Very good dishes, the staff very friendly and welcoming, but the environment was surrounded by mice of various sizes

Their shawerma with the sauce and spiciness, and salad and everything and taste, everything says heaven in your mouth. I dream of eating their sandwich every now and then.

Personally I love the peanut sauce they use, it is an extraordinary touch in the preparation and presentation of their menu. I love it , I have tried other places that try to copy but do not match them. the best 👉🏻 Basmah

Very tasty traditional African food. I had never tried it before and I loved it. I ordered a dish called Basmah Special Kix Teller and it was well served. I recommend it.

The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the service is relatively quick. Whenever I'm nearby, I like to try something else from the memory card.

The portions are generous, the prices are fair. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the Kreuzberg filling impresses every time.

In 2018 I visited Basmah for the first time. A lot has changed since then, but one thing has remained the same: the excellent food at Basmah!!! Every year I come back to Berlin and eat there at least once! I recommend this store to everyone in my circle; so far everyone has gone and been just as excited as I was. The different sauces are a poem in combination with the bread. Price/performance is unbeatable here. Even if the shop is tiny and you're always a bit worried about not being able to get a seat, especially in bad weather - that's part of it and doesn't detract from the food one bit! I will always be happy to come back in the next few years 🥜

9/10p Legendary peanut sauce! Top quality, fair prices despite the price increase, huge portions. If you want delicious food and a satisfying meal, you've come to the right place.

Sorry have to reduce 2 stars for the recent price increase of more than 25%!! I came there for the good value but now a sandwich (which is smaller than a doner kebab) costs 7€. A plate instead of 7€ (2024) is 10€ now (2025). I will not come again.

I went to this place with some office colleagues for a lunch on Thursday. I was first time trying Sudanese food. It was amazing. The man at counter was fun to talk to and prepared nice stuff

Even though I grow up in Cairo, somehow it was my first time to eat Sudanese falafel, I love that they use peanut butter. Will definitely come back to try more food

The chicken platter was absolutely delicious and very filling. Price-performance ratio was therefore top. The employee who prepared the food was also very friendly. So I can highly recommend it 🙂

Despite the often very heavy crowds, very friendly staff created huge plates of delicacies from Sudanese cuisine and garnished them with great sauces. If you can, you can even get a fried dough ball for dessert.

Absolutely amazing food. The sandwiches and tellers are incredible, made possible by the peanut and eggplant sauce. It is good for a warm or cold day, noon or night, lunch or dinner, times when you just need a bite or a full plate, times when you want to spend a bit or little bit more. Just amazing!

One of my favorites to go quick places for lunch or dinner in Berlin. The place is very hip and the food always delicious and consistent. My personal favorite is chicken falafel teller. Highly recommend

Budget friendly. Wide option of variations both meat and vegetarian. Tasty peanut and mango sauces. Fried carrots are my favorite. Crunchy and fluffy felafel.

The food was very good and very cheap (6/7€ for a really big plate) with a mega peanut sauce and eggplant paste and the staff were extremely nice too :) I would definitely recommend it 🫶🏻

One of my favorite places to eat in Berlin! Lot of vegetarian options and the food was sooo good and cheap. We both took a platter but this was way too much, so I would suggest taking one platter for 2 people 👍

Very inexpensive when it comes to the vegan menu. A bit fatty but tastes good and is also reasonably healthy.

I came last night for dinner with a friend and what can I say? The food was plentiful and really good, both plant-based (basmah vegan Teller) and omnivorous. I highly recommend stopping by this place. The service is a bit slow and confusing, but it was worth the wait ;) The only negative note was the cold bread. Sehr lecker veganes Essen

Huge portions, good quality and extremely reasonable prices. This is what all Sudanese in the city are known for. Basmah tops the whole thing with his huge mix plates, which I would recommend as a plate for two people. Good selection of drinks, nice chefs. Fried sweet balls on the house. You feel comfortable here!

A little paradise for the taste buds. You'll come out with Shrek's stomach but at least full. The fries are fresh, the peanut sauce is creamy, the mango Ayran is as good as anything. I advise you.

