Great location, great service! We had a very enjoyable and pleasant evening.

We had a wide selection of beers and a variety of food. The salad with cheese dumplings was really good. The homemade bread is also highly recommended. The beer selection is good :)

We've been here many times, and the food is absolutely excellent. German cuisine is something to look forward to. The drinks are also above average.

We came here for a beer and it was busy (Saturday night), but we still managed to get a spot at the bar. The dark beer was great, and the Allasch is also recommended, but of course, not everyone will like the taste. Later, we ordered a portion of fries. The dips were really good, but the portion could have been a bit larger.

Highly recommended restaurant if you are in Leipzig. It is away from the historic center but it is worth the trip. The food is very good and tasty and at a very fair price, the quality-price ratio is good. However, the service is a bit chaotic at times (they got three dishes wrong) and the atmosphere is noisy (at a table of 9 it was hard to hear who was sitting at the other end)

Redtaurant next to the old station with a very varied menu and good service and food. The place is very cozy, with many tables available. The vegetable soup was very good. The price is correct, but the place is a bit noisy since most of the tables are occupied by large groups. Also, when we ordered they made a mistake with some dishes but the staff realized the mistake and quickly changed them But in general it is worth eating here.

We attended the public beer seminar at Bayerischer Bahnhof on Saturday. It was an absolute highlight. Delicious drinks and a good lunch. The tour was wonderful, and the instructor was absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended! Enjoying the Brauhaus Schnitzel in the beer garden on a beautiful summer evening with a cold beer is especially great. You'll need to allow some time for ordering, but you can easily while away the time with a beer or two.

Great food, great beer, plenty of tables, you'll easily find a spot, and there's a small wooden playground in the courtyard—a dream for families! The location is unique!

There is a difference in service between a beer garden and a restaurant, hence the lack of a service star. In a beer garden, you have to order food at the bar and get drinks there too. But otherwise, the rush would be difficult to handle. Special requests and the food will be brought to you. You can make reservations in the restaurant; otherwise, the service is impeccable and fast. The pork knuckle is legendary, but should be ordered in advance (just before 6 p.m.). The menu offers generous portions for every taste, but more for those with a big appetite. In 2023, Falstaff published a beer garden ranking. There, the beer garden landed in 5th place in Germany. Since then, I've been among the 4 better placed, and I have to say that the beer garden in the Bayrischer Bahnhof in Leipzig has been number 1 for me for 15 years.

Super delicious food and excellent value for money! The highlight is definitely the many home-brewed beers – highly recommended! The only downside: the service is sometimes a bit slow, especially when paying. Still, absolutely recommended!

I've been here several times. Always worth recommending! Worth a visit both inside and out. Their own beer, delicious food with generous portions, clean restrooms, and friendly staff. Simply excellent.

We were in the beer garden, it was really quaint! We had a snack platter, a large portion, very tasty and varied! We took a tour of the Bavarian train station beforehand, which was very good! Thank you!!

The food itself was good, and the service was extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, it still took a long time to be served (definitely not the fault of the service staff; more likely due to overscheduling by the employees). The ambiance lived up to its promise, but was unfortunately very stuffy and warm.

We were invited to a party. The appetizers (Bavarian) were delicious 😋. The duck for the main course was absolutely dead. I highly recommend the homemade herbs. We'll be back and eat off the menu.

A very special place where the historical atmosphere combines with the presentation and taste of the food, the staff was friendly and attentive, and above all the beers were very well selected, it offered a pleasant experience that everyone who comes to Leipzig should definitely visit.

Highly recommended. It took a while, but it was worth it. The Avocado Chicken Bowl is my recommendation.

We didn't eat, but we tasted the beer. Gose, a beer brewed with salt and coriander. It was actually surprisingly fresh and tasty. There was also a small board for tasting other beer specialties. The price was absolutely reasonable. We went back the next day for a late breakfast. Warm potato bread fresh from the oven (500g) with three spreads: lard, herb curd, and Liptauer... fantastic! And the amount of dip and spread was perfectly suited to the amount of bread. You don't have to scrape it all up; you can spread it generously. The price? At €7.50, it's absolutely fantastic and unbeatable. Rustic brewery atmosphere, cozy and inviting.

