A lovely little inn with good food, a charming rustic atmosphere, and excellent service. Friendly, witty, and with a relaxed and friendly approach to guests.

Perfect conditions, perfect food... Unfortunately, it was a bit too loud in the bar; the background music might have masked it a little... Prices very fair.

This restaurant caters exclusively to those in the area. The staff is surprisingly unfriendly and takes orders in a rushed manner. The only virtue this restaurant has is that it turns us off and directs us to the restaurant next door.

Unfortunately, I can't give it a minus star. Even one star is a very generous review.

Friday evening… the rosé is gone / and the Pinot Noir after one glass too. The pub was full and noisy, so a normal conversation with six people at the table wasn't exactly relaxing. Everyone enjoyed their food. But I especially want to mention Elli and her colleague… they both did an excellent job and tried to make up for my frustration about the missing wine 😅👏 Of course, the Bauernschänke will get a second chance… Mimon, I'll call ahead and ask if they have rosé 😂

Unfortunately, there's no zero-star option. Either the positive reviews are fake, or these people simply have no taste. Pre-packaged products from A to Z. Cash only – that pretty much says it all. This is how you ruin the restaurant industry…

Traditional German cuisine, very friendly service. Reservations are essential.

Tried it today with the new owner. The restaurant was very busy, which also made it very noisy in the dining room. The food was quite good, with generous portions. Unfortunately, the apple wine and the accompanying water were only room temperature, which was a shame. They were out of rosé wine. My schnitzel was very good, but my friend's was still partially raw. I doubt the green sauce, red cabbage, and dumplings were homemade. They only accept cash; there was no bill. All in all, though, it's recommendable.

Went there on Sunday evening without a reservation. The place was full, but the waitresses asked from other, very kind customers, if I could sit in their table. When there was a table available, I got my own table. Drinks and foods were served quickly an the pumpkin ravioli was delicious. Excellent service. The plates with meat seemed to be huge. Great place.

We had schnitzel and goulash today. The former was good, but the goulash was absolutely terrible. For 24.50, you get a small ladle of mediocre goulash with bland spaetzle on the side. I wanted to substitute dumplings for the spaetzle, but they initially forgot. Then they brought the dumplings later, and they were still cold inside. Simply weak; you really don't need to go to a restaurant for something like that. And then not even a word of apology for the mistakes.

As a Frankfurt native, eating here for the first time with a friend from Eschborn. As a Frankfurt native, I feel at home here. They serve good Äbbelwoi (a kind of wine) for a reasonable price. I had a Frankfurter schnitzel and loved it. A large, nicely thin, well-battered schnitzel. Juicy and flavorful, accompanied by plenty of fried potatoes and a generous portion of delicious green sauce. I also had a beautifully dressed side salad. It was almost too much. My friend had liver and ate it with relish. The seating is quite tight and very busy. I would recommend making a reservation. A highlight is the quick, friendly service. The hearty approach makes you feel right at home as a Frankfurt native. I'll definitely be back.

This was our first time there. It was very good, the food was truly excellent, and the value for money was unbeatable. The food arrived very quickly, and our requests were met with great attention. High chairs are also available, and children's meals are given priority to keep their spirits up. The service was very attentive and coordinated. Simply top-notch. We'd be happy to come back.

Cute little restaurant with great food and even better service. The limited menu features traditional and local cuisine, with plenty to suit even vegetarians. The portions leave nothing to be desired. The super friendly service makes you feel truly welcome. Reservations are recommended for early evenings, and you should also bring cash, as card payments are not accepted (there is a bank right next to the restaurant).

Four of us were there for the first time. We were seated comfortably together in the historic building. The portions were very generous and delicious for the price. We'd love to come back!

All the dishes were highly recommended, especially the schnitzel, not only because of its enormous size, breaded like in a cookbook, and delicious. The service was super fast, open-minded, friendly, simply top-notch. We'll be back; we've reserved a table. Reservations are advisable. The restaurant is very popular. Keep up the good work. I had the Frankfurter schnitzel, very tasty, crispy cooked (but not dripping with grease), perfect. Very friendly service. Even under new management, it's a good place to spend a pleasant evening with friends or family.

