Barrios in Mannheim

The food was very good, the price was surprisingly affordable compared to some other restaurants that are more expensive and it doesn't taste as good. You can't understand the waitresses very well because of the volume and accent, but they are very understanding and super helpful and nice. Definitely worth recommending.

We had a very nice evening at Barrios, the service was very good, quick and funny. The Mojito was good but a little low on liquid and a lot of ice. The tapas platter was great!

The burger is very tasty and the atmosphere is very nice. However, sometimes the music is very loud so you can't really have a conversation, so it has more of a bar vibe. There is also a great selection of drinks that are also very tasty. The service is very friendly, but sometimes you have to wait a long time for something to happen.

Unfortunately the food was nothing special. Very Germanized Latin American cuisine. The staff was nice and quick service. The restaurant was very quaint or rustic and had its charm! Would come back for cocktails.

I visited Barrios quite often, the food is always well seasoned and freshly prepared, tastes good! Drinks are of the highest standard, taste good, and there is a good selection. Personally for me the music could be a little quieter. Really good recommendation from me!

As always good. Every night they have a different special. Double time or something similar. Unlike other bars, both here contain alcohol. Food good. Staff friendly and competent. The only drawback. Too crowded.

I visited this place to have dinner alone. I got the surf n turf meal from the menu, the food was good, the steak was a bit bland and the cococnut pepper sauce was good, but it didnt get absorbed by the steak at all, so it lacked flavor. the shrimp skewer portion was quite small for a surf n turf portion. The side salad was delicious.

Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich das war’s dann aber auch. Das Essen war entweder zu salzig oder hat kaum nach irgendwas geschmeckt. Die Guacamole war furchtbar. Mein Cocktail hat nur nach Vodka geschmeckt, was auch sehr enttäuschend war da ich mich am meisten darauf gefreut hatte. Die Ambiente, das Personal und der Service waren gut aber alles was bestellt wurde war leider schlecht.

The food here clearly comes from a bag, so it wasn't good and has nothing to do with enjoyment. And it's clearly too expensive for bagged food. The Barrios scores points for its atmosphere. It's cozy here. Unfortunately, as the noise level rose due to the increasing number of guests, the music also became louder and louder - which created a vicious circle. Unfortunately, the request to turn down the music was not complied with.

I was there for dinner with my friends yesterday. I was looking forward to a great evening and a delicious meal for my birthday. The food and drinks were very tasty. Unfortunately, our service was unfriendly, unmotivated and inattentive. As soon as we were sitting and no one came, we called her and that's when the first eyes rolled. She didn't seem like she wanted to do her job. When she asked if she could pack something for us, I only have two hands and you'll have to wait. Then a drink wasn't brought and we asked her colleague. This colleague was very friendly and wondered where the drink had gone. The unfriendly waitress came to the table and almost shouted at us if we wanted anything else. In my opinion, someone like that is bad for business and she shouldn't work in the restaurant industry.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. Tapas platter and main course was a bit much. Recommend either or. Tapas were good to share by 3. With the fajitas we ordered, the pan was heaped with potatoes, chicken, peppers, etc. It was well filled. We were there in a group early in the evening. Everything is going very quickly. The service is very good, the food was good, the ambience is harmonious, a little more light would be appropriate in some corners. Otherwise we were very satisfied. The only thing is that it always gets packed, which is of course a positive thing, but the volume is sometimes a problem.

We made reservations online to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately we couldn't sit on the terrace in the beautiful backyard because the weather was too cool. So we took a seat inside. The ambience is nice, but also very dark and barely lit. Everything was a bit old, especially the menu that was given to us was already broken. The service sometimes left a lot to be desired. The food was very good. We had sheep cheese pans, various burritos and tapas. The sheep's cheese pan came to the table very hot and tasted excellent. The burritos with chili con carne and chicken were also very tasty and were served with salsa and guacamole. Unfortunately, the guacamole was meaningless and not particularly tasty. The side salad with the dressing that we ordered was the biggest disappointment. The salad was fresh, but not well dressed and the dressing was tasteless. The tapas and pollo skewers were a hit with the chili sauce. The drinks disappointed expectations, possibly because it was happy hour. All in all a bit mixed.

I was with you today with friends. I've never experienced anything like this before. A Gin Basil Smash for 10.90 which was just a puddle with a huge ice cube. When I complained to the bar manager, all he said was "if I had a problem with the amount of liquids it would probably not be the right drink for me" sorry, what a stupid statement that is The puddle in the glass, what kind of use did that have? 50 cents? Sorry and if a guest tries to politely make a complaint, you try to offer the guest something and don't say such a stupid thing to them. At least the waitress was friendly and understood my anger. You definitely won't see us again.

November 2023! Prices have risen noticeably, cocktails are not getting any bigger, they feel smaller and more ice-heavy. Unfortunately it feels like it no longer keeps up with the prices. As I said, everything is in the eye of the beholder, everyone has to decide for themselves, I only speak for us here. Are we coming back? Very likely, but to keep the bill manageable it will be one less cocktail. Updated July 2024! New visit to Barrios yesterday for Sunday. Sat in the inner courtyard which was 2/3 full. First cocktail 🍸 completely without ice, meaning pleasantly lukewarm. Second cocktail came after asking twice. The service person's answer was, "Problems with the mixer." I don't know what makes a cocktail bar, but you should be prepared for something like that. As I said, keep visits here to a minimum.

