I have to say this restaurant deserves a record

Particularly noteworthy is the selection of delicious cocktails, which are also excellently mixed during happy hour. The food impresses with its speed and, above all, its taste. Every dish is prepared with love and always comes to the table hot and fresh. The flexibility of the kitchen, which easily accommodates special requests, is particularly commendable. Another plus point is the extremely friendly and attentive staff. Overall, the restaurant offers a wonderful mix of delicious food, first-class cocktails and warm service. Definitely worth a visit!

Service understaffed, resulting in an extremely long wait. Everything inside is worn out... not because that's how it's supposed to look, but because it's worn out.

November 2023! Prices have risen noticeably, cocktails are not getting any bigger, they feel smaller and more ice-heavy. Unfortunately it feels like it no longer keeps up with the prices. As I said, everything is in the eye of the beholder, everyone has to decide for themselves, I only speak for us here. Are we coming back? Very likely, but to keep the bill manageable it will be one less cocktail. Updated July 2024! New visit to Barrios yesterday for Sunday. Sat in the inner courtyard which was 2/3 full. First cocktail 🍸 completely without ice, meaning pleasantly lukewarm. Second cocktail came after asking twice. The service person's answer was, "Problems with the mixer." I don't know what makes a cocktail bar, but you should be prepared for something like that. As I said, keep visits here to a minimum.

A very popular place in Mannheim for many years. The food and service are good. The best thing, however, is the ambience. You can definitely go here!

Great place, good cocktails and food. BUT! We noticed that during the European championship the soccer decoration was missing one particular flag - the flag of Serbia :) This happened in four different places, so it was obviously not a mistake. It was torn off, as the hanging threads where the flag was supposed to go reveal. This might not sound like a big deal to some, but to those of us who come from the Balkans this action looks very familiar and is in no way in the spirit of sportsmanship and celebration. It's clearly a sign of lack of tolerance, hatred and provocation. This is not acceptable in Germany in 2024.

Food is good, cocktails are good because of the leafy courtyard you don't notice the city as much.

As always, thrilled. We have been here many times with the company. The food is delicious and it comes incredibly quickly. In addition, all the waiters have an incredible amount of fun at work. You can sit very nicely both inside and outside.

We were in town and looking for a spot to have a Margarita on Cinco de mayo 🇲🇽 not much know in Germany 🇩🇪 and found Barrios. Cute little spot wasn't that busy That Sunday so we sat just at the Bar and enjoyed our Delicious Drinks

The best comes first in this review - the food. A very varied, clear, modern and beautifully designed menu. Here everyone will find something that suits their needs. The food is very nice, appealing, visually freshly prepared and tastes good. The ambience doesn't meet my expectations, but it's up to each individual. The tables for four people are a little too small to comfortably enjoy the meal. The service does its job. All in all, I would say you can do it - I recommend this place, even if there are a few minor flaws.

Super delicious Latin American food. Very fast, super friendly service. Price-performance is simply top. We had nothing to complain about. Can't wait to come back!

We were on the terrace yesterday and enjoyed the good weather. Ms. Nadia was attentive and helped us very well with the selection and was very professional and personable at the same time. Cocktails were very tasty as was the food. Will be happy to come back.

Cool location, nice service, food okay but nothing special. But a great option for going out in the evening to drink cocktails.

The service was really good. The waitress was marvelous. The food though was just about edible! And is anything but Mexican. I have been places, but never had chicken Fajitas with potatoes and courgets🤮 The chicken and vegetables were cut in chunks, only 1 pirce would be enough to fill a tortilla🙈. It is a shame the food is not good. The atmosphere is great though if you are after a cocktail.

Be sure to make a reservation on the weekend, the shop is a good place to sit together and drink cocktails, add tapas and everything is fine again ;) In summer there is also seating outside. Since the Barrios has been around for what feels like ages, it could be renovated a bit. You still feel good :) LG

Today with a large group on site... initially not much going on. Apparently they had a new instruction manual, which was a lot of effort. However, starters and main courses were forgotten...

Unvelivable disgusting fajitas. Does not deserve even to name it fajitas. Bunch of potatoes with scattered chicken. Go for burguer.

There is a smoking restaurant and a non-smoking restaurant. You have to be careful which side you enter on, but I think it's good. The burrito was okay. The conditions are friendly and the cocktails are delicious. Music was also pleasant.