I went there for dinner with a friend, and the service was absolutely excellent. Even though it was busy, the staff was super attentive and friendly. As a vegetarian, I was particularly pleased with the vegetarian schnitzel with green sauce! It was very tasty, but the fried potatoes were more like boiled potatoes cut into chunks (a bit mushy, there's still room for improvement ;)). But all in all, it was great; we'll be back!

So, we were there today for the first time, but certainly not the last. The food was very good, they serve a good glass of wine, and the service, Elli, was very friendly and funny. It's a lovely apple restaurant like in Frankfurt (Feuerrädche). And the apricot is on the house – very tasty. We'll be back 👍

We ate there with the family for the first time yesterday and were thrilled. Finally, a restaurant with excellent home-style cooking at reasonable prices. The service was very friendly. The food (roast pork and schnitzel) was plentiful and very tasty. Dessert (Kaiserschmarrn and baked apple rings with ice cream) was excellent. We would love to come back.

We had a very pleasant evening at the inn. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they read every new drink request. Regarding the food, I can only say: It at least meets the standards of Sachsenhausen, which is saying a lot for Frankfurt cuisine. Bauernschänke: Highly recommended!

This restaurant is now permanently closed. Here we enjoyed delicious Bohemian specialties such as Prague roast pork with sauerkraut and Bohemian bread dumplings, and excellent cream-roasted beef svickova. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy, with several rooms in an old half-timbered house. The service is friendly and attentive, and they serve good Czech pilsner. You'll have to come back.

You can eat very good food in this restaurant. Excellent cordon bleu, see pictures. Very, juicy and with a great crust. Service leaves a lot to be desired, hardly any motivation, tables are not cleared for a long time, you wait a long time for the drinks. You notice untrained forces. The side salad was okay in terms of composition. The dressing had hardly any taste.

The schnitzel and potatoes were cooked evenly and seasoned just right. Even though I visited alone, the staff was friendly and the customers around me were also friendly, so I was able to have a pleasant meal.

If you're curious about original German food, it might be a good place to visit. It's a little greasy, but it suits my taste. The sauerkraut is a work of art. The staff is friendly, but they say they don't accept credit cards and ask for cash. They say they don't have cash, so go ahead and get it... But they say they don't have it, so they'll add 10% VAT to the bill. ? That's racism right haha.

The food is extremely good and obviously homemade. the service attentive. The decor is a bit quaint.

We visit Frankfurt often & this is the best German (traditional) meal I've ever had! We will be visiting again next time we are in Frankfurt. I don't think I've ever eaten potato knödels as good as the ones here.

Food was delicious except for the Kösse, I know Semmel Kösse a little differently. Otherwise very satisfied.

After we were seated we waited over 15 minutes and didn't even have a menu. One of us went to ask an employee about it and was handed the menus. The menus were completely out of date: dirty and damaged. Full of spelling and formal errors, it felt more like a cheap tourist restaurant somewhere in southern Europe. There were two parts of the menu, part 1 said that credit cards were not accepted, and the other part said that credit card payments had a 10% surcharge. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion. We asked a waiter for a drink menu, he let us know that there was no such thing. We asked what juices were available - in fact there was only apple juice. My cordon bleu was probably homemade, which I could tell because there was a hair baked into the cheese. Industrial goods usually don't have anything like that... Apart from that, the meat was dry and the cheese was tasteless. There were also fries and individually packaged ketchup, the best before date of which corresponded to the date of the visit. We ate our meal on plastic lawn chairs and Poco seat cushions. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with reasonable gastronomy, which I expect given the prices that the Bauernschänke charges. When we paid, we were then asked in disbelief whether the four of us had really only had four drinks, that was unusual. It should be noted that no one came to the table who could have taken a repeat order.

The food was solid, there were chanterelles in season, which increased the price of the main course a bit. The service was nice and we were able to pay separately without any problem. Unfortunately, you can hear the street in the courtyard quite loudly. The toilets are also in the courtyard and the doors squeak so you can always tell when they are being used.

Food could be better, ambience is a bit outdated. I can do more with it, the service had everything in mind, I was impressed by my opinion

A small, quaint restaurant with classic rooms and a very nice courtyard. The cuisine is home-style German/Bohemian home cooking. Definitely worth a detour.

