We went here for dinner with a group. The food was really tasty and the service was very good. We felt very comfortable here. If you're sporty, you can complete the "climb" from Ebernburg on foot. On our second visit we decided to travel by car. Parking spaces are available on site. We would be happy to come back.

We come from the DÜW area, were in the area again today and visited the Bauernstube four times. Very good service, very good high quality food at admirable prices. The competition could take an example. We'll definitely come back.

Today I ordered a rump steak with salad... Salad with all components fresh, good taste. Rump steak was as expected, medium rare from the first to the last bite. To top it all off, the perfectly fried onions. Ambience is perfect, service very attentive. So you really can't approach this, despite all the negative criticism!! I, or We'll be back, and more often!

We arrived at 30° an hour before opening, completely dried out. Even though the restaurant was still closed, we got a bottle of ice-cold sparkling water and Kai a bowl of fresh water, a dream. We were able to order just in time for the opening at 2 p.m., the food came quickly, the portions were very generous and everything was delicious. The prices are absolutely fair, what more could you want after a long day of hiking. Conclusion, we'll be back.

An inn that fits into this region and has been well visited for many years. Good food at good prices. Pleasant coworkers. Great rump steak. What more do you need 👍

The food was okay, but the service and kitchen were overwhelmed when there were a lot of guests. Uncoordinated and waited a long time for our food. You are in the middle of nature, but unfortunately you only sit on a screened terrace.

We had coffee and cake and everything was very tasty

We had schnitzel, once with pepper cream sauce and once with gypsy sauce, with fries and a side salad. The schnitzels were ok, the gypsy sauce tasted like it came from a jar. We looked in vain for the cream in the pepper cream sauce; it tasted like it came from a Maggi gravy packet with a few scattered green peppercorns. The “crowning” was the salad dressing, it definitely tasted like the salad topping from a well-known instant powder manufacturer. The fries were good. For this “service” you don’t have to go to a restaurant and shell out 50 euros including 4 drinks. All in all, we were very disappointed and will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Good and relatively cheap food.

After a visit to the rehabilitation clinic, we were looking for a restaurant. We thought “farmhouse” sounded good. It wasn't good, it was very good. Very, very tasty food, friendly service and reasonable prices. We will definitely take a tour there again.

Today as a Swabian I had stuffed dumplings with bacon/leek sauce and a small salad plate. Filling: minced meat with liver sausage. So delicious. hammer

Looking forward to a warm soup after a long walk in the cold. I've been to the Birkerhof several times, but today was the last time. We had to wait forever for two soups and the mineral water was put on the table very carelessly. The soups came, a lentil soup with sausages, extra sausages on a plate, warm, lentils were more hard than soft. The goulash soup was more of a broth with a few potato and carrot cubes. You also had to chew the meat very well because it was only cooked for a few minutes. After 4 spoonfuls it was already empty. Actually we should have sent the soups back straight away. Our mistake that we ate the soups.

On Sunday, after a long walk in the bitter cold, we stopped at the Birkenhof. We ordered a lentil soup and a goulash soup. We were very disappointed. Here are the reasons: 1) In the lentil soup, the lentils were not really cooked and were quite firm to the bite. In addition, the sausage came just lukewarm on a separate plate. In terms of taste, the soup was just okay, acceptable with a lot of goodwill. 2) The goulash soup doesn't deserve the name in any way. If anything, this was a diet broth that was gentle on the stomach. The very subtle meat probably simmered in this broth for just 15 minutes. Bland taste, lukewarm, perfect for light foods. As a chef, I would have been ashamed of the goulash soup and lentil soup that was delivered and my honor would have been tarnished. The service is friendly, but should pay a little more attention to the guests to see whether they still have a wish. The service accepted the criticism openly. That's it! The bill was paid in full. We are very annoyed that we didn't complain about both soups immediately and didn't have them returned. I'd rather pay €8 for a goulash soup that deserves the name. Greetings F. Schmitt

Visited here for a Christmas gathering with some friends. Not too difficult to find, but it's in the middle of nowhere. At night we couldn't see much of the scenery, but friends say it's beautiful in the day. I had the onion schnitzel with fried potatoes, both were very good and fresh. The service was a bit slow and there weren't many visitors, I don't want to know what the wait times would be if it was busy. We won't make the trek again, but if we're in the area and hungry, we'll definitely come back. I can recommend it, at least for the schnitzels.

