Beans Country in Wedemark

We tried to reserve a table for 19 people today. We were surprised by the response, asking what kind of profession we were in to make such a request. We were also told that the kitchen staff would be overwhelmed with such a large group. I found the phone conversation rude and unaccommodating. For this reason, we unfortunately didn't manage to visit. Therefore, it's not recommended for larger groups.

We spent a wonderful day together with our dog. First, we enjoyed something delicious warm, then a little later, a specialty coffee and cake. We sat in the garden in the wonderful weather and had time to enjoy and chat. Many thanks to the team; we'd love to come back.

We only had coffee and cake, but it was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. A great atmosphere. We'd love to come back next time we're in the area, but we'll definitely order something savory.

We were guests at Beans in 2024 for our family reunion and wanted to try it again, as things didn't go so well last year. The ambiance is absolutely lovely, the flowery menu whets the appetite, so we made a second attempt yesterday. But last night, with 34 people registered, was a real disaster! By the time the last of us got our food, the first ones had finished long ago. We found the loud announcements and harsh remarks from the service staff very unpleasant, and it took four attempts before the vegan asparagus plate arrived in a truly vegan version. Almost all of us were very disappointed with the quality; two portions were not charged because it was out of the question, which is a real disappointment. It's a real shame when you leave with a grudge as a guest. One hopes that Beans will work on its service and quality so that it can be happily recommended.

Pretty good food but don’t come here with a large group, as they can’t handle it. This is the second time we came her with our (quite big) family, and the orders constantly went wrong, plus lots of us got their food while others had to wait. Most plates were finished while others didn’t even had their food yet. Definitely won’t come back here with the fam.

I was invited to a celebration here. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. As advertised, there were meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. Overall, I was very impressed.

We were there on a Saturday with a large group. We had vegetarians and meat eaters, and everyone was able to find something on the menu thanks to the extensive selection. The dishes are incredibly delicious and truly creatively prepared. The server was super friendly and made us feel like we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant. A truly wonderful experience all around! We'll be back!

We discovered this restaurant while passing through and were thrilled. The food was delicious and high-quality. A dream for vegetarians. The staff is very friendly! We were the last ones there and were kindly given a short tour of the entire grounds. We were even able to sleep in our rooftop tent in their parking lot. I would come back anytime.

I like to criticize, but there's nothing here! The prices are very fair, the food is among the best I've had in years, and the service was truly fantastic. The restaurant also has the perfect location in a small forest. Incredibly rustic and close to nature. The decor strikes a wonderful balance between modern upcycling and traditional architecture. If we didn't live on the other side of the country, we'd definitely be regulars! These dishes are all so sophisticated and delicious that I really have to recommend everyone to stop by. PS: Apparently, you can also have wonderful weddings here. Gorgeous

The visit was a culinary experience.

A very attractive yet cozy location, perfect for celebrating. We felt extremely comfortable and well looked after at the wedding reception, to which we were invited as guests. From the farm's decor to the delicious food and the attentive and friendly staff, it was a perfect day! Highly recommended!

Burger was half raw, the fries were rock hard, the prices were salty! EUR 16.80 is a proud price for such a small burger. We went there twice: the first and the last time!

Our wedding was beautiful and professional, just as you would expect. From the first appointment we felt very comfortable, all of our wishes were taken into account and we received excellent advice. The whole staff was very nice and attentive, the food was of the best quality. And even if little things went wrong, we responded immediately. Spontaneous requests could also be implemented. You can eat well and have a great party here. We would love to come back, including to the restaurant.

This was my second time at Beans Country and I enjoyed the beer garden in the summer and the fireplace room in the winter. Dining there was the right decision in both cases. As a vegetarian, it's a dream to experience so much choice on a menu. The ambiance is very cozy, and the service very friendly and accommodating. I had the vegan duck breast in the winter for just under €23. The menu was worth the effort, but the portion sizes are rather small for the price. It's certainly fine if you're not very hungry, but my friend, who I went with, also said that she wouldn't eat there with her partner because he wouldn't get full. As a suggestion for improvement, I would perhaps like to see more grams in the side dishes (vegetables, potatoes, dumplings, etc.) to make the experience more enjoyable. Nevertheless, I would eat there again 🙂

The restaurant is located where you wouldn't expect it. It is lovingly and rustically furnished and has an exceptional menu. It's all fine. The only thing that was annoying was that one of the duck dumplings was still frozen on the inside.

