Since I have time to write the review because I've been waiting for the food for 2 hours, I haven't had it yet! The service is……. And the rest so-so! Definitely not worth recommending!!!

One of the best locations in Leipzig for good food and beer. Atmosphere is typical brewery and therefore exactly what you expect there. This time we had very friendly and fast service! The Leipziger Gose is a must, as is the outstandingly good knuckle. The price-performance ratio is still good. Highly recommended!

The two of us were here to toast my birthday. The location is great and the service was also very friendly. The food was really tasty, and the dessert was also outstanding! I can recommend it with a clear conscience 👌

Was there on beer day. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing; Spare ribs with fries and liver cheese with potato and cucumber salad. The fries were great, the rest tasted strange and not fresh. Too bad...

I was at the restaurant on a Thursday evening. Reservations via the website are currently only possible for a maximum of four people. A more flexible option would be desirable, especially for larger groups. The order went quickly, the service staff was friendly but very reserved. We wanted to order something twice during our stay. In both cases we had to make ourselves clearly visible in order to get the attention of a service person. This seemed inattentive and spoiled the overall impression. To eat: I had veal schnitzel with white asparagus, parsley potatoes and hollandaise sauce. Schnitzel: The breading was significantly thicker than the meat. The meat content was low, which gave the impression that quality was being skimped on here. Asparagus: Very well prepared - fresh, tender and tasty. Potatoes: Also successful – well cooked and appropriately seasoned. Hollandaise sauce: The taste was okay, but the portion in the small bowl was too small. It was simply not enough for the amount of asparagus. A second helping was not offered. The atmosphere was pleasant – well-kept and cozy. The house beer tasted very good. Conclusion: A restaurant with a nice atmosphere and well-prepared side dishes. There were weaknesses in the service and the quality of the schnitzel. The portion size of the sauce should also be adjusted. Overall with potential, but currently still with clear points of improvement.

I actually don't like large guesthouses like this and we had to wait some time until a place became available. But the schnitzels and the beer were very good and plentiful, the service was quick and nice.

In a nutshell.....it was great, delicious food, great ambience, friendly service, I felt comfortable. I will definitely come again

Nice ambience. Own types of beer. Staff slow and overwhelmed. Food very meat-oriented. Some at the table had to wait a long time for their food because there were apparently no plates left. A restaurant with such a reputation cannot afford that.

I was very disappointed today. Under no circumstances did they want to sell us food in the beer garden. Even asking the person in charge didn't help. The reason was an approaching rain that didn't come even after 1.5 hours. I have to think twice about coming here again.

In this restaurant, side dishes are not exchanged but are charged very expensively. In the catering industry an “exchange fee” is charged, which is not the case here. If you leave out a side dish, it will be reduced slightly and the desired side dish will be charged in full. The service staff approved our request to exchange the insert without informing us that everything would be charged extra. For this reason we will no longer visit this restaurant and will not recommend it to others.

We went to the public beer seminar at the Bayerischer Bahnhof on Saturday. It was an absolute highlight. Super tasty drinks and good lunch. The tour was wonderful and the seminar leader was absolutely top class. Highly recommended!

Yesterday I returned with dear friends to the Bayerischer Bahnhof in Leipzig - a place that is more than a restaurant: a temple of culinary delights. We took a seat in the rustic car, surrounded by warm wood and genuine cosiness. The dishes - my pork knuckle, the others' schnitzel - were perfect in preparation and presentation, a quiet feast for all the senses. Plus Gose: bitter, lively, filled with the deep art of brewing. O you Bavarian train station, haven of table delights, be praised forever! Anyone who doesn't know you doesn't know what a proper banquet sense is.

Nice brewery with delicious beer and very good brewery cuisine. There is a large selection of drinks and there is something for everyone. The food is very tasty, the portions are large and the price is really reasonable. The bread with the dips is simply great. You should reserve a table.

I am not sure if I will return. Ambience is great. Food is good. I ordered a chicken pasta, a beer flight, and pretzels with Bavarian butter that was served promptly. However, the servers are very unfriendly. That’s why, the 3 stars. There is a need for the management to train the staff on basic etiquettes.

Original Leipziger Gose - the name of this beer sounds very inconspicuous, but it is absolutely amazing! If I didn't have to drive over an hour to Leipzig, I would have stopped there again today. The service was extremely friendly and warm. We felt very comfortable. I had a huge knuckle for dinner. Crispy on the outside - as it should be, very tender on the inside. The ambience... There was music playing - subtle, but very well chosen. I could have stayed there for a few more hours. In my opinion, we did everything right yesterday by visiting this great restaurant. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this!! :-)

The food here tastes very good and the portions are large enough. The price is definitely justified. The service is also very friendly and the atmosphere is unique.

