhus this evening with eight people. All portions were generously sized and the prices were reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The bread and dip as a starter was delicious. Thank you!

Früher waren wir im Becherhus sehr zufrieden, aber in diesem Jahr sind wir bereits das dritte Mal an einem Biergartenbesuch gescheitert.... jedes Mal wurde bei dem schönsten Wetter erklärt, es wäre Regen angesagt und daher bliebe der Biergarten geschlossen. Heute, am 25. Juli, war herrliches Sommerwetter bis in den Abend hinein und wir waren wie die letzten Male auch in einem anderen schönen Biergarten zu Besuch....schade! Im Winter muss man noch lang genug drinnen sitzen...

My first visit to Becherhus, and I was immediately impressed. The dining room is decorated with attention to detail and exudes the charm of a turn-of-the-century inn. The menu offers delicious, sometimes simple, home-style dishes. Here, you can indulge yourself in a very pleasant way and eat to your heart's content. The espresso afterward was the highlight of the evening. I would give Becherhus 6 stars...

A quaint, modern brewery with a truly beautiful ambiance – a great blend of coziness and style. The menu is varied, creative, and seasonally coordinated. You can tell that they pay attention to good ingredients, which is also reflected in the taste. The staff is mostly friendly and attentive, and the service was prompt and pleasant. There was one downside, unfortunately, when it came to hygiene: The same small bucket with water and a cloth was used to clean all the tables throughout the evening – we found this unhygienic. We posted this notice, but the response was rather unfriendly. That was a shame and somewhat dampened the positive overall impression. Nevertheless, we'd happily come back because the concept and atmosphere are just right. A lovely place to enjoy and linger – with some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness.

We had schnitzels, nice but not excellent. Good for a quick bite. Very fast service though! A bit annoying that the waiter starts talking about tips while you are paying. As if we owe it to him.

We stopped in spontaneously today, even risking not getting a table...we were lucky 🍀 and it was very busy, and the service was friendly. I don't usually like sitting between two tables, but the people sitting next to me were so charming that I felt very comfortable. The food, even though it was quite busy, arrived quickly and was very tasty. The only thing I could have done was to use a colder beer, but that's just complaining at a high level. We'll definitely be back soon.

Becherhus is certainly a restaurant steeped in tradition. Unfortunately, I personally find the menu rather limited. I opted for the schnitzel, which was truly delicious. Unfortunately, it was a bit dry and the portion size was modest. A side salad is a must, in my opinion.

We love it here! The waitresses are always courteous, polite and very attentive. The food is good, home-style and the quality of the food is always very good. The card changes regularly and is never overloaded. It is sourced from many regional service providers, which we think is particularly good. Simply an extraordinary feel-good atmosphere.

We come from Hesse and were invited. Great place. Nice ambience. The food is all homemade. And what made me particularly happy was that it was very child-friendly. Many families with small children.

Pub, therefore quite loud. The service was friendly and good. Small menu.

Can only be recommended. We have been there several times now and it has ALWAYS tasted very good. The crime dinner was also a lot of fun. We look forward to next time.

The Becherhus is a really great restaurant. We met up with friends here absolutely spontaneously. Even though it was really busy, I still managed to get a table for 4 people after waiting at the counter. On this day there was the famous Haxe and the Kölsch brewed especially for it. That's why it was almost fully booked. Unfortunately the knuckles were out, but we got some Kölsch. The waitresses are on point, the atmosphere is great and the food and beer are delicious. What more could you want?

We were there at lunchtime, but unfortunately we had to wait a very long time, over an hour for the main course. We felt like the waitress had forgotten about us... The schnitzel and black pudding were deep-fried and quite greasy... and there was no green leaf salad on the plates... it's a shame it wasn't on the menu. Otherwise, we would definitely have chosen something else. The fries are also very greasy.

Actually everything went really well. The main course was very tasty. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about dessert. But if you just want to eat well and are not a fan of dessert, you can recommend Becherhus.

I ate Panhas here for the first time. Super tasty. The beer made especially for the Becherhaus is very good and the service is friendly, attentive and fast. I was here on a Wednesday, the Becherhaus was full to the brim and therefore a bit noisy.

We were only able to reserve a high table. But the boss reacted when he saw that we had come with two people over 80 years old and prepared a normal table for us. Great, thank you very much for that. The service was top, the food was top notch, goose and prawns. Price performance more than top. We've been there several times, my father hasn't yet, but he'll definitely come again with friends. Update 12/2024 - how nice is that?! On every table; There was a branded chocolate Santa Claus on every spot today! That is so endearing and appreciative. We are happy about so much hospitality. And our food on top was also very tasty. The Becherhus is a really good address. Have fun there! Nice pub. Beer selection is great. The food is delicious and we and our friends always enjoyed it. We enjoy going to Becherhus and would highly recommend it.

Zum wiederholten Mal hatten wir einen schönen Abend im Becherhus. Die Speisen, in diesem Fall, Gänseessen, waren hervorragend. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, trotzdem hat es an nichts gemangelt. Der Service war flott und sehr nett und hat sich auch noch Zeit genommen, um Fotos von uns zu machen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team vom Becherhus. Wir werden weiterhin, beruflich und privat, gerne zu euch kommen.