Rather by chance, after a hike. we came across this restaurant at the end of the universe. And were very positively surprised. The service was quick and friendly. The selection and food are of good quality and priced to suit today's times. Keep it up and always keep the customer in mind.

Old cozy farmhouse, feel-good atmosphere. All you can eat cake buffet is a really good idea with a delicious selection of cakes and very good coffee. The employees are warm and present. Low barrier. I'd love to come back.

My partner is not vegetarian, but I am. We were both thrilled by the variety of the menu with lots of great vegetarian dishes, but also classic dishes like burgers etc. for non-vegetarians. There really is something for everyone here and both the Mr. Cauli steak for me and the burger for him were unbeatably good! The drive from Hanover to Beans was definitely worth it as it is a super romantic restaurant. The festival barn on site was particularly impressive; I could imagine getting married here one day ;)

On the occasion of our 5th company birthday, we invited 200 customers to Beans. And what should we say? It was a really nice day! Thank you for really delicious food and great service! We got married here and absolutely love the store. Very good vegan-friendly food and great ambience with a classic style with selected modern elements. The playground and the cute donkeys are a great bonus, especially with small children.

We found this restaurant by chance while on vacation in the Aller-Leine Valley. The card was quickly studied and the selection was made. Our child also found something suitable. The quality of the food, selection and service were top. Prices very reasonable for what is offered. Keep it up!!

Unfortunately I can't rate the food at Beans. We actually wanted to eat there today, but the miserable service put a damper on our plans. My cold starter, mixed salad, was served after 3/4 hour. The bottled beer we ordered was brought after 15 minutes. After 1 hour our food was still not nearly ready for us to eat any time soon. So we drove back hungry. That was the first and last attempt to eat there today. Many other guests were also upset. However, we were the only ones who had the courage to go.

Where should we start, from the food, service to the Althof family! Simply everything is great! We like to eat there because it's super fresh and delicious, but there are also opportunities for our two girls to play and children are welcome there. We also celebrated our wedding there (barn) from the first meeting to our big day, everything was always uncomplicated, super friendly and there were always a few tips included! THANKS ! Our guests were all thrilled and I think there will be a few more “regular” customers 😊 But the service team with Kai at our wedding also needs to be mentioned, they were all super attentive, friendly and played along with every joke! At brunch about three weeks ago I would have recommended this restaurant without reservation, but unfortunately I have had to go there since yesterday, September 1st. 24 row back a bit.... the (young!!) staff was probably a bit overwhelmed??!! After the delicious meal we asked for a dessert menu, all the desserts were not cheap...ice cream menu! The request was first brought and only later were we informed that there would also be a cake buffet from 2 p.m....my dessert for €10.30 didn't taste good at all (there were three other guests at my table who tried it). it worked that way too!! I would have been grateful if the staff had mentioned the cake buffet... Then I would have simply had a choice... Well, bad luck...I'll be wiser next time...

What a great, loving restaurant. We were able to stay here with the motorhome for free. Lots of very creative and delicious vegan/vegetarian dishes and the husband was also very happy with his schnitzel. We felt completely at home, thank you for the lovely evening.

We found this restaurant almost by chance. There are primarily vegetarian and vegan dishes, but also matjes, schnitzel and burgers. We found completely new menus on the menu and found that everything tasted great. The waiter was very friendly and cheerful. He then enthusiastically showed us all the rooms in the old farm. Today we had dinner at our wedding location again on the occasion of our wedding anniversary and it was simply extremely delicious! First of all there was a delicious greeting from the kitchen. As a starter we shared the starter variation, which was explained in detail by the waitress and was varied and delicious! For the main course I had a double cheeseburger, which is also highly recommended, but I regret not just choosing one of the great vegan/vegetarian dishes. My wife had a vegan Greek gyros (the meat substitute here was a fruit) and that was also delicious! At the end there was a brownie plate, but check out the pictures for yourself!