Rustic traditional guest towns! Very cozy and fresh daily meals. I will probably never forget the sensational liver and blood sausage!! It's a shame that vegetarian dishes are hard to find.

Wonderfully traditionally decorated and delicious food. So no website and you can pay in cash. But the food and atmosphere are definitely worth a visit.

We discovered this quaint restaurant in the Oberdorf. It's been a long time since I've eaten such delicious Szeged goulash with original Bohemian dumplings. Plus the wild garden and the friendly staff; we will be back.

It always feels like we're chronically understaffed, once we waited 30 minutes for a waitress to come to us... a female waitress who was probably new = she just walked past us as if she didn't see us! Ok in the end we found out she was the only waitress and had only been there for the second day. That must not be! Last time, after a long wait, we just went home speechless :/ So the food is really great, but the service is unfortunately subpar LG I hope it will happen again

Nice courtyard. Food was very good, but unfortunately one meal was taken incorrectly, which then led to delays. The floor in the yard is very rustic, so the chairs can wobble.

Totally recommended for anyone who wants authentic cuisine. The atmosphere is rustic and you feel like you have traveled to Prague in a time capsule. The Frankfurter Schnitzel was good. Unfortunately the fries were too hard. The service was great.

Was really disappointed for the first time. I used to eat there often. Now again after a long break. Price performance no longer fits. It feels like it's twice as expensive and the portion has been halved at the same time. Very unfortunate. But unfortunately that was the last time for me for now.

We had dinner there today and had the beef goulash with the Bohemian dumplings and a liver dumpling soup as a starter. I have to say that everything tasted good, except that raw onions don't go well with the goulash at all, the portions aren't particularly large, the 5 goulash chunks were soft but had a lot of fat on them and the 3 slices of dumplings were very dry despite having enough sauce. Conclusion...I don't really need to go there again 👎🏻

Super nice service. The dumplings could have been a little juicier and fluffier and the goulash a little heartier. Krusovice beer: great. The guest room needs a fresh coat of paint. You can't go wrong eating there, but there is room for improvement.

Unfortunately, extremely poorly ventilated - cooking fumes everywhere! Unfortunately, international gastro hygiene standards are not really followed. The waitress behind the counter blatantly removed leftover food from between her teeth with her bare fingers, the chef's trousers were halfway down his back... All in all, not appetizing - you could euphemistically describe it as a "family-homely atmosphere".

Great atmosphere, clean and owner very friendly. This is mostly comfort food but served with a light salad to start with which I really appreciated. The main was heavy but delicious. Unfortunately I couldn't finish everything but would happily go back here.

I went twice and I confirm, the food and beer it's very delicious!

The restaurant is beautifully rustic. Unfortunately, the food is very lightly seasoned (goulash shouldn't taste like nothing) and the service is a bit unfriendly. If the guest leaves cutlery on their plate, please clear the plate and bring new cutlery. Asking the customer to take their dirty starter dishes back from the cleared plate is simply unkind.

The Bauernschänke was recommended by a colleague. No credit cards are accepted here, only EC cards and of course cash. There is good home-style food here, which I really enjoyed and, as you could hear, so did my neighbor at the table. The black beer was also very good and was poured generously. Overall, the restaurant wasn't very full, but the ambience could have put a little more effort into it. Nevertheless, it is an absolute recommendation because you can eat very well here relatively cheaply.

Nicht schön eingerichtet , aber irgendwie cool . Das Essen ist extrem lecker . Die böhmischen Knödel haben mich schon gesättigt, da habe ich die unglaublich lecker ausschauenden Pfannkuchen nicht mehr geschafft. Ich komme wieder !

Wir waren im oberen Saal zwecks Versammlung. Ich habe nichts gegessen, deswegen möchte ich es auch nicht bewerten. Aber bei Besuchen im Sommer war es lecker. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und schnell. Ich mag sie gerne. Preise sind guter Durchschnitt. Der Saal könnte eine Renovierung vertragen.

Das Manko war das Essen. Das Fleisch war sehr durchwachsen. Ansonsten schönes Lokal mit nettem Ambiente