I had a drink spilled on my lap and jacket by the waitresses (two different people) not once, but twice in a row yesterday. I responded kindly, helped wipe the table and joked about the situation. I was thanked for this by the fact that on the third (and ultimately successful) attempt to deliver the cocktail, another, previously uninvolved waitress told me without asking that everything had to be dry again (it was after three glasses had spilled on my skirt a few minutes before didn't and didn't do that again the whole evening) and then gave me the great hint that this certainly wouldn't have happened if I hadn't moved. I didn't, or rather I leaned to the other side the second time (luckily, otherwise I would have had everything in my hair). I would now like to advise you to at least train your service staff to learn how to balance a tray or place it on the table. When paying, I mentioned that in such a case you could perhaps pay for a drink on the house as an apology. I was replied that this kind of thing is not done in your house. When I said that I didn't mean it as a personal attack on the waitress, but that I could perhaps tell the boss that a free drink would have been a nice gesture, all I got was "I'm definitely not going to tell the boss!" back. So I paid the full bill and to make matters worse, I later discovered that I was charged full price for a drink I ordered during happy hour. My jacket, which I can't even put in the washing machine, still stinks of rum.

An acquaintance was showered with drinks by the waitress twice in a row. When she dared to mention it, she had to listen to bold comments.

Really delicious food, would love to come back.

We discovered this restaurant by chance three years ago and were immediately hooked. Absolutely fantastic service with excellent advice and refreshing humor made a birthday dinner an experience. We have now been here several times with family and friends and have noticed that the quality of the food and service has remained at the same high level each time.

We sat in the smoking area, which was very pleasant, cozy and had super friendly conditions.

The drinks were very tasty and the waiters were very friendly. The ambience was really nice.

Saturday evening, full or overcrowded. Very loud, conversation a bit tiring, you can barely understand the person you're talking to. Initially the waiter was quick, but then slacked off a bit. Long wait until the drinks could be ordered. The quality of the food varied. According to my companion, vegetarian burritos were not recommended. Vegetables consisted of green runner beans? potatoes and two pieces of carrot. Fachita was good. Fresh peppers, tomatoes, beef in my order was tasty, the dips were ok. According to my companion, the beef with potatoes and salad was very well received. All in all a nice restaurant with a great ambience. Unfortunately it's too loud for me to have a conversation because it's too tiring in the long run.

We made a reservation and the food was delicious, the portion size was decent, the cocktails were tasty and the service, as far as possible in a well-filled restaurant, was friendly and competent, but unfortunately the bottle of water we ordered didn't make it to our table along with the bill. We recommended the restaurant to others on the same day and these guests were also very satisfied 👍keep it up!!!!

Eating wasn't a revelation now. What you expect when you go to a Mexican restaurant. Service with high potential for improvement. Steak cooked through instead of medium as stated when ordering, food came before the cutlery, drinks were forgotten... Dear people, something like that is just annoying. And then the place is terribly loud. Conversing across the table is almost impossible. Second chance? Rather no.

Was there for dinner yesterday. The tapas don't have much in common with Spanish tapas. Patatas “bratas” were soggy and no seasoning or like the original with hot sauce and allioli. The olives weren't Spanish at all either. The selection on the tapa plate was very clear. Not recommended if you're hoping for Spanish tapas. The cocktails are recommended.

Our absolute favorite restaurant! Tanja served us very, very well and gave us great recommendations: 5+ stars. Food and cocktails are the best in Mannheim and the surrounding area.

Top Qualität beim Essen, den Cocktails und gerade auch bei den Bedienungen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Tolle Auswahl beim Essen (Steaks, Mexikanisch, Vegan und Vegetarisch...). Sehr gute Alkoholqualität. Die Bedienung berät freundlich und kompetent, nimmt sich Zeit, obwohl das Lokal voll besetzt ist.

Very nice to sit in the summer as there is a landscaped courtyard. However, in winter the interiors are poorly heated and therefore rather cold. Food and selection of cocktails good.

Wir waren an einem frühen Samstag Abend da. Für uns hat alles gepasst- der Burger war gut, die Tapasplatte auch. Etwas wenig Fleisch in den Fajitas und eher asiatisch vom Geschmack, aber trotzdem lecker. Service OK, Ambiente entspannt, obwohl es später sehr voll wurde. Ich komme bestimmt wieder!