Netter Abend in ruhiger Athmosphäre mit gutem Essen und lecker Bier. Das ist das, was ich am Becherhus schätze. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis geht in Ordnung.

Rustic atmosphere and the menu is manageable. The food is great and the price is also reasonable. The meat is supplied by a local butcher and the quality is correspondingly good.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good goose leg. Thanks also to the service team for doing everything possible for us, despite the reservation mishap, so that we could still enjoy the goose legs.

Unser Abend im Restaurant war grundsätzlich angenehm, und das Essen sehr gut. Leider wurde der Gesamteindruck durch erhebliche Probleme mit unserer Reservierung getrübt. Wir hatten bereits vor drei Wochen über OpenTable reserviert und eine Bestätigung erhalten. Einige Tage später waren wir vor Ort essen und nutzten die Gelegenheit, nachzufragen, welchen Tisch wir bei unserem geplanten Besuch bekommen würden. Uns wurde ein bestimmter Tisch zugewiesen, den wir jedoch ausdrücklich ablehnten, da wir diesen für unser festliches Weihnachtsessen mit Gans als unpassend empfanden. Daraufhin wurde uns Tisch 17 zugesichert, worauf wir uns sehr freuten. Als wir jedoch zum reservierten Termin eintrafen, wurde uns dieser Tisch auf äußerst unfreundliche Weise verweigert. Stattdessen wurde uns klargemacht, dass wir den ursprünglich zugewiesenen Tisch akzeptieren müssten. Als ich darauf hinwies, dass uns Tisch 17 bereits zugesichert worden war, stießen wir auf keinerlei Einsicht oder Entgegenkommen. Stattdessen entwickelten sich weitere Diskussionen, die in einem unprofessionellen Ton geführt wurden. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass dies nicht das erste Mal war, dass die gebuchte Tischreservierung nachträglich vom Lokal geändert wurde. Wir verstehen, dass bei einer Reservierung für zwei Personen nicht immer ein größerer Tisch möglich ist. Doch die Art und Weise, wie unser Anliegen behandelt wurde, war in keiner Weise angemessen. Statt einer Lösung oder zumindest eines respektvollen Gesprächs wurde uns mehrfach klargemacht, dass es „keinen anderen Tisch gibt“ und wir andernfalls gehen müssten. Mit dem Engagement einer anderen Mitarbeiterin, die sich bemühte, konnten wir dann doch noch einen Tisch bekommen, da andere Gäste gerade bezahlt hatten. Solche Erfahrungen hinterlassen leider keinen guten Eindruck, denn Gastfreundschaft und ein professioneller Umgang machen den entscheidenden Unterschied – und genau das hat uns an diesem Abend leider gefehlt.

Ein sehr netter Abend bei sehr gutem Essen und Getränken, mit sehr freundlichem, zuvorkommendem Personal und dann auch noch preiswert. Klare Empfehlung! Wir sehen uns sicher wieder... ;o) Vielen Dank!

The food is top. Requests are always taken into account and the service staff still have a smile on their faces despite the full house. 5 stars are far too few. Our absolute favorite restaurant. We also like to drive 90km for this.

Rundum gelungener Abend. Service war schnell, sehr freundlich und humorvoll. Hatte auch Zeit, für zwei, drei Sätze Essen war sehr lecker, mit einem Hauch vom Besonderen. Räumlichkeiten waren gemütlich und die Dekoration stilvoll.

Very stylish inn where we got a good table after a short wait without a reservation. Delicious beer and very tasty food, gladly again.

Schön, daß noch Restaurants gibt, in denen man auch eine größere Auswahl an deutschen Gerichten vorfindet, und das in einer sehr gemütlichen und rustikalen Umgebung. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und schneller Service. Dies Alles zu zivilen Preisen.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Das Personal und der Chef waren sehr gut drauf, freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer für einen guten, humorvollen Spruch gut. Besser kann man einen Abend nicht verleben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

My meal was a failure. I ordered suckling pig knuckle with pointed cabbage and dumplings. Overall the food was too salty. The knuckle wasn't cooked very tender. The pointed cabbage was still far too hard and too salty. It tasted like raw food. The sauce was also too salty. It's a shame for the money spent. My criticism of this was brushed aside by the owner. No understanding, no regret, no goodwill. A sign that the guest is not valued. The consequence of this: you look for something better.

We came especially from Mönchengladbach and called ahead. When we arrived at 8:50 p.m. we were told the kitchen closed at 9 p.m. We spoke on the phone at 8:20 p.m. We should have been told in advance that the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. A total of 120km drive and back home with a hungry stomach. Das Essen war wie immer gut und lecker. Schön, dass man uns gleich zwei Tische reserviert hatte: Draußen und drinnen.

Sehr lecker, sowohl Essen als auch Getränke. Toller, freundlicher und schneller Service. Der richtige Ort für einen schönen Abend.

Great beer garden, incredibly delicious food with large portions. A good selection on the menu and a monthly changing special offer (currently Bavarian for example) and very nice service. Also very nicely decorated inside. Always worth a visit.