Ate very tasty, imaginative dishes in a traditional setting. And at the same time lived completely meat-free and didn't miss anything. Tastes great!

This restaurant and location is run with so much love. The service staff is relaxed and incredibly warm and tries to fulfill your every wish! The food is fantastic and also incredibly tasty for anyone who otherwise finds meat important. Everyone really gets their money's worth here. If you are looking for a wedding venue where you feel in good hands, then you should definitely say yes to the location!

You wouldn't have expected such an innovative range of vegetarian and vegan dishes out here in the village. The “experimental kit” is particularly recommended. It's best to order the main course afterwards and take the impressions of the starter into account. Meat and fish eaters are also in good hands here. Almost all of the ingredients are organic.

We celebrated our wedding in the Beans barn and loved the Beans from start to finish. During the initial consultation, all the components of a wedding celebration were explained to us transparently and understandably. Rehearsal dinners and organizational arrangements went smoothly. The celebration itself was a complete success. We received many compliments on the location and food. Allergies were well catered for. If you are looking for a wedding location with character and fantastic food, this is the right place. Many thanks to the whole team for this wonderful experience! The "normal" food in the restaurant is also delicious, service is good and friendly.

If I want to go to a beer garden, it should be uncomplicated. It was more than complicated there. We had to wait until we were shown a free table (of many). The card was only brought when called, as was the order. We let you know, this person had to tell another person. Unfortunately, we notice this every now and then and make us avoid the location and would really like a relaxed atmosphere (in the Wedemark) to just drink a beer... phew, tiring. And the food is really quite good, but the service is difficult. The rating for the ambience refers to outside. It's very nice inside.

It was amazing how arrogantly we were treated because we didn't stay on the pitch as instructed, but instead wanted to take the drinks with us to the climbing frame. The gentleman behind the bar was so condescending and unfriendly that we left. The reason for not being the playground of Wedemark is understandable, but please not in that tone.

The concept, the employees, the food, the interior design - everything here is lovingly thought out and you can tell that a lot of passion goes into the implementation. We were here with my parents and my father liked the vegetarian gyros so much that he didn't even miss meat - a huge success!

At the buffet, the food was often out of stock and you had to wait until it was refilled. The warm food was okay, but rather boring for me. Otherwise everyone was very nice and it's a great atmosphere. I'll come back and then like to order something from the menu.

The food was ok, if you want vegan, this is the right place, selection ok. What really bothered me was that it was very shabby, old furniture could be nice, but it was mostly broken and worn out, sad. Walls could also use some paint. Everything is so cramped that it's hard to get through, even the friendly staff had a hard time. The background noise is terrible.

We celebrated our outdoor wedding at Beans in May and it was just perfect. A free wedding ceremony on the meadow was very important to us and Beans made it possible at very short notice despite the changeable weather conditions. We are very grateful. It was also important to us that the menu was purely vegan and this was easily implemented. The food was great, we were particularly impressed by the starters and desserts. The ambience was equally beautiful. The newly renovated barn is beautifully furnished and has a very special style. All in all we felt we were in good hands. We felt well supported throughout the entire process, questions were answered quickly, every one of our wishes was tried to be made possible and the service at the celebration was also great. We went there for the first time because of an advertisement in the newspaper. A very pretty farmhouse, with a nice beer garden. Very appealing atmosphere. We were also impressed by reading the menu...hence the trip there. Unfortunately I'm not convinced of the price-performance ratio... We had a mixed starter plate (two slices of eggplant, three slices of zucchini, two mushrooms, a few wheels of carrot, three small pieces of pepper, garnished with a little rocket for just under 14 euros) ... which I think is really overpriced. My main course was cauliflower wings fried in a tempura coating...unfortunately they were then coated in barbecue sauce, which made them look like wings, but they weren't crispy at all...a shame. The menu said: Cauliflower wings with fascinating spices, with barbecue sauce and sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, the wings were now also on top of the fries...which meant they were rather soggy. The waitress responded to my criticism in a friendly manner. However, there was no concession. My husband's burger was ok. Unfortunately the meat patty was well done, We would definitely come by again to have a beer, but not to eat.