The toilet is really borderline and you have to come to terms with the animals in front of the shop.

I've been to this Sudanese snack bar twice now and I really enjoyed it both times. The central location certainly has its advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it's easy to reach from the subway, but on the other hand, it's right on Kotti and the atmosphere is correspondingly rancid when you eat there. But at least you can sit outside quite well. I was there both on the weekend and during the week and both times the crowd was quite large, which on the one hand meant that you had to wait a few minutes before you could order and on the other hand the tables couldn't always be wiped clean. But if you don't mind the ambience, or maybe you even like it, you can get really delicious food here with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the vegetarian Basmah plate and it was really incredibly large - especially for the relatively cheap price. There was also an incredibly delicious peanut sauce, yogurt and a hot sauce that was actually hot. The service was also super friendly. Definitely recommended if you want to eat Sudanese food in Berlin or are simply looking for an alternative to kebab.

Top price for lots of delicious food. I can highly recommend the Basmah especially very large portions, best eaten with two people. Really delicious, it's worth going there.

Favorite Sudanese food in Berlin! It feels a bit chaotic, but in my opinion that is part of the authentic experience. Prices are great compared to other similar places. If you order their largest dish, you can easily eat with 2 people for just 5 Euro per person!🥜

Some of the nicest and most naturally kind people I've met working in Berlin! The food is absolutely incredible and I love the peanut sauce in combination with the spicy chilli sauce. The range on the menu is wonderful and it's perfect when you're near Kotti and feeling hungry! I really want nothing about this place to change. The staff are so warm, the food is excellent, and the location is prime! Sudanese food is truly delicious and if you're looking for some, come here and you'll never look back!

Hit this spot up - the food is fresh and tasty and the guys are working hard. It is a decent sandwich at a good price that will surprise the first time. Idk how sudanese this joint really is but there is some tasty food on offer. Peanut sauce is a lot but does go crazy. Grab the kofte sandwich, sack off the mix sandwiches, too much going on

Incredible. This place has opened my eyes to the joys of Sudanese food - which I had never tried before. Delicious kofte meat combined with deep fried halloumi and a creamy peanut sauce blends perfectly in a fresh bread. A must visit.

What a GEM!! Sudanese food was new for us. And it's incredibly tasty. This is a small place, with a big menu and lots of veggie options. They have take away and some tables to eat, and it's usually full. Of course it is, because it's an awesome place. Sooo cheap (3€ to 8€). The teller plates are HUGE. Satay sauce is fantastic, the veggies... Everything! A wonderful place, proper Sudanese food.

Probably the best Sudanese Falafel in Berlin/ Kreuzberg. A bit higher prices but still affordable. The sandwiches are also rather big for the price. Usually quite busy due to the U-Bahn /Metro Station nearby.

This has been my fav falafel spot in Berlin. They have delicious falafel sandwich with extremely good peanut sauce 🥙 Try the mango ayran too! It’s like a lighter version of mango lassi. Highly recommended!

Okay for the price, but nothing special. Because of the good reviews, I spontaneously went by and had a falafel sandwich. I have to say without peanut sauce, but with yogurt and mango. Personally, I can't fully understand the very good reviews. Unfortunately, the falafel was far too fried and you hardly tasted anything except the crust and the ratio of salad to falafel in the sandwich wasn't quite right either. Too much sauce and unfortunately the bread is not warmed up or placed in a grill. In my opinion, there are much better stores in the same price category.

The selection of drinks should actually make everyone happy and the people who work there are always super attentive and in a good mood.

Extremely big portions for your money and they are tasty too! Make sure to get the mango sauce. A great amount of vegan choices will leave everyone happy :)

It was my first time eating Sudanese food and I have to say, it's really something. Of course the food (vegetables, falafel, halloumi) is fried, but the sauces and especially the falafel were delicious. I also thought the peanut sauce was delicious. However, everything should have been warm. There are decent portions and the value for money is definitely right! There are some seating options outside and inside. I think you can only pay in cash. All in all more of a snack bar, but worth it.