We have been here three times now and always enjoy coming back. The food tastes very good and is very plentiful. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and responds to the guests' wishes. If you want to eat here at peak times or as a group, we definitely recommend making a reservation. Especially suitable for beer lovers thanks to its own brewery and in summer the great beer garden is highly recommended. But even in winter it's a really nice and uncomfortable location in the old Bavarian train station. Simply a successful Bavarian brewery with authentic food and drink.

We were there on a Saturday evening. Without a reservation it will be difficult. There were also some people waiting at the front. The ambience and the decor were great. That's how you imagine it in Bavaria😀 The food was very tasty and there is a very large selection of starters. It's hard to decide. We had a sausage salad that was really delicious. We would come again😀

Absolute recommendation. Delicious food, interesting beers, nice atmosphere and very friendly service. We were very satisfied. Just stay away from the "umbrella" - Gosebier with 4cl Allasch caraway liqueur. This is only for those who like to experiment 😅

Unfriendly service – not a second time! Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. When we arrived we were assigned a seat. Since there were three of us, we picked up a third menu from the next table - a seemingly harmless process. But the waitress immediately reacted unfriendly, reprimanded us harshly and even called us “impudent guests”. Later, when she took our order, I politely asked her if that was her usual way of dealing with guests. Unfortunately, she remained unfriendly and countered stroppy. At this point it was clear to me that a factual discussion was pointless. About the food itself: The salad was excellent, the rest of the food was okay, and the drinks were okay too. However, after this experience, I cannot recommend another visit - friendly service is simply a must for me.

I travel here and there across the world, and the food here is the finest in entire Europe. Visiting Leipzig without eating here is visiting Rome without seeing Saint Peter's Cathedral.

Today a poultry curry, that was a failure. Probably leftover duck meat, some vegetables on rice? It was inexpensive my mistake. The food wasn't charged and the service was very friendly.

So, you have to look at the reviews like this: It depends on where you sit: The main dining room is very nice and the service is quick (that was requested and confirmed every time, but ->). But if you sit in one of the adjoining rooms, I would plan a warm sweater and a lot of time in winter. It had been 1 1/2 hours until dinner and we were about to leave... The service is slow, no blame, but please hire more staff!!!! This is my 3rd experience in the guest room, from now on only beer garden!

Very large restaurant a little outside but still easy to reach by public transport. Despite the large number of guests, I received excellent service. It took a while for the food to arrive but it tasted very good. During my stay in Leipzig I ate here twice. If you are coming with several people, you should reserve in advance.

Warm setting, we feel good there Unfortunately the quality of the meat was not up to par, one of the 2 pieces of meat in one of the dishes was inedible because it was too hard, the fries were not good. Perfect location, nice ambience. Located in the city center. Food is good (try self made bread, it’s fantastic), but service is unfortunately very bad. Service is not attentive and served not ordered meals and drinks several time. You have to take care by your own, if you need some more drinks… not acceptable.

Good food BUT It's very stupid to pay more to be surprised with a birthday cake! Let's face it, we're all human and we should be open to a surprise that will make a person happy! It's not all about the money!

Bayerischer Bahnhof offers good German food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The fish dish stood out with its vibrant sour notes from the confit lemon slice. The Goze, a beer from Leipzig, was also excellent. The vibrant food and drink are a refreshing change from the typically heavy German fare.

I had rum steak with country potatoes and beans. Honestly... the food wasn't worth the money. My steak wasn't well seasoned, but otherwise okay, the herb butter that came with it tasted like foamed cream past the herbs. The beans oh well, a bit of bacon in the pan and a few beans on the side, that's it and the country potatoes, the worst I've ever eaten. To me it looked like potato peels that had been fried in fat for too long and that's how they tasted too, I wasn't expecting unseasoned chips. The sauce and the cask soda were the only things I liked. Ambience, we were in the winter garden and it was beyond cold and when I went to the toilet I thought I was going into the ice cellar. For my part, it was my first and also my last time in this restaurant. Oh yes, you have to give it a good one, the waitress was nice.

Friday afternoon without reservation. "Please wait, you are being seated" - okay, no problem. Wait 5 minutes, there is exactly one employee who is seated and he is currently selling beer and schnapps to take away at the counter. "Unfortunately there are only places left in front of the bar with high chairs" Okay, no problem, just for a drink then. The bar is really busy, so let's go out and have a smoke. MA thinks we want to go and tells my companion that we don't need to come back. But that's a problem. Conclusion: not welcome. Too bad. And basically I have very bad GDR gastronomy associations with “Please wait, they will be seated” and I always find the system difficult. If you do it like that, then everyone in the house has to see where things are available and don't make the guest wait until the street sales are over.