Good day. We found communication with your restaurant today to be an absolute disaster. Emails from participants have not been answered in the past three days, nor did they respond to our call today on the occasion of Whit Monday. So today we stood in front of closed doors with our cycling group. A negative recommendation.

Were there for brunch. At 10:30 almost everything was eaten and only a little was refilled. We had to wait a long time for service staff. Guests were sent away in front of our eyes, even though outside and inside were free.

We weren't at the restaurant, we were at Beans as part of a job at a wedding reception. Everything was lovingly decorated. Every employee was friendly, extremely attentive and accommodating without being overly present. The buffet-style food was beautifully arranged, neither overcooked nor cold and lovingly prepared with absolutely fresh ingredients. After this experience we will definitely visit the restaurant too. The journey is definitely worth it!

We spontaneously went here for dinner on a Friday evening. Mostly vegetarian, vegan cuisine. There is also a small selection for meat eaters. We had schnitzel and an asparagus dish. Both incredibly delicious. The dessert was incredibly good. The dog was also allowed into the cozy country inn and was the first to be looked after. We will definitely accept the hour it costs us to get there again.

Organic restaurant in a beautiful location. In terms of price, the Sunday brunch is currently in the normal price range at 30 euros including hot drinks. The food was good, but not more for me personally. The dishes were rather unimaginative and standard. Based on the many very good reviews, I was expecting something more special. Especially for the vegetarians and vegans, the offer was not what was expected. No special types of cheese, fried eggs or anything like that. There were no muffins or anything like that either. Basically I don't have a problem with that, but if it's advertised that vegans and vegetarians get their money's worth, I would have expected a little more choice in this regard. What stood out, however, was the fresh bread and croissants. Unfortunately, many foods were always sold out quickly, so the kitchen couldn't really keep up with restocking. Which was to be expected given the sold-out brunch. But everyone was full 😁 Because the restaurant is very dog-friendly and four-legged friends are also allowed in the restaurant, there was a bit of a hectic moment when two of them didn't really like each other and expressed it loudly. Otherwise, it is definitely recommended to reserve a table. When we were there, almost all tables were reserved and occupied at peak time. Conclusion: The price is completely okay, the ambience is nice, but something is still missing for the 5th star.

Very sad - I've heard several times how unfriendly and listless the restaurant is. Today I personally had the experience myself. As a welcome we were “shouted” to go where we wanted to go. We couldn't get anything with several people - nobody wanted to eat anything, just a coffee or a drink. The beer garden was empty - clearly no one was in the mood here. I have never met anything so unfriendly. They didn't want us like that and we were turned away. Other guests at the entrance could only shake their heads.

Just wow and 5*! Vegans/vegetarians can have a great meal here. But people who eat meat will certainly get their money's worth too. From the service to the taste of the food, everything was great. We had the chai latte with almond drink, the watermelon steak and the Greek Invasion. Everything was delicious - the chai wasn't too sweet and the spices weren't skimped on. We are grateful for a sophisticated menu, courage, quality standards and personnel selection, especially here Is worth mentioning Ines, who has already provided Hamburg well and again in Wedemark Found your new/old home. Excellent service/service. We felt very well looked after, although there were small mistakes here and there with the young staff, which are forgivable. The dishes are bold, great and very well prepared and tasty. Please stay on your path with (organic) quality and vegan attitude. This is the way and the future. Thank you for a great afternoon, every euro spent in this location is well and properly invested. I'm really more than thrilled. I haven't been to a restaurant in ages where you could eat so well and the service was so good, without long waiting times and there was genuine friendliness. Out of a spontaneous idea, because of the unusual vegan/vegetarian dishes, I (as a meat lover) just wanted to try something different and would forego my usual steak for this meal at any time.

Beans has a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes that are really unusual, creative and beautifully presented. The staff is also very attentive and professional! There are also traditionally cloth napkins, which are rarely available these days. Overall, a really great restaurant where modern food meets a rustic atmosphere. Absolute recommendation! (For absolute meat eaters, you can still find a few meat and fish dishes on the menu ;))