Super Restaurant! Die überbackenen Nachos mit Käse und Dip zu Vorspeise, als auch das gebratene Gemüse mit Fajita wär mega. Das Ambiente mit Kerzenlicht war super. Die Bedienung war auch sehr aufmerksam. Komme gerne wieder

Hatte das lateinamerikanische Curry, das geschmacklich eher an ein süßsaures Chinagericht erinnerte. Nicht schlecht, aber anders als erwartet. Die anderen hatten Burger und waren zufrieden. Der Service war sehr freundlich und fix. Das Ambiente ist schön, aber sehr laut. Man versteht nur den direkten Sitznachbarn, schwierig bei mehreren Personen, sich zu unterhalten. Im Sommer auch Außenbereich.

Eigentlich ganz angenehm nur das durch die vielen Gäste am Wochenende das eine oder andere Getränke vergessen wurde und etwas später kam.(mehrmaligen Nachfragen)

Really good cocktails but very unorganised and not educated staff. First of all a guest shouldn't look for you to make a first order, 2nd you shouldn't ignore your guest! We ordered a 2nd drink and after some time(ca.20-30min) we noticed that we're not going to get them, then we remember the stuff that we are waiting quite some time. After another 30min of waiting and looking how the staff is having a good time joking and talking(the table was really close to the bar) it took some time to catch someone to ask about our order, she wasn't our waitress but we're told she'll take care of it. Then after few minutes of arguing with the colleague our waitress come to us and told us something like it's a lot of work today the bartenders didn't saw the order but they are making it now. And indeed they did.We get it after total ca. 1hour and instead apologise we were asked(another waitress)to go because our reservation is expired 30min ago and the people standing there have the reservation(which was a lie because they asked if there is a free table for 5) I've told her that we waited 1hour to get our drinks but she ignored it completely saying that they need a table, I said okay we're just waiting for our friend to come from the toilet, she asked 10min? Then she couldn't find our waitress to bill us😆 There was no apology for waiting, there was nobody interested in serving us or anyone else or at least to ask us if the food was good, do you want another drink....

Ich fand es hier echt toll. Man kann sich hier gut unterhalten und die Mitarbeiter/in dort, sind auch ziemlich nett. Nachteil fand ich nur das es dort echt Dunkel ist. Ansonsten war aber alles echt gut, das Essen war top und selbst mein Sex on the Beach. Ich komm sicher wieder vorbei

Ich war mittlerweile zwei Mal im Barrios im Sommer und kann es total empfehlen. Draußen ist es sehr gemütlich und man fühlt sich total wohl. Die Getränke und das Essen sind sehr lecker, die Bedienungen super freundlich. Es kann nur vorkommen, dass man etwas warten muss, wenn viel los ist. Die churros sind mega lecker, kann ich echt empfehlen!

Das Essen war gut, wenn auch überschaubar. Service war nett, kam aber eindeutig zu selten und nach dem Essen stand das Geschirr noch ewig auf dem Tisch. Zudem war es unglaublich laut und stickig.

Good food, quesadillas cremosas were great! Also good price x quality ratio. Only thing that bothered us was that it was too dark. To see the food properly and read the menu we needed to use flashlights 😬

Das Barrios ist ein tolles Lokal. Das Essen ist gut, die Cocktails sind besser. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Wenn es voll ist kann es realtiv laut sein, aber das passt irgendwie zum Ambiente.

1a Service, Essen für 14 Personen kam gleichzeitig mit geringer Wartezeit an, obwohl der Laden komplett voll war. Bezahlung war sehr professionell, einfach und schnell. Das Essen war hervorragend, auch vegane Gerichte sind auf der Karte zu finden. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Essen und Service sehr gut. Getränke leider nicht gut. Preise in Ordnung, Ambiente auch gut, aber an Getränke (wie z.B. Long Drinks) muss das Team sehr sehr viel nachholen.

Ich komme immer gerne ins Barrios. Ich liebe die Burritos. Vor Allem den mit Käse und Spinat. Die Cocktails sind auch immer lecker. Das Ambiente ist schön und der Service meistens schnell und gut.

Das übliche mexikanische Programm

Leckere Cocktailbar mit Biergarten über Sommer, die leckere mexikanische Speisen und Tapas anbieten. Wir sind Stammgäste da Preis/Leistung einfach passt.

Ambiente agradable, mucha juventud, tiene terraza interior pero tambien salon interior. Fui a cenar cogi fajita de gallina, plato muy grande acompañado de ensalada. Tienen cantidad de cocktailes. Por poner una pega, tienen que revisar las mesas que la mia se movia, giraba y giraba. En la fajita la gallina, eran trozos grandes y desmenuzado estaria mejor.