The four of us arrived at the beer garden shortly after 11:30 and had no problem getting a table. It was getting crowded, though. Outside, everything is ordered at the counter and paid for immediately, drinks are prepared there to go, and food is brought to your table. I think the concept is great! Because when you're done, you get up and leave. The beer takes a little getting used to, but it's tasty! The food we ordered was excellent and generously sized. Guys, the fresh potato bread is amazing! Add to that the friendly and fast service. All in all: we had a great few hours in the beer garden!

At first we thought, well, just an old train station. Then we entered the beer garden through the entrance hall. Plenty of old plane trees create a wonderful atmosphere. We then enjoyed delicious drinks on simple benches. It's a great place to sit, especially with a dark beer under the canopy. It's self-service, the staff is friendly, and the prices are fair.

Wir waren zu viert kurz nach halb zwölf im Biergarten und hatten gar kein Problem einen Tisch zu ergattern. Es füllte sich aber zusehends. Draußen wird alles am Counter bestellt und sofort bezahlt, Getränke werden dort direkt zur Mitnahme fertig gemacht, Essen wird an den Tisch gebracht. Das Prinzip finde ich klasse! Weil wenn man fertig ist steht man auf und geht. Das Bier ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, schmeckt aber! Die bestellten Speisen waren exzellent und mengenmäßig großzügig dimensioniert. Leute, das frische Kartoffelbrot ist mega! Dazu kommt noch ein freundlicher und flotter Service. Alles zusammen: wir hatten ein paar tolle Stunden im Biergarten!

Wir hatten eine große Geburtstagsparty mit 24 Gästen ab 17 Uhr bis Mitternacht. Es war wunderschön mit super leckerem Essen, Spass und Tanz. Unserer Serviererin ein dickes Dankeschön. Alles rundum perfekt. Unsere Gäste aus nah und fern waren begeistert .

Overall, my visit yesterday was quite good. The beer was delicious, which I highly recommend! The only downside was the food. I had a Hax'n Sülze (a kind of pork knuckle in aspic, according to the menu) (with Spreewald pickles and onions). There were more than enough onions, with only two wafer-thin slices of Spreewald pickles hidden under the tartar sauce. I mean, if you're going to advertise a meal with Spreewald pickles, then there should be at least one whole one (either whole or sliced) on it! Oh well, onions are cheaper than Spreewald pickles!

We were there for a company Christmas party and found pre-decorated tables with plates of appetizers. The decor was rustic, and the service was friendly and prompt. The food was consistently good, except for the panna cotta, which was quite thick and the fruit puree was quite sour. The restrooms were clean.

The schnitzel tasted of boar. And it could have been cooked a bit better for my taste. So, it was just okay-ish.

We had to wait a long time for the food, which didn't arrive all at once but rather with considerable gaps, and instead of vegan burgers, we got meat burgers. Personally, I didn't particularly like the burgers, but the drinks were all the better (I recommend the Helga lemonade). The staff, when they came, were very friendly, but they didn't come very often. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

One of the best locations in Leipzig for good food and beer. Atmosphere is typical brewery and therefore exactly what you expect there. This time we had very friendly and fast service! The Leipziger Gose is a must, as is the outstandingly good knuckle. The price-performance ratio is still good. Highly recommended!

Was there on beer day. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing; Spare ribs with fries and liver cheese with potato and cucumber salad. The fries were great, the rest tasted strange and not fresh. Too bad...

I was at the restaurant on a Thursday evening. Reservations via the website are currently only possible for a maximum of four people. A more flexible option would be desirable, especially for larger groups. The order went quickly, the service staff was friendly but very reserved. We wanted to order something twice during our stay. In both cases we had to make ourselves clearly visible in order to get the attention of a service person. This seemed inattentive and spoiled the overall impression. To eat: I had veal schnitzel with white asparagus, parsley potatoes and hollandaise sauce. Schnitzel: The breading was significantly thicker than the meat. The meat content was low, which gave the impression that quality was being skimped on here. Asparagus: Very well prepared - fresh, tender and tasty. Potatoes: Also successful – well cooked and appropriately seasoned. Hollandaise sauce: The taste was okay, but the portion in the small bowl was too small. It was simply not enough for the amount of asparagus. A second helping was not offered. The atmosphere was pleasant – well-kept and cozy. The house beer tasted very good. Conclusion: A restaurant with a nice atmosphere and well-prepared side dishes. There were weaknesses in the service and the quality of the schnitzel. The portion size of the sauce should also be adjusted. Overall with potential, but currently still with clear points of improvement.