Today I ate a delicious goose and enjoyed the house beer. The service is really extremely friendly, they tried very hard to accommodate me as a solo traveler. A relaxing address away from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market with a good price-performance ratio.

The goose here is simply delicious. You don't have leg and breast on your plate everywhere. The sauce is very tasty. The red cabbage was homemade and very tasty. There was a small baked apple on the plate, which was also very good. There could have been a little more sauce on the plate. Otherwise everything was really tasty, especially on the leg there was a lot of meat and the breast was also good. Above all, the price of €23.90 is completely clear.

Really very good food! Nice brewery food (the Franconian snack is really huge), the potato bread is great and the home-brewed beers are also excellent. It is recommended to spend a few weeks in advance on the weekend To reserve in advance.

Our European beer tour guide (From UA) took us here for lunch as part of beer tour. The building was a railroad station before and the theme of the restaurant also railroad related! My wife and I had their samples and I liked their dark beer which I was not a fan of dark beer before! The goulash and my fish and chips are super good. We enjoyed very much!

Excellently run restaurant. First class service. Very friendly, competent and accommodating. We were here primarily to try the Leipzig beer Gose, but of course we also wanted to eat. The Gose is of course a matter of taste, but something different. Unfortunately, the dishes we tried were all just average: giant schnitzel, pepper steak and Vinschgau cheese schnitzel.

Had schnitzel. That was one of the worst schnitzels in Leipzig so far. Ambience was nice. Unfortunately I wasn't able to taste the beer.

A really good guest in Leipzig. Beer restaurant and event location, the Bayerische Bahnhof has a wide range of options. The homemade beers are very good. You can also get a real Leipzig Gose here. The food is home-style German with a Bavarian touch. Only the menu could be revised. If you come here regularly you will know them by heart. Nevertheless - Bavarian train station, always happy!

No había una selección más grande como esperábamos y también su cerveza de la casa local no era tan grande como en otros lugares. La comida era agradable, pero no tan especial como esperábamos. Cierran a las 10 de la noche y a partir de las 9 aproximadamente. 20 pm estábamos esperando para atrapar a nuestra camarera para pagar nuestra cuenta, pero nadie vino durante bastante tiempo. Al final tuvimos que levantarnos e ir a buscar a alguien que volviera a nuestra mesa. Estaba un poco fuera de control y no muy sonriente!

We were here for the second time today. Food was fantastic again. Waiter Lars is fun for everyone. The home-brewed beer also tastes fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious pork roast for €15 and great service

The four of us had dinner last night. The waitress was warm, open-minded and, despite an obvious wrist injury, smiled (carried the heavy plates all evening) and served us quickly. We felt comfortable as guests. It was quite warm in the dining room. Despite the many guests, it was pleasant to chat at a table level. The food was very tasty (tagliatelle, roulade, hunter's feast and cheese plate). There could have been a little more fruit on the cheese plate (for a sweet, fresh note in contrast to the savory cheese). But we would like to come back and thank you for your hospitality.

I had dinner with friends at your restaurant on October 20th around 6:00 p.m. We were well served and really enjoy coming here. Unfortunately we had a small problem with an employee yesterday. She was a little older and had blonde hair. When we paid, a few friends of ours tipped and some of us didn't. The employee also asked whether something was wrong and also asked why there was no tip, which was very borderline asking something like that. Because I don't know how people ask for tips directly. Then she also booked 10 cents more when she entered the amount on the card reader, even though the price had a straight amount (for example 48 euros, she stated 48.10 euros. You could see how she thought for a moment about what amount to enter. I would describe this procedure as “punishable”) Unfortunately, we only realized afterwards that she had entered it that way on purpose. And after paying she approached an employee and said in front of us that she couldn't understand why some people don't tip. I was so upset that I asked her if it was directed at us. And of course she said it was over another table. Nevertheless, the waitress told me that it was incomprehensible not to get a tip. So it was directed at us after all. This is not America, and everyone has the choice to tip or not.

Stylish ambience and fast service. The hearty tavern cuisine on offer was very tasty. Plus home-brewed beers and everything at reasonable prices. What more could you want? However, reservation is recommended.

Amazing level of service and generally friendly atmosphere even for english speaking tourists. Before we left we already knew we will come back there one day again. Food was absolutely on top. Not even mentioning the price, which is lower than some other restaurant and you can clearly tell the quality here is few levels higher.