Terrible! Waste of money and time. A rump steak, ordered medium, which is burnt and through like a hundred-year-old shoe sole. Fried potatoes that taste like nothing, absolutely nothing. A completely overwhelmed service tops the whole thing. Waited forever for the bad food. You can forget about a decent complaint, also because you just want to run away screaming, but also because the waitresses had sheer panic in their eyes at any sign of an order or something similar. First time there, never again, horrible!

The goose was so delicious that you can only beat it at home! Top!

Der Birkerhof liegt oberhalb von Ebernburg ist über eine schmale Zufahrtstraße erreichbar. Es stehen genügend Parkplätze direkt vorm Restaurant zur Verfügung. Das Essen ist sehr gut.

Schön gelegen, lecker Essen und das Personal ist top.

Wir waren heute Nachmittag in diesem schönen und ruhig gelegenen Lokal. Der Service war sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend. Nach einer Wanderung würde ich jederzeit wieder dort einkehren. Absolut empfehlen 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️

Schmeckt super, gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, tolles einfaches Ambiente.

Wir haben auf der mit einem stabilen Zelt überdachten Terrasse gesessen. Die Seitenteile sind aufschiebbar, sodass man einen schönen Blick Richtung Bad Kreuznach und die Felswände hat. Die Bratkartoffeln mit Speck und Rührei, Gurken und Tomate hat lecker geschmeckt.

Dit is mijn favoriete plaats in de omgeving om een goede schnitzel te halen. Je krijgt altijd twee grote stukken schnitzel met een heerlijke saus die perfect zijn bereid voor een erg schappelijk bedrag.

Service war super, hat vor allem unseren Humor verstanden. War sehr aufmerksam. Auskunftsfreudig, sehr zügig ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Beilagensalat war köstlich, ich bevorzuge saftige, durchwachsene Schnitzel, Rumpsteak am Tisch sah gut aus und schmeckte auch so. Preise sind echt für die Lage okay. Ambiente - auch wenn ich draußen sitze mag ich kein Plastiktisch und auch keine Plastikstühle. Davon abgesehen ist es absolut in freier natur, sehr ruhige Lage, die tolle aussicht könnte man besser nutzen. Wir kommen weiterhin.

Schnitzel gut, Beilagen weniger gut

Der Birkerhof liegt idyllisch und ruhig unweit von Ebernburg. Einige schöne Wanderrouten führen direkt daran vorbei, man kann ihn aber auch mit dem Auto über eine Asphaltstraße erreichen. Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden. Die Küche ist "gutbürgerlich" im besten Sinne, man bekommt schmackhafte Gerichte zu fairen Preisen. Wir haben draußen auf der Terrasse gegessen und wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient.

Sehr gute Speisen, die Rumpsteak's die wir hatten schmeckten vorzüglich. Nettes Personal.

Für mich eine sehr schöne und ansprechende Atmosphäre... Habe mich mit meiner Enkelin quasi in den Birkerhof verirrt, weil ich ihr ein Eis versprochen habe. Wir waren im Steinskulpturen Park. Aus dem Eis wurde ein Abendessen. Wir waren beide begeistert. Das Essen hat uns beiden sehr gut geschmeckt. Gute Qualität. Preis Leistung war gegeben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder...

Jahrelang sind wir gerne eingekehrt. Gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Als wir jetzt mit einer größeren Gruppe, per Mail reserviert und bestätigt, einkehrten zeigte der Chef sein wahres Gesicht. Offensichtlich hatte man unsere Reservierung vergessen. Es blieb uns nichts anderes als uns an unterschiedliche Tische zu verteilen. Als wir reklamierten, relativierte der Chef zunächst lautstark und unfreundlich "wir haben halt kein Platz dafür". Ich gab zu bedenken solche Reservierungen dann doch bitte nicht zu bestätigen, denn gemütlich sei das so nicht. Dies quittiert er damit mich einen "Sticheler" zu bezeichnen. Dieser Besuch war definitiv mein letzter.

Leider war das Essen nicht wie die Bewertungen entsprechend. Schnitzel waren lecker ausgebraten, zigeunersauce jedoch kaum geniessbar, säuerlich und aus dem Glas. Auch die Bratkartoffeln nicht frisch, ebenfalls packungsware. Der stramme Max auch nur Durchschnitt. Einziger Höhepunkt die freundliche junge Bedienung. Fazit: Wer nach Wanderung sich ausruhen und eine Weinschorle trinken will ist hier gut aufgehoben, wer jedoch lecker Essen möchte sollte sich was anderes suchen.
