BD Sushi in Geilenkirchen

We were there for the first time today, and the food was delicious. We had chosen a few appetizers, as we wanted to try a bit of everything. When we asked if it was just appetizers, we felt unwelcome. What we then experienced unfortunately had nothing to do with hospitality. Almost all the tables outside were free, and two guests were informed that they couldn't just sit down at any table but had to ask first; none of the tables had the word "reserved" written on them. These two guests only wanted a drink and nothing to eat, and they were immediately asked to leave the restaurant, as they also had to eat something in the restaurant. No information on this could be found anywhere. As the owner, you should ask yourself whether this is what hospitality means and train your employees in friendliness. What a shame!!

We've been there twice now and were very satisfied both times. Whether it was schnitzel or apple pie, everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

Our visit with five people: The ambiance was nicely decorated for Christmas. What was irritating for us was the "walk through the kitchen" after passing the snack bar and the counter. The name suggests a selection of "Spanish" dishes... unfortunately, apart from the tapas platter, nothing else is on the menu. International... German home cooking - Turkish baked potatoes (dry and baked too long) - American "grilled goods." The concept didn't feel coherent for us. The service seemed hopelessly overwhelmed at times. After ordering a dry-aged steak "rare," a steak arrived medium-rare. Upon complaining, a smaller steak, also rare, was delivered on a very hot plate... which the waitress then simply placed on the wooden board at the table. The guests had to swap the pieces of meat and remove the plate themselves. The cream for dessert was the cheapest whipped cream... even there, there are differences in quality! But the highlight of the evening was the "chef"....quote: "If a guest orders a dry-aged steak, I assume they know what they want." A well-briefed server can explain what a guest might want to order during the ordering process and point out that there might be problems with certain dishes. We've experienced this in other restaurants. All we can say is...communication between the server and the kitchen...is key.

Good products, fast service and moderate prices.