Great place, good cocktails and food. BUT! We noticed that during the European championship the soccer decoration was missing one particular flag - the flag of Serbia :) This happened in four different places, so it was obviously not a mistake. It was torn off, as the hanging threads where the flag was supposed to go reveal. This might not sound like a big deal to some, but to those of us who come from the Balkans this action looks very familiar and is in no way in the spirit of sportsmanship and celebration. It's clearly a sign of lack of tolerance, hatred and provocation. This is not acceptable in Germany in 2024.

As always, thrilled. We have been here many times with the company. The food is delicious and it comes incredibly quickly. In addition, all the waiters have an incredible amount of fun at work. You can sit very nicely both inside and outside.

We were in town and looking for a spot to have a Margarita on Cinco de mayo 🇲🇽 not much know in Germany 🇩🇪 and found Barrios. Cute little spot wasn't that busy That Sunday so we sat just at the Bar and enjoyed our Delicious Drinks

The best comes first in this review - the food. A very varied, clear, modern and beautifully designed menu. Here everyone will find something that suits their needs. The food is very nice, appealing, visually freshly prepared and tastes good. The ambience doesn't meet my expectations, but it's up to each individual. The tables for four people are a little too small to comfortably enjoy the meal. The service does its job. All in all, I would say you can do it - I recommend this place, even if there are a few minor flaws.

We were on the terrace yesterday and enjoyed the good weather. Ms. Nadia was attentive and helped us very well with the selection and was very professional and personable at the same time. Cocktails were very tasty as was the food. Will be happy to come back.

The service was really good. The waitress was marvelous. The food though was just about edible! And is anything but Mexican. I have been places, but never had chicken Fajitas with potatoes and courgets🤮 The chicken and vegetables were cut in chunks, only 1 pirce would be enough to fill a tortilla🙈. It is a shame the food is not good. The atmosphere is great though if you are after a cocktail.

Be sure to make a reservation on the weekend, the shop is a good place to sit together and drink cocktails, add tapas and everything is fine again ;) In summer there is also seating outside. Since the Barrios has been around for what feels like ages, it could be renovated a bit. You still feel good :) LG

Today with a large group on site... initially not much going on. Apparently they had a new instruction manual, which was a lot of effort. However, starters and main courses were forgotten...

Unvelivable disgusting fajitas. Does not deserve even to name it fajitas. Bunch of potatoes with scattered chicken. Go for burguer.

I had a drink spilled on my lap and jacket by the waitresses (two different people) not once, but twice in a row yesterday. I responded kindly, helped wipe the table and joked about the situation. I was thanked for this by the fact that on the third (and ultimately successful) attempt to deliver the cocktail, another, previously uninvolved waitress told me without asking that everything had to be dry again (it was after three glasses had spilled on my skirt a few minutes before didn't and didn't do that again the whole evening) and then gave me the great hint that this certainly wouldn't have happened if I hadn't moved. I didn't, or rather I leaned to the other side the second time (luckily, otherwise I would have had everything in my hair). I would now like to advise you to at least train your service staff to learn how to balance a tray or place it on the table. When paying, I mentioned that in such a case you could perhaps pay for a drink on the house as an apology. I was replied that this kind of thing is not done in your house. When I said that I didn't mean it as a personal attack on the waitress, but that I could perhaps tell the boss that a free drink would have been a nice gesture, all I got was "I'm definitely not going to tell the boss!" back. So I paid the full bill and to make matters worse, I later discovered that I was charged full price for a drink I ordered during happy hour. My jacket, which I can't even put in the washing machine, still stinks of rum.

There is a smoking restaurant and a non-smoking restaurant. You have to be careful which side you enter on, but I think it's good. The burrito was okay. The conditions are friendly and the cocktails are delicious. Music was also pleasant.

An acquaintance was showered with drinks by the waitress twice in a row. When she dared to mention it, she had to listen to bold comments.

We discovered this restaurant by chance three years ago and were immediately hooked. Absolutely fantastic service with excellent advice and refreshing humor made a birthday dinner an experience. We have now been here several times with family and friends and have noticed that the quality of the food and service has remained at the same high level each time.

Saturday evening, full or overcrowded. Very loud, conversation a bit tiring, you can barely understand the person you're talking to. Initially the waiter was quick, but then slacked off a bit. Long wait until the drinks could be ordered. The quality of the food varied. According to my companion, vegetarian burritos were not recommended. Vegetables consisted of green runner beans? potatoes and two pieces of carrot. Fachita was good. Fresh peppers, tomatoes, beef in my order was tasty, the dips were ok. According to my companion, the beef with potatoes and salad was very well received. All in all a nice restaurant with a great ambience. Unfortunately it's too loud for me to have a conversation because it's too tiring in the long run.

Eating wasn't a revelation now. What you expect when you go to a Mexican restaurant. Service with high potential for improvement. Steak cooked through instead of medium as stated when ordering, food came before the cutlery, drinks were forgotten... Dear people, something like that is just annoying. And then the place is terribly loud. Conversing across the table is almost impossible. Second chance? Rather no.

Was there for dinner yesterday. The tapas don't have much in common with Spanish tapas. Patatas “bratas” were soggy and no seasoning or like the original with hot sauce and allioli. The olives weren't Spanish at all either. The selection on the tapa plate was very clear. Not recommended if you're hoping for Spanish tapas. The cocktails are recommended.

Top Qualität beim Essen, den Cocktails und gerade auch bei den Bedienungen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Tolle Auswahl beim Essen (Steaks, Mexikanisch, Vegan und Vegetarisch...). Sehr gute Alkoholqualität. Die Bedienung berät freundlich und kompetent, nimmt sich Zeit, obwohl das Lokal voll besetzt ist.