I actually don't like large guesthouses like this and we had to wait some time until a place became available. But the schnitzels and the beer were very good and plentiful, the service was quick and nice.

I was very disappointed today. Under no circumstances did they want to sell us food in the beer garden. Even asking the person in charge didn't help. The reason was an approaching rain that didn't come even after 1.5 hours. I have to think twice about coming here again.

In this restaurant, side dishes are not exchanged but are charged very expensively. In the catering industry an “exchange fee” is charged, which is not the case here. If you leave out a side dish, it will be reduced slightly and the desired side dish will be charged in full. The service staff approved our request to exchange the insert without informing us that everything would be charged extra. For this reason we will no longer visit this restaurant and will not recommend it to others.

Yesterday I returned with dear friends to the Bayerischer Bahnhof in Leipzig - a place that is more than a restaurant: a temple of culinary delights. We took a seat in the rustic car, surrounded by warm wood and genuine cosiness. The dishes - my pork knuckle, the others' schnitzel - were perfect in preparation and presentation, a quiet feast for all the senses. Plus Gose: bitter, lively, filled with the deep art of brewing. O you Bavarian train station, haven of table delights, be praised forever! Anyone who doesn't know you doesn't know what a proper banquet sense is.

I am not sure if I will return. Ambience is great. Food is good. I ordered a chicken pasta, a beer flight, and pretzels with Bavarian butter that was served promptly. However, the servers are very unfriendly. That’s why, the 3 stars. There is a need for the management to train the staff on basic etiquettes.

Original Leipziger Gose - the name of this beer sounds very inconspicuous, but it is absolutely amazing! If I didn't have to drive over an hour to Leipzig, I would have stopped there again today. The service was extremely friendly and warm. We felt very comfortable. I had a huge knuckle for dinner. Crispy on the outside - as it should be, very tender on the inside. The ambience... There was music playing - subtle, but very well chosen. I could have stayed there for a few more hours. In my opinion, we did everything right yesterday by visiting this great restaurant. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this!! :-)

We have been here three times now and always enjoy coming back. The food tastes very good and is very plentiful. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and responds to the guests' wishes. If you want to eat here at peak times or as a group, we definitely recommend making a reservation. Especially suitable for beer lovers thanks to its own brewery and in summer the great beer garden is highly recommended. But even in winter it's a really nice and uncomfortable location in the old Bavarian train station. Simply a successful Bavarian brewery with authentic food and drink.

We were there on a Saturday evening. Without a reservation it will be difficult. There were also some people waiting at the front. The ambience and the decor were great. That's how you imagine it in Bavaria😀 The food was very tasty and there is a very large selection of starters. It's hard to decide. We had a sausage salad that was really delicious. We would come again😀

Absolute recommendation. Delicious food, interesting beers, nice atmosphere and very friendly service. We were very satisfied. Just stay away from the "umbrella" - Gosebier with 4cl Allasch caraway liqueur. This is only for those who like to experiment 😅

Unfriendly service – not a second time! Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. When we arrived we were assigned a seat. Since there were three of us, we picked up a third menu from the next table - a seemingly harmless process. But the waitress immediately reacted unfriendly, reprimanded us harshly and even called us “impudent guests”. Later, when she took our order, I politely asked her if that was her usual way of dealing with guests. Unfortunately, she remained unfriendly and countered stroppy. At this point it was clear to me that a factual discussion was pointless. About the food itself: The salad was excellent, the rest of the food was okay, and the drinks were okay too. However, after this experience, I cannot recommend another visit - friendly service is simply a must for me.

So, you have to look at the reviews like this: It depends on where you sit: The main dining room is very nice and the service is quick (that was requested and confirmed every time, but ->). But if you sit in one of the adjoining rooms, I would plan a warm sweater and a lot of time in winter. It had been 1 1/2 hours until dinner and we were about to leave... The service is slow, no blame, but please hire more staff!!!! This is my 3rd experience in the guest room, from now on only beer garden!
